Places to stay in Laupahoehoe
***** I highly recommend***** TURO Car ,SUV and 4x4 rentals
Aloha Nature Lovers! Located between Waipio Valley and Volcano National Park. Great hiking! Convenient and very private swimming holes to enjoy at your door. One can spend days chasing the many private waterfalls and exploring our property. Swimming the pristine waters that fill natural pool below our many private waterfalls. Enjoy each breath of pure sweet air. The little cabin has a great ocean view to watch the ships go sailing by & clouds parade down the coast. Nights are wonderful just sitting around the campfire, star gazing and telling stories. Tent camping for the kids is safe and easy. Located 20 miles north of Hilo. Just 1 mile from the highway. Very serene with only the sounds of the flowing waterfall, breezes through the trees, and tropical birds. My three horses (Nohea , Mahina and Shy Girl) will be eagerly awaiting to greet you. Aloha and Happy Trails! ***** I highly recommend ***** TURO CAR ,SUV and 4x4 rentals NOTE : Flooding may and does occur in North Hilo and on the Big Island. Please use extreme caution when near, swimming in or crossing any waterway. 4x4 or jeep is recommended for exploring back road areas on the island and to get to my place. 4x4 is required to access Waipio Valley, Green Sands Beach, and Mauna Kea. Book a cheap car then ask for a jeep up-grade when you arrive for good deals on jeeps from Budget. Aloha and be Safe! **** I highly recommend **** TURO Car , SUV and 4x4 rentals
Awesome ocean views. Papaaloa Country Store , Bar and Restaurant is just down the road . Great pizza and local style fresh food. Nightly live music almost 6 nights a week .
  • A peaceful, beautiful place! Amazing!

  • We had such a wonderful time here even though it was a short stay. Keith and his daughter Ashley we’re both great hosts nice to talk to and helpful with everything. The view is amazing, the sound of the waterfall was soothing and it just felt great to be surrounded by nature and the horses and peacocks. We also explored the river with all its waterfalls. It’s so beautiful and just a short walk from the tent. Everything is a bit rustic, so you need to be comfortable with the outdoors. The outdoor shower was our favorite of the 6 we experienced on this trip. Surrounded by tropical plants, hot water and a great view. We look forward to coming back and staying for longer next time.

  • This is a gorgeous location, the accommodations are simple & clean & we had everything we needed. It is the perfect place to enjoy fresh air and the countryside in HI. The horses, waterfalls, peacocks and chickens were beautiful. We loved it!

  • Keith and his daughter, Ashley were very kind during our stay. The tour of their grounds/property was lovely. We really enjoyed our stay here amongst the jungle, horses and waterfalls + some chickens. You definately need 4x4 to get to the property. We had a Hyundai Elantra and there was no way we could have gotten in without causing damage to the car. Thankfully, Ashley picked us up at the local restaurant due to a flash flood at the streams surrounding their property. We truely appreciated the hospitality and kindness. Ashley was calm and relaxed which put us at ease when it came to the flash flood and getting into the property.

  • Off-grid and off the beaten path. If these are things you like, you will love this place. Stars galore, frogs and the crash of a waterfall singing you to sleep every night, you really get to be a part of nature in Hawai'i . We had zero issues with bugs and the chickens were friendly neighbors!

  • Spotlessly clean we enjoyed our 2 night stay. Some of the touches are a little worn, but the overall feel is complete relaxation and fantastic value. We ate dinner in both evenings there enjoying the view from the recliners to the sea.

  • This bungalow is off-the-grid so expect to unplug and unwind! However, the house is equipped with a generator which enables you to charge small electronics and use a small amount of wifi per day. Follow the very detailed directions on how to get there; definitely recommend 4wd vehicle as there are river crossings and the hills are steep. Located just north of Hilo, the house is a one-room bungalow that is sectioned off into living and sleeping space. It was perfect for the two of us; there is a ‘balcony’ area where one can relax and watch the sunrise over the farm; there is space with a dining table and kitchen space. The kitchen has a refrigerator and a gas stove plate. The sleeping area has a bed with mosquito net to keep bugs out. We could even see the waterfall from the ‘bedroom!’ The bathroom is around the outside of the bungalow (open to air as pictured) and provides a lovely view into the surrounding forest! Numerous animals on the farm included several friendly horses; some rambunctious and noisy chickens; a flock of peafowl; little coqui frogs; and the ubiquitous island geckos! There are many fruit trees on the property and the fruit was amazing! We followed Ashley’s advice and hiked down to the waterfalls on the property— it was really beautiful, and we would definitely stay here again when visiting the Big Island!

  • Keith & Ashley’s place is truly a nature lovers paradise. I had no trouble finding it, and the roads were totally fine with my Jeep rental (as the hosts say: 4WD is highly recommended!). I spent a lot of time around the property exploring, and getting into the pools/waterfalls nearby. The water was brisk, but that’s to be expected this time of year, and I prefer cold water swimming anyway. The horses are friendly, and the chickens were hungry for crumbs! It was very clean, and the bed was comfy. I was a woman traveling alone, and it was perfect from beginning to end. Aloha!

    Pāpa‘aloa, HI, United States

Tranquil, private, setting amid stately Ohia trees with partial ocean views. The custom studio is 500sf with a limited height loft and large gorgeous bathroom and deck. Off grid with installed hi speed WiFi & cell booster.
The Studio is newly remodeled with a handsome central Ohia post and Silver Oak trim throughout. All the trim wood came from the property. The main sleeping space is a 10' X 10' loft space with sloping limited height ceiling. Downstair we have two couches, one opens into a comfortable queen size bed as need. There is a spacious, custom tiled bathroom and a covered deck to enjoy a sunny breakfast outdoors with views of the pasture, Ohia trees and the distant ocean. For entertainment we have a medium size TV and a good supply of DVD's. The sound system is bluetooth accessible for a wireless connection to the music on your phone, lap top or pad. A cell phone booster in the Studio allows connection to the outside world, as needed.
As quoted from the recently published: "My Year in A Yurt: It was this studio we stayed in. We absolutely loved the place, the lush grass-coverd rolling hills, the stately Ohia trees dotting the land, the ocean in the distance. It was so peaceful, so quiet, so healing." Yes, you are far from the urban madding crowd in a peaceful, quiet and rural location. We are surrounded by green; green grass, green trees, and green plants everywhere with wild turkeys and the occasional wild pig running madly across the pasture. Nights are clear and stars are blinding. Rain is possible but more likely are 15 knot trade winds which keep the air clear and fresh at a cool 1800' elevation. Our place is an ideal location from which to explore all parts of the Big Island. However, it is a minimum 20 minute drive to the nearest town of any size, (Honokaa town) and 45 minutes to the best gold coast white sand beaches.
  • Super peaceful spot, excellent for a retreat away from the hubbub. Plan on reading, watching movies, and sleeping well.

  • Everything for a really impressive epxerience in the nature. The house is so nice and very well equiped. Totally modern furniture and appliances make the stay very pleasant. Baki is a very nice host and you won‘t miss anything.

    Björn2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Baki & Bailey's place is remote, well equipped, & absolutely peaceful. Stars at night through the window over the bed. Breakfast each morning with smoothies we made in the provided individual Ninja blender (Baki also provided us Gluten Free Bread since my boyfriend has Celiac's ❤️). BBQ at night using the BBQ on the deck. We also loved using the provided snorkeling gear. WiFi is on & off (it is switched back on without any trouble) but honestly if you're hooked on WiFi you're not getting the point. Book this place.

    M2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a great getaway. Highly recommended! Cozy bed, a full functional kitchen, and a thoughtful host. A wonderful visit to this side of the island. We hope to return.

    Bobbi Jo2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The moment you turn up the road to Baki's cottage you enter a magical forest. Two miles up the road and you are in heaven! Clean, comfortable, and cozy, with everything you need to make coffee and meals (including yummy items left by Baki!). The setting is peaceful and the night sky is gorgeous. Beach chairs, towels, snorkeling gear, and a cooler are all on hand should you need them for a day at a glorious nearby beach. Baki met us during check-in and she was warm, hospitable, and very easy to communicate with. Highly recommended!

  • The only reason I wouldn't want to rave about staying at the Monastery is because I want us to be able to keep it as our little Hawaii secret. Having travelled the Hilo side over the years I have always marveled at the Dojo and we've visited the oceans wrath being inflicted on Lapahoehoe point. When we found we could actually stay there we jumped at the chance and stayed the bulk of the week. Not only was Ron amazing kind and gentle about guiding us in, totally present for anything we needed yet invisible to us as a host ( a host that makes insane Gelato by the way ) but we found the place as much like home as we could have imagined. Built in 1899 and lovingly restored for the last 18 years 'board by board', it was perfectly appointed, warm, period, private, and just plain perfect. As we are working on our practice, the amazing bonus was the opportunity to use the temple / dojo upstairs for daily yoga and it couldn't have been more ideal. Quiet, private, with the sounds of wind through the jungle, ocean sound, birds and coqui we were transported and can't wait to come back. Please don't read this, please stay away, we dont want it to be booked next time we come (!) thanks Ron see you soon B&V

  • We loved staying here! The mid-century tropical vibe of the space was lovely, and Ron was very thoughtful and generous with all the delicious fruit growing on the property.

    Bonnie2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay. Ron and Luann (I hope I got the spelling right!) were excellent hosts who made us feel welcome and were lovely and informative to chat with. There was a gorgeous tropical bouquet waiting for us, which was so thoughtful. The outdoor cats also helped show us around. The space is stunning and full of history with lots of interesting art and books and personal touches. The temple space upstairs was so beautiful I almost cried. We were able to go up and meditate and stretch in the morning. The whole place is very airy and lush, and you can hear a chorus of frogs and see the stars at night. There is a huge cast iron tub that is wonderful to soak in and lots of great things to do nearby. It’s a five-minute walk from an oceanside park, which is spooky and neat to go to at night. It’s too rough for swimming, but it’s beautiful to watch and listen to the waves crash on the rocks. Watch out for night pigs! We encountered one while on foot, but it bolted as soon as it saw us (thankfully). You can definitely hear footfalls if someone is upstairs during the day, but we went out and it never bothered us. There are kitchen things for your use, which we took advantage of, but it’s easier to have salads or other uncomplicated dishes given the shared stove/oven situation and the fact that you’ll probably be too tired from sightseeing to cook a three-course meal anyway. This stay was the highlight of our trip, and I already want to return!

    Emily2019-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about our stay in the converted temple was absolutely delightful! Ron was a terrific host with great suggestions for local dining and activities, and the temple itself - an unbelievable gem in a fantastic, secluded paradise! We loved the claw foot tub, amazing views from the windows, and spacious bedrooms. A bit off the beaten path - just what we wanted and so worth the short drive from Hilo. We’ll be back!

    Joan2019-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Really liked the location on the east/northeast part of the island. The restored aspect of the property gave a very neat historical outlook. Ron and Louanne are great hosts and respond quickly. Would definitely come back here.

    Steve2019-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • When we were driving down Laupahoehoe Point Road to the former Buddhist Temple, our jaws dropped when we saw the beautiful coastline. Ron really undersells this place-- and it is certainly not the Marriott-- but that is not what you are signing up for. If you want to stay in a historic home that was built in the 1800s that you can see depicted in historic photos pre-1940s tsunami, this is a great place to stay. When you go down to the beach park (which is just a short walk down from the home) you can read about the tragic tsunami and see photos of the once thriving town that no longer exists-- but Ron's home is still there! We stayed for 2 nights. One day we combined both a hike into Waipio Valley and a trip to Akaka Falls -- two different directions but workable to combine in a single day. Thanks to Ron and LouAnn for your hospitality and best wishes as you continue to maintain this lovely historic property!

  • Cute and unique home. A great way to experience the big island, take a step back, and enjoy some of the quieter pleasures of the island. Ron is an excellent gelatician, and keeps the home / temple in great condition. We enjoyed the open architecture, great garden views, and eclectic selection of books. Thanks for a great experience.

  • Looking for tranquility & history? Then book Ron's unique and charming home. Kind of a cool adventure for us driving there in a downpour too. Our daughter also enjoyed the special temple space. Ron and his caretaker were super responsive to our needs and requests. Mahalo.

  • My wife and I spent our last night in Hawaii at Pavel and Irina's beautiful and spacious apartment. It has an amazing view out over the Pacific and the sunrise is spectacular. The apartment is fully equiped for an extended stay, and the local general store is a treasure not to be missed. The apartment is large and comfortable, check in is easy, and Pavel and Irina respond quickly to messages. It is in a lovely rural setting, very quiet and private, yet close to Hilo and many natural wonders along the coast.

    Rae2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot. Quiet, with an extraordinary view. I was there for a short get-away and it was just what I needed: nice, clean, stylish, quiet, and the ocean view was incredible.

    Jason2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Staying here was wonderful, and they were very great about communication. Our tour was canceled due to water, and we decided to check in earlier. Pavel and Irina were very flexible for our check in. Recommend.

  • This place was exactly as in the listing. It was extremely well equipped as we stayed 3 weeks. It is more remote than some may like but there is an awesome restaurant and little store at the bottom of the hill. It is rural but not far from anywhere which we wanted. Most definitely recommend it. They are doing some yard work in the near future that will make it even better. I would return.

    Jackie2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and comfortable place to stay. Check out the store/bar at the end of the road for great live music.

    Tyler2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful apartment but there are lots of cars in the area and some might be turned off by that. But close to Hilo and other great spots. We enjoyed our stay

    Jose2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Irina’s place has everything you need and more. It is a nice place, very clean and organized, you can see the host has made an effort to ensure you stay is enjoyable. If you love nature you are going to love it there, the sound of the birds in the morning and the amazing view ... palms and sea.. perfect place to have your morning coffee every day. Also, love the location, I feel that you better experience the real Hawaiian life being there

This elegant Room at the Top of an A-Frame house feels like being inside of a pyramid, with the most incredible view from its own private lanai with French doors where you can watch the exquisite sunrise from bed. The weather here usually 68-78 degrees with refreshing trade winds and just enough rain to create a lush tropical climate with an abundance of fruit trees and colorful, aromatic flowers. The room has a table and chair for your laptop.
Overview Enjoy this 1/4 acre with lots of lush foliage with banana, mango, lemon, tangerine, calamansi, passion fruit and lichee trees. This is a large, specious room (12X16) with a private 1/2 bath (toilet and sink, but no shower). You'll have full access to the house (which is shared with the host or with other guests), including the large downstairs lanai and the living room and kitchen and the downstairs bathroom has a shower and a Jacuzzi tub. We have refreshing trade winds, so if you keep the doors and windows open, there is no need for A/C, but there are plenty of fans. There's a triangle of space above the bedroom wall, between the bedroom and the living room, which is great for ventilation, but when there's a light on in the living room, the light is reflected up into the bedroom. I try to keep the light off in the living room after 9 pm, but if you want extreme noise privacy, this is not the best arrangement. If you want to share the room with 1 or 2 other people, there are 2 twin air mattresses that you would have to blow up yourself (there is an electric pump), and then deflate when you leave. Of course, I provide bedding and towels for everyone. Free parking (on the street, right in front of the house. free papayas or mangoes or tangerines when in season, bananas, coffee, tea, Wi-Fi, Jacuzzi. It’s usually quiet and peaceful in Papaaloa, with lots of local color with the occasional roosters and sheep. In the evenings, the children enjoy playing in the street, and at night the coqui frogs sing their concert. On occasion, the neighbors’ hunting dogs get excited, especially when the wild boar wander down from the hills. There is free parking in front of the house and it's a very safe neighborhood. You will want to have a car, though there is access to a $1 bus if you don’t mind the steep 2-block walk up the hill from Highway 19. This is an excellent central location, just 30 minutes north of Hilo along the coast, past the lush valleys and waterfalls. There are lots of fun restaurants and places to shop in Hilo. The house is just 15 minutes from dramatic Laupahoehoe Point where you can watch the ocean waves crashing against the lava rocks Going south, the house is about 10 miles from KoleKole Beach State Park, Akaka Falls and the world famous Arboretum. Or you can drive north a half hour to historic Honokaa with its restored old-fashioned movie theatre, and a little further north to the lush Waipeo Valley. Or turn west from Honokaa and another quarter hour will take you to the town of Waimea with a brewery and more restaurants and galleries. Or go up Saddle Road to the world-class observatory on Mauna Kea (bring warm clothes for that trip - it snows up there!). A half hour past Waimea will bring you to some of the world’s finest white sands beaches at Mauna Kea and Hapuna, where there is excellent snorkeling and the sun almost always shines. One of the marvels of the Big Island is that it contains 10 of the world's 14 different climate zones. When you dream of a lush tropical Hawaii, with soft trade winds and waterfalls and sensual aromas, and coconut trees swaying in the wind, you are dreaming of the climate of the Hamakua Coast. It is almost always between 68 and 78 degrees here. If you want to be able to wake up in the morning and walk to the beach, you'll need to go to the other side. But then you'll be in the hot, dry, humid climate, and more likely to encounter the vog (smog from the volcano). If you enjoy the lush green, with refreshing breezes and amazing sunrises, this is the place for you. Or, if you have time, plan to spend half your time on this side of the island (the Hamakua Coast on the Hilo Side) and half your time on the Kona side. Getting Around You will want to have a car, though there is access to a $1 bus if you don’t mind the steep 2-block walk up the hill from Highway 19. Extra Details Other Things to Note There is WiFi and a collection of DVDs. There is a landline with free phone calls to the US and Canada. There is decent cell phone coverage if you have AT&T, but other cell phones tend to have intermittent reception. You will have access to the washing machine, dryer and clothesline. People from all backgrounds are welcome here.
This pink A-Frame house is up on the hill, just 30 miles north of Hilo along the prettiest drive in the world, past the lush valleys and waterfalls of the Hamakua Coast, centrally located between Hilo and Waimea (Kamuela). • I had an amazing time there the fruit she had was very good and it was nice to have that little touch. She stayed up until I made it there because it was at night which made me feel better. The views were amazing from the Room the pictures really can't do it much justice. I have enjoyed my time there.

  • Joy’s place is the perfect haven when staying in Laupāhoehoe! The view was stunning, she provided useful tips on local sites and food. There’s a convenient cafe with excellent pizza close by, and the location was great for exploring both the north shore and Hilo. I’d recommend the space to anyone!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Joy’s - very quaint house. No one else there so had the run of facilities. Great view from balcony. Just a little warm in the upstairs room - couldn’t really wedge the door open as our girls were on air beds - but was fine really 😊

The air is fresh and clean, and by the way, the volcano is no longer active. Free parking in front of the house, but on the property, so no one else parks there. Free bananas, papayas, lemons, mangoes, lychee and tangerines when in season and 10% Kona coffee, black and herbal tea, Wi-Fi, Jacuzzi tub. We are just 3 blocks from the Papaaloa Store and Cafe, which has an excellent selection of local fresh fruits and veggies, with some organic foods and frozen meat (including local grass fed beef) and alcohol. The Cafe has good food, including excellent pizza and burgers, and a full bar and great music every night except Sunday and Monday (it's closed on Sundays). It’s usually quiet and peaceful in Papaaloa, with lots of local color, but do expect the occasional roosters and dogs and at night the coqui frogs sing their concert. You will want to have a car, though there is access to a $1 bus that doesn't run very often if you don’t mind the steep 2-block walk up the hill from Highway 19. There are lots of fun restaurants and places to shop and theaters in Hilo and in Honoka'a (both 30 minutes away). The house is just 15 minutes from dramatic Laupahoehoe Point where you can watch the ocean waves crashing against the dramatic lava rocks. Going south, the house is about 10 miles from KoleKole Beach State Park, Akaka Falls and the world famous Arboretum. A half-hour to the north is the quaint little town of Honoka'a, with its restored old-fashioned movie theatre, and a super market and several good restaurants. and a little further north is the lush Waipeo Valley. Or turn west from Honokaa and another quarter hour will take you to the town of Waimea (Kamuela) with a brewery and more restaurants and galleries and a performance theater. A half-hour past Waimea will bring you to some of the world’s finest white sands beaches at Mauna Kea and Hapuna, where there is excellent snorkeling and the sun almost always shines. One of the marvels of the Big Island is that it contains 10 of the world's 14 different climate zones. When you dream of a lush tropical Hawaii, with soft trade winds and waterfalls and sensual aromas, and coconut trees swaying in the wind, you are dreaming of the climate of the Hamakua Coast, which is where we are. But please note that if you long for white sands beaches and the hot dry weather, you need to go to the Kona side of the island. If you want to be able to wake up in the morning and walk to the beach, you'll need to go to the other side. But then you'll be in the hot, dry, humid climate. If you enjoy the lush green, with refreshing breezes and amazing sunrises, this is the place for you. Or, if you have time, you may enjoy spending half your time on this side of the island (the Hamakua Coast on the Hilo Side) and half your time on the Kona side. Extra Details Other Things to Note There is a collection of DVDs. There is a TV with basic cable in the living room. There is a landline with free phone calls to the US and Canada. There is half-decent cell phone coverage if you have AT&T, but other cell phones tend to have intermittent reception. You will have access to the washing machine, dryer and clothesline. People from all backgrounds are welcome here.
This is an old Filipino neighborhood. When the nearby sugar cane operation was closed down, around 1985, the owner built a number of A-Frame houses for the workers to move into, and this is one of them. The house is just 24 miles north of Hilo and about 10 miles from KoleKole Beach State Park, Laupahoehoe Point, Akaka Falls and the world famous Arboretum. Also in nearby Laupahoehoe, there is a free Olympic-size swimming pool, tennis courts, library, gas station and convenience store.
  • Nice room, close to a cafe/bar that’s nice for dinner. Taco Tuesdays is a hit. Little far from everything else but that was expected. Joy was very kind and helped us out when my dad injured his ankle. Very thoughtful host. We appreciated her and her home.

  • We felt very comfortable in the house. Since we like to cook ourselves, we really appreciated the extensive kitchen equipment. Nice terrace with sea view - have seen whales several times from there :-)

  • I had a very nice stay. The location is very quiet and five minutes by foot to the store and restaurant. Joy it’s very helpful and everything you need is available. The house has a very nice porch end it is very relaxing to sit there and read. I will certainly recommend her place to my friends.

  • Comfortable & enjoyable place! We felt relaxed and at home at Joy's place. The porch has great views and is the perfect place to sit anytime of day.

    Sarah2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • The breeze, the view off the lanai, the big plants in the backyard and the quiet neighborhood all added to the experience of Aloha here and to my much needed rest. Also this airbnb is close to many places of interest by vehicle. And I especially liked the small health food store/restaurant/bar and post office less then a half a mile away.

    Joyce2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Joy’s place is great! A convenient base to get to many places. It was pleasant surprise! Great energy!!! :)

  • Clean place with a nice view

    Mariam2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Nice, quiet location! Fantastic view of the sea. Nice, uncomplicated communication. There is WiFi, a kitchen that can be shared and sometimes even fresh fruit from the garden. The accommodation was suitable for our stay on Big Island. One should only make sure that the island is quite large. Depending on where you want to go, you should plan travel time. A larger supermarket is no closer than 30 minutes drive.

  • We had a lovely stay in one of Sidra's cabins! The cabin was rustic in a charming way, and was nice and clean. The property itself is beautiful, it's a small farm with some breathtaking views of the ocean! Sidra was a great host and checked in with us a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. She was very responsive to messages and gave some very helpful directions to locate the property. If you stay in these cabins, definitely check out the restaurant/store across the main road from here! It had delicious food and some great live music!

Whether you are traveling with family or friends or live here locally, this charming abode has something for everyone. Enjoy your time in this fully furnished private home on a third of a jungle acre with breadfruit, mango and avocado trees to name a few. Unwind on the outdoor lanai with the complimentary smore's bar and bbq, or enjoy the ocean views. This house is located on the Big Island of Hawaii.
This house that sits on just over a third of an acre on a corner lot is filled with trees that tower over head. Old growth mango, breadfruit and plantains are growing among vines and other vegetation. The house itself is 1300 sq feet with a master sweet on one end of the home and an additional bathroom, two bedrooms and laundry room down the hallway at the other end. The carport is nice and roomy allowing for a nice place to park and a cute little sitting area to look at the ocean. The house has solar hot water as well.
This house offers the best of both worlds, great, convenient location on a little frontage street in Laupahoehoe while being surrounded by old growth trees to provide privacy. Laupahoehoe has a swimming pool a block from this house, convenience store and gas station, train museum, and Laupahoehoe Point, which bodes deep history, a public park and amazing rocky shores to explore, just to name a few. If you start driving in either direction you will find old back roads to explore, cliffs, and little great places to shop and eat.
  • Thank you very much for sharing the house. Very beautiful house. We all live very comfortably. The bed is very comfortable. I would recommend it to friends.

    Janette2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Christian's place was wonderful - so much space for our party of 5. The back patio has a grilling area which we used and the house is about a mile away from an adorable grocery store/cafe combo that we loved visiting. Christian was outstandingly accommodating and flexible with our requests - so great! The space was clean and had everything we needed for coffee, tea and s'mores. We would recommend the pineapple house to anyone.

    Kathryn2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • You get three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a livingroom/kitchen all for less than $100/night. This is a bargain compared to what you can get in Kona for the same price. If I knew that, I would have booked my whole trip in Pineapple house since we rented car anyway and being walking distance from beach was not a must for us anyway. The place is very clean with a fully functional kitchen and all necessary amenities such as washer and dryer. It also had sun umbrella and beach chairs to make beach visits more enjoyable.

    Ansis2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very nice, clean, well decorated, spacious. We loved it!

Make sure to get up early to walk the farm to see all the animals out and about, munchin on grass. :) They seemed to be more active in the morning. Would definitely stay here again. • My boyfriend and I stayed at Sidra’s place for one night during our trip to the Big Island. We loved the little cottage! After a day of hiking in the rain in and around Hilo, we were happy to arrive somewhere dry and be able to take a hot shower. The view from the cottage was amazing, and the bed is positioned so that you can look out the window at night and see some amazing stars. There is a really cute general store down the road that we ate at for breakfast on the way out in the morning (closed Sunday!). Overall, the cottage was clean, the bed comfy, and the views amazing. We would definitely stay here again.

It was a great place to relax after a long day of hiking. We would definitely stay here again!

Paradise Bluff is a beautiful home perched on the cliffs of the small seaside town of Laupahoehoe. Relax, take a deep breath, and enjoy the Aloha spirit and traditions of the Big Island of Hawaii. Located on the spectacular Hamakua Coast between Hilo and Waimea, Paradise Bluff spans 288 ft. of coastline and overlooks historical Laupahoehoe Point. The sweeping 180-degree views of the Pacific Ocean, tropical gardens, and private decks all combine to make a uniquely-breathtaking retreat. You may use this awesome home as a convenient jumping-off point to many of the famous Big Island sites, or you may simply choose to escape from it all, relax on the lanais, and enjoy the exotic birds, crashing blue surf, swaying palm trees, and rainbow-colored geckos. Paradise Bluff is a destination in itself. Paradise Bluff features a luxurious top floor Master suite, complete with a king sized bed, wall-mounted flat screen TV, large walk-in shower (with two shower heads), elegant ”spa-like” bathroom, coffee station and fridge, private deck, and an oversized dressing room. The bedroom's vaulted ceilings and ceiling fan help circulate the ocean breezes. The huge sun deck allows for private sunbathing with spectacular views of Laupahoehoe Point in the distance. The covered wrap-around deck has an elegant teak dining table for six. Step down to the smaller lower deck to find the Weber gas grill and a chaise lounge for sun-bathing. All the decks are newly tiled and overlook the water; it really feels like you're living in the Presidential Suite on the forward bow of a cruise ship – without the crowds and buffets! Laupahoehoe is a small town with its roots in the sugar-industry. Today, it has a beautiful beach park, post-office, police station, one restaurant, Train Museum, and a fantastic open-air eight-lane public swimming pool (with lifeguard) that is free to the public. Just a few minutes away is the recently-renovated 100 year-old Papaaloa Country Store and Cafe with its a fabulous bakery, sandwiches, and burgers, along with a wide selection of groceries and fresh produce. About 20 minutes' drive north is Honokaa Town, the gateway to famed Waipio Valley. Honokaa has several good shops and restaurants and a wonderful FirstFriday art and shop walk the first Friday of every month. Hilo, 35 minutes to the south and Waimea, 45 minutes to the northwest, both provide a variety of restaurants, shops, nightlife and unique local attractions like zip-lining, botanical gardens, and farmer's markets. One hour west of Paradise Bluff is the famous Hapuna Beach and several world-class beach resorts with great golf courses. A/C Notes: Individual AC unit in the master bedroom, living room and one downstairs bedroom. All three bedrooms have ceiling fans and house stays comfortable with ocean breeze almost constantly. Hilo / Hamakua Coast (BIG ISLAND)
  • This house truly has the most amazing views . The master bedroom has a 180 view of the ocean and you can spend every moment staring at the ocean. The best part is waking up to the ocean and then having breakfast on the lanai. We also loved lounging on the open air veranda upstairs where you can bask in the hot sun with the ocean right in front of you, blowing warm air. We spent a several hours here before moving on to our planned day activities. The kitchen is also well stocked with pots, pans and other equipment and you will want for nothing. The wifi works very well in the house and there is cable TV should you want to look at anything but the ocean. The bathroom was nice and luxurious with high end showers and warm water on demand. Dual sinks in the bathroom. This is truly a beautiful home and we enjoyed staying here. Things that cannot be avoided are the Coqui frogs (nocturnal) which unfortunately most of the big island is plagued with so just bring your white noise music with you. And this being the tropical paradise that it is, mosquitoes exist , although this house being on a cliff, there aren't many and there is plenty of repellent in the house. Overall, if you don't want touristy crowds and want the tranquility and isolation of a Hawaiian neighborhood, this is definitely the place for you.

    Andrea2019-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic view in a rather private neighborhood! We really enjoyed our 7-night stay in the paradise bluff with our 11-month old baby; The view is even better than some of the scenic points we went. In addition, the host and the management team are very welcoming, responsive, and helpful! We had some issues with kitchen appliances and were able to get in touch with them quickly. One note to people who plan to do a lot of activities - the place is a little distant from many places so it is more suitable for those who wants to just chill and relax.

    Iris2019-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely home located on a remote stretch of highway about 35 minutes outside of Hilo. The views are excellent and the common areas spacious. The hosts were very helpful and attentive.

    Alyson2019-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place is truly special. The view is unforgettable with many wonderful sitting areas throughout the place to enjoy it. The house itself is beautiful and has everything you need. Terrific location. I would recommend this house to anyone.

  • Breathtaking views from this exceptional house where we had a very enjoyable stay! Located in a lovely rural setting (35 mn from Hilo) surrounded by the noises of the tropical jungle, this is definitely a great place to stay if you want to visit Big Island, being not too far from everything. The house is very tastefully decorated and very well equipped. The bedroom upstairs with the views on the Pacific is just amazing! One of our best Airbnb experience!

    Géraldine2018-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Views, views, views! This home offered something you will not find easily again. It sits on the cliffside overlooking the Pacific and showed off some surreal sunrises. The home was spacious, plenty of room to spread out for my family of 5 and was super fun to hang out on the multiple decks for hours on end. We did cook every morning and ate breakfast outside watching the ocean and kayakers go by - so cool! You can definitely tell there is pride in ownership with all the decorative and native Hawaiian touches throughout. READ THE DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY. We booked this home somewhat last minute when our original property had to cancel since it was located near the lava-eruption area of Kalapana. I did not read the description thoroughly, and was surprised to see the home did not offer central AC, nor did it offer AC in all bedrooms which we were using. The master is so amazing with the entire upper floor, but there is no door for privacy. The AC unit was not able to cool down the space adequately until late into the night once we fell asleep. Also - one of the two secondary bedrooms on the main floor does not have an AC unit at all or a ceiling fan, and my kids (teens) were hot all night. Overall I would recommend this property as long as you have done your homework and are fully prepared for the warmth/humidity and co-habitating with tropical critters (to be expected). I would definitely come back again during the winter months when it isn't so warm. Thank you Elite for allowing us to stay in this home.

  • Amazing house with an amazing view. I would highly recommend if you don’t mind being in a rural setting. They also have great customer service. We forgot some things at the house after we checked out and they mailed them to us immediately.

  • We could not have been more pleased with this property. Spotless. Stylish. Spacious. The outdoor property, landscaping and views of Laupāhoehoe Pt. are so so gorgeous. Our family was comfortable and delighted with all aspects of the house, including the bonus resident gecko who, as the old Hawaiian legend goes, brought us good luck😊. The pictures were accurate, but could not possibly capture the feeling of serenity that was present in that house. The large master bedroom with wrap around views and the second floor coffee maker were nice added touches. We had our privacy with ample space to relax on the large deck off the bedroom. The covered deck on the first floor was a perfect place for meals. We can’t wait to come back!

Offering boating, hiking, and helicopter tours of the lava fields, these excursions are sure to be something you'll never forget.

  • Karen’s place is super clean, and well-stocked with everything one needs to feel right at home. She and her family are friendly and welcoming and they have a beautiful farm full of life. I will definitely return and recommend to anyone looking for a conveniently located, yet private and serene farm stay.

  • If you like peace, great place to be. Great host and very clean. Highly recommended.

  • A centralized location to explore the East side of the island. Easy to make yourself at home and relax. We enjoyed visiting with Karen and the rural location. Definitely worth a visit!

  • Very homey and wonderful

    Christine2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Karen’s farm and enjoyed being part of the human and animal family. Our place was completely comfortable and perfect for visiting the special places on the island.

    Bob2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing, a super cool and spacious getaway on a farm! The place was big, open, comfortable, and clean. Karen made sure we had everything we needed. They are such nice people and told us all about the farm and their animals. We loved every minute of it. Just be prepared to be surrounded by the sounds of animals!

    Daniel2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay! We loved being on the farm during the lambing season, and we loved our hosts! They were helpful with ideas and answers to questions, and they let us follow them around during feeding time. The cottage is off the beaten path, so we only heard wind and birds and rain at night. From one window we could see the ocean, and from another, snow on the volcano. Stars and moonlight at night.... The kitchen is well equipped so we had the option to cook our meals there, or eat out. When we took off to explore, Karen provided towels and beach chairs! The cottage is about 10 miles from Hilo, and 2 miles from Acaca Falls and a coffee shop, if you're desperate for town... We were so busy on this trip - we are looking forward to returning for a more laid back stay.

    Claire2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Karen is the most welcoming, lovely lady we’ve had the joy of meeting through our airbnb adventures. She made checking in easy, contacting us close to arrival to ensure we understood the area (where to buy groceries/petrol etc). The property itself is beautiful, whoever designed it should be commended. We were able to cook dinner for ourselves easily and were provided with an ample amount of blankets and towels (thank you! Definitely lacking in other places, we really appreciated it). The goats are super cute and you can say hi to them in the mornings on your way out to explore for the day. If you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs. And it is a farm, so don’t be shocked in you come across the occasional animal/bug (all friendly and beautiful - inherent with a tropical climate). This property has the warm, relaxing amenities of home whilst enabling the animal lover/adventurer/holidaymaker in you to be fulfilled, enjoy your stay!

  • Michael and Jackie’s guest house and farm really exceeded our expectations! The guest house is spacious and beautiful, with views of the ocean, basic kitchen amenities so we could cook our own meals, and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We had never been to the Big Island and I am so glad we stayed there. The Hilo side of the island is so lush and gorgeous. It was very relaxing and peaceful to spend time at the guesthouse and walk through the farm. I think no matter where you stay on the Big Island it takes some driving to access different activities (of course even the drives are majestic!), and this location was perfect. We visited Hilo’s shops and restaurants, Volcanoes National Park, swam with the manta rays north of Kona (with the Wicked Wahine dive tour which we highly recommend), visited beaches on the northwest side, and the black sand beach at the south end. Grocery stores, restaurants and shopping are available in Waimea (25 minutes away) and Hilo (30-35 minutes away). We found doing those drives even at night in the rain was totally fine. If you stay here don’t miss visiting Laupāhoehoe Point, the nearby Hawaii Botanical Garden, and stargazing at the top of Michael and Jackie’s street.

  • Lovely place, great view. Sheep in next paddock were very friendly! Would stay again.

  • Great location. Cute little bungalow style house. My kids enjoyed seeing the farm animals. Michael and his wife were great hosts!

  • Comfortable cottage that comes with a lovely farm. You’ll get to wake up to lovely animals and a beautiful ocean view. Michael and Jackie are also very kind and helpful.

    Stephanie2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here! The house was comfortable and well appointed, but most importantly, the setting is the prettiest place we have stayed! The ocean views are incredible and the farm is beautifully laid out with clear paths to walk— nice to walk in the morning to say hi to the animals and take it all in. Michael was very friendly and happy to talk with us about what he has been doing. He very clearly loves being a farmer and you can see that everywhere on the property, as well as in the fruit and flowers shared with us. It was hard to pack up to go.

    Kat2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great two-night stay at Mike and Jackie's place while exploring the Hamakua coast. Mike and Jackie were very welcoming and hospitable and it was a pleasure to talk with them about sights in the area and their farm. The space is cozy, just as shown in the photos, and good for a couple. As other reviewers note, the location is very peaceful and quiet and you'll hear the coqui frogs as you fall asleep. One note: as it's a rural area, T-Mobile users have little to no service here (which is a plus if you're looking to disconnect 😀).

    Adrian2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very cool, unique place, wonderful view and surroundings! We especially enjoyed the outdoor covered cooking/dining space, was so great for the night it poured rain! We loved the sound of the rain on the roof as we grilled our dinner under cover! It was pretty cool to have sheep and goat neighbors too!

    Corine2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at Michael's place! Gorgeous, great location, wonderful hosts. We will definitely be staying here again next time we're in Hilo.

  • Oksana is a very friendly and helpful person. Large and clean room an bathroom, delicious coffee, peaceful place! Highly recommended :)

    Marta2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Oksana's place is amazing. A must book! The view was breathtaking, the bed and sheets were extremely comfortable, the room is large, inviting and tranquil.

    Lauren2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Oksana’a place was absolutely amazing! She was so kind and flexible during check-in, quick to respond and happy to answer questions. The house is absolutely beautiful, with incredible views. The room and bathroom were both clean and comfortable (especially due to the bathrobes provided). Each morning Oksana offered us coffee and snacks, and checked in to make sure we were happy and comfortable. If you’re looking for a nice place to wind down after each busy day, this is the spot to do so. Side note, the stars are to die for, even just from the driveway.

    Gretchen2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Oksana is friendly and professional. She has been doing Airbnb for quite some time and has a good sense of what guests expect. The bedroom with the ocean view is super clean, spacious, and bright. There is also a spacious bathroom attached inside the room. The robes were a nice touch! Oksana brewed delicious coffee each morning for us and offered toast and fruit. Very hospitable! Check out the guest guide for things to do in the area. We explored the whole island while we were there and Oksana's farm was a tranquil get away to rest at night. She has cows and sheep there. The cows like banana peel- just ask before giving. The location is a short drive north of Hilo, with waterfalls along the way. The zip line is also close by. Easy to get to with only 1 turn off the highway. Follow Oksana's instructions to the home if you don't have internet and you'll be fine. We enjoyed our time here. Thank you again!

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
1st Floor is the main lobby, with bathroom, kitchenette (refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker & hot kettle. Dining & sofa area. All rooms accessible to outside lanai's.
The laid back atmosphere, light showers, gift shops, churches and mainly the townsfolk.
  • Real gem about 20min north of Hilo and 10mins down the from akaka falls. Check in and check out is painless, the room is cute, sparkling clean, and had plenty of storage. The building has a lot of charm but the interior feels very updated/well maintained. The kitchenette area near the entrance is very functional with coffee and some food for breakfast in addition to plenty of fridge space and utensils/plates for guests. It felt very functional for longer stays and we wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend!

Honomu is a very small town but the next city is not to far. It takes some time to get to Kona but if you look for a cozy and quiet place to stay it’s perfect. Highly recommended!!

  • This is a beautiful, clean and modern space, great for families. I stayed with my 14-month-old daughter and the self-serve keurig and fridge stocked with yogurt, whole milk, almond milk and other basics in the downstairs kitchen was supremely convenient. The extra amenities (beach towels, bug spray, flashlights) were a nice surprise, as were the fresh linens and towels every day. Overall everything seemed to reflect the level of thoughtfulness and care that Amy put into this space. Not a lot of food options nearby but it's peaceful and quiet, you can hear the birds at night, and Hilo is only 15-20 min away. Would definitely recommend.

  • Honomu Inn was really wonderful. Clean, tidy, well kept. They've really thought of everything, and we felt very safe and secure (and the A/C worked like a charm!) during our ten-night stay. My one tip would be to be sure to read all of host Amy's commentary on checking in, etc. She was so thorough in detailing what to expect when we arrived, it was a breeze getting to our room. We had the perfect stay, and you can't beat the location.

    Amber2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • The Honomu Inn is absolute perfection. The room was sparkling clean and we loved the all white decor. Amy and her team provide very thoughtful touches, breakfast, many recommendations, the room has AC, and it's only 15 min away from Akaka Falls. We truly had a great stay and only have positive feedback for this amazing gem!

Exploring the Big Island of Hawaii does not have to be expensive...try 'glamping' on our small farm! We are a mile from Akaka Falls on the beautiful Hamakua Coast. At 700 feet elevation, our property has year-round breezes and multiple ocean views. Spacious tent with 2 single beds, comfortable mattresses, outdoor shower of timber bamboo, and your own kitchen. We raise much of our own food. Breakfast features our own eggs, coffee, tangerines, bananas, pineapple, papaya, avocados, etc.
If you like the outdoors and the sounds of nature, we are a good match. It is a camping situation, with sleeping, dining and bathing areas separately located, and solar lighting. We are in a rural area, there are sounds of (a few, not many) coqui frogs and chickens. We have hosted farm workers for months in our facility and they enjoyed it, but a five-star hotel we are not. We have three friendly and quiet sheep and two farm cats. You have your own entrance into the property, and you can see as much or as little of us as you want. We are easily available by visit, call, email or text. We live on the rainy side of the island... on purpose, as water is vital to Permaculture. Rain showers tend to be short and intermittent. Slip on, slip off shoes will come in handy.
We are a short drive from Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden, the historic villages of Wailea and Honumu, Papa’aloa Country Store and Restaurant, featuring live music, and the breathtaking scenery of Laupahoehoe Point. Puna, Hawaii Volcanos National Park and the white sand beaches of Hapuna are within an hours drive.
  • It was one of those once in a lifetime experiences!! Deb and Rick are fantastic hosts. They make sure everything is perfect. Communication was very effective and check in and check out process was very smooth. Deb was so welcoming and made us a great breakfast during our two days stay. Fresh fruits from grown in their farm are damn tasty!! Wonderful conversation about traveling and their farm. I would absolutely stay with them if I were visiting the Island!!!

  • Deb’s place is unique and such a cool experience! Stay here to get a feel for the local life on the island. Deb was so welcoming and made us a great breakfast in the morning with coffee, tea, and local fruit. The tent was pretty big and there were a lot of nature sounds at night as expected. Overall a great place to stay!

A "tiny house" experience Big Island style. An authentic Hawaii country experience with two futons (main floor and in loft). Plenty seasonal fruit:oranges, tangerines, bananas, papayas. Large lanai overlooking the gulch, inside coffee maker, cooler, and a cozy space for being "unplugged" (no TV, internet). Access to fridge. Outdoor sink and hot shower, new outhouse. Constructed primarily of recycled and repurposed materials, in the spirit of sustainability cherished by our island.
We'd love to welcome you with aloha and can provide additional input and guidance if you desire: make your own dehydrated bananas or fruits, help weed the pineapples, pick fruit, learn how and make your own kombucha. Of course, ideas for hikes, shopping, restaurants, and waterfalls/events are also provided upon request.
Only four houses on my road-----this is pure country, but only 45 minutes from great beaches and most activities.
  • Loved it! We stayed here our last night on island before going back to Oahu and it was so nice 😊 If you are an anti-nature person then this might not be the best place for you because it’s a bit open to the outdoors with the screen door and outdoor shower (and a cute little gecko inside!) but if you love listening to the rain as you go to sleep and being gently woken to the sounds of birds and the like then you will love it! I thought of it a bit like “glamping” in a way

  • Carol’s place was one of the best place we stayed at on the island! It’s very private and cozy. It is very accessible test it feels remote! Everything we need is there! I only wish we had taken some chicken to cook on the bbq :-) Carol is very nice and made us feel very welcomed! Perfect!

  • This was a lovely stay in the forest! We met some geckos and had a great time drinking coffee on the porch and admiring the garden

    Christine2019-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Carol’s place is a delight. We just needed a place to rest up between a couple of long days driving and hiking about. Perfectly sized for the three of us with lots of lovely touches. We were able to shelter from a storm and make some grilled cheese sandwiches and then watch a movie before bed. Whilst the storm (a huge one by Hawaii standards) meant it was a little tricky to sleep soundly, this is no reflection on the loveliness of the place. Note that there is no WiFi or cell service (network dependent) so just be sure you’ve done all your onward admin prior to arrival. It’s nice to switch off. The stars outside were incredible.

  • Honomu Inn is by far the best Airbnb I have ever stayed in. The host and innkeeper’s hospitality is unparalleled, and the amenities and cleanliness of the hotel room is incredible! Honomu is just a short drive to Hilo and conveniently located to several great spots in the Big Island (volcano, hikes, farm tours, etc.). We will definitely be back and will highly recommend this place to all of our friends and family!

    Stephanie2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • This quaint building is a delightful place to stay for a few nights....out of the business of Hilo but very convenient to all the major roads North, South or West across to Kona. Andrew is extremely polite and more than willing to help with luggage or anything else you need. Also, they have a wide variety of items for use by guests (insect repellent, lanterns, beach chairs, ear plugs, flashlights, etc). Excellent variety of breakfast items & beverages. Full refrigerator to store your own items. After spending two weeks on the Big Island, this is where we will always come back to stay! The cleanliness is unparalleled! The bedding is the softest and mattresses are perfect. The remodel was done with first class accommodation in mind... everything from bathroom fixtures to door hardware & on-demand water heating. This was the only place on the Big Island that we did not see a single insect at all.... they use both traps & electronic bug repellent. The balcony was lovely to sit out & relax in a sleepy little town.... the recommendations for restaurants were spot on, too! Thanks for a wonderful Airbnb experience!

  • Booked a room at the Honomu Inn for a few days in tiny Honomu. Very clean and neat, beautiful building. Few amenities on site, as advertised. A couple of small restaurants near by, and Hilo within a 20 min drive.

  • Great place, very clean rooms, as well as bright and cool; great place to rest. Highly suggest.

  • This place was absolutely perfect for us! Truly sparkling clean, very modern, and great location for exploring waterfalls and other activities. Hosts were so thoughtful and helpful. I have some family visiting the area in two weeks and I've already recommended the place to them!

  • Sarah (the manager) and her daughter Arora were charming. We loved getting to know them. Sarah was welcoming and had great suggestions for our day trips. We loved our room with the doors that opened to the rooftop. We had a soft rainfall each evening which was relaxing and a nice relief to the hot days.

  • This is a big mansion so it was really interesting to stay at for such an affordable price. We actually didn't see other guests there so it felt very private and the spacious backyard was great to walk around with the view of the ocean. We didn't have any issues!

  • This place is on a piece of beautiful property. It's close enough to Hilo. We enjoyed our stay. The place is very quiet even though it is close by the high way. Host is very easy to communicate. Thanks for hosting us. The only downside is the WiFi is not very stable. But great place and great value!

  • This space was stylish, immaculately clean and had everything I needed. Check in was simple, and the hosts respond very quickly. They provided me with great tips for foods and activities in and around Hilo. Plus they are at a nice location to access many different parts of the island. 10/10 would stay again!

    Hilo, Hi, United States

Private Bedroom on the Main strip of Historic Honokaa town! Just 1 mins walk to town with shops & restaurants! 10 mins to Waipio Valley with black sand beaches & Waterfalls, the 2nd most visited spot on island! This 3 bedroom Hawaiian Style Plantation house is newly renovated. There's a historic koi pond in the courtyard and outside hallway that leads to 2 shared bathrooms & Full Kitchen! Free wifi and smart TV! We are north central so it's great for going either side to Hilo or Kona & Waipio!
We are north so we do not get any VOG and is safe from the volcanic activity. We have many people evacuating to this area it has the best air quality all year round. The Volcano room is our smallest room and cheapest, what's nice is it has windows all around, it's good if you wanted to save money. I recommend this room is best for one person as it's the smallest room in my complex. For only $5 more you can get a bigger room for two. But some guest want to save money so they don't mind but I wanted you to know there's other rooms that are larger. This is the only room without a ceiling fan, however we have a portable small fan, depends when you stay if it's during the winter months you won't need a fan cause it's pretty cool at night. If you want bigger space the Master bedroom is large or Hamakua room is med size for just $5 more our Mauna Kea room has it's own entrance and Waipio Studio is largest with it's own kitchenette. We have had many guests stay in this room and didn't mind because they are out most of the day and would prefer to save the money.
It's in the Historic town of Honokaa, you get to enjoy walking to town, to farmers markets, shops, restaurants, historic theatre for only $6, free public pools, skate park, libary next door. My Shave ice and boba tea shop in front!
  • It's a great, albeit sparsely populated location. However, more populated hubs like Waimea are 15 minutes away and it's a beautiful part of Hawaii. The value is great.

    Dean2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • You are centrally located in downtown Honokaa, right across from shops, restaurants, and the Hamakua Police Station. It is very safe. The beds, sheets, pillows, and towels are all first rate. It is very clean. There is a nice koi pond and a sleepy house cat. The owner Mai, her sister Mar, and Uncle Jimmy are all very helpful. Mai has several housing options here. Small room with one bed; larger room with two beds; large studio with kitchenette and frig; larger unit set apart from the others with its own private bath and kitchenette; etc. The private unit is truly beautiful, but it is more expensive than the other rooms. Most rooms share a couple of clean bathrooms and have their own showers. Mai's team does a great job keeping the place clean and bug free. It is less expensive here than many places on the Kona side. Honokaa, the Hamakua Coast, and Waipio Valley are all beautiful. You are 20 minutes from Waimea, and an hour or so from Kona and Hilo. I look forward to a return visit.

    Derek2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent value, right off the main strip of town. Very clean! We used Mai's place as a launching pad for visits to both Waipio Valley and Pololu Valley hikes. Uncle Jimmy was a great point-person for questions and so kind. The lanai is pretty tight on space (as advertised), but there are plenty of common areas for lounging. Kitchen is stocked with plenty of pots/pans/cutlery, and some cooking essentials (salt/oil/etc). Note that there are only 2 shared bathrooms for several rooms, so when it's a full house, there can be a fair wait time for the bathroom...reminiscent of college dorm days :P Would recommend!

    Patricia2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Stay was great. The house is clean and is in a very good location.

    Krishna2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Nice Hawaiian Home, with a great host I hope I can come back one day

    Ulrich2019-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • Mai’s is a sweet place. It’s right in town and close to everything. The room and shared spaces were clean and cozy. Highlights were listening to the coquis at night and fresh orange juice in the morning.

    Meta2019-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • Nice old and clean house with little garden, where you can look to the stars. The volcano room was -liked described- little, but cosy and with oceanview. Honokaa ist a little lively „westerntown“. We would come again.

    Andrea2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • We were really well settled in this accommodation. It was really very clean and comfortable. On top of that, Mai sent us lots of useful information about the neighborhood and the activities to do :)

Very secluded beautiful home with ocean views along the Hamakua Coast! Enter with your own hidden driveway to a completely private piece of paradise! Sweeping lawns and spectacular views of the beauty of the islands. Only 15 minutes from Laupahoehoe beach park and 25 minutes from Hilo.
Home has a beautiful covered lanai with spectacular views! Patio table and 8 chairs along with two hanging hammocks allow you to truly enjoy those views!!! Huge yard including a fire pit for your private use. ***In accordance with local laws, Please contact the Hawaii Fire Department (808-961-8336) and give them the address if you plan to build a fire. Mahalo!
Only 15 minutes from Laupāhoehoe point beach park. Less than 10 minutes from Papaaloa Country Store. 25 minutes from Hilo. Our favorite things to see, things to do, and places to eat: Going north (turning left out of our driveway) there is Papa’aloa country store less than 10 minutes away that is really worth going to. You can buy most necessities there and some nostalgic fun stuff, but they also prepare fantastic food in the back and have a little restaurant as well. They have live entertainment sometimes on weekends. Turn left out of our driveway, go around the first big gulch and then watch for the sign. there is a road angling off to the right that takes you straight to it. Laupahoehoe Beach Park is only a little further past Papaaloa. Go around the second big gulch and turn right, follow the windy road all the way down to the point. You can picnic there, play ball and swim. Fantastic views as well and learn about the devastation of the tsunami that wiped out the little school that used to be there. About a half hour north of us just before you get to Honokaa is Tex’s Drive-In. Fantastic food and the best malasadas (Portuguese donut common to Hawaii) served hot!!! South of us (turn right out of our driveway) watch for the signs to take the Scenic Route. It is the old road that heads to Hilo with spectacular views and things to see. Truly the beauty of the islands. In Honomu, about 10 miles from us is Akaka Falls. There is a short hike to see all the falls but so worth it!!! Breathtaking views and you get to experience the gardens of Hawaii!!! In Hilo, Rainbow Falls is right downtown!! Easy to access and breathtaking!! Coconut Island is fantastic with picnic areas, surrounded by little beaches and towers to jump off if you have the nerve! The farmers market is fantastic!! The best two days are Saturday and Wednesday. If you are in the area, that is a real highlight!! You’ll love it! It is located right next to the storefronts at Hilo Bay. The first storefront next to the farmers market has a little entrance to several places to eat. The Thai food there is wonderful and the shave ice is fantastic!!! Get the works!! Several beaches in Hilo that are great are in the Keaukaha area. Onekahakaha is a great little kids beach, then there is Richardson’s beach, For Miles Beach. Several along there. For choices of real traditional food, try Hawaiian Style Cafe. Quite a long wait but very good. Vernas Drive-In or Ken’s House of Pancakes are great too. Try the coconut syrup at Ken’s!!! You’ll get hooked! Big Island Candies right in Hilo town is a great place to visit as well. They let you sample a few things and watch them make the candies. Try the chocolate dipped shortbread cookies!! Super yummy!! Check out what’s happening with the lava flow. This is always changing and devastating, but beautiful!
  • Situated in a little slice of heaven. Feels really secluded even though it is near the highway.

  • This property is great if you want privacy and a natural surrounding. The place was inmmaculate and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The property is surrounded by trees and actually has a view of the ocean(got a nice sunrise timelapse). Great location, great home at a great value.

    Osamah2019-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of the best Airbnb stays we’ve had in a while. It’s a very unique property - it’s super secluded and has views from the wraparound deck of the ocean. Things like a surfboard and boogie boards and beach toys, hammock on the deck and well kitted our kitchen were nice touches. The loft with its hatch access was fun - as was the huge bathtub. We felt like we were in good hands, and would absolutely stay here again!

The large enclosed/screened lanai captures wonderful views of exotic flowers & fruit trees with distant ocean views. The location of our farm captures our love for life, nature, peace, and a safe caring neighborhood. Or as a friend described the area "Fairy land", she is too cute. All this to help you rejuvenate and appreciate life just a bit more. Hawaii Vanilla Farm nearby along with Honokaa Town with restaurants, local shops, and groceries. Paauilo Mauka(mountain side) is about 2,100 feet elevation. It is a unique area that provides a good balance of rain and sunshine for plants to thrive. With cool breezes and average day temperatures of about 75 to 82 degrees ºF and night temps of about 58 to 68 degrees ºF. No air conditioning needed. I love the beach, however, I value my sleep and can't sleep in the heat and humidity of the west side, Kona and Hilo at night. Stargazing is spectacular when the skies are clear. Rarely any vog so you can breath easy. The Hawaii Vanilla Farm, Mauna Kea Tea Farm, local organic produce, local eateries, Tex for famous Malasadas, and great scenic hiking trails and activities along the amazing Hamakua Coast.
  • They make you feel at home. Very knowledgeable & enjoyable to talk with.

  • Fantastic location if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle. Clear evening provided unbelievable view of stars. Host is knowledgeable and provided a tour of his farm with all kinds of editable plants. We enjoyed our time there.

    Claudia2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful and unique stay! T and his wife are so kind and welcoming. We chose to stay here because we were interested in seeing what a converted shipping container home would look like. T gave us a tour around the property and let us pick his brain about his home. So interesting! Everything was sparking clean and the bed was super comfortable. The locals are also welcoming and super nice-- this is a must stay on the big island!!

    Randi2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Stay is way out on the country up a winding road. Make sure you have the directions as to how to use the phone T provides and how to connect to the internet. Your phone will probably not have signal there. Allow time in your schedule for the farm tour T enjoys providing

    Carol2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent hospitality. Very accommodating and beautiful location. Wonderful farm with wonderful family. 10/10 would recommend. P.S. you need a car

    Amy2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great place where you can experience the island life outside the resorts. The location is a farm on the side of a mountain. Owners are raising sustainable heirloom and exotic fruits and veggies. Will give you a tour and samples of what is in season. Enjoy being lulled to sleep at night by the frogs, wild turkeys and ducks. Stars fill the sky and it is peaceful. Thoughtful touches abound, place is spotless, kitchen is well stocked with condiments and and owners are very friendly and helpful. Communicated with us and were ready to help in any way. Fantastic experience!

    Jim2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Mr T is one of the most friendly, resourceful, and welcoming hosts we've ever encountered, and he was quick to solve issues as they arose. The place is a cozy container attached to the host's house. It's close to the road but it's a dead end so there's almost no traffic, though you may hear a truck in the distance now and then. The elevation is 2000 ft, so the winter it can get cold at night (~50F / 10C); if you see this coming, be sure to ask Mr T for an electric heater. The tap water is sometimes not great but Mr T has a good solution for that too. The garden is beautiful, with every tropical fruit you can think of growing somewhere, and he greets you with a selection of whatever's in season. Be sure to ask for his tour of the admirable sustainable agriculture project he has going here. Much recommended!

  • This house—mansion—is absolutely gorgeous. It’s a little older than the pictures show but it’s still a phenomenal place. The grounds are spectacular. Definitely go for a room with a balcony! You won’t be disappointed!

  • Amazing house great views from the balcony or the garden. Clean a little hidden ,but some gems are hiding in plane sight. Definitely would stay here again. About 15-20 min from Hilo but the drive is so scenic that you don’t even notice.

  • Jade’s place was just as it sounded in the description. The house is impressive and the room was very clean and comfortable. Wish we made more time to enjoy the incredible view and patio in the backyard on the cliffs above the water. Wow! Thanks for squeezing us in on the night of arrival so last-minute, Jade!

The bedroom features a comfortable Sealy Queen size mattress, full dresser and closet. The kitchen features a full size fridge, coffee maker, toaster and stove top. ** Please note that the oven is currently not working, but the stovetop is. There is WiFi in the home, but no TV or cable, so please make sure to bring your own laptop, tablet or phones as desired. My wife and I live in the upstairs portion of this beautiful Hawaiian home with our 10 year old daughter and our friendly dog Rocky. We do our best to stay as quiet as possible whenever we have guests staying with us, but you will hear us from time to time and Rocky will most likely want to meet you. If you do not like dogs, no problem, just let us know in advance.
Our neighborhood is made up of very quiet and friendly residents so we do not allow any parties or gatherings in our rental unit and kindly ask guests to keep noise at a normal level.
  • Our one night stay at Jason and Virginia's place was amazing, and I wish we could have stayed longer. The guest suite has everything you would need during a trip to the Big Island, including beach towels, sunscreen, and umbrellas. The full kitchen was perfect for cooking with plenty of dishes, utensils, and sauces available. The bed was very comfortable as well. Our favorite part was the property. Jason and Virginia have created an oasis of fruit and palm trees! Last but not least, Jason's hospitality was unparalleled to any of our AirBnB experiences.

    Maggie2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Jason's apartment is spacious and comfortable. It has a great view of Hilo Bay and is close to several beautful places like Richardson Beach Park and Rainbow Falls. It was a perfect location for our first night on the Big Island, and we wish we could have stayed there for our whole week's visit. Jason made us feel welcome and gave lots of tips on places to see, restaurants, etc. We also appreciate his commitment to supporting 2 nonprofits and to environmentally responsible practices.

    Rae2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The house was great for a 2 nights stop in Hilo for 2 adults and 1 child. It was very spacious, clean and ideally located, just a few minutes drive to downtown and also rainbow falls. Jason was very nice and greeted us with chocolates and fresh tangerine juice. I highly recommend this place!

    Cedric2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice accomodation, very big appartment and the penetrant are very lovely people! Highly recommendable!

    Carolin2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jason welcomed us personally (the first time in this 24day trip). They have a lovely tropical garden and a (distant) ocean view. If you are looking for luxury this may not be your cup of tea. It is clean, convenient and well supplied at a reasonable price.

    James2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying here. Jason and Virginia were amazing. My friend hurt her leg and Virginia was incredibly welcoming and assisted us with finding a clinic. The place was central, very clean and cozy. Jason made us tangerine juice. What a treat. If you are looking to stay in a convenient awesome place in Hilo, look no further. Thank you so much for having us :)

    Cherie2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Jason’s and Virginia’s lower level suite. It was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Jason responded very quickly to any questions we had prior to our arrival and has a book of site seeing and restaurant recommendations that you can access should you book their suite. The suite was well located with easy access to downtown Hilo, Rainbow Falls, a nearby lava tube, and an easy hour drive to Volcanoes National Park. We would gladly stay at Jason’s again if we come back to Hilo.

    Rick2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay with Jason in their spacious downstairs apt. The apt was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. There is a charming outdoor porch to sit, with a view over the Hilo harbor

  • Place is great and Sidra is amazing host.

    Rethwik2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I had a wonderful stay in the whole cottage with the green trim. The cottage is rustic and peaceful. There are animals everywhere, and as previous guests stated they can get a little noisy but we didn't mind at all and slept right through it. The view is incredible! And the location is great, easy to get to the north part of the island and Hilo is only a 30 minute drive. The decor is adorable and we both felt at home :)

    Tonia2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at Sidra’s place for two nights and had a great time. The patio out back has an amazing view- perfect place for your morning coffee! We never met Sidra but she was still an outstanding host. Her responses were quick and she was more than willing to accommodate us. Thank you for providing the delicious coffee :)

  • Amazing place!!

    Jenni2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Sidra’s place is a perfect little cottage. It’s quiet, rural, comfortable and relaxing. Located close to a local general store cafe & bar. Highly recommended.

    Sean2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Sidra's place is really nice and well decorated! Moreover, it is perfectly located. Sidra was very responsive as well. We did not have hot water one night but she was quick at fixing the problem. We did not make use of the farm and deck as we were always on the go but we are sure it is a great plus.

    Caroline2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, serene, and off the beaten path. Waking up to a spectacular sunrise over the ocean every day was a dream.

    Katie2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was really nicely kept and decorated. It is located on a property with a farm and a couple of decks for yoga, which made for a very welcoming vibe. The cabin also has it's own deck on the east side, perfect for watching the sun rise over the ocean.

A beautiful get-away surrounded by nature! One-bedroom + loft cabin, full kitchen, bathroom, w/d, sunny lanai, on our Big Island off-grid permaculture farm. Cabin is nestled in a food forest a few hundred feet from a stunning waterfall with swimming hole in a peaceful bamboo grove. One king-size bed in bedroom, two twin beds in loft, which has a low ceiling and is accessed by steep, narrow stairs. Enjoy organic eggs & free entrance to botanical garden! Ask @ massage by waterfall & stream.
Our goal at Kulike Farm is to create an environment where people live lightly on the land, nestled among the food and medicine they need for sustenance. We strive towards energy and food independence with a great variety and abundance of edible tropical foods.
We live up mauka - towards the mountain - in a lush, green rural area between the Umauma and Hakalau Rivers. At the base of our hill is Botanical World Adventures, which has beautiful gardens and a fun zipline. Every Tuesday the nearby farmers have a delightful farmer's market in the gardens, complete with ready-to-eat food and music. Umauma Zip Line is also at the base of our hill, just to the north. We have views of both the ocean and Mauna Kea. Soft trade breezes grace us by day, and a cooler breeze blows down off the mountain in the evening. The night sky is alive with stars. Two beach parks are nearby, Hakalau and Kole Kole, fun to explore on foot but currently closed to cars. Honomu, the closest town with services (small convenience stores, cafes, gift shops and boutiques), is around 5 miles south, and here you can also visit the stunning Akaka Falls, and go on a short hike. The Papa'aloa Country Store and Cafe are 15 minutes to the north, just before Laupahoehoe, which is where you will find the closest gas station, another convenience store, an outdoor pool, small library, and beautiful beach park at Laupahoehoe Point. Hilo, which is 25 minutes south, has great restaurants, black sand beaches, museums, the University, a vibrant farmer's market, and much more.
  • Everyone has said it - I’ll say it again! It’s a fantastic space, and Rachel is super quick to answer and accommodate. I ate like a queen - the breakfast basket is stunning....I also asked for some additional food for dinner, she showed up with a bag of greens and taro and magic. There are so many touches that are spectacular and sweet. Every time I think, oh wouldn’t it be nice if there was a lamp here.....cue the lamp. Or a tiny rug? There it is. Especially in the kitchen. All the goodies. Oil. condiments. All for you. I loved it. I really hope to be back!!

    Jane2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • A magical retreat!

    Alexander2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This stay made my trip. Learning about ecological and sustainable methods of living off the land was awesome. I highly recommend taking the tour. The comfortable, well-stocked cabin was surrounded by food forests. The fruit basket and farm fresh eggs were such a treat, as was the chocolate that is made from cacao grown on site and local honey. Rachel's suggestions for food, markets, and entertainment were really great

    Dan2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Wow. What an incredibly special place. If we could go back and change something it would probably be to stay at Rachel's place for our whole trip. Do not miss out on the farm tour and the DIY breakfast. It was eye opening learning about the farm and very endearing. This made our trip to the Big Island a more authentic experience. The Forest Hale was comfortable and clean with everything we needed. We did not have any issues with bugs. Be prepared for humidity but after all you are in the rainforest. I cannot recommend this AirBnB enough.

    Abbey2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great House, great location if you are looking for peace and quiet. Mega Chill. Mahalo

    Zachary2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel's place was worth the splurge as I travelled on my own. Her place was relaxing, private, nicely decorated, roomy and so cool with its surrounding in the rainforest/farm. I had a little visiting gecko and I actually liked sleeping to the sounds of the coqui frogs and rain hitting the roof. The King size bed was comfortable. I loved having the option to do free laundry and a dryer. I highly recommend the $10 fruit basket that came with seasonal fruits grown on the farm, homemade loose leaf tea, and 4 eggs. Rachel made an excellent guidebook of recommendations of restaurants and things to do in the area. She was a quick responder and dropped by to introduce herself shortly after I checked in. There are plenty of towels including beach towels. I didn't have a chance to use the beach supplies including boogie boards and lawn chairs because it was raining a lot during the couple days I was there. The private waterfall access was the main reason I booked this place and there is a nice bamboo forest leading to it too. Remember to bring shampoo, soap, and conditioner because there isn't any included in the listing.

    Melody2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • This stay is a 30 minute drive north of Hilo, very remote (rent a Jeep!), and offers a rain forest experience. The only sounds we heard were rain and the frogs that squeak at night (don't worry, she has earplugs if you need them). We came in January when it was very rainy, but the house was cozy and the land beautiful. We took the option to get some fresh eggs and fruit and made breakfast on our own all week.

    Siri2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place was fantastic. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The farm is great. We took the tour, which was interesting and worth the money. Kids really loved the rabbits and chickens.

  • This place is amazing. The view is the best we've seen during our stay. Its on a beautiful, unbelievably green, grassy hillside, overlooking a few houses. You can see whales and fishing boats and the sunrise! Its nice being on the farm with chickens and coffee plants. Felt very serene, safe and sweet. Thanks, Sidra, for being a great host!

  • The farm is gorgeous and has an amazing view of the ocean, and the baby sheep on the nearby farm are adorable!

    Rob2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • The place was perfect for what we were looking for. A scenic view surrounded by wildlife. The open grass made for a perfect setting to burn off a toddler's late night energy. With the stunning views I found myself constantly daydreaming. On the more tropical side of the island, I appreciated the mosquito net over the bed. Certainly slept more confidently in the comfortable and secured bed. Thanks for the stay!

  • Our original booking for our trip was cancelled at the last minute due to their water main breaking. We booked Sidra's place in a rush. Therefore we were surprised that their farm was so close to Hilo (about 20 miles north). We thought we were booking closer to Waimea. But we were pleasantly surprised at how lovely their small farm is, and the location seemed to be idea to reach either the Hilo area or Waimea area. We enjoyed staying at Sidra's place immensely. They have a beautiful view of the ocean. They are a beautiful family and their small self made family farm is so lovely. We enjoyed our stay with them very much.

  • The farm stay with Sidra was great! Located on a farm up a large hill with chickens, goats and cows. Beautiful view of the ocean. We had fun walking around and had a wonderful dinner at the Country Store restaurant.

Hamakua Ocean View Private Room Magnificent ocean view! on a lychee farm. Fresh fruits available what's in season. Near Papaaloa Country Cafe with live music, museums, Laupahoehoe Point Beach Park. Private water falls, Botanical gardens, and Umauma Zip lines! About 20 minutes from Hilo and Waipio Valley!
Private room in a gorgeous spacious farm house
  • Great location to stay in while you're on the Hilo side of the big island. If you're lucky, you'll be treated to some lychee... But it's truly dependent on the season (I was treated to longan!). Small little issue with ants in the bathroom but it's a farm with sheep roaming around...Can't expect it to be the cleanest place on earth. I hope to stay here on future visits.

  • This is a beautiful hobby farm overlooking the ocean. The room is so clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows feel like a cloud! The room is separated from the rest of the house via a hallway and another door but if someone is home/the door is unlocked, it's easy to get filtered water from the outside of the refrigerator, use the microwave, or chat with Oksana. We loved eating our breakfast out on the patio overlooking the ocean. There are a lot of sheep grazing- even right outside our window! We were lucky enough to see 2 newborn baby sheep too. :) Overall this was the perfect place to rest our heads for a few nights between day trips on the east side of the island.

  • A great place to stay. Exactly as advertised. Really close to Rainbow Falls and Kaumana Caves (both highly recommended). Lots of great amenities (kitchen stuff, beach towels, extra blanket) for our 5 day stay. Located in a quiet residential area up the hill from downtown Hilo.

  • We felt so welcome! The hosts were friendly and assured us they were there for us if we needed anything. This was an amazing experience. Beautiful apartment setup, perfectly clean. We cooked our meals in the fully equipped kitchen. We were hungry when we arrived and there was food in the fridge. Parking was easy, right in the driveway. Location was perfect! We explored the whole island! Lots of free easy ideas to do nearby laid out on the table. I could go on and on. This place was perfect. We were so satisfied.

  • Danna and Jason’s place was absolutely perfect. It was so much better than we expected, especially after staying at numerous so-so airBNB’s in Oahu. The space had very thoughtful touches, every amenity you would need, was clean as a whistle (including the shower/bathroom) and was in a great location. Is a perfect jump-off location for the things to do in Hilo. We have stayed at many airBNB’s and this was one of, if not THE best.
