As I arrive late, Marlene and Reg always welcomes me, the bed and room are clean and warm, and I sleep well. I return to their home monthly, and Marlene provides a very healthy and delicious breakfast. I appreciate their hospitality and look forward to seeing them again.

Cannot say enough things about this lovely couple and their beautiful home. Reg and Marlene are warm and inviting hosts, welcoming me in with a cup of tea and a plate of cookies - the perfect thing for an Arizona girl hitting below 40 temps! They took great interest in why I was visiting and we had lovely discussions about everything from softball and pickleball to powerlifting and exercise. Reg and Marlene have a deep interest in a healthy lifestyle and they use beautiful essential oils - stepping into their home smells like you've walked into a spa! The attic room is equally warm and inviting, although it should be noted there are lots of stairs if you are not that nimble. The morning cereal is lovely. Go, stay with these fine people, you will not regret it!

My workmate and I had the pleasure of spending 2 nights in Judy’s beautiful Victorian home in Scranton. The neighborhood was gorgeous & I enjoyed being able to walk to a great restaurant for dinner. The bedroom was spacious & beautifully decorated and the king size bed was comfy. There was an ample supply of delicious coffee with half & half and filtered water in the in-room refrigerator. I’m sorry I didn’t get to meet Judy in person but we kept in touch and her husband & son were great hosts. I won’t hesitate to book with Judy again if my travels take me to Scranton. Maggie

We stayed at Judy's lovely home in the King Size Bed room when stopping in Scranton on our way home to western PA from Boston. Judy's hospitality and home were a welcomed relief following a hectic day of heavy traffic. The room was on the 3rd floor of her elegant home with a full bathroom down the hall. The other 2 Airbnb rooms were not occupied at the time so we had the bathroom all to ourselves. The room was nicely appointed with windows that opened, a small refrigerator, microwave, wifi, dresser with mirrors, comfortable chair, tv for movies, and a king size bed with a very comfortable mattress. There were many nice restaurants within walking distance. Since it was a Sunday night our walking choices were limited but Judy told us of a nice Pub & Grill that was located a short distance away. The walk there was so very pleasant through a neighborhood of some of the most beautiful homes in Scranton. We would definitely stay at Judy's home again if the opportunity arises.

It is a stunning neighborhood with a variety of cafes and shops within walking distance. Judy's home fits right into the neighborhood, as it is beautiful both externally and internally. Quiet, clean, comfortable, and I felt right at home. One of the perks if that Judy owns two amazing dogs who are people friendly and adore to be pet. Though my stay was very short-lived, it was a wonderful one. Judy was an excellent host.

Judy did everything to make the booking process and stay as easy as possible for our special last minute circumstances! I was able to book the room the same day within a couple of hours of arrival! The room was lovely and located in a gorgeous victorian home in a pleasant safe part of town! Judy was even so nice as to provide a toddler bed for my friend's daughter with a little stuffed animal to make her feel right at home! There was also water and coffee maker that were provided which were really nice touches! Host was on hand for easy check in even though it was quite late which we really appreciated!! I have nothing but praise for this listing!!

The Dunmore home was a wonderful rental for my family during our Thanksgiving holiday. The house is older, classic and we loved the charm. Everything we needed was available inside the house and there was plenty of room for our group of 8. There is an amazing coffee shop (Zummos) that is about a 10 minute walk away, and next door to a yoga studio. Downtown Scranton is 1.5 miles away.

Our family of four are very sad to leave your beautiful period home - we have thoroughly enjoyed our weeks holiday in Dunmore. Situated in a the quiet & safe residential Green Ridge neighbourhood, the house is very spacious, clean, comfortable & beautifully furnished, whilst providing mod cons required by teenagers (wifi, tv's, plenty of bathrooms and hot water, etc). We visited during a heat wave; the air con was essential. Thomas was an excellent host, providing information & support as needed. It is 6+ years since we visited the area, we re-visited several old favourite eating & shopping establishments and also found many new ones, some within walking distance of the house. We will return to the area to visit friends and would definitely re-book your home.

My mother and I stayed for one month in this very comfortable home! There was lots of room to spread out and we especially enjoyed the well-appointed living room, screened sunroom and tv./ entertainment room. There is a beautiful patio and backyard set up for relaxing on the lounge or grilling on the barbeque. The basement is fully finished and I did use the treadmill a few times on rainy/hot days. We loved walking around the neighborhood --Greenridge, which is the best in the city (many beautiful old homes). Thomas, the host was really responsive and always got back to us within a short time to answer our questions. All in all --a great stay.

What a wonderful experience! We rented this house for Christmas week and it was perfect for us. The house was warm, inviting, very spacious and had the perfect atmosphere for our family reunion. It was well stocked with linens, etc., beds were very comfortable and there were even Christmas lights up and wreaths on the windows. Tom made us feel very much at home and was gracious and agreeable to any request I had. We will surely stay at this home again when our family visits Scranton. Staying at Helen's was a real treat. When we visit family in the area, we often have to stay in sterile hotel rooms, or in our family's homes without much space to ourselves. At Helen's we had a front yard, back yard, kitchen stocked with anything we needed to cook- even an outdoor grill and a fountain that our kids played in (though they probably shouldn't have!) We were only a party of 4 people, so the house was 6 times the amount of space we needed but it was perfect at the same time. Thank you Bessie and Nicole- thank you so much.

Helens House was great and our party of 15 enjoyed the house very much. The rooms were well managed and clean. The kitchen was well stocked and there is now a gas grill! Lots of space to play outside as well. Would recommend and would love to visit again!

The house is huge and it fit our 16 family and friends staying, comfortably. We had so much room. We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at the house and 40 guest came, it never felt cramped. We had so much seating area inside and out. Everyone who stayed or visited loved being at the house. Our home is in Texas and yet we felt at home here and were able to provide a unique family experience so far from our home. The house is old and has that feel but we loved it. Cute cute cute!! Everything and more. Was a good Thanksgiving away... just the two of us. Even being here in the cold was fun. The indoor fireplaces were cozy and warm and we even had a fire outside when the weather let up. We felt at home and at ease. At this time of year it was quiet and no one was really around... which I like. Quiet and relaxing. Hope to come back at a different time of year and explore the lake in our kayaks.

Mary's lake house was very cute and a great location. The house was clean and comfy. The kayak, canoe, and dock were a wonderful addition to the property.

Mary describes this lake house perfectly, it is charming and cozy and has spectacular views. This is a very quiet lake, peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the awesome sunsets, grilling dinner, playing activities in the yard, resting in the hammock, stand up paddle boarding on the lake ( we brought our own SUPs) and using Mary's two person kayak. If you like the relaxing lake life this is a perfect choice.

This is our 5th visit to our lake-house home! We know this cabin in the summer months and the middle of the winter in Feb when the lake is frozen (2 fireplaces in the cabin plus a fire pit outside) If you are looking for the perfect "getaway" cabin for you and your family, look no further...this is it! Quiet, peaceful surroundings with a homey feel. Hours of swimming and kayaking in the lake. Mary is a wonderful host and we couldn't be happier. looking forward to our next trip!!!

Wajahat is a very helpful and very communicative host. His place is perfect for solo travellers for 1/2 nights and more basis your requirement. Its a single room towards the back of the house. The washroom is to be shared with the host. The kitchen is easily accessible. Its a very basic place so please be self sufficient in carrying any necessities etc.. The walk around the area is beautiful and downtown is easily walkable within a mile. Ubers are easily available and will ideally cost around $6 one way... Its a bachelor's pad. A simple, basic stay.

I especially appreciated the use of color, the eclectic charm and beautiful planters, thoughtfully placed. The continental breakfast was elegant and delicious. It felt like four star hotel. A bonus that it is so close to the University and downtown. Would highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed at this lovely hotel for Parent Weekend at U of Scranton. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully decorated. We were walking distance to everything in Scranton and Paul was very accommodating. We will definitely be back.

The Colonnade was by far the nicest place we have stayed at via AirBnb; in fact, it was nicer than most 5 star hotels we have visited. It is in the heart of downtown Scranton - perfect for walking to a business event, lunch, or the University of Scranton. The hosts have restored this marvelous architectural gem to its original state with a modern flare. We truly felt like we were living like Jay Gatsby! We certainly will be staying there again!

The Colonnade was impressive and the room comfortable and clean. We did feel a wee bit abandoned and we did not see our host, or anyone, except when we arrived. We did have a couple of issues, and were unable to reach anyone on the phone. One of the issues we ended up resolving on our own and the other by text message with the host when we realized calls were not working. Even in the morning when our light continental breakfast was dropped off outside the door, we did not see anyone. The room was warm and cozy but the rest of the house was unheated and inaccessible to us. This was all ok, but these are things to be aware of. Paul did quite nicely help us up with the luggage when we arrived. And he kindly made me an egg as a substitute for the pastry they serve as I can not eat sugar. All in all we were comfortable but felt slightly like we were in a deserted house.

This is a great open layout home with a secluded, private pool. Perfect for friends or family to hangout, take a swim, or simply enjoy the nature around you. Conveniently located just 5+ miles from anything you might need. The host was great. Met us at the home and provided an explanation on the entire home. For us the best part was being 5 minutes from Chapman Lake, where my family spends the last 2 weeks of the summer. The teenagers were thrilled to use a private pool and hot tub in the cool summer evening of PA. Also loved the star filled sky with no nearby lights.

This location is by far a piece of paradise hidden away. Motty was extreamly helpful throughout our stay and will most definitely be coming back with my family.

My mom and I were on a road trip passing through Scantron enroute to Canada. We were exhausted and couldn’t drive any further so needed a place to stay. Ryan – not only did he have n super fast response time but he was able to accommodate us at his place within 1hr of me contacting him for availability! He was very helpful and let us in soo late. His apartment is very beautiful in the heart of downtown Scantron. Place is very clean and well kept. I will most definitely recommend this place to anyone else and would keep in mind when passing through the city again!

Ryan's house is absolutely great for stay, one of the best I have ever stayed, Ryan is obviously elegant, that can be seen from the decorations and all the details you can feel, every fitment fit my taste, that is where you want to live! Ryan is very friendly and everything needed is well provided, including a brief brochure to introduce the surroundings, location is about 5-10 mins walk to locate bus station, so that is convenient enough, Ryan has a good dog, that is the only part need to pay attention if you are not a dog fan (but I am). To summarise, high rate to recommend.

Ryan was so accommodating as my flights were cancelled, rescheduled, and changed again. He made sure he was here to welcome me and show me around even though timing was changing. His condo is beautiful, comfortable and clean. The kitchen area is modern and open and the living room provides a relaxing space. My room was lovely and the bed was SO comfortable! The Heritage Trail is a short walk from his home and provided a terrific place for my morning walks. The paved shady pathway along the Lackawanna River seemed miles away from the city, but is about 1/2 mile away. Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. I used Uber to go farther afield and had no trouble getting a ride. Ryan is a most thoughtful and considerate host and his condo provides a delightful place to stay in Scranton. Thanks, Ryan!

Ryan was a great host! His condo was clean and luxurious, and he was very accommodating about our late evening arrival time. I especially liked his dog, who was extremely friendly! Checking in and out was extremely convenient and flexible. The apartment was nicely decorated and had everything that we needed plus a little extra. John checked in with us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall, a very nice stay.

John's apartment was a great place to spend a night. It's exactly as advertised, and John was an excellent host. He responds to messages nearly instantly, and leaves snacks and water for guests. Sheets, towels, couches, etc. are very clean, as is the kitchen area and the bedroom. The place is surprisingly big, and we noticed that in addition to the main bed (queen size), John provides an air mattress and the couch rolls out into a futon. On the whole, it was an above average stay. I have to mention that John didn't, in my experience, interact with us at all. Secondly, the house's location isn't in the nearby proximity of any restaurants or nightlife areas- it takes quite the walk to reach anything of note. About a mile and a half away is Main Street, where you'll find a strip of local businesses that can make for some okay/average entertainment. Nothing trendy, though. Overall, excellent stay. John puts a lot of effort into doing what his customers need done, an example of this being his total and complete willingness to let us check out at 12:00 instead of the suggested 11:00 time. I would definitely come back here on my next trip to Scranton.

The place was super cute for a quick stay overnight. He even had bottled water in the fridge and keurig coffee available which was a life saver after the concert the night before at Montage Mt. Recommended!

We only stayed for one night, but it would be a good location for an extended stay, since it is close to local sights. "Sonny's", a few blocks away was a good place for breakfast. We arrived at about 10 at night, and being unfamiliar with the neighborhood, were not sure how safe it was, but it turned out to be fine. Everything looks better in the light of day! We never actually met John. He just left the door open for us. However, he had prepared the place well, and we had all we needed.

Kathy was super helpful leading up to the weekend, answering all of my questions about what we need to bring, and what was available to use at the house. The house is perfect for a weekend getaway with friends, theres tons of space and rooms for everyone. We loved how the open kitchen, since we spent most of our time cooking, chatting in the kitchen/living room space.

This place is great! Lots of space, great location and value and the host gave clear instructions about check in and was very easy to contact beforehand. There's a pool and a beach and also a bigger beach at a state park just down the road. One tip: you have to bring your own towels and linens, which is fine if you're driving but a bit complicated if, as was the case with us, friends are flying in. Still a great place to which we would totally return.

I lead my 3 idiot friends into Scranton, Pennsylvania for the sole purpose of witnessing a music festival (Warped Tour). It was only until I was halfway into this 400 mile HELL that I realized I was unfortunately the mother in the group. Despite the damning heat, deafening music, and s***** vodka, my crew of battle-fatigued knuckleheads ended the convention of social rejects with the lovely abode of Stew and Cari. Let me skip the bulls***: It's the best damn deal you'll find on this app. Truthfully, because the price was so friendly, I expected to leave the residence without one of my friends. For the price, my buddies and I accepted the idea that one of us would get murdered. So when we all woke up without having experienced a demonic possession or homicide, we were stunned. The entire place is beautifully touched by a modern taste of beauty and functionality. This sounds weird, but I really appreciated the strong water pressure. I literally have no complaints. At every moment the hosts were able to respond to the stupidest questions. Look no further.
