Stylish holiday apartment in the old Gulfhof

This apartment was built with a lot of love for detail in an old, listed Gulfhof. Here you will stay in the middle of nature very close to the East Friesland hiking trail. It is only 6km to the old town of Leer. On the terrace with a southern orientation and views of the graft and natural pastures, you can forget about everyday life and relax. The apartment has a bedroom with a very comfortable double bed (1.60m x 2.00m). In the living room with open kitchen is another sofa bed with a width of 1.40 m. A TV with DVD player is also available. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, fridge, stove with oven,toaster, electric kettle and a Nespresso machine. If required, two bicycles (28-inch men's and women's bicycles) are available free of charge for the duration of the stay by arrangement.

The forge was built around 1920 and used as such. In 2009, the building was renovated and rebuilt as a holiday apartment and lovingly renovated in 2017 and in the spring of 2022. Ideal for vacationing in this natural area "Hollesand". From the in-house terrace with BBQ, seating and loungers you can see green horse meadows. An extensive network of cycle paths awaits you for a cycling tour, e.g. to the "Hollesand", the large nature reserve, only 500m away from the house.

Good corner, arrive and feel good

Our apartment was completed in 2019 and is located on the 1st floor on Gut Winkel, the oldest still existing farm of the municipality of Apen. Very high quality and lovingly equipped, it offers space for up to 4 people on 120sqm. If the 25 sqm large roof terrace is not sufficient for you, garden use is of course allowed. Just like exploring the whole farm. We live here together with our dogs, horses and cats and are looking forward to your visit!

My place is close to Papenburg( Meyerwerft) and Leer with its beautiful historic old town. Because there are always negative reviews left about the location. The accommodation is BETWEEN Papenburg and Leer. Both are about 12 km away. Shopping facilities are abundant in the village. Nearby is the amusement park on the Emsdeich, where you can swim well in summer. My place is good for couples and business travelers. Private entrance.
