The cabin is as described, clean, with a beautiful lake and forest around. We enjoyed kakaying and the sauna, but these are only a few of the many possible activities. Angela and Chris were kind and very welcoming, we look forward to coming back.

Staying at the cabin was such a pleasant experience. I stayed with my husband, our 4 children and my teenage brother and did not feel crammed at all. The cabin was outfitted with very comfy beds and a pullout couch with blankets and plenty of extra sheets. Everything was very clean and updated, yet still exuded the rustic and cozy feel we were looking for. We also got the chance to meet Angela who is a very welcoming and friendly host. Overall, the experience was wonderful and we would definitely go back in the future.

From arriving the welcome note was awesome. The cabin was everything expected and more the beach was beautiful water was warm and kayaks were a lot of fun. My wife and our dog also enjoyed the beach and the peacefullness of the nature itself. The family that stays in the main house on the water is very down to earth and best of all friendly.

The cabin was clean and quaint and had everything we needed for our family celebration - a kitchen with a working stove and fridge, a picnic table center stage which was practical & appropriate, and plenty of places to rest when lights went out. Loved the wooded area and the sweet welcome outside our door from Chip-Chip. He definitely added to the "family" atmosphere. Thank you for the hospitality!

Our stay at Angela's cabin was purely great! The surroundings are beautiful, especially the lake! The cabin is simple but has everything you need and has a great rustic charm. Angela and her family were more than welcoming, offered their help, let us use their kayaks and paddle board and the sauna. It was great to spend two days in this little paradise. We felt really welcome and would love to come back!

A beautiful and artistic place to stay, full of light and color. The room is very large, and has big windows-- it's got a sitting area as well as being a bedroom. Tracy and Sue are great hosts. The gardens are amazing, we loved walking around and sitting by the pond before we started our day. We only stayed for one night but would have gladly stayed longer.

We really enjoyed out stay at Tracy and Sue's place! The space was clean and full of interesting art. The gardens surrounding the house were beautiful and the chickens were happy to have some company, but weren't noisy at night. The room itself was very comfortable and spacious and the private bathroom was clean and bright. We would definitely stay here again and may if I run the same race next year. This was an amazing place to stay. The pictures are very accurate.

House is exactly as described on AirBnb. Very charming old home with plenty of space for our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, cooking pans, plates, etc. We had brought along some fans (just in case)..but were VERY happy to find AC's on when we arrived....on one of the hottest days of the summer so far, as well as some treats left for us! The house was COOL for our entire stay!! We will def consider staying here again in the future.

Great location, nice place, and Angela was very friendly, prompt, and informative in all communications. There was some noise from the apartment above, but not while we were sleeping, so it didn't really matter (and this was part of the description so still totally as-advertised). We were only staying there as a couple, so the overall size was overkill, but we'd go back, especially if going with others.

The apt was roomy and very convenient to our many favorite locations in the area.

We had a great experience while staying in Stonington/Westerly. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised to see a bottle of wine and roses for our (URL HIDDEN) very thoughtful! The location is perfect. It's a quick, easy walk into downtown Westerly. It is also just a short drive into beautiful Watch Hill and/or Mystic. The house itself is a bit dated, however it is charming. In addition, the parking in the back makes life easy. Thanks for welcoming us and making our anniversary a memorable one!

Clean accommodation and good conversation with the host. The house is very old and used, the walls are thin like paper. But at night the neighbors were silent and everything was fine. It is cheap and you get what you pay for.

The house is spacious and has an amazing view of the water from the living room area and the large deck. Big windows offer lots of natural light. The bedrooms upstairs are also a good size. If you are planning to cook, the house has most of the basics you'll need (cutlery, pots, pans, grill.) The grill had plenty of propane, which is always appreciated. The upstairs shower had low water pressure, but we found the downstairs shower and bath to be better (and larger.) Other than the bath, we did not use the downstairs living area. The house is in a nice low traffic neighborhood perfect for walking or riding a bike.

Pam's place is wonderfully located with gorgeous views. If we come back to the area, we would love to stay again. It was spacious and well equipped. It wasn't until the last day that I noticed that there was shoreline access to the water down the street, though we loved walking down the dock behind the house. We enjoyed the views, the space and the outside shower. The Bakery Cafe down the street had magnificent baked goods. Pam communicated clearly and responded to any questions that we had in a timely manner. Thanks for everything, Pam.

Our family of 3 adults and 2 children had a great time. The view from the deck was outstanding. We would recommend the house to anyone. We look forward to staying there again.

Pam is the most helpful host one could whish for! She'll do just anything for her guests!! We had a smaller issue that had to be dealed with and she offered to come right away! She's not at all hard to deal with, on the contrary she's very easy going and also very hospitable. There's not a lot of house rules that makes you afraid of doing something wrong because she puts a lot of trust in her guests, The veranda is absolutely gorgeous and spacious and a lovely place to relax.

If you love the beauty of nature and a family friendly and comfortable setting, you will be so pleased with this rental property. Pam was easy to talk to, up front and responsive to our needs. The location was perfect with the ultimate views. Kayaking right from the yard was a treat. great rental!

I loved ny stay at Wendy's home! Her hospitality was off the charts and she really deserves 6 stars for that! When I arrived she pulled out a cheese platter complete with wine! She also had breakfast every morning and shared her dinner one night! Wendy is personable and loves what she dies. Her place is clean and inviting. Her dogs like to bark but they are harmless! I highly recommend her place! It is secluded in the woods so you will get a restful sleep! The bed is very comfortable! I loved it and I will be back!

Could not speak highly enough of our experience in this great little town! 6 friends and I rented the cottage for a weekend getaway as an alternative to going to Cape Cod, and I'm so glad we did. The lakeside location makes this Airbnb a great value. It was clean, and the owners, who live next door, were incredibly hospitable. Some of my favorite parts of the place: 5 minutes from a Stop and Shop and from a great coffee place (Higher Grounds), access to a kayak and canoes, a backdoor patio complete with a grill (which we used to make lunch for 8 people one of the days), TV with chromecast. The beds are all downstairs and are clean and comfy, and at night we used the fire pit to make smores and hang out by the lake. Really an incredible stay for a great price, I'm hoping to make this an annual trip!

I booked The Cottage because my friends and I were looking for a place to stay before a near by road race. We weren't expecting much, just a place to sleep, shower and stay with our dog. We were very pleasantly surprised. From the moment we arrived on Friday night we felt like we escaped the big city and found a place we could unwind for the weekend. We were even able to take out the kayak and canoe for a nice relaxing afternoon on the lake. Breathtaking views for our morning coffee were an added bonus. The hosts were accommodating and went above and beyond. We will definitely be back, making this weekend a tradition!

A perfect escape from the real world(without being that far from I95!) The Sleepy Hollow cabin has everything you need to relax and reconnect with nature, the pine interior is so charming and the bed was super comfy! Location is fantastic as you are in the middle of the woods on a private pond and yet a few miles out from casinos, shopping, Mystic etc. Tim and Linda were great hosts and the communication was excellent. They even left us fresh eggs from their chickens for breakfast. Great place, we will be back!

Tim and Linda were great hosts! Their cabin in the woods was the perfect place for a weekend away from the city. They were super friendly and helpful upon arrival, and even left us some farm fresh eggs and pancake mix for breakfast! My husband and I had a great time fishing in the pond right out front (we caught six fish!) and sipping coffee and wine on the deck. It's such a peaceful and serene place. The location is great if you're looking to do a day trip to Mystic or Stonington - we visited a few places while there. I highly recommend this listing to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. It was a great time!

If you are thinking of refreshing, resting, and relaxing time somewhere in nature but not too far from town, i highly recommend this place. tim is an excellent and caring host and all things are prepared just right for that. the little pond, trees, birds and crickets-like sounds, breeze, and quietness are waiting for you to relax. newly renovated house gives you the refreshing smell of woods and the view from inside is quite pleasant. it is just right.

Sleepy Hollow cabin is a rustic gem in the most tranquil setting. Waking up to the view of the pond and trees in the morning and seeing the stars at night is such a treat coming from the NJ/NYC area. We grilled some kabobs on the gas grill and enjoyed some wine on the porch. Our son loved catching frogs in the pond with the net Tim offered us to use. A quick drive to Mystic which has a great aquarium for kids, cute little shopping village, and activities and restaurants near the water. Also close to Foxwoods casino, though we didn't go because we were with our toddler. Tim and Linda are phenomenal hosts and the cabin is such a peaceful place to escape. We highly recommend a stay here!

Tim's cabin was perfect for us! Much roomier than a hotel would have been, and we absolutely loved being removed from everything. I went with my wife, mother-in-law, and 8 week old child and had plenty of room! We were in town for a wedding at one of Foxwood's locations, and it was only about a 15 minute drive there. Less than a $20 Uber ride, which was fantastic for our late night trip home! (One tip: If you are taking an Uber from the cabin, check ahead of time how long it will take them to get there. Took about 15 minutes for one to get to me, which worked out great. But you likely won't find an Uber there to pick you up in 5 minutes). Tim and his wife were extremely generous hosts, and if I ever return to the area this will definitely be my choice of lodging!

The cabin is completely new and has all one could think of when staying in the tranquility of North Stonington. Fantastic bed and bathroom, new gas grill on the deck, beach chairs with an umbrella you can borrow. The host will do anything to make your stay wonderful and has been living in this area all his life so they can direct you to the best spots for the beach, restaurants and other activities. We strongly recommend this place and hope to be back some day.

My two friends and I stayed at Tim's place for a weekend in September. It was the perfect home base for our CT winery weekend. The cabin is clean, comfortable, and super cute. It was the perfect amount of space for the three of us. Tim greeted us in the driveway with fresh farm eggs, which we cooked up for breakfast the next morning - so fun. The cabin has everything you need for a quiet, relaxed weekend in the woods. The pond out front was beautiful and I had a lot of fun catching frogs :) There are at least 3 wineries in short driving distance and it was a beautiful area to drive through. We had such a great weekend I'm already recommending Tim's place to friends!

I booked this trip at the absolute last minute and can tell you I am so happy with what I got. Pictures are true to what you'll see from the sunrise to the view of the pond. For me and my Gf this was a great weekend getaway from NYC. It is quiet and peaceful. Angela was very communicative with the messages and was always available if we needed her but she did such a wonderful job with how everything is set up (from the personalized welcome note to the notes around the house with quick info of how to use what and which remote is for this) that we didn't even need to bother her. I almost wish I didn't have to go back to work it was so nice and homey feeling there. Best part was Chip Chip the dog coming to say hi! Definitely recommend Angela and her cottage especially for a romantic getaway you won't regret it and we're already looking forward to booking again!

They made helpful recommendations and dining and parking in Westerly, and even loaned us big spray for our night outside watching Shakespeare in the Park. Our room and bathroom were spotless and comfortable, we slept great! They communicated well with us before and during our stay, and gave us privacy while still being available and helpful.

Close to all the Mystic and Stoning ton activities, this handsomely renovated home is welcoming and spacious - nice linens, wifi, great bathroom. Lynn was a fantastic hostess. We booked a few weeks in advance, and she kept in contact with us throughout, all the way up to check-in day. When we arrived, she greeted us immediately, and she has a way of making you feel like family despite the fact that you are complete strangers. She is caring and attentive. We absolutely loved the loft. It is above the garage, separated from the house by a doorway, so you do not have to worry about disturbing the owners of the home while walking around. The ambiance gives you the feeling of staying in a warm and cozy ski-side resort loft; it has a cozy, rustic, hardwood homey atmosphere. The bathroom was spotless, well stocked with towels, and even had a built-in space heater in the ceiling. The Jacuzzi bathtub is fantastic, and has a shower handle for when you just want to quickly rinse off. There is a kitchen area stocked with the essential appliances (coffee maker, microwave, toaster, mini fridge, etc) as well as a selection of oriental and American teas in the cupboard. Lynn was even nice enough to stock the fridge with seltzer and a fresh carton of milk. Despite the fact that lofts can be drafty and a cold front hit us during our stay and the temp outside dropped to 36F, Lynn's loft is sealed tight and well insulated, so we stayed warm enough to not even have to sleep under the blankets. The bed was a happy medium between soft and firm, and was well stocked with pillows so you can leave yours at home. There is a small collection of roughly a dozen DVD movie classics, including Lord of the Rings. There was not a sound outside, with the exception of the wind, so sleep was undisturbed and during the day the tranquility allowed cozy relaxation. As with any good getaway, we left saying we wish we had one more day.

Wendy & Frank's place was clean & accessible and the breakfasts were hearty. As warned, the mattress is quite firm so bring extra padding if you like that kind of thing. Shower and bed were tall enough to accommodate my husband at 6'10". The setting is beautiful and peaceful.

This is a very modern, nearly finished home set in the woods near the interesting New England village of Stonington, CT. The onsite owner designed the house and was helpful and personable. It was very quiet except for morning birds and the occasional excitement of the owner's two small, friendly dogs. Our room had curtainless windows on three sides (we were fine with the privacy afforded by the forest), an excellent tv, a comfortable bed, and a full bathroom close by. There were several good-to-excellent restaurants in Stonington. We had a superb evening meal at the Main Street Cafe. All in all, a great value.

We had a wonderful stay with Wendy. The hospitality, the bedroom and private bath, the stylish interior, and the abundant gardens all add up to an exceptional experience. We really enjoyed getting to know Wendy. She even sent us home with a banana bread and plant divisions from her garden!

Wendy was a great host. She was always around and engaging for conversations, especially over the full breakfast she provided each morning. The house was secluded at the end of a long dirt driveway in the woods next to a nature preserve. We were able to find enough Ubers to get into Westerly/Misquamicut (though we had some trouble finding one to get home late on a weeknight-- though not very surprising for such a quiet area). We had a good stay here.

Clean, cozy and comfortable. Private entrance made it nice to be able to come and go and not disturb anyone.

It's in a quiet country area but still only about 15 - 20 minutes from the beaches , casino , and mystic . We had a great stay and will be booking again next year or possibly sooner . The apartment was very clean and welcoming .

This is our second stay at John's and hopefully not our last! Excellent communication, wish I could give the location more stars than 5, comfortable beds, huge bathroom, clean. Peaceful, country setting with crickets singing us to sleep. Our favorite!!!!

We loved this place! Beautiful outdoor area, spacious and clean indoor area, and a quick (and inexpensive uber ride) ride to foxwoods. I would most definitely recommend staying here.

The booking arrangements were made easily and communication with John were swift and helpful. He offered support at any time. Due to a technial problem (with my Smart phone?) we had no exchange of our SMS messages for two days of our our three days stay ... but it wasn´t a real issue. The apartment was in a good shape and provided everything we needed. As a courtesy we found some fresh eggs, jam and coffee in the kitchen ... which was appreciated. A big "plus" from our point of view was the big and quiet & "green" location. Close by was the nice village Westerly we enjoyed nice breakfast at Mia's Prime Time Cafe (1 W Broad St, Pawcatuck, CT 06379) All in al, we enjoyed our stay and can really recommend this apartment to anybody ... but it is particulary suitable for families (up to four - like us) and holiday makers which do look for a quite and spacious place to wind down and relax.

John was a wonderful host. He accommodated us on short notice for a one night stay. The space was very clean and very spacious. We wish we could of stayed longer. Hope to be back again soon!

The Apartment in the Country beautifully fit my family's needs for a comfortable, convenient place for a single overnight in the gorgeous Stonington area. The hosts made it possible for us to arrive at the time that worked best for us, even though it was pretty late. Three comfortable queen beds, incredibly clean (you could eat off every surface in the apartment), super quiet, exactly as promised -- thanks so much!

To be able to stay on such a scenic location that is affordable and beautiful with so many amenities is just so great. A sauna, kayaks, BBQ, 2 cabins, steam room/sauna and the biggest most wonderful take away of all, the amazing Beach/Pond that is partially in Rhode Island! (My friends and I kayaked over to Rhode Island, it was so magical) I really hope that you will have us back since we would love to visit again, this time for at least 2 days <3

Looking for a quiet retreat in a woodsy area, this was perfect. We loved the view of the water and access to the kayaks. Enjoying coffee on the porch, being entertained by the humming birds swooping in for their breakfast was exactly the contrast from the city noise that we were looking for.....thanks for sharing your beautiful space with us!

Lovely little lake cabin. Quick responses to emails and texts. The sauna was amazing! The cabin was toasty and warm, even in December. Hiking trails begin immediately across the street from the driveway which was great. Very happy with the whole experience!

The cabin was absolutely adorable and clean! What a great hidden gem! I didn't have a lot of time there unfortunately, but I would definitely go back to take advantage of the lake and beautiful surroundings!

Had such a wonderful weekend staying at Ellis. Unfortunately I only got the pleasure to meet Angela on the way out but she was so friendly when speaking with her, she emailed us a week before the trip and the directions were very clear. The cabin was clean and cozy, and she even left snacks out which were great when getting into town with no food! We loved the trails that were walking distance from the property and the local national forest. We also found a nice little town in Rhode Island with a great tavern for dinner. I'm so glad we came all the way from Texas to stay there and hope to come back soon!

We needed a place last minute because our camping trip was rained out. We found this gem and our evening turned out even better than expected. Angela was very accommodating and the cabins were clean and cozy! The beds and bedding were higher quality than expected. We sadly did not get to experience the sauna but it was ready for us if we wanted. The beach and lake are lovely. I will definitely be back.

Joshua was an excellent host. He communicated and treated us very well. Upon our arrival, we found an unexpected gift to compensate for the sidewalk construction that was happening in the neighborhood along with a wonderful selection of breakfast food in the refrigerator! The house was adorable as well!

Looking at outside, wouldn't realize there was lots of room with multiple kitchens, bathrooms. Easy access to highways and beaches. Host is very welcoming with coffee/tea and cream in fridge! Towels, linens-- all ready.

The house had plenty of room for 8 to sleep comfortably and several rooms for privacy and individual activity. The neighborhood was clean and quiet. Close to shopping and a few miles to beaches. Classic Westerly.

Joshua was really helpful and was easy to communicate with. The house is adorable, and could definitely fit a lot of people comfortably. It was a 10 minute drive to the state beach, where we spent most of our days! There were great restaurants close by to go to. Amigos Taqueria Y Tequila is right in downtown Westerly and the food was amazing. There wasn't air conditioning and a few of the nights it was pretty warm both downstairs and upstairs. Overall this fit our needs, you can't beat the price, and it was a positive stay.

Mark and Sonja are very kind and helpful hosts. They pointed us to the kind of place we wanted to eat dinner and to the beach. They set us up with the movie we wanted to watch in the evening, treated us to a delicious evening snack and morning breakfast. The two bed room was perfect for us as mother and son traveling together.

Perfect spot for a beach weekend

Excellent communication! Rosa was available and checked in very friendly. It was an easy process beginning to end. Clean and cozy home. Excellent amenities and great location. Would definitely stay again. Only thing to note and it's not negative just an fyi for any future guests. There is no television in bedrooms which actually was a nice break! Was worried about kids but they were so exhausted from beach they crashed. Can't say enough how wonderful Rosa and her home are. Perfect vacation!

The town was very comfortable and clean. We couldn't even tell there was a neighbor next door. The home was conveniently located within a 15 minute drive to the beach and 10 driving minutes or less to shops and restaurants.

Our stay with Rosa was superb. The house was spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. We loved sitting out and grilling on the back patio. The beach pass made logistics going to the beach very easy, and Rosa gave us great recommendations for local food activities and nightlife. It is obvious that Rosa takes the time to really think about the guest when renting out her home. The place was nicely decorated and it truly felt like a home, rather than a space someone was just trying to rent out. Rosa provided us with everything we could possibly need and more, from plenty of towels to games and movies. The house was in a nice, quiet neighborhood not too far from beaches, restaurants and shopping. Rosa was also so nice and easy to communicate with, I would certainly book with her again and/or recommend her to others. We really enjoyed our stay.

Elizabeth's place is right on the ocean. You can hear the waves from anywhere in the house. In fact, the house is only about 30 or 40 yards from the surf. I had never stayed in a house right on the ocean, and it is an experience! The rhythmic waves relaxed me immediately. It's such a strong sensory experience that I told my wife, should I owned a place like this, I would never leave. The house has two bedrooms and a loft, as well as a spacious kitchen/dining room/living room area, and my favorite, the deck, complete with table chairs and umbrella. All of the beds were comfortable. Most importantly, it was very clean. There was a lot of writing I wanted to do, and I truly believe that the ocean enhanced my powers of concentration. Elizabeth, even though she was halfway around the world, was extremely attentive to my emails. Whenever I had a question, she was on it. Also, check out the on-line manual she wrote. It gives restaurant information along with describing the placement of things in the house. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. There is a signed, private beach right in front of the house, beach chairs, an umbrella. I swam in the ocean on Labor Day and it was bracing and invigorating. I took long walks on the beach past fisherman, bathers, and fires on the beach. (But you are not allowed to build a fire on Elizabeth's private beach.) This is one special house. Everyone in our party would love to return ASAP.

My wife and adult children had a wonderful weekend stay at Elizabeth's cottage on Charlestown Beach. Cottage description and pictures were accurate. The house was clean and neat, beds comfortable and kitchen was extremely well equipped for any kind of cooking or barbecuing. The host was also easy to communicate with and was quite accommodating with a few requests. While the cottage is small, when you're directly on the beach with many other activities in the area, you don't need much indoor room. All in all, a great experience. Thanks Beth.

This home is perfect to recharge & relax. My husband and I were looking for a place to stay with our 9 month old son and this home did not disappoint. We enjoyed taking morning walks to the breakway, dinner at Mattunick Oyster Bar (a must!), checking out the Fantastic Umbrella Factory and breakfast at The Bakery (the cinnamon roll is amazing!!). The beach was beautiful; we were so lucky to have perfect weather! The house is well equipped to make dinner (I highly recommend the Charlestown Super for fresh seafood), bedrooms/bathrooms were clean and the beds were comfy. There were cards and a few board games that provided some nightly entertainment. Our favorite part was being able to put our son to bed and enjoying the sunset on the deck. It was a perfect weekend and we cannot thank Beth enough for being such a gracious host. We can't wait to rent again!

This was a great stay! The home and property truly was as described... as solitary, quiet and peaceful retreat. I was pleasantly surprised at how scenic and rural this area was yet still so close to the beaches of Narragansett and the surrounding area. Beverly is a gracious host and went out of her way to make sure my late return in the evening was encountered by a lit house, easy access and all the amenities one could ask for. I would add that it's a beautiful property and the layout affords plenty of privacy inside as well as the expansive gardens all around, which make a perfect relaxation/reading spot. Oh, and breakfast was great too! Over all I would highly recommend a stay with Beverly if you're headed to Rhode Island.

Beverly is a very sweet and accommodating host. Her garden is beautiful and you can really feel the love she puts into everything she does, we will definitely go back to her place to enjoy her garden, and her beautiful home.

Beverly is an incredible host and made me feel right at home during my stay in Rhode Island. I stayed with her for 10 weeks over the summer during an internship I had in Newport. She keeps a clean home and will make sure you are taken care of while you are there. The property is beautiful with all the gardens she maintains and is peaceful and quiet. It's in a great location as well for seeing all of Rhode Island; it's only about half an hour drive to Providence, Newport, and most of the South County beaches. She made great recommendations for places to see and places to eat while I was there. If this weren't enough, her breakfast breads alone are reason for me to come back when in town again.

I had a delightful time staying at Beverly's. It was as described and the other guests who were there were charming as well. Plan to make this a "same time next year" tradition.

I stayed with Beverly over a weekend, when I was visiting RI for a trip (to film sharks!) Beverly is really very nice, because of my trip, I arrived late and she met me and helped me get settled. I had to cancel for one day as due to the weather my trip got pushed back a day and she was very kind and accommodating. Her place is great, really feels like home and has a nice breakfast for everyone. As a plus I got to meet a very nice couple who were also staying there and discuss sharks with them. I would certainly visit again!

Flowers and a calm spirit await any visitors to to the home of Beverly. Rooms are tasteful, clean and cozy. I plan on sending my friends to enjoy this 20 minute drive to Newport deal.

Wonderful stay.. House , grounds, and host were tops. And, for those who enjoy being away from the beaten path, it was great. FOr those of us, like me , who enjoy eateries nearby, there was a campstore with ice cream and basics within walking distance.
