This lovely, modern room and ensuite bath is detached from the main house, so you can enjoy privacy and quiet. We are a 5 min drive from Ballard and a 15 min drive from downtown. Welcome to our quiet, safe neighborhood!
This separate-entry bedroom and bath is perfect for social distancing. All surfaces have been sanitized for guests' protection. An updated list of restaurants and businesses that are open will be provided for our guests. If you need masks for your outings, let me know! The bedroom has a queen bed with a memory foam topper. Power strips on both sides of the bed allow for cell phone charging. Wireless internet and smart tv are provided. There is a small, walk-in closet so that you can unpack and feel at home. The full bath has shampoo, conditioner, and liquid soap, as well as plush towels. The windows bring in plenty of light and fresh air in the summer and there is also an air conditioner, and the floors have radiant-floor heating for the winter months. I have created a small area to enjoy hot beverages and quick meals. There is a mini-fridge, a hot water kettle, and a French press for your convenience. I provide juice or sparkling water, a variety of teas, freshly ground coffee, instant oat packets, granola bars and fruit. I'll also bake scones on one morning of your stay. With dishes and two chairs, you'll be able to have a quick breakfast before you head out for the day. There is a hair dryer and umbrella to use. If you need something, let me know, and I’ll do my best to accommodate you. A level 2 EV charger is available for guests' use, and solar panels have been installed to make your Airbnb experience an environmentally friendly one. The guest suite is attached to our garage. The garage will not be in use between the hours of 9pm and 9am. However, during the day, family members will occasionally open the garage door, which can be heard from the guest room. Please note that there is not a full kitchen or laundry facilities in your guest suite. Our guest suite is not kid-friendly. Babies and young children are not a good fit for this listing. Ages 12 and older are welcome, as long as your child is part of the 2 person max. Thanks!
Ballard is known as one of the hippest neighborhoods in Seattle. Come to Ballard for amazing restaurants, micro-breweries, and coffee shops; come to shop at the boutiques on Ballard Ave; come to check out the salmon run and the boats coming and going at the Locks; come for the year-round Sunday Farmers’ Market; come for the Golden Gardens beach with views of the Olympics; or come just to walk one of the most walkable neighborhoods in Seattle. Let me proudly advertise an area just two blocks away from our home. Seattle Met named it “one of the city’s best food micro-hoods.” You won’t have to go far to enjoy these amazing restaurants: Honore Bakery, with French macarons that rival those in Paris; the Fat Hen, a light and cheery cafe that serves great breakfasts and coffee; Delancey’s, where locals line up for amazing wood-fire pizza; Essex, serving mixed drinks and bar food especially for foodies; and Brunswick & Hunt, providing farm-to-table fare. I have a notebook full of suggestions of where to eat as well as where to play while you are here. If you'd like, I can email you my info so you can plan ahead.
  • We adored Deb's cozy space and the sweet touches she put into everything. It was clean and comfy. We also loved and appreciated her binder of amazing recommendations for places to go and things to see. Would definitely book with her again.

    Kelsey2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • We were unable to stay due to the coronavirus outbreak, but Deb has been more than helpful as we try to get our refund from Airbnb. I look forward to staying with Deb in the future

  • Great, cozy space - very quiet, comfy bed, and very clean. Debbie is a great host, very quick to respond to any questions and great with local tips. Very relaxed neighborhood close to main public transport or plenty of free parking if you're in a car. It's become my go-to place when in Seattle :)

    Paul2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie’s studio is cute, clean and centrally located in a quiet neighborhood. There was a heating snafu but she was quick to respond to my messages and offered several solutions to fix the issue. It was a nice place to stay during my quick trip to Seattle.

    Viviana2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great little studio in the back yard. Blinds available to create privacy front house house/residence. Good value.

    Brent2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie's place was perfect. She had everything we needed to start each day: coffee, tea, oatmeal, granola bars and of course one day she offers her famous scones. The space clean and being set back from the main house there is plenty of privacy. The location was convenient to get to Greenwood to visit our son. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

  • This is a very nice private room with an excellent hostess. Street parking is readily available. Close to lots in Ballard.

Steps from the water - and a beachside hot tub - our studio is a great place to recharge. Take a pleasant walk or bike ride to restaurants and shops - or head to nearby swimming beaches if it’s hot, or go for a hike in the Olympics (45 minutes away).
The Studio at Frog Palace is our recently remodeled guest space on Appletree Cove, a mile outside of Downtown Kingston. With a luxurious, adjustable-firmness queen bed, new kitchen and bathroom, and adjacent shared washer and drier, it can comfortably accommodate up to 2 adults (air bed and outside tent spaces can be arranged). Kitchen essentials include pots/pans, dishes, electric kettle, microwave, dishwasher, and stocked coffee and half-and-half.
Although Frog Palace is secluded, there's lots to do. Along with shops, restaurants, and a movie theater all within a 5 minutes by bike or a 20-minute walk on great sidewalks, the property fronts onto more than a mile of walkable beaches, and is near great swimming spots. Outings to nearby trailheads are easily arranged (the Quinalt, Duckabush, Skokomish, and Hamma Hamma rivers are popular, along with Mt. Townsend and Mt Zion), and we can help you plan a dayhike and get weather reports/maps. Kayak and Stand-up paddleboards are also available for rent in Kingston.
  • The Frog Palace is one of Kingston's gems (and I'd argue the whole Olympic Peninsula's). My husband and I have visited twice--once for our first dating anniversary and once for our first marriage anniversary-- and both times have been wonderful. Mary was especially mindful and communicative about making our stay safe during COVID-19...and that isn't even counting how she went above and beyond our expectations as a host. She provided fresh eggs from her chickens which made a lovely frittata, coffee and our choice of creamer, and fresh bread. We love the little studio, the hot tub with the gorgeous view of Puget Sound, and her beautiful fragrant garden that wraps all around the house. Thanks, Mary! We'll definitely be back next time we're in the Pacific Northwest.

    Helen2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • A+ host and property. Highly recommended.

    Matt2020-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is very lovely. Right on the beach! Lovely grounds and very nice to sit in the hot tub with beautiful views.

    Jessica2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, quiet, rustic

    Stuart2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in Kingston and it was a great escape from the city. The views from the hot tub down were great at all times of day. We enjoyed drinking our fresh coffee every morning (thanks Jimmy!), bundled up on the chairs down on the dock. The studio stayed warm and cozy. Mary provided all the information we needed to be comfortable. :)

    Kaysi2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Mary’s place is so cozy. It’s a great spot for getting away and unplugging for a while. The hot tub was nice and hot, and private. It was great looking out on the sound both day an night. We took a day trip into Seattle. Mary made the great suggestion to take the Bainbridge Island walk on passenger ferry to downtown Seattle, rather than taking our car on the Kingston/Edmonds ferry. We had a much more enjoyable time that way. Thanks Mary!

    Rachel2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful space. Our weekend getaway was wonderfully romantic! The hot tub on the waterfront blew our minds! You will love this place!!

    Miles2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent view, especially from the hot tub! Space was very clean, Mary was very friendly and allowed us our privacy while also letting us know if anything was needed she would help. Had an amazing stay and will stay again in future travels.

After a relaxing stroll around this leafy, coastal area, get cozy on the outdoor sectional with a book and soak up the ocean air under the festoon lights. A soft gray color palette and wood and copper accents create a homey studio sanctuary.
The studio has everything you need for your stay, including a fully stocked kitchen. The space accommodates two adults. However, if you have a little one with you, we can make the space for a co-sleeper or pack n' play!
The cottage sits behind the main house in a quiet neighborhood, surrounded by 80-year-old evergreen trees and near tons of great coffee shops and restaurants. Just blocks away, there is a staircase that leads to Golden Gardens Beach.
  • Awesome hidden place. Real cozzy and great for a stay-cation

Relax on the garden terrace and admire the view of Puget Sound from this outdoorsy retreat. Large windows provide ample natural light throughout the studio. For cooler nights, curl up next to the fireplace in this home far from the noise of the city. We will provide coffee and tea service as well as a light breakfast of fruit bread and juice for your first day or two with us. We want you to know that we’re doing our part to help our Airbnb guests stay safe by cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces (light switches, doorknobs, cabinet handles, remotes, etc.) before you check in

If you drive to Seattle, it will take about 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the time of day, but you also can choose an early morning express bus on weekdays or limited commuter rail service to downtown Seattle. This is a beach community with walks along the beach, a specially designed dive park with dive shop, a marina, fishing pier and charter-fishing service. A nearby saltwater marsh on the Pacific flyway for bird-watchers. Other opportunities driving to hiking opportunities in the Cascades, eagle-watching on the Skagit River, steelheading and salmon fishing. For the less outdoorsy, the historic downtown -- also a half-mile walk down into town-- includes a movie theater, performing-arts center, art galleries and historic museum. Our place is close to Restaurants, great views, parks, the beach, art and culture. You’ll love our place because of the Cool boutique feel, completely private, brand new construction with all new furnishings. The bathroom feels like you're in a spa, heated floors, fresh, clean design! The OUTSIDE ROOM is amazing! Infrared heat located on a beam for cool winter and summer dining. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
Our brand new space was created to give YOU, the Airbnb guest an amazing experience in our quaint Ballard neighborhood. All new construction including a bathroom with a heated floor that makes you FEEL like you're on vacation. Built in dressers are made of beautiful birch slide out drawers. Total sq. footage of this flat is 500ft, including the" Outside Room". Our space looks and feels like a boutique hotel, fresh, clean design. One of my favorite spaces in our flat is the "Outside Room". The floor and built-in benches are made of IPE, a brazilian hardwood especially suited for our Northwest weather. It is cozy and the view is of our lovely garden which includes an Italian plum tree for a bit of shade. Infrared heat is built into the Outside Room, on the beam above the sitting area. Perfect for cool evenings. We subscribe to Bean Box, a Seattle based coffee bean subscription service. They send us freshly roasted beans that rotate weekly. You will have everything you need on your "Pour Over Coffee Service Tray" to make the quintessential SEATTLE cup of coffee. My tray provides detailed instructions to produce the cup of coffee ALL coffee enthusiasts agree is the BEST way to experience fresh coffee. The Queen bed is protected against bed bugs and dust mites by a certified cover so you won't have to worry about bringing anything home that wasn't invited. The sheets and towels used in our flat are 100% Organic Bamboo, the most luxurious products available. You won't want to leave!
We LOVE our neighborhood! It is SUPER quiet and quaint. It was originally a humble fisherman's house when built in 1945, upgraded and expanded through the years. We are very close to the Locks, Golden Gardens (on Puget Sound) and Larsens Bakery, a historic Norwegian Bakery. Over the past few years, Ballard has emerged as a hub for top notch, creative restauranteurs.World renowned Chef, Renee Erickson opened Walrus and the Carpenter on Ballard Ave a few years ago and just this year won the James Beard Award. Other well known and highly respected Chefs have opened up restaurants on Ballard Ave, as well. Quite a few Microbreweries and Brew pubs have sprouted up too, check them out!
  • Very nice place, I loved the little outdoor area. Very clean and quiet.

  • Wendy's place is perfect for a longterm stay. It is so comfortable and all the furniture (bed, shower, amenities) are high quality and thoughtfully curated. The garden is beautiful and is a lovely place to sit and enjoy in both sun and rain, as their is a heated covered patio. Will be back again!

  • This is a fabulous flat. It is very clean, comfortable and nicely appointed with furnishings. Good location and safe. You will love the beautiful gardens! We highly recommend!

    Monica2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy's place is a great place to land and one where you are happy to hang out. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. I would love to experience the "outdoor room" in summer when the outdoors is accessible. The yard, patio and gardens are lovely, the room tastefully decorated and complete with comfortable seating, kitchen necessities, places to hang things, etc. We never met Wendy, but she has created and maintains a nice place.

    Cami2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb is ideal for the solo business traveler. The neighborhood, Wendy's garden, the outdoor nook and a really comfortable little apartment with everything you need all add up to a great experience. So much better than a hotel room.

    Catherine2020-02-06T00:00:00Z

Nestled in the woods on Apple Tree Cove, this rustic Swedish inspired family built beach cabin is a phenomenal way to enjoy every season. Invite friends for seasonal festivities. With the woodburning stove enjoy a quiet retreat/get away. Comfortably sleeps four. Snuggle in the window seat with a book or a friend. Boating in the estuary is fun year around as are beach and trail hikes. A 5 minute walk to town brings restaurants, bars, events, and the Edmonds/Kingston or Seattle foot ferry.
Walk down the path from the driveway to the cabin. You may use either the front or back decks on the cabin or the lawn that sprawls to the beach. There is a fire pit, picnic tables, sun chairs, and plenty of space around the cabin to use, and you have easy access to the beach and the cove. We are a fragile environment with seasonal plants and flowers and an amazing stand of Bamboo. We do not use any pesticides or chemicals so the grass is safe for children to play. We are very environmentally conscious and make it easy. We have a fully tested UV filtered water system so there is no need for bottled water.
When here you are on the traditional land of the Sovereign Suquamish Tribe. Beaches, green space, playground, tennis courts, Port of Kingston marina, walking trails, local bars and restaurants, grocery store, Kingston Farmers Market, coffee shops, all within walking distance. In December the Port has a brilliant amazing light display. Within 5 miles are two Tribal communities that host events and have casinos......Suquamish Tribe and Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe. White Horse Golf Course is also close by. The Tribal Canoe Journey with many canoes is hosted by the two Tribes the end of July. All are very welcome to the events. The Olympic Peninsula and Olympic National Park are an hour away via the Hood Canal floating bridge. Or, you can just relax and enjoy!
  • A perfect setting to tuck away into. Surrounded by nature and beautiful views, very peaceful ❤️ Walking distance to wonderful restaurants & shops, and the ferry. • Marilyn is literally an ANGEL. I stayed at her cottage during March 2020--we all know this was a challenging time. Her hospitality was amazing. Her spirit was amazing. She stocked the cabin with EVERYTHING I needed. She took such great care of me. The cottage = The MOST SPECIAL Airbnb I've ever stayed at. It is a sanctuary. A place to regroup spiritually. A place to get in touch with the rhythms of nature--all sorts of wildlife on the beach were amazing. I woke up early morning to watch the rituals of the seagulls and geese/ducks. I have no words for what a spiritual, beautiful experience this was. I am so grateful people like Marilyn provide such BEAUTIFUL, SOULFUL SANCTUARIES. I feel so much love and gratitude for her. Please stay here. It is truly special.

  • Marilyn's cottage is a great place to stay....right on the water, very private. I would recommend checking in during daylight as the driveway is a little tight. Loved the woodstove and the history of the cabin.

  • This is a beautiful place to stay with access to great food and outdoor recreation activities in the nearby towns and state parks. Marilyn is also a wonderful host full of thoughtful touches and a strong attachment to her home and cabin. We enjoyed being a part of this!

  • Lotus was an exceptional host and the beach cabin was great. The location and view are amazing and the cabin is warm and inviting. We had to change our reservations multiple times due to changes in air travel and Lotus was always accomodating and helpful. We are thankful for having such a beautiful place to land during a difficult time. Thank you!

  • Seals, a bald eagle, otters, Mount Baker, the beautiful Cascades, and the picturesque ferry were among the lovely views from the dining area and deck. We appreciated the fenced in back yard for our dog, plus the helpfully supplied water dishes and towels for wiping sandy paws. The space was big enough for us 3 relaxed adults and 2 chilled out teens. We had a very relaxing time and are looking forward to returning some day.

  • What a great place. So comfy and such an amazing view. The town was cute too and good restaurants!

  • We spent our Christmas week here. AMAZING time. Lots of room for all of us. Hot water was fast and stayed for all showers, super important for us! The kitchen was perfectly stocked, we were even able to bake a cake with all things provided already in kitchen! The waterfront is RIGHT there and we had a great time watching the ferry pass by, plus walking along the waterfront during low tide to hunt for shells and sea glass. The gate around the yard was a nice touch for our pup to explore but stay safe. Will definitely stay again in the summer.

  • I highly recommend staying here during the fall. It's the perfect cozy house to stay with a fire going, watch the boats coming in, or go for a walk gathering seashells on a quiet beach during low tide. Lotus has everything you need at the house with all of the amenities well thought out. Highly recommend staying here!

May 2020 Update: We are open for new bookings, following increased cleaning & disinfecting protocols. Find your landing place nestled in a cottage amidst a PNW garden landscape with peekaboo views of the Puget Sound. 10 min from the Kingston ferry to Seattle. The main suite boasts furniture hand built of old growth timber with modern amenities and a stocked coffee bar. The attached sun room provides a tranquil setting with a hammock and expansive garden windows that offer natural sunlight.
The Upper Left Landing is a completely separate and private guest house, sharing a 1 acre parcel with my home. The cottage is located approximately 100 ft away and includes bottom up/top down shades for added privacy. The main guest suite is a studio, with all the vibes of the Pacific Northwest. The kitchen includes a fully stocked coffee and tea bar with a variety of local coffee beans and teas and preparation methods - pressed, poured over or traditionally brewed. All the utensils and necessities for cooking, including a smaller blender and waffle maker (including all the necessities for waffle making). There is no microwave. Sip your coffee from a bar top hand made from old growth Douglas fir, and enjoy the peekaboo view of the Puget Sound from the hand built bed made of old barn wood from the Skagit Valley. The attached sun room includes the lower hang out area, a couch and a hammock. There is no guest access into the loft above yet. The sun room is lightly insulated and colder during the winter months when there is not as much sun to heat it. Two portable heaters are provided for you to heat the sun room while you are there.
The cottage is located in a residential area on a 1 acre parcel overlooking an empty lot with a peekaboo view of the Puget Sound. The Upper Left Landing is a 10 minute drive (3.5 mi) from the Kingston ferry terminal. Take the car/bike/passenger ferry sailing from Edmonds, or, walk/bike over on the passenger-only fast ferry directly from downtown Seattle (currently operating Monday through Friday only during the off-season). The town of Kingston is lively in the Summer months, hosting the gateway from the Olympic and Kitsap Peninsula to the Seattle metro. Stop by the Saturday Farmers Market (May-Oct), try Mora Iced Creamery's famous blackberry ice cream (available only on this side of the Puget Sound). Stop by CBs Nuts - our own local producer of barrel roasted peanuts and peanut butter. Grab a beer or Kombucha at Downpour, our local family owned craft microbrew taproom. Visit Bloedel Reserve, one of America's 10 best Botanical Gardens, a 20 minute drive to nearby Bainbridge Island. Stop by a tasting room at a vineyard on the Island or see what's new at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art. A 15 minute drive, is home of the picturesque national historic landmark, Port Gamble - Washington's oldest company owned town located on the shores of the scenic Hood Canal. Visit one of many lavender farms located an hour drive in Sequim WA. Drive an additional 30 minutes to Olympic National Park's gateway including nearby Lake Crescent and Hurricane Ridge. The cottage is located near the end of a dirt road - we ask all guests to abide by the 10 mph speed limit to mitigate dust and ensure the safety of our neighbors.
  • Ah!!! This place is an absolute gem. Decorated as if you we were scrolling through an “interior design” Instagram page. The sun room is stunning with the perfect vibes! Living space and bathroom is very clean. A lot of cute dishes to use and comfy bed. 10/10 would stay here on Kingston. Love love love!

    Britney2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot for a weekend of relaxation!! Tons of natural light coming into the house and lots of birds for some killer bird watching. The rocking chairs on the front port were the best. Rhonda had all the tools for the perfect cup of coffee (grinder, pour over system, kettle). Not too far from town and a really nice neighborhood to walk around and explore

  • Absolutely amazing place. The cottage is very comfortable and well laid out, from the comfy bed to the kitchen setup. The sun room is such an amazing addition to the stay, had breakfast and coffee out there every morning and relaxing in the hammock was a dream. We both wish we could have stayed longer before returning to Seattle. We are already talking about when we will be back. Just book it, you wont regret it.

Scenic waterfront property on Port Gamble Bay that includes oysters and clams! 750 sq feet one bedroom apartment above a garage. You will have access to the waterfront as well as use of two kayaks or you can bring your own. Bring your Mt. bikes or go for a hike in the nearby Port Gamble Trails. Quiet and surrounded by forest. Nearby restaurants, sandy beaches, Hood Canal, Olympic National Park. Called Boysenberry Beach due to all the boysenberry bushes on the property.
Guests have use of the apartment and the waterfront. The waterfront includes the beach as well as a fire pit and benches just up on the waterfront. There are two kayaks for use, but free to bring you own kayaks or paddle boards for use in the bay. Boating and the waterfront is at your own risk. The apartment is a one bedroom, large living room, bathroom, and full kitchen. The kitchen has a stove, oven, full-sized fridge, microwave, and plenty of cookware to cook a meal. The apartment is situated over a garage, so there is an one full story set of stairs up to the apartment, so not wheelchair acessible.
Surrounding area is heavily wooded, siting on Port Gamble Bay. This saltwater bay warms up in the summer for swimming. Although the water is cool the rest of the year, guest still enjoy kayaking, paddle boarding, and walking the beach. At low tide, oysters are abundant and available for personal-use harvest, but all shells need to be returned to the beach after harvest. Check the WA State Dept. of Health Shellfish website for any harvest restrictions.
  • Very clean and roomy lodging . Private with a nice view of Gamble Bay. Can walk down to the water on the property. Perfect for a single or couple. Living room has a bunk bed . Large bed in bedroom is comfortable. Peace and quiet a short 5-10 minute drive from ferry. Great base to explore the Kitsap Peninsula from. Easy check in and Caroline was a fine host. It is as described and I recommend.

  • Such a wonderful stay! The small touches, homemade goodies, and wonderful hospitality made this weekend fantastic. Thanks again for hosting us!

  • When we first saw the cottage among the cedars on Airbnb we were immediately attracted to it and booked it for a long weekend / birthday getaway celebration. So glad we did! It was a perfect, thoroughly delightful stay. The cottage is situated so well among the cedars you see them wherever you look; and the cottage itself is truly elegant with beautiful natural light, and smart nice touches here, there, and everywhere! Their family history really shines through. And all the delicious homemade treats were delightful and appreciated. Such beautiful grounds and gardens to enjoy from within the cottage and while cooling off from the sauna, which, since we visited in January was a very special treat. Bonus: there is a lot of good information to help newbies like us enjoy it in the traditional Finnish manner. It was a fun experience. Nancy and Duane are such warm, gracious and welcoming hosts. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay and are so thankful to them for sharing this. We hope to be back!

    Alyssa2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • What a place! Nancy and Duane are such warm and welcoming hosts and this little cabin is a relaxing slice of solitude. Their whole property is so beautiful and serene. The cabin is very well outfitted with all sorts of thoughtful touches and the bread/cookies/breakfast items are really above and beyond. It was super clean. I loved the sauna and used it all three days - such a nice little bonus. It was the perfect place to ring in the New Year - thanks Nancy and Duane for such a perfect stay!

    Emma2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Duane and Nancy's place it's beautiful and the perfect weekend getaway from Seattle. Duane and Nancy were very thoughtful and enquired about what we'd like to eat before we even got there. We had freshly baked bread and cookies and fresh blueberry jam when we got there. They greeted us when we got there and told us a few things worth doing around the area. Nancy also showed us some of the art she picked up in India. The cottage itself is gorgeous with beautiful wood finishings and very tastefully decorated. It is well lit had everything for a comfortable stay. There's some light road noise that really didn't bother us too much. We really enjoyed the detached sauna and took contrast showers everyday we stayed there. It's close enough to visit many places in Bainbridge and one place we'd easily recommend is the Bloedel reserve. We had a great stay there and we would like to thank Duane and Nancy for their hospitality.

    Abhiram2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is a cozy retreat under the big cedars on a cloudy day in the Pacific Northwest (we were there in the winter) and it would be delightful to sit outside on the patio on a sunny day to enjoy the lovely garden. The sauna is an added treat! Duane and Nancy are wonderful hosts and thoughtful, among other things providing homemade breads and jams for breakfast, and home-baked cookies. The cottage and sauna are impeccably clean. It's a good location for further exploring the area. We will definitely stay here again next time we come to Indianola!

    Mary2019-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful sanctuary in the woods. We will for sure be returning guests!!!

    Kathleen2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy and Duane were so kind and welcoming, making our visit feel so personal. The garden was refreshing to walk through to the cottage, and the cottage itself was so cozy and well stocked with toiletries. The sauna was a wonderful addition that really was the cherry on top of the whole stay!

Beautiful custom home located in Kingston that accentuates the panoramic view of the Puget Sound from each room!

~ 6 miles from the Kingston/Edmonds Ferry Terminal. ~ Beach access is only a 10 minute walk away. ~ Playground only 5 minute walk away. ~ Located on a dead-end street, so local traffic only ~ There are no fences in the backyards of this neighborhood, our neighbors (and their dogs) are very friendly and will say hello when they see you.
  • This place had amazing views! We had a very relaxing time and the house is very comfortable to cozy up with the family and watch a movie at night. The location is easy to find. Nice short walk to the water. The kids did a lot of birds watching. We’re going to miss hearing the birds in the morning! Justin and Lauren we’re great hosts!

  • Love this space! Great weekend get away!

    Aimee2020-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • The house was beyond our wildest dreams. So many thoughtful touches from the hosts - we had everything we needed (and then some).

    Rae2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Our family gathered here for my son's wedding and activities surrounding the wedding. At first we thought it was a bit farther out than we thought, but it is actually very handy to many locations. This house is amazing! There are views of the Sound from every room! Very cool design! I loved the "nook" by the master bedroom and also the loft with the hammock chair. Fun place to have morning coffee! There was plenty of space for all of us, the amenities were great; nice brands of shampoo and hand lotions, extra toothpaste/brushes if you needed as well as contact lens supplies. There are coffee beans and a grinder so we had wonderful fresh coffee every morning. Plenty of cooking utensils, huge refrigerator (we ate lots of meals here) and pantry. The living room couch was so comfortable and great place to gather. The BEDS!! Oh! They were SO comfortable!! We all enjoyed the hot tub at various times, the showers in the bathrooms were great and there were ample towels on hand. There are binoculars to use which were really handy identifying boats and there is an eagle family nearby as we saw them fishing every morning. They fly low just beyond the edge of the cliff/bank, at eye level. It was awesome! Any questions we had were answered very quickly by Justin and Lauren; they were great hosts! We hope to stay here again when we return to the area!

    Cynthia2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Fun house with outstanding views and every detail thought out. It was a great place to spend Christmas!

    Jeanne2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • We would highly recommend the peaceful, large "Seabattical Escape" in Kingston for couples or groups up to 8! The incredible views, the impeccable cleanliness, the abundance of towels / toiletries / super-soft blankets / kitchen tools / other necessities, the stylish comfort, and the extra special touches made us feel welcome and relaxed. What a perfect place to go for healing and rejuvenating! You will like the body-hugging hammock chair in the sun/view room that is up the ladder and on the 3rd level! From up there, from the huge kitchen, and from the big comfy living room sectional couch, you would enjoy watching so many birds and boats pass by. You will also enjoy the master bedroom's walk-in closet with lots of hangers and racks! Bring your own favorite foods and sauces! Lots of fridge and freezer space as well as a large pantry of shelves and some basics (e.g. salt, pepper, cooking oil, plastic wrap, foil, wax paper)! If we weren't cooking, we were out enjoying delicious meals and attentive service at the family-friendly Kingston Ale House. The Albertson's and marketplace grocery store are within 12 to 15 minutes. In this house, you feel worlds away from the hustle and bustle of city life. But if you want to visit the city/enjoy some nightlife, you can hop on the nearby ferry to Seattle ( a 40-minute trip ) then come back and relax again! :-)

    Patrick2019-12-10T00:00:00Z

  • Indianola sits somewhat away from more populated areas for the island and has an awesome waterfront view of Puget Sound facing south (observing Mt. Rainier on clear days). A vacation here grants you a soulful escape in the lush part of the state, a country store that has good food, a pier to walk out into the water beyond the shore, and a very lovely Airbnb home from Kathleen. Stylish and comfortable.

  • We had a great time at Kathleen’s place. Kathleen is the most thoughtful, gracious host. We appreciate you for sharing your wonderful Christmassy home with us! Everything was as perfect as it seemed online. The beds are comfortable, bathrooms are excellent. Location is also incredible. Indianola is a charming and family-friendly small town. Most importantly, it’s a place you can get away from the busy city life and immerse yourself in the feelings of peacefulness. We would rate this place as one of the nicest, and real value of all the places we have stayed in. Totally recommend it! Thanks for making our Christmas such a jolly one. We will be back!

Beautiful home, with an amazing family room and outdoor covered patio area with heating and seating. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner. Sean and his wife were very helpful with tips for activities in the area!

  • My husband and I appreciated Sean and Brenda's warm hospitality and beautiful location on the water with views of Seattle and Miller Bay out the window. Along with times of pleasant conversation together, Sean and Brenda provided time for us to privately enjoy their living room with a warm cozy fire and a cup of tea from their well-stocked supply of choices. We would love to come back to experience their home in the summertime!

  • Thank you Sean for the hospitality and the professionalism. I enjoy my stay so much. Was looking for a quick gateway after a long month of work. And I found a little paradise at Sean’s retreat. He was there to great us and show us the place. The view is worth everything. Waking up this beautiful water view and sunrise got me relaxed. We had a really nice experience, too bad I could not stay longer. I intend to book another stay as soon as my schedule permits. I felt safe and comfortable during my stay. I would highly recommend this retreat to anyone who needs a nice getaway from the city. Thank you again Sean!

  • What a treasure this home and hosts are! We usually only book private homes, but glad we took a chance on this private room. We felt right at home and never awkward being in the living spaces. We even enjoyed a lovely chat over coffee with Sean in the morning. Thanks for a great stay!

    Nicole2019-11-02T00:00:00Z

  • Sean and Brenda are great hosts with a very beautiful home. Their home is a perfect place for a getaway from daily hustles and bustles. The living room and kitchen has a great view of Miller bay, and meticulously decorated with a theme. The bedroom had a comfortable bed and carpeted walls. Yes, carped walls but very clean. We will definitely return at any time of the year.

  • This was a lovely place to stay. Tucked on the bend along Agate's Pass with an amazing panoramic view of nature, this warm and welcoming cabin provides a homey getaway. From the house and beach, we were able to see pods of harbor porpoises swimming through the channel, families of seals playing and floating by, a friendly couple of otters, as well as an ever-changing vista that looked like a painting. Jan is a friendly and responsive host who was thoughtful in her interactions and hospitality. The house was very clean and well maintained with nice touches that made us feel welcome. Breakfast foods and a few late night snacks with a bottle of wine simply added to the experience and was representative of Jan's thoughtfulness. It was difficult to leave! As I said, this place was simply lovely. Enjoy!

    Cynthia2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This beach house made for the perfect girls weekend getaway. The water just a few steps away, all of the little touches from Jan... I couldn’t be happier with this stay.

    Katie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazing time unwinding here for the weekend with some friends! Jan is an amazing host and you will undoubtedly enjoy your time here at this beautiful property. She hosted us on a late day request and the house was immaculate and extremely welcoming! I will be back again:)

  • We absolutely loved staying at Jan’s home! This is a very special place. It was cozy, clean and had everything we needed for our winter vacation. The view from the house is beautiful, especially during the sunrise and sunset. The books, games and toys for the three small children we had with us made the trip so fun for them when they weren’t playing on the beach. Jan was the best host, we will be back!

Enjoy your own private Guest Suite tucked at the far end of a five acre forest/garden sanctuary, 20 minutes from Bainbridge Island or charming Poulsbo, ten minutes from historic Port Gamble & the Hood Canal Bridge. Start your travels with an relaxing ferry ride over the Puget Sound from Edmonds. Peaceful forest setting, second story deck, wood-burning stove, lush, nationally renowned gardens and full privacy await you. The Olympic National Forest, Port Townsend, Port Angeles and Sequim's lovely lavender fields are only 45-60-min away. After a day of taking in nearby restaurants, antique shops, hiking & biking local trails, kayaking on the Hood Canal, or ferrying over from Edmonds (30 min) – come on "home" to your own private wooded retreat! A light-filled spacious, comfy deluxe Suite awaits you, with all the amenities you'd expect in a woodsy retreat. Your Guest Suite/Apt is completely private, fully self-contained. It is situated in a separate building some 500 feet from the main house, connected by wooded trails. You’ll have your own patio, and the use of the studio + full bathroom, situated on the second story above a separate garage outbuilding. Your hosts will be in the main house at the entrance to the property, available but completely separate from your experience. Guests are welcome to wander the grounds and enjoy the gardens, including the use of a covered, outdoor seating area. Plenty of parking on the grounds. The main sleeping area/bedroom features a plush, unique, hand-built queen bed with soft down bedding, a fold-down sofa (to use as a second bed if needed), a gas fireplace to use if you choose and a small kitchenette. You’ll have use of a microwave, toaster oven, refrigerator and coffee maker (no stovetop at this time). Step out to your deck and enjoy lush forest views. At this time the space is “electronic free”: We do not have wifi reaching the studio (perfect for the writer or artist wanting to have uninterrupted creating time), nor is the television cable-ready (though there is a blu-ray DVD player and a moderate movie library). A short walk to the outside seating area closer to the house and you may pick up the house signal (password will be provided). A wonderful, comfy Starbucks is located 1/3 mile away as well. Also, we have a good Verizon signal for those who wish to utilize a hot spot. You will find a GUEST HANDBOOK when you arrive with all the specifics you may need to know during your stay. You will also find plenty of local travel guides/maps and a THINGS TO DO binder with recommendations for the immediate area and larger region. We’ll have contact information for you in case you need us at any time. You'll enjoy little Poulsbo, a Scandinavian fishing village in the late 1800's and today is known as "Little Norway." Poulsbo's historic district features lots of yummy restaurants (don't miss Sluys Danish bakery or the organic ice cream treats at Mora) shops, antique stores and galleries. Just over Agate Pass Bridge you'll find the popular destination of Bainbridge Island (20 min). Shop and eat there, or tour the local galleries and fabulous new art museum. Kid's museum too! Or let the Bainbridge Ferry whisk you across the Puget Sound to downtown Seattle (25 min) and wander through Pike Place Market, historic Pioneer Square, the museums and more. For the outdoors-inclined - there are countless nature walks, hiking trails, creeks, beaches and waterways to enjoy in the region on Puget Sound and Hood Canal - a favorite for kayakers. Gig Harbor, Bremerton, Port Gamble are also favorite local destinations. The region is expansive - and you will definitely need your own car. Please anticipate approximately 60-90 min of travel time from Seattle Airport, including a 20-min drive from airport to ferry, 35-min ferry ride via either the downtown Seattle-Bainbridge route, or Edmonds Ferry to Kingston and then 10-min to the house. *Note travel time during "rush hour" may be longer. You can also take the slightly longer land route, heading south from the airport, forking left from Interstate Hwy 5 near Tacoma, heading north on Hwy 16 to the Kitsap Peninsula (1.5 hours). I can provide more specific driving/ferry directions. GPS is very helpful, though the turnoff to our drive can be easy to miss. Just a few things... ~ We appreciate knowing in advance your approximate arrival time. ~ As mentioned, there is a sink/microwave/toaster oven/refrigerator/coffee maker etc, perfect for snacks, etc - but please do note there is not a full kitchen. Plenty of great local restaurants and nearby take-out for your major meals! ~ Traveling via car by ferry? Do allow yourself enough time to catch your selected ferry. Line up in the "cue" at least 45 min to 1/2 hour BEFORE departure time. Check the Washington State Ferry website the day before or day of travel to be sure about departure/arrival times. Thank you!
We are on a small private road with houses on acreage.
  • Great place, beautiful gardens, attentive host! Thanks Shayne!

  • The space was cosy and had everything we needed; plenty of towels, coffee and a hairdryer. The hosts were super responsive and great with communication. Check in and out was a breeze. The property is beautiful and a good location for exploring all over the area. Lots of dog friendly bars! Highly recommend.

  • This Airbnb is a lovely little loft with everything you’d need for a little private getaway. It was warm, cozy, and peaceful. The property it’s located on is an extra perk, as there are gardens you can stroll about - even in winter it was beautiful and full of life. They also have a pavilion where you can sit outside without getting rained on! Lovely place overall with easy access to the Kitsap Peninsula’s many adorable towns. Shayne and Warren were amazing hosts. They even went above and beyond by inviting me over to dinner and a movie with their friends. The food was delicious and the company was even better. I cannot wait to stay at their place again!

    Riley2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Shayne's place was wonderful! The space was very comfortable and the location was absolutely perfect. We loved being surrounded by the gorgeous old growth pines and yet still close to town and the ferry. Shayne was very hospitable and offered his assistance when there was a potential that we would get snowed in. Additionally, it was awesome that they had a back-up generator when the power went out due to the weather. 10/10 would stay again!

    Miranda2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a nice well-appointed place with a contentious host, just as advertised. Very restful and quiet.

  • Fantastic, tucked away location perfect for adventures on the Kitsap Peninsula and beyond. The apartment is very cozy and great for long winter nights. The surrounding property is lovely and the porch would be a great place to sit during the warmer months. We will absolutely plan to return for future trips to this area.

In 1916, it was a summer/weekend community only reached by steamboat. Today, it is a small, friendly rural village known as a haven for artists. Jutting hundreds of feet out into the water, the dock is considered one of the best places in the area to watch the stars or any major celestial event. No moorage, but you can pull up your kayak or canoe.

  • Martha's space was well-stocked with anything you might need during your stay! The hosts were very friendly, and she was quick to respond to any questions I had. They were very welcoming to our dog, who really enjoyed roaming the property and playing with Bones. One of the highlights was the beach access trail right behind their house that they graciously let us use!

Bring your bicycles for a day of riding through the trails in Port Gamble.
On site parking, lockbox for easy access, queen bed in main room, one single bed and one bunk bed in second bedroom (note the bunkbed is loft height). • You can find the best of the Olympic peninsula at Glen and Bev's.

    Christopher2020-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I stayed at Glen and Bev's place so we can get out of the house and somewhere peaceful for the weekend. We got lucky with some sun breaks so we were able to enjoy the beach area during our visit. When the tide was out we gathered our own clams and oysters for dinner. I'd recommend bringing some grocery items to cook them with though (butter, garlic, lemon etc.). Just remember, it's a mini fridge so don't bring too much unless you have a cooler. The kitchen was stocked with all the pots, pans, and dishes we needed to cook for the family (even with the tiny stove top/convection oven). The guesthouse is cozy and slept the 4 of us comfortably. It totally felt like we were staying at grandma's guest house! The water honestly didn't bother us much, we just brought our own bottled water to drink. Such a good value honestly...hard to find a place with water access at that price point! Would be great to visit during the summer to enjoy the water a bit more with our paddle boards!

    Joe2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • A quiet place, that fits a family well! In a great location and a lovely time at the water! Bev communicated quickly and was so very thoughtful with every interaction! There is a kitchenette and a full size bathroom! The water is well water so there is a slight mineral smell to it, but that is just par for the course with well water out here! Enjoy your stay!!

    Peggy2019-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great little cottage in rural Washington. The beds are comfortable and there is enough space to fit five. We visited Olympic national park both days we were there, but Seattle is close if you prefer the city, while still giving you the country home feel. Everything is five stars. The only downside was that the water smells slightly like eggs because it is well-water, so if you’re sensitive take note. But it was nothing bad. Would highly recommend.

    Olivia2019-12-01T00:00:00Z

This historic cabin is located right on the beach, just a few feet from the high tide mark. It's the only cabin immediately on the beach for miles either direction; all other houses are above at street level. Just 90 minutes from downtown Seattle via the Seattle / Bainbridge Island ferry.
This historic cabin is located right on the beach, just a few feet from the high tide mark. It's the only cabin immediately on the beach for miles either direction; all other houses are above at street level. The area is rich in Dungeness and Red Rock Crab (during open crab season). During the late Summer & Fall, salmon may be caught fishing right from shore. Or, just enjoy storm watching from the covered porch, with the wood burning nearby stove inside. Views of Mt Rainier, Puget Sound, the shipping lanes and North Seattle. Just 90 minutes from downtown Seattle via the Seattle / Bainbridge Island ferry. Also within 15-30 minutes of Kingston, Poulsbo and the Suquamish Clearwater Casino and the Point Hotel and Casino. This property is unique because it's the only cabin literally on the beach for miles either direction. The Puget Sound is immediately beyond the lawn covered bulkhead and covered porch. You may enjoy beach fires at night, with the Puget Sound on one side of you and the covered porch on the other. IMPORTANT NOTICE: The cabin is accessible from the street above via a private beach trail. The trail starts as a gravel path and later becomes a custom boardwalk, 80 feet long and 5 feet wide. While this provides a unique secluded experience right on the beach, the walk to the beach may be challenging for senior citizens or physically impaired individuals, or those with mobility challenges. Be sure to find the Blue Heron House on Instagram (@theblueheronhouse) and Facebook! A live web cam of the beach is available online; search for Indianola Web Cam. (Blue Heron House is on the far beach, on the far right; the lights are visible at night.)
  • A wonderful place to stay! I love being so close to the water.

    Jared2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is really beautiful, modern, yet rustic, restful and private. My friends and I stayed there and recorded music all day. All the wood in the cabin made for great acoustics and the living room was a perfect place for us to spread out and get creative. Being so close to the water is just so incredible, very thought provoking and calming. The perfect place to get creative, write a novel, make an album or just spend quality, rejuvenating time by yourself or with family and friends. Joseph was also very accommodating with all the questions I asked him and was very quick to respond. Highly recommend this place!

  • The cabin was spectacular. You can’t beat the view or ambiance. I took so many beautiful pictures. It was clean and well-kept. There were so many nice touches: tea and coffee, snacks, wood and starter logs for the fireplace, extra blankets and towels. It is also one of the most dog friendly places we have found. We all loved it. We are only sad we couldn’t stay longer. If you want a beautiful place right on the water for a relaxing stay (but places to go and things to do all around), this is it!

    Alison2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great small cabin right on the water. So close to the city but still such an escape. You can see the city over the hill across the water. It helps to make a fire to heat the place up, but there are a few space heaters working. Communication was easy and getting in a breeze. There is a fairly steep walk down a well lit and wooded path to the cabin.

    Brian2019-12-27T00:00:00Z

  • I’ve been a Superhost myself for over 2 years, and I left Sandi’s place with plenty of areas to improve on for my own listings! Sandi’s cottage was beyond adorable and super clean. Excellent location, with plenty of thoughtful touches. Thank you Sandi for an incredible place to stay while we explored the Kitsap Peninsula 🥰

  • We absolutely loved staying at the Beach Suite on Lemolo. It was sparkling clean and comfortable. The location was perfect, minutes away from Poulsbo and Bainbridge Island. If you are seeking a quiet stay in an exceptional setting this is the place.

  • This is the second time we have rented this property from Joyce. We live in the city and need to escape the hustle and bustle from time to time. Joyce has always been a gracious and accommodating host. The location (even though only being a few miles from where we live in Seattle) is perfection. Listening to the wave crash on the shore while you watch bald eagles hunt is so peaceful and relaxing. The house has everything you need and more. Plenty of room (there were 5 of us) so we were more than comfortable. This property is very clean and adorably decorated. We highly recommend this property if you are looking for a relaxing getaway. Thank you Joyce for being an amazing host and sharing this beautiful forest/beach gem with the rest of us!!!!

    Jerede2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is perfect place to go to relax and get away from it all. It was so peaceful. The deck and view are stunning, couches and beds are comfy, kitchens is more than fully equipped, bathrooms are clean and beautiful. Also there is a great hot tub where you can look up into the trees or out into the ocean. Perhaps most important, is the way that Joyce has really thought about the experience of her guests, all the little and big details in the home that make you feel cared for, which made it a very enjoyable stay.

    Sue2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Joyce is an outstanding host and her water view home was everything we hoped it would be. The home is tastefully and artistically decorated, and the kitchen and baths were fully stocked with everything we needed for our 2 and a half month stay. Joyce is a warm and caring host and we enjoyed interacting with her. She even watched our pup while we were out house hunting! We saw orcas, eagles, hummingbirds, and seals from the deck, and we loved watching the cruise ships and barges go by. WiFi, board games, and a big TV kept us contented in our down time as well.

    Deja2018-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful home that Joyce took extra steps to make feel cozy. Would highly recommend for any kind of getaway trip to the Olympic peninsula!

    David2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place is worth the trip up the coast to this beautiful home with a superb view of the water back to Edmonds. Watch the cruise boats, big navy ships, fishing boats dropping crab pots and sail boats go by. See the lights in Edmonds at night and even the fireworks on July 4th. There is a great deck with new furniture and a barbecue! All one could ask for. Also the hot tub is perfect for relaxing under the trees. Comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms and a huge kitchen with everything really makes this place very special. Also great new couch in living room with a full view of the water making into a great bed with new technology of a plug in queen size air mattress inside There are fun places to visit but think of this special place as a very RESTORATIVE RETREAT TOO.

    Ann2018-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a true gem. It’s so quiet and relaxing, with a wonderful view all the way across the water to Edmonds. The deck is gorgeous and we enjoyed coffee and wine in the deck while watching the ferry, barges and boats pass by. Most of the time, all we could hear was the birds and waves. Joyce was a wonderful host, thoughtful and helpful and willing to give us all the space that we needed but also great for sharing local tips. There’s a lovely, small public beach 1.5 miles away. We enjoyed being her first guests and I’d recommend this home.

Get away from your busy life and retreat to the beach life. No internet and spotty cell service. Talk with each other, read a book and simply be at peace with nature. You are a 5 minute walk to Point no Point beach located in Hansville, WA. This one bedroom rental has an indoor and outdoor fireplace, full kitchen, laundry room and a king size bed. Originally, a garage built in 1968, Neil Thompson designed and rebuilt this into Hanville Haven and takes pride in his garden and strawberries.
We are a work in progress and are passionate about the history of the land that this home resides on. Brand new hardwood flooring in the bedroom and king bed build by Neil Thompson and daughter Julia, who was born in the home adjacent to this home 36 years ago. Hardwood flooring throughout the house was the dancefloor from Julia's wedding 14 years ago.
  • Cute little getaway. Definitely would recommend to others and will be coming back!

    Jessica2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • The house is immaculate. The floor plan was very thoughtfully done. Big front yard. Fire pit. Big BBQ. Outdoor furniture. Comfy king bed. Kitchen well stocked with all the necessities. Situated at the end of a short culdesac. Very quiet. I highly recommend this little slice of "Haven".

  • Very clean, cozy and comfortable guesthouse on quiet property. Carol was quick to reply to communications and very accommodating. Many thoughtful touches (extra blankets and pillows, shampoo and other toiletries, fresh fruit). Our kids loved the chalkboard-painted kitchen table. We would stay here again.

    Eric2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Carol and Ed are great hosts and make you feel like a family friend. I wish we could have stayed there longer.

    Becky2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Totally cute and quiet place. We were looking for a place to get out of the bustle of the city for a couple days and this was perfect. Super thoughtful little touches that meant a lot -- two examples: First, toilet paper matters! They had the softest nicest charmin toilet paper, not that sandpaper stuff you find in places trying to save a few bucks; Second, a nice fruit bowl which contained a monster sized peach that you can tell was hand selected on the day of check in. It was perfectly ripe and the best peach I've had in years. Many small and thoughtful touches like this added up to making me feel like our host went the extra mile to truly make sure we felt welcome.

    Jon2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • By far the best AIRBNB I’ve stayed at. Worth every penny. Such a wonderful place! And they were very hospitable and sweet. Book it right now!:)

    Leslie2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my stay! The location is central to Kingston and yet has a farm-retreat feel. Everything was clean and new and well laid out, and for a good price. Best hospitality ever!

    Jason2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What an amazing weekend we had staying in Kingston for the first time. This was a last minute trip for us - we relied on Carol and Ed for suggestions on what to do and see. They did not disappoint!! The guest house is such a darling space. They have literally anything you might need to feel at home - you could prepare a full-on meal in the kitchen, cuddle up for a movie, sit outside and see deer in the yard, go on a walk with the lantern they provide...the list goes on. We had so much fun exploring Kingston, Poulsbo, Bremerton and Port Gamble. We will definitely be back, and hopefully stay with Carol and Ed again (if they have any availability after they inevitably become a popular spot to stay!).

The place is close to the heart of the Greenwood neighborhood with a number of breweries and bars, grocery stores, and cafes all within walking distance. Located near 8th Ave NW, it's a straight shot to into Fremont and Ballard, 10 minutes by car and 20 minutes by bicycle. Bus line 28 goes directly downtown and stops less than a block away; it takes about 30 minutes to get downtown by bus.
The basement mother-in-law studio is clean with wood floors. There is a small, simply outfitted kitchen with a fridge, freezer, stove, oven, and toaster. There is no dishwasher so dishes must be washed by hand. The large closet easily accommodates hung clothing and a dresser to unpack into. The house, above on the first floor, is lived in by the host. The studio access is through the backdoor into a shared laundry room and storage space in the basement. The entry way into the studio itself is a separate door and key, and check-in is available 24 hours. This house is in the Greenwood neighborhood, located with access to other sights in Seattle: Pike Place Market: 6.7 miles Space Needle: 6.4 miles Capitol Hill: 6.7 miles Golden Gardens: 1.8 miles Greenlake Park: 2 miles Carkeek Park: 2 miles Fremont: 3.2 miles University of Washington: 4.3 miles Washington State Convention Center: 7.2 miles Ballard: 2.5 miles You'll have access to the laundry machine and dryer 24/7. Wifi is accessible everywhere, including the back yard. There is a briquette charcoal BBQ available for use in the summer. Feel free to make use of the backyard and front yard patio. Chairs, tables, and the BBQ may be stowed away seasonally but are always available upon request. Your apartment is equipped with coffee and various teas. I enjoy sharing knowledge of Greenwood and Seattle. Don't hesitate to ask Tyler or Kristin about the area because we hope to make your stay memorable and unique. If you have down time, we can be found at local watering holes or events (or just chilling on our porch), don't hesitate to see what's up!
The place is close to the heart of the Greenwood neighborhood with bars, restaurants, and every day amenities such as grocery stores and a post office within walking distance. The beer connoisseur would find this neighborhood especially fun because of Naked City Brewery, Chuck's Hop Shop, Flying Bicycle Co-op Brewery, Lantern Brewing, and many other in neighboring Ballard. Located near 8th Ave NW, it's a straight shot to into Fremont and Ballard, 10 minutes by car and 20 minutes by bicycle. There are many great parks within 2 miles, including urban lakes and saltwater shorelines. Although we don't allow smoking in the apartment, you are welcome to smoke outside as long as debris and butts are cleaned up. We are 2 blocks from Have a Heart pot shop.
  • Tyler's place was great. I would recommend it for others while visiting Seattle.

    Morgan2020-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • This space is ideal for one person, perhaps good for two, but is on the small size. Also, since it is in the basement of the building, you have to get used to low ceilings. I am six feet tall and could not stand fully upright in the shower.

    Stuart2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • I felt right at home in this little studio. Cozy and private with a nice little kitchen space and comfortable bed. The only negative I would note is that noise does come through the ceiling from upstairs at times, also be sure and read the details about the ceiling heights-I am only 5'5" so it was fine for me but the shower/bathroom ceiling especially is very low! Beware if you are tall or claustrophobic. Personally I love this neighborhood and the space worked very well for me, I would stay here again for sure!

    Zakiah2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Tyler was a wonderful host! We did not see him much but he actively messaged back when we needed help or clarification with anything. Can't beat the price for what you get either. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to travel on a budget while still feeling right at home!

    Kelli2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a really great time here, the kitchen was definitely really nice to have. Really nice location, just a couple blocks from Fred Meyer and a couple buses from everywhere we wanted to go during our stay. Great host, communicative and informative but still gave us plenty of space and privacy.

    Ciara2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute and spacious home! Very private.

    Alejandra2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Really great spot! I stayed for a month and I had everything I needed. Very close to bus stops and grocery store, Tyler is very helpful and I had complete privacy. One can hear occasional sounds from upstairs but it isn’t really a problem.

    Isobel2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Very quaint and cozy! This den is located in close proximity to all of the best spots in Seattle. There’s so much to do in Fremont as well as the downtown area and everything is 25 mins at most! During my stay we only had a few days of sunlight to really appreciate the locale but I can just imagine how beautiful this neighborhood is on a nice day in Spring. The hose was very responsive and accommodating to any needs and we always felt safe and at home during our stay here. The kitchenette space was perfect for late nights to cook a good dinner or snack after a hard day spent out in the rain and we were always warm in this spot. I would stay here again in a heartbeat just because of how much value is in this space’s location, amenities and hospitality. Thanks again!!!

Clean, light-filled cottage on a quiet, private, no-bank sandy beach. The cottage, which is about 1300 square feet, has three bedrooms plus a sleeper couch in the living area, and one bathroom. Relax, explore the beach and sandy tideflats, enjoy a fabulous view of the Cascades, roast marshmallows over a campfire, and spot wildlife including harbor seals, otters, and bald eagles. This is a magical place for kids to play and explore!
The cottage is in a quiet, secluded area between Kingston and Hansville, on the Kitsap Peninsula. Other than a handful of neighbors, you won't see many other people on the beach. Two miles of uninhabited, publicly accessible beach stretch north from our property to historic Point-No-Point lighthouse. In the 1920s and 30s, the property was a summer camp for girls called Camp Cohoe. The cottage, which has since been expanded and renovated, was one of the original camp buildings.
  • Great location and the house was clean and cute.

  • Beautiful place right at the water in a very quiet and secluded spot. Very spacious too. We enjoyed our time there very much!

  • We went for the weekend to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday. Mom and 5 teenage girls. Lol. We had quite the adventure with the power going out twice due to the weather. But Brian was extremely attentive in making sure we were all ok. The weather cleared the morning we left so we were able to finally get some beautiful pictures. We'll have to come back this summer to actually enjoy the beach!

    Catherine2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I stayed for a holiday weekend with our one-year-old. We needed a place that would accommodate a busy little baby, and someplace we could all relax together. The cottage was perfect for all of that. It is literally right on the beach, and on the first afternoon, we saw jumping seals, a family of eight sea otters, and a lot of different bird species. You can’t beat the views from the living room (with a warm gas fireplace) and there was plenty of space for our holiday dinner. The only thing to note is that the bedroom doors have windows and are only blocked by a thin sheet , so if you need more privacy it might not be the space for you. But if you want a relaxing weekend with amazing views of Puget sound this is a perfect, cozy spot!

    Tanith2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved the house, right on the ocean, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, amazing views. During low tide we walked along the beach looking for sea glass, which we found, and not only saw bald eagles, blue herons, but WHALES!!

  • I needed to book quickly and I didn’t have time to be picky. If I had, I guarantee that I would have chosen to stay at Lindsay’s. Lindsay and her family were warm, friendly, and left me a lovely welcome note and treat upon arrival. Classy! This rental has a spectacular view of the ocean. It is phenomenally located next to the beach, shops and adorable downtown Edmonds. I had to stay in mostly (during coronavirus isolation), so I was thrilled with the tv and media options, as well as kitchen amenities. Comfortable bed, carefully decorated, stylish and clean. I’m rebooking!

  • Perfect location. Clean, private, cozy. A very quiet and beautiful neighbourhood. Everything we needed. Comfy bed and pull out couch. TV (with amazon prime). Coffee machine. Mini fridge. Full and private bathroom. Everything we needed.

  • Our stay was great! It was cozy, private, and very easy to find. Craig And McKenzie went above and beyond by helping us to get our mobile phone back that we accidentally left behind. Wonderful place to stay, with wonderful hosts!

  • Such a cute comfy space! It’s small with two rooms but a good size for 2 people. Bed was very comfy. It was pretty cold at first but the space heater provided really did the trick. They also provided lots of comfy blankets. Best part was the cute decorations and the snacks, coffee, water bottles, and wine (w/ handwritten note for my birthday). There is a door to the main house but it is locked and was always dark on the other side so there was no lock of privacy. We would definitely stay here again!

Walking distance to Downtown Edmonds. Private, separate entry daylight basement with queen bed, full bath, coffee, microwave and mini-refrigerator. Television and full cable TV. Secure, quiet and very clean. I wash all bedding, towels, dishes, and sanitize all surfaces that are likely to be touched between guests.
Edmonds is a charming community 15 miles north of downtown Seattle on Puget Sound
  • Beth and her home we’re both amazing. Very clean and in a great neighborhood. The view was amazing rom her back yard. We will definitely be back. Less than 20 mins from down town Seattle.

  • Beth’s place provided a great launch landing pad for my weekend in Edmonds. I was attending a training and her location was minutes away from downtown and my training locale. It was easy to find and her communication was much appreciated. I really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and felt right at home.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Beth's place. The spot was clean and the area was quiet. Beth was quick to respond to all of our questions and the check in/out process was a breeze. Would definitely recommend for anyone passing through Edmonds or looking to stay close to Seattle but not break the bank.
