1st off Lloyd is one Amazing host!! He was very attentive and offered everything from a ride to get food to one of his jackets because coming from Las Vegas I didn't think about the Upstate New York chilly nights. Felt at home immediately & being able to hang out in the living room and lounge on the leather furniture was a GREAT way to end the day although there is a flat screen in the room as well. Very communicative from beginning to end via text, call & email and I really appreciated that. Very close to the bus stop & a Stewart's convenient to jump on just the one bus to take you downtown Albany. The rest of the house is beautiful and very clean I asked if he used a cleaning service! The queen bed was very comfortable and the USB charging alarm clock on the night stand was perfect to work in bed with my cell and laptop plugged in. Too bad I can't give this host more stars because I would and looking forward to returning on my next business trip to Albany.

Very much enjoyed our stay, the room was a good size and equipped with enjoyable refreshments. Lloyd was very accommodating and helpful throughout our trip. We felt incredibly welcomed and comfortable in his home.

Lloyd's house was exceptionally clean and well organized--we really appreciated all the labels and signs pointing the way to the guest bedroom and the guest bathroom. Lloyd himself was very friendly, and I recommend his home to anybody traveling in Albany.

My son and I were looking for a place to stay overnight for our visit to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His place was perfect for that purpose. Only 15 min. away from the campus. His house is located in a nice quiet residential area. We needed to arrive late and we communicated with the time of arrival via Airbnb texts. His responses were always prompt and polite. Once we arrived, I was honestly impressed by how neat and well organized the house is. (I sincerely asked him how he does it!). The room was neat as shown in the picture, with bottled water and a small coffee maker. There is a bathroom with showers designated for the guest, with shampoo, conditioner, soap, towels, and a hair dryer. If you want more coffee, there is a larger coffee maker in the kitchen area. His house is a cool house, because the lights are controlled by motion sensors so they turn on as you go. This prevents you from having to look for light switches in the dark, keeping us safe. We chat a little upon our arrival, and I found him to be such an easy-to-talk-to, very thoughtful host. If we are to visit this area, we will definitely return to his place.

I have stayed in airbnb places all over the globe and Lloyd is a uniquely great host in that he combines exceptional organization--he truly has thought of everything a guest might need and made it accessible--with personal warmth and amazing positive energy. We loved meeting him and his son, and were blown away by how easy it was to learn the house, the rules, and to find exactly the information we needed. I can't recommend Lloyd and his airbnb enough!

This was my second stay with Lloyd, and it was great to be back in a familiar place that was just as comfortable and quiet the first time I visited. I arrived a little later than expected and Anita was outside working in her garden. I immediately felt very welcomed! Her house is very cozy and clean, but more importantly Anita herself was absolutely lovely. We had some wonderful conversations and I would have enjoyed talking to her more. She had prepared a large container of cut watermelon and offered some to me. I truly loved everything about this bnb. Anita gave me plenty of space yet was very available for anything I might need. Everything about my stay was perfect!

Anita was exceptionally welcoming the second I appeared in her front lawn. She gave me a thorough tour of the house and set breakfast/coffee up each morning! The bed, pillows, & comforter were so soft and comfortable that I am investing in the same exact ones. This location was a short drive to my conference & close to a cute place called Professor Java's with good coffee & croissants. Deeply appreciate of a comfortable home with sunshine and warmth. Looking forward to next year's conference so that I may stay here again!

Anita is a very kind, attentive and gracious host, whose house with its lovely garden is a true definition of beauty, peace and serenity. The house is very tastefully decorated and is spotlessly clean. My room was very spacious, yet very cozy. I had everything I could possibly need and more - from a large selection of teas and snacks to very plush towels and even a robe! And books, so many books - truly a reader's heaven. During my short stay I enjoyed many talks with Anita - over breakfast, which she prepared for me (a completely unexpected surprise!) or an evening cup of tea. She is a very vibrant and an absolutely lovely person who made me feel welcome and at home. Staying here felt like staying at the house of a dear friend - warm, comfortable, intellectually stimulating. I hope to stay with Anita and her very sweet kitty many more times in the future.

Melanie’s place was lovely. It was exactly as advertised: charming, cozy, welcoming, and clean. There was a peacefulness and tranquility about it that really appealed to me; I felt as if I were in a home away from home. It had everything needed for a stay much longer than mine, which was just one night, and if I could have stayed longer I would have been able to settle in knowing the place provided whatever I could possibly have needed. I loved the brick walls and the hardwood floor, too. Melanie, incidentally, was always available via AirBnB messaging to answer every question I had, which also made the experience a positive one. The neighborhood had a friendly vibe, and there was a nice ice cream parlor just a block away where the visitor could sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. I make at least four trips a year to the Albany, NY, area, and Melanie’s will definitely be my choice of a place to say from now on.

When I stayed in Melanie's apartment it was my first chance to be a guest (instead of my usual role as a host). It was wonderful. Melanie was quick to reply, and communicated with ease. We finalized the details with little back and forth, which is always nice. Her apartment is charming, and clean! We only stayed one night but I can imagine spending a few nights there wandering the neighboring towns of Troy and Albany.

The apartment was absolutely perfect for our needs- equipped with standard kitchen tools (and some non-standard, like the French press), very clean and comfortable, and quite convenient for getting into downtown Albany. Melanie was a terrific hostess and provided us with outstanding freshly roasted coffee, among other goodies. We absolutely recommend this apartment and would happily return for future trips.

I can't give enough praise to Melanie and her beautiful apartment, I was just basically passing through for the night with a couple hours to check out Albany, and she directed me to the best spots (especially for my time frame). The place itself was comfy, cozy, warm! (it was a paltry degrees Fahrenheit that night), and she put out teas for the morning and more than I could have even thought. After staying there I want to return and explore that part of the country more when I can, now that I know there is a place like this around.

Robbie was a great communicator both before and after our arrival. Highly recommend him. The kitchen is nicely appointed for a place of this sort, and good linens throughout. Anyone who has problems with stairs should be aware it is a pretty steep climb up to living quarters. It was near my wife's limit, but she got along fine. This is on the outskirts of Troy, but one can be downtown in under 10 minutes by car. Worked well for us.

First off, Robbie's apartment is an absolutely palace! Second, he's such a helpful and accommodating guy taking into account real world issues that might affect your stay. Finally, Troy is a total gem! I loved this experience every step of the way!

We had a GREAT time staying at Robbie's place! We were actually in the Albany area for our wedding, and decided we wanted a nice cozy place for homebase. Robbie's place couldn't have been more perfect. It is huge, cozy, welcoming, and has all sorts of little details that made it absolutely perfect for our wedding weekend. Robbie made everything simple--from booking to communication before arrival, the whole process was easy. Robbie has a great eye for detail, from the lovely bottle of wine and assortment of snacks that was waiting for us on arrival, to the very comfy bed in the main bedroom, to the plentiful stock of water bottles and K cups for coffee. We would absolutely stay at Robbie's place again. You will not be disappointed!

Stayed at Robbie's property in Troy for 4nights. All I can say is "loved it".. Clean, well appointed, good location,safe and central to shopping and various schools. Robbie was lightening responsive to any messages I sent. I've stayed in a few Airbnbs and this did not disappoint at all! One of the best. Only "complaint".. Needs a toaster :)

From our first contact Robbie was quick to respond and went above and beyond his role as a host. The neighborhood is an established quiet family community within minutes of downtown Troy. The upstairs apartment is just as described, clean, and very comfortable. The washer and dryer were a plus! We were having local family over for dinner and I asked Robbie if there was a grill available when I booked the apt. The night we arrived there was a new gas grill on the deck. Robbie provided all the utensils needed to make dinner a success.

After spending a couple months in this home, it's going to be difficult to leave!

Cozy, quiet apartment in a quiet neighborhood.

This accommodation was spacious for us. The communication was very good with Deirdre. We had just a problem with the wifi acces but his neighbourg gave us his acces. There is a road with a lot of traffic on the front of the house.

Everything was as it said it was except the tv only had 5 channels and the wifi was really weak.. they also do not offer under or lyft around this area

Diedre was a great host! Communication was easy and they prepared an extra bed because I had an extra guest. It was very nice!

The host responded quickly and was able to accommodate us at 9pm! There are some great restaurants a block or less away and you can park right in front of the place. The Apartment is very spacious and our stay was splendid!

I had the pleasure of staying at this place for one night and it was perfect for me. It is very private and parking is available on the street. The host responds quickly to any question you may have. It is a bit outdated BUT the value makes up for that and then some. I would recommend this place to a friend. Heck, I would stay there again if I had to come back to Albany. Thank you so much!

The apartment is cozy with a comfortable bed and full equiped kitchen. There is a bus stop just in fron of the door and plenty of street parking. Comunication with Deirdre is great, she is always available to solve any problem and checking if everything is OK or if there is any need. We had a great stay.

This is the second time that I have stayed at Noah's place. When I was going to be in Albany, I didn't bother looking anywhere else. I knew exactly what I was going to get for my money. Noah offers a meticulously clean, quiet place to stay just minutes outside of the city. Everything you need is at your fingertips. If there's something you need, he's very quick to respond and take action. He is a sweet man who cares very much about his guests. It's not the Ritz-Carlton, or a 4 star Hilton. It's not meant to be. But it's all the comforts of home. And quite honestly, I've had more complaints in those kinds of places than I would ever imagine having about Noah's place -- frankly, there's really nothing I can complain about. When I'm in Albany again, there's no doubt in my mind that I'll be looking him up. 5 stars/A++++

I was in town for the Bar exam and needed a clean and quiet place to prepare and take the exam. Noah's place was just right. Noah is very nice and accommodating. Overall, the stay was wonderful!

Noah's place was perfect for our stay, we were 3 and had much more space then I expected and had air conditioning which we were happy to have. We all really enjoyed our stay.

Gregg is a great host, easy going and communicative. The room is huge and very comfortable. Excellent value for money. The location is great for walking into town and close to lots of bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

Gregg's place was very convenient and right off the highway - I will admit that at first I felt like I was driving onto a dark street off the beaten path, but it was a relief to then come into an air conditioned, quiet, and most importantly clean and safe place to stay the night in the middle of a road trip. Gregg checked in before my arrival to make sure everything was set, and parking was available on the street just outside the building. Everything was effortless.

The room was nice; it had a couch, TV, mini fridge, and shared bathroom. The neighborhood was not the nicest; sirens throughout the night, loud trucks engine braking, and some people yelling in the street. The house was very close to downtown though, so walking to breakfast/lunch was not an issue. Gregg was very nice and let me come back a few hours after I checked out because I left a water bottle in the fridge. I enjoyed the space, but not the neighborhood.

Gregg's hospitality was like no other. Anytime I needed him he was available and was very accomadating. I stayed for about a month and within that month the house remained cleaned and kept up. I had a decent sized room where it was big enough for me to set up a table to complete my work. I would definitely consider another Airbnb experience at this residence. Its a very different experience for many to live in someone else's house and this was the very first time I've done this, but a lot of the times it seemed like I had the house to myself. You don't have to worry about someone being in your business because Gregg obviously respects your privacy and has utmost respect for your personal space. He also can lead you in the right direction for a bite to eat. Plenty of restaurants in the area to quench your hunger as well. Enjoy!

Kyle, Elaine, and Marbles (their dog) were absolutely amazing hosts. Their house is really beautiful and I had a very comfortable stay. I was staying at their place temporarily, till I found a place of my own, as I was just moving to Troy. During my short stay, they ended up becoming my very first friends in Troy! The house felt like home to me. Marbles is one of the friendliest and sweetest dogs I've ever met. I would highly recommend staying at Kyle's if you are ever looking for an airbnb in troy.

Kyle and Elena were perfect hosts. We didn't see them much--mostly because we were out and about or zonked out in their comfy bed--but they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Their place is in a great location, walking distance from everything in Troy, and they were generous in letting us use their kitchen to prepare breakfast in the morning. Elena left us a long list of restaurants to try and things to do, and Marbles was probably the most loving dog ever. A great place to stay!!

It was a great place to stay at until I found a place of my own. It was comfortable and relaxing. I would recommend Noah's place to a friend or anyone plassing by and needs a place to stay. I stood for 2 weeks. The bed was super comfy.

Noah and his place were absolutely wonderful. Noah is incredibly friendly and welcoming. He gives you everything you need for a comfortable time. Noah is easy to reach and communicate with so checking in and checking out were smooth processes. The room was quaint and Noah's home as a whole was just homely. I would certainly recommend his place to anyone visiting Rennselaer or the surrounding areas and would absolutely stay there once more if I visited the area again.

We arrived after a long drive and tiring drive and were pleasantly greeted by Luis and Katie. They were extremely helpful getting us settled and giving us advice on how to spend our time in Troy. The space is beautiful and spacious. If you like historic homes and antiques this is the place to stay.

Katie's place was just what we were looking for. And even though the kitchen was under repair they had a coffee maker! And netflix!

Home was the perfect size for the 4 of us. Even the the kitchen was being renovated, the kitchenette that they provide worked great. Street parking was an adjustment for us but everything was fine with their recommendations.

Katie and Louis were great at communicating if we had any questions. They were both there when we checked in. The two-bedroom apartment was unique, with cool decor. It was within walking distance to great places to eat, grab drinks, and see the river. Katie gave us great recommendations of good places to go!

Katie is warm and responsive, and the apartment is furnished with lovely vintage pieces, and everything you need for a quick or longer stay. We used the apartment for corporate/business travel and the wifi was great, the location easy to access from downtown Troy, and the beds comfortable. I would totally stay here again!

Great Place in a Fun Location.

We loved staying at this clean, comfortable apartment. It was full of cute, interesting furnishings. Living room area was comfortable, there was a full sized dining room table, kitchenette, large bathroom, and two small bedrooms. Space enough for the three of us. They had bottled water waiting for us in the fridge, and coffee and tea and dishes to use. Nice towels and shampoo in the bathroom. Always found parking in the street in front of the house.

We heartily recommend this location. This was our first AirBnB experience and we loved it. Kierstin is an exceptional hostess. She advertises a room, but the arrangement is more like a suite. There is a sitting area in one room, a room with an iron set up to iron your clothes, a large bedroom and a very nice shower and bath. The home is immaculate. If you are a clean freak, you will be delighted!

Kierstan's room is exactly as described. The bed was very comfortable and the room was wonderfully clean and well supplied with all of the common "forgotten items." The shower had amazing water pressure as well. Plenty of street parking is available. But take her word for it on the steps. Kieratan was very easy to communicate with and arrival was easy.

Karla is a kind and considerate host. The place is roomy, charming, well appointed and close to downtown if a short walk is something you enjoy, which I do. Saturday morning there is a Farmers Market. I went early and bought food for breakfast. There were brochures and maps of the city and surrounding area available for my use. It is close to the river. There were even fireworks my first night there. I walked over to see and was just yards away from the barge. I definitely recommend this place

Karla is a gracious and helpful host who stayed up to greet me when I drove in from LaGuardia past midnight! She even "held" a parking spot for me one evening when street cleaning threatened to curtail the usually abundant street parking. Karla is readily available via text but otherwise lives in a separate part of the house and respects your privacy. The room is lovely, a good size, with a soft bed, small fridge and features that very rare AirBnB commodity, a freshly renovated, private bathroom. The entrance is separate from the main house and off of a side alley, which while not attractive in and of itself, does offer access to a pretty, private, back patio area where I enjoyed the first rays of Spring sunshine. Access is up a narrow, rather steep, wooden stairway – reminiscent of some I’d seen in Amsterdam. Fortunately it’s only one flight. The house dates back to the mid-1800’s and is very charming. Downtown Troy is virtually at your doorstep where there are myriad choices for eating and shopping. Karla provides a wide range of menus and informational brochures to browse while planning your outings. The neighborhood is generally quiet and friendly with lots of families and dog-walkers. It is “transitioning” – for the better – and sits a block away from the Washington Park neighbourhood, which features some of the most beautifully restored mansions of the 1800’s. While the Hudson River looks close on the map, it is through a slightly grittier area. I’d recommend visiting it through the downtown river walk area instead. I hope to visit again and I would definitely recommend a stay here!

Mary was a wonderful host... Easy to reach via text and always quick to address any questions we might have. Very kind and caring. We needed a place on VERY short notice, after our booking at another place fell through. The apartment itself was small and cozy, nicely decorated, and had a beautiful kitchen with enough utensils, pots and pans, etc. Being in the basement of the brownstone, it was pleasantly cool... we used the two ceiling fans and only needed the AC (window unit) once! Ceramic tile floors not only looked nice but were easy to keep clean. Wifi worked great. We didn't meet Mary in person, but she seems to be not only a wonderful host, but also an all around wonderful person!

This apartment is spacious and in a good location but unfortunately it was not cleaned prior to our arrival. The dirt, sticky residue and dog hair on every surface ruined our experience. Lack of basics such as enough towels (3 bath towels were provided for 3 people for 3 days, no hand towels or wash clothes), toilet paper and basic kitchen supplies led to even more dissatisfaction with this rental. Due to the condition of this rental we left a day early and rented a clean motel room. Host was out of the country during our stay and provided us, upon our request, with an "in case of emergency" phone number that was not local.

Great space and host! Richard was easy to communicate with and flexible. Space was more than we expected and a great value. Would stay again.
