  • We booked a last minute weekend stay with our two children (aged 7 and 5). Right from the start Julie was quick to reply to messages and was extremely helpful. The house is spotlessly clean and is really well equipped. A beautiful location and a great base for visiting lots of lovely places nearby. The hot tub was just amazing. We will definitely look to return. Highly recommended

  • Julie was a wonderful hostess. Prompt, professional and down to earth. Happy to give us the down low on local sights to see and even happy to post something I left back to me when I hadn’t even realised i’d forgotten it!

  • Had a lovely weekend here, lovely and clean. The underfloor heating was really nice, and hot tub amazing! Loved the stream at the bottom of garden. Thank you 😊

Your discrete hosting was appreciated .. allowing us to enjoy our break together but knowing you were there for our needs .. will be making this our yearly get together . Thankyou also for special touches . Thankyou

  • Julie is a wonderful host and communicator. The directions were spot on. The property is absolutely pristine. So, so clean and sparkling. So many elegant and thoughtful touches, really made us feel at home. The beds were one of the comfyest I've ever stayed in! And the hot tub, well, just the perfect addition. Thank you so much. You have a beautiful place.

    Claire2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The photos of this place don't do justice to the quality of the finish, it really is a gorgeous place. The underfloor heating was so great for the cold days and kept the place so cosy. The kitchen has everything you could need - and the host left us fresh bread, butter and milk which was lovely. There are also robes and toiletries which are such nice touches. The hot tub is AMAZING - very big and goes up to 40 degrees, we were in there on very cold nights and it was perfect. Lastly it was spotlessly clean, and the host was so warm and friendly. Highly highly recommend this place, we will definitely stay here again :)

    Lucy2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca is an excellent hostess and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We were comfortable, warm and well looked after. Breakfast was very tasty. A lovely character cottage in the heart of Somerset.

  • Welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Just 3 words to describe our Superhost Rebecca. We were invited to attend a wedding near Glastonbury at the weekend and after searching Airbnb a few weeks ago,I came across Rebecca's cottage listing. So glad we booked to stay here! From our first exchange of emails, she has been nothing short of brilliant! Lovely comfortable cottage in a quaint Somerset village. We did not feel like paying quests, we felt like long time friends invited for the weekend. Nothing too much trouble for Rebecca and breakfast on Sunday morning was like a family affair. Suffice to say, her Superhost status is well deserved! Sara and I have no hesitation in endorsing that award and would happily stay there again. Andy and Sara.

  • Rebecca is an outstanding host with the warmest welcome. The accommodation was spotlessly clean & stylish, with a delicious healthy breakfast that suited my dietary requirements. I slept super well & peacefully and hope to return. Thank you for all the thoughtful flourishes, Rebecca! X

The Old Coach House is of 19th century origins, among the many attributes of this cottage is the excellent natural light that pervades all the rooms.
This beautiful Coach House has an abundance of space for a modern family, the lounge incorporates a kitchen and dining area with stairway access to the ensuite loft bedroom which has stunning views of the Glastonbury Festival Grounds. The lounge also has double doors opening into the main bedroom which has its own snug and ensuite shower room. There is plenty of parking at the top of the drive, guests are also allowed to park in front of the house. Guests are allowed access to the 3 acres of land adorning the building.
The delightful village of Pilton lies in the Mendip Hills, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Pilton is situated in a sheltered valley with stunning views. There is a village pub, village hall, Manor House and Tithe Barn. The village also hosts the ever popular Glastonbury Festival. Neighbouring places include Shepton Mallet (Tesco/Aldi Grocery Shopping) Wells (Cathedral and weekly markets), and Glastonbury(Tor). A major highlight to our guests is that the villagers are very friendly and inclusive.
  • If you are looking for a beautiful, immaculate place to stay in Pilton, look no further. Kelly provides every comfort and amazing hospitality. We traveled with our two adult children to see friends and family in the village. The Old Coach House was perfect for us. The house is very spacious and has areas for entertaining and relaxing. The kitchen is well stocked with all the housewares needed to cook and serve meals including several ways to make coffee! The bathrooms and showers are deluxe. In addition to the washer, there is a dryer which was a very pleasant surprise as often houses have one but not the other. If you are traveling to Pilton for the first time, rely on Kelly for great information about the village and the area. The 20 minute or so walk between the Old Coach House and the village pub is along a lovely lane. You can see Glastonbury Tor in the distance and the green Mendip hills all around you. Kelly and her family made us feel very welcome from the minute we checked-in to when we reluctantly said our goodbyes to our new friends who feel like family. We travel to Pilton often and we look forward to staying at the Old Coach House again and again.

    Tina-Marie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly's place is great, very spacious and clean. It is in a good location and the grounds are very quiet and peaceful. The cottage is very warm when heated and cosy. The Wi-fi works well and it has Sky TV. Kelly is a good host, she was quick to come back with answers to my questions and was very accommodating. Glastonbury and Street are only about 20 mins drive away and cities such as Bath and Bristol are easy for day trips. I would definitely recomend it to anyone looking to stay around the Glastonbury area.

    Suzie2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks so much kelly Great venue for the wkend to song-write together. Thanks again

    Laura2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at The Old Coach House. The space was really peaceful, spacious and clean. We particularly enjoyed Kelly's quick response to our communication and her thoughtfulness around local recommendations. Thank you!

    Katherine2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Had a fantastic few days here, highly recommend! Pictures don't do it justice, this is a really large space for a group of friends/couples/family, nice little kitchen area, comfortable sofas/beds and sky tv for movies. Also set in a nice area of rural Somerset for walks but not too far from supermarket. Will definitely return!

    Josh2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly is an amazing host who will respond to any request promptly. Very clean and with everything you will need. I actually thought the place was even nicer than the pictures show, plenty of space for a large family, we will definitely come back.

    Keira2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly is very kind and welcoming. The property is an annex of her home, so she is close by if need be but as it is so large we had plenty of privacy. Her place was very comfortable for us, a family of 4. Our children could do at least 10 forward rolls in a row in the living room! It's within 30 minutes' drive of Longleat and the Cheddar Gorge, and after a day out (in the cold - it was December) we looked forward to retreating to the house and bingeing on Sky TV. We had an amazing time. Thank you!

    Johanna2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly could not have been more helpful. The place is lovely and HUGE. We will definitely go back if we are in the area.

  • Everything was as expected from description. Spotlessly clean, stunning location. Lovely private hot tub. We really enjoyed our weekend here. Would have liked to have stayed longer two nights was not enough. A great place to unwind.

    Dawn2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here in February when it was cold and wet and it was perfect. The underfloor heating, lovely light through large windows and evening hot tub dips meant we could happily go off to explore in the day knowing we had warmth and luxury waiting for us. Lots of space for our party of 4 (inc. kids) with open plan living area so we could spend quality time together. Very private so no worries about noise from us or neighbours. Beautiful countryside surroundings. Highly recommended to explore this lovely part of the UK.

    Helen2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here. Really lovely location and lots of privacy. The hot tub was great and very easy to operate. The kitchen was very well stocked. Would definitely go back!

  • What a beautiful place to stay which is really great value for money. The accommodation is very comfortable, cosy and really well equipped. The views are beautiful and the hot tub was clean. A lovely place to relax and explore the surrounding countryside. The hosts were friendly and live close by so would be around if we needed them. Highly recommend, we will definitely be staying again.

    Victoria2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a place! The pictures dont even do the size and extents of this place justice. The host was there to greet us however there is a key safe and we were left in complete privacy after this. There is plenty of space for parking on a nice tarmaced drive which is great after the country roads. The barn is absolutely enormous the windows stretch right to the roof which is like a beautiful old chapel. The space is beautifully decorated and furnished and caters for every need you can think of. The two by far best features are the under floor heating in every single room which can be controlled to set the temperature just right in each room including the bathroom. The second the the spacious hot tub, having been in hot tubs previously I must say this is by far the best at retaining heat providing you follow the advice and keep it covered when not in use. At night the silence is amazing and in the hot tub the privacy is clear where all you can hear is the occasional own hooting. Overall the experience was brilliant and I fully recommend to anyone looking to book in the area.

    Ryan2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • The barn is finished to a high standard with lovely underfloor heating. Hot tub is very private and has gorgeous views. Gorgeous!

A beautiful luxury pet friendly property with stunning views , underfloor heating, a king size bed and many considerate touches & up-cycling from providing holiday rentals since 1996. The Cowshed was renovated to top spec autumn 2017. 5 mins from Wells close to Glastonbury & Bruton, 40 mins from Bath - the ultimate couples getaway retreat
A rural location ideal for walks, pub visits, culture and unwinding. Ideal at all times of year.
  • If you want seclusion, peace (bar the odd ‘moo’ from the cow shaped neighbours) and a fantastic getaway, then the Cowshed is a brilliant choice. The kitchen is well equipped for home cooking (which we did on night 1) and Wells offers plenty of restaurant or takeaway choices. Just be aware no one delivers so don’t get in your PJ’s too early if you’re after a lazy night in. My Fiancé and I had a wonderful time with our puppy, walking in the hills and just relaxing on the cosy sofa. Definitely take walking boots. Wi-Fi is great and works for streaming sites and I had full signal the whole time from EE (so maybe worth turning your phone off if you want total peace)! Would highly recommend!

    Ryan2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Unique and beautiful bolthole in a truly idyllic setting. We would definitely like to visit again (or move there!) Thanks so much, Isobel and Stephen

  • Sebastian and Lizbeth's place is the perfect place for a romantic getaway. The Cowshed is beautifully designed, has everything you could possibly need and the views are stunning. Hosts are warm and helpful. It was an absolutely perfect stay in every way.

    Surraya2019-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Cow Shed is a delightful retreat and Sebastian has made the place as wonderful as I was expecting it to be. It was lovely to be woken up by the sounds of the birds in the morning as well as opening up the blinds to see such a beautiful view of the rolling Somerset hills below. The Cow Shed was presented in a great condition and was incredibly clean. Don't expect the wifi to be city-like but that's just fine with me as I didn't go to the countryside to watch films and tv! It had everything you could need in the kitchen, and the White Company toiletries and locally-sourced welcome package were really lovely additions. If you want a break away from the city life, and a great base to explore the Somerset and Dorset area (I visited Wells, Glastonbury, Frome, Bridport, Lym Regis and West Bay!) Thank you Sebastian!

    Farah2019-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Book and relax. The pre airbnb arrival worries soon dissipate within minutes. Take food and drink for at least your first evening because you won't want to leave to sit inside a pub. Fab view from sofa, bed, bath and kitchen table. Loved watching the cows having fun across the way. Tinto, the springer spaniel and we had the best sleep.... keep the curtains open for the most magical dawn. Download O.S. Map App, if you haven't already, walk from the Cow Shed and explore the area for miles to make that bottle of cider taste even better...

    Sylvia2019-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • This renovated cowshed is a countryside idyll. It could have been renovated yesterday- it is so fresh and clean. We loved the little touches on arrival - like a pot of chocolates and a loaf of fresh bread. Really well stocked kitchen. All you need for a short break away. We could spend hours just enjoying the fabulous views. Was lovely to meet and chat with Sebastian as well. Highly recommend a walk around the Glastonbury festival site if you have a dog and are Glasto geeks like us! We will almost certainly be back.

    Rebecca2019-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Beautifully stylish space with everything you could ever need. Functional and aesthetically pleasing, you will not be disappointed! Wonderful views and great easy going hosts. Will be back!

  • What a lovely place! It is very quaint, set in beautiful countryside and has lots of amenities nearby. The place was all ready when we arrived, as described and spotless. Dee communicated and we knew we could contact her if we needed anything. We had a great time visiting Cheddar and Wells. There is lots of choices of places to eat and drink nearby. We will definitely book again!

  • A wonderful cosy retreat, and Dee and her family are the perfect hosts.

  • I wish I could keep the Piggery my secret place, but I like Dee and her family too much to not write a review! Dee was an incredibly kind and generous host and the Piggery was the perfect place for my two week R&R. The interior is light and beautiful and I loved my view of the apple orchard and surrounding countryside. It is also very close to Glastonbury. This was my second stay in the Piggery and I'm already looking forward to going back again!

  • We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed it. The space was peaceful, quiet and in a lovely location tucked away in the countryside close to Glastonbury. Everything we needed was catered for and Dee provided prompt and helpful responses to questions. The views over the peaceful countryside are beautiful and the air is wonderfully fresh, especially first thing in the morning. We loved the warm, cozy and comfortable space and will absolutely stay there again on any future visit to the area.

    Riga2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • We really had a great stay at Dee’s place, which is ideally located for Glastonbury, Wells, Bruton and Shepton Mallet. The Piggery is in a fabulous spot, very private with views across the farmland, we were lucky enough to see the lambs grazing right outside our door. Dee is a great host, really friendly and making sure we had everything we needed, including some great restaurant suggestions. Our dog was welcomed by all the family and most importantly we could relax! Thank you for a lovely, friendly welcome, great tips on where to go and for making sure we had everything we needed. We will be back Dee!

  • A really charming and peaceful location, 3 minute walk to Pennard House if you are attending an event there. Lovely to wake up and all you can hear are the birds. We loved the stay here and enjoyed 2 nights without the telly too! Super shower, bedding, heating if you need it and the small kitchen great for knocking up a meal or two.

  • Cottage is situated down a country lane in a peaceful location. We arrived end of November, with frosty , cold days. Cottage was adequately heated, with hot water always available. Very comfortable beds, with clean linen and towels. The only slight difficulty was the postcode. The correct postcode is shown on booking receipt from Airbnb. We did make Andrew aware of this. Would certainly use again.

  • We had a wonderful time at the cottage. It’s a beautiful location with lots of local towns to visit and a really good farm shop off the main road. The cottage is rustic and homely with a lovely wood burner which we used every evening! Thanks for having us!

    Shepton Mallet, Somerset, United Kingdom

Beautiful, 400 year old Grade II listed stone bakers cottage, in the picturesque and peaceful Somerset village of Pilton, nr Shepton Mallet. The cottage has been lovingly and sympathetically renovated through 2017, and is now available for occasional holiday rental. The perfect bolt hole for 2, with super comfy king size bed, squashy velvet sofa and wood burning stove, this really is the place to be to enjoy a cosy time away with a loved one (and your dog!)
The cottage is set back from a quiet little road in the village of Pilton. When you come in the front door from the little cottage front garden, you’ll be greeted by a lovely little lounge, with original flagstone flooring. There’s a tv, WiFi, Sonos speakers and Alexa if you want your tech, and boho-chic colours and styling with a wood burner and a soft sofa and vintage comfy arm chair if you just want to kick back and relax. The lounge is so peaceful, getting the afternoon sun in through the little window, and staying cool in summer with the stone flooring, yet you can stoke it up nice and cost for those winter evenings with the wood burner !. The kitchen is through the doorway off the back of the lounge - all recently refurbished. We love to cook, so we’ve provided almost everything you could think of in the kitchen to make your stay easier !. There’s an induction hob, electric fan oven and microwave, and a small fridge freezer. You’ll also find a nespreso machine and a couple more sonos speakers if you fancy music and coffee (although please bring your own coffee pods!). There is a small bathroom, with an electric shower over the bath. The light above the mirror will come on automatically when it detects movement after dusk, to help you navigate the cottage at night!. Through the back door in the kitchen, you can access the fully enclosed rear garden. There’s a patio set, and lighting for using the outdoor space at night. (Although be sure to keep the lights off when star-gazing ! - the village has no street lights, so there is hardly any light pollution - the Pilton stars are hence amazing !) Upstairs at the cottage is 1 bedroom with a lovely comfy king size bed. There’s a little desk and chair if you have work or makeup to do (!) - and a comfy little armchair if you want to sit by the window upstairs and read.
Pilton is quiet ! - and there are no streetlights !. The village pub is a few minutes walk up the lane, and there’s a rechargeable torch by the door to take with you if you go out after dark. The Crown ( https://thecrowninnpilton.wixsite.com/mysite ) serves food till 9 most nights, worth a call to check in advance. It's basic pub grub, but you'll get a friendly welcome and a good local pint (of cider!). Pilton Working Mens Club is also in the village, and open to all. They have bands/events on most weekends, and the "Emerging Talent Competition" for Glastonbury Festival is often on on Saturday nights. http://www.piltonvillage.co.uk/village/pwmc/ The village itself is beautiful. Spend some time wandering the lanes and checking out the old stone houses set back from the roads. You have some fab country walks round the outskirts too, if you head down Hitchen Hill from our front door, you're on Worthy Farm. You'll see plenty of dog walkers and amblers out and about if the weather is nice. (Stick to the paths on the farm though please, remember this is a working dairy farm). Also in the village - the Tythe Barn, St John The Baptist's Church, and Pilton Methodist Church - all worth a look. Further afield - Glastonbury, Wells, Shepton Mallet, Cheddar - this list goes on - we've written about some good places to go in the guide you'll find in the cottage. Country pubs and little local somerset places in abundance....
  • The Cottage is lovely. The owners have made the placve their own with things that they love and have kindly let others in to share. It's a wonderful space for a couple and with touches like sonos it adds to the atmosphere. Communications with Darren and Nic was superb throughout. THe kitchen is one of the best equipped for a rental we have seen. Highly recommended.

  • We had a wonderful stay in this beautifully restored cottage. Warm and welcoming, we arrived for a Christmas get away to a house with a thoughtfully constructed Christmas tree and an array of small gifts! Definitely ranks as the best AirBnb experience I have ever had.

    Jamie2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a fab little cottage! Great location to explore lots of Somerset. It has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts are excellent too, very quick to reply when I had any questions. Highly recommend.

    Nikki2019-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • This cute and cosy cottage is a perfect idyllic get away. With an enclosed front and back garden it was perfect for the dog. The kitchen is so well equipped-you will not want for anything if cooking up a meal after a long walk. The cider that was kindly left by Darren went down well! I loved the stylish touches in the cottage and the wood burning fire was a perfect way to end the day on this cold weekend.

The Loft is located in the middle the of Glastonbury Festival site and has great views of the famous Glastonbury Tor. This apartment is ideally located for people wanting to visit the festival grounds, the Bath and West show ground, Glastonbury, Wells or Bath.
Sleeping four, our luxury loft apartment has one double bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge. The bedroom has a TV, storage space and hanging space for clothes. There is a shower room with organic toiletries and sumptuous towels. The kitchen has a dishwasher, fridge, ceramic 2 ring hob and a combination microwave/grill. The lounge has the sofa bed, a large modern dining area, a large screen TV, a DVD player and a bluetooth speaker for you to enjoy your own music. There is wifi and central heating throughout the apartment and the glass front door and two large roof lights let in an amazing amount of natural light making it a light, warm and airy space. The apartment comes with crisp linen and is perfect for those looking to experience the Glastonbury Festival site both during and outside of the festival period. At ground level there there is access to a patio area with garden furniture for you to enjoy the countryside views. The Loft is situated in the middle of a working farm away from the road with green fields and peace and quite. The views and sunsets are pure magic.
We live on one of the largest farms in Somerset which is used entirely as part of the Glastonbury Festival site during the end of June. There are lovely walks which you can do at any time of year, which can take in some of the permanent structures like the Pyramid stage, and the Stone Circle. There are paths that are suitable for walking, cycling or buggies. There maybe a little farm traffic but basically we live with no noise and no neighbours.
  • Debbie is a great host and makes you feel very welcome and at home. It’s a lovely and clean apartment to stay in with thoughtful touches such as fancy breakfast cereals, eggs and milk and luxury products in the bathroom. Excellent location being in the Glastonbury festival sight and short drives to Wells, Glastonbury town, the Tor and Cheddar Gorge. At times there can be potent farm smells but you can buy a pack of incense sticks from Glastonbury in most shops!

    Laura2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie’s place is lovely and clean. My Mum, two sisters and I stayed there for the weekend. We loved the little touches such as home made bread, fresh unpasteurised milk and organic jam. The Loft was spotlessly clean. We had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay.

    Andrea2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Generous host very welcoming and looked after our every need. Beautiful Loft on a working farm. Furnished to a high standard. Lovely finishes touches including fresh bread, milk and eggs on arrival. Fantastic location, not far from Glastonbury Village, The Tor and the Chalice Well Gardens. A traditional style hand-built bow-top wagon. Romantic, cosy hide-away for 2 (plus either an additional adult or 2 small children). Beautiful views. Central village location. Easy transport access & parking. Use of garden and shower room. ** SPECIAL OFFER ** When booked in conjunction with the main Cottage as part of a group booking, special discounts apply !!
Sleeping in a Gypsy Wagon is on many people's 'Bucket List'. This traditionally styled, hand-crafted work of art was built in 2013 using items that in part date back over 100 years, as well as using new wood for the caravan frame and hand-bent green ash for the shape. It is lovingly fitted both inside and out, including a small pot-bellied wood stove. Although it has 240v supply if needed, all lighting is 'off-grid' using solar led or batteries. As this is self-catering, you will need to provide all meals. A 'starter pack' of tea/coffee/sugar/milk/biscuits is provided. A light breakfast of bread, butter and cereals are provided only. Everything else is self-catering. There is no shop in the village, so if other items are required for your arrival, this needs to be pre-arranged with us. We know how tiring long journeys can be : )
Nestled in the heart of one of the most spiritual areas on the planet, Pilton has a history dating back to at least Roman times, and has a rich collection of listed buildings. It is often described as a 'chocolate-box' village with beautiful walks and scenery. Glastonbury is 6 miles away with it's Tor, famous Abbey and waters, and Wells is 5 miles - an historic city with magnificent Cathedral and Bishop's Palace. The Somerset Levels are an amazing place for nature walks, cycling and bird watching famous for it murmurations of starlings. The St Michael ley line meanders through the garden, across to the majestic Church, which prior to the reformation was secondary to Glastonbury Abbey.
  • WE LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Such a gorgeous, cute, quirky wagon and the most beautiful garden! The perfect little getaway, a local pub at the top of the road with lush ale, Glastonbury a very short drive away... just wonderful. And and Sandy are both so lovely too and were so sweet - balloons and cake. Such thoughtful touches. A "weekend" away we so needed, thankyou. We can't wait to go back! Xxx

    Collette2019-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • We felt VERY welcome and at home with Andy and Sandy! There were 3 of us girls and we were volunteering all week with kids so we were pretty exhausted every eve but Andy and Sandy made our week as easy as possibly, blessed us many times with their generosity and kindness, needless to say we'll be going back again, even if just for cuppa and a Catch up! Their garden is beautiful, plants everywhere and a little stream running through it, quite ideal! They are very relaxed and easy going and would probably go the extra mile to make your stay as enjoyable as possible! I highly recommend these guys!

    Jaz2016-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Andy and Sandie, we had the most wonderful weekend, thank you for sharing your gypsy wagon, garden and magic with us xx

    Claire2016-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying in Andy and Sandy's fabulous bow top caravan. The caravan is beautiful, cosy and set in a gorgeous picture postcard cottage garden. Andy and Sandy were lovely, helpful, accommodating, and full of positive energy. Pilton is a pretty village in a wonderful part of England, we would certainly recommend it.

    Christin2016-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most amazing few days in Pilton Paradise. We arrived on the Saturday morning to a lovely clean caravan, complete with little pot of milk for our little kettle! Andy met us afterwards to give us a grand tour and talk us through everything. It was so much better than we had expected - we had access to the whole of their gorgeous garden, complete with fire pit and lots of seating. It was lovely at night with all of the fairy lights on! During the few days we explored the local area - we managed to accidentally go during the Pagan festival of Beltane which was absolutely incredible, and we would highly recommend anyone going if your May Day bank holiday is free - we even managed to see Michael Eavis driving around in his Landrover! Andy and his wife were incredibly welcoming, we got on so well, we really didn't want to leave! We've still got a list of things we didn't manage to do so we will definitely be back!!!

    Heather2016-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • We wanted an Easter weekend break and this was just perfect. Andy and Sadie were perfect hosts and couldn't have been more accommodating. It was a beautiful wagon, on wonderful gardens and in a lovely area. My two little girls had an Easter egg hunt and they absolutely enjoyed it. Thank you for making our weekend magical - we loved it and will be back ;)

  • Gillian’s space is a perfect little hideaway and just what I needed after a long weekend. I genuinely couldn’t have asked for more in terms of communication, cleanliness and amenities. The location is also beautiful. They don’t give an option to rate your host but Gillian definitely gets five stars! Wonderfully attentive and helpful but also left me to do my own thing which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend a stay here and will definitely return.

  • Pilton Hill Camping is very highly recommended if you want to get away from the main festivities onsite at Glastonbury. 5 of us stayed here for the week (2015) in a tent as well as two other family members in a camper van and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The clean, hot showers were amazing (perfect pressure and temperature and plenty of room). Toilets were kept clean every day (thanks to Paddy and his lovely family) and a map was provided courtesy of our hosts daughter so we were able to find our way around really well. We will definitely use this camp site again.

  • Jenny's place is absolutely beautiful. We stayed at The Linhay for a wedding at nearby Pennard House and in the end walked the brief 25 minutes there on foot as it was so easy. The house is sparkling clean and really comfortably furnished - we found the bed super comfy and the huge selection of books and DVDs perfect for unwinding after a day travelling. The garden area for guests is beautiful and we loved sitting there to take in the surroundings. The kitchen has everything you'd need and Jenny was really kind in leaving milk, bread and jam out for us, alongside cider and one morning, a bowl of raspberries from the garden. If we are ever in Somerset again we would stay in a heartbeat! Places like this make Airbnb brilliant. Thank you!

  • This has to be one of our favourite Airbnbs that we've stayed at. Bright and airy and so stylishly furnished - it was a treat to be there. Thoughtful touches like bread and ciders for our arrival were lovely and the big TV, lots of books and a great speaker system also made our stay. Great info on things to do in the local area. We also didn't really get a chance to use it but there was a lovely area of the garden specifically for Linhay guests with a beautiful view - the dining table at the Linhay also has a beautiful view. We had the most comfortable and relaxing stay and would 100% return - 2 nights was not enough!

  • Outstanding little gem set in the beautiful Somerset countryside. The location was perfect for my little family to visit Wells, Glastonbury, Longleat Safari and Cheddar Gorge and local National artist properties. The teepee itself had everything you would need for a comfy glamping stay. It really was home from home and spotlessly clean as well as beautiful . Needless to say we didn't want to come home! X

Unique and stylish modern Airstream conversion hidden in the idyll of the Somerset countryside. Immersed in nature, stunning views. One double bed, a seating / table area that converts into a second double, with open plan kitchen and woodburner & gas cooker. Outdoor shower room and loo newly built. A tranquil and comfortable retreat. Set off the road it is a 5 min walk to Pennard House wedding venue. Nearby towns such as Glastonbury and Wells, Castle Cary (main line train to London) and Bruton.
An inspirational 1953 Airstream, at 30foot, the longest ever made. It was restored in 2013 and featured on George Clarks Amazing spaces,
This is a unique rural village, exceptionally peaceful with friendly neighbours.
  • We chose to see in the new year at this lovely airstream caravan. With the wood burning stove going AND an electric heater it was incredibly toasty in there. We brought a fire pit for outside too so we could see the stars (albeit quite cloudy over the course of our stay, still lovely to be immersed in nature!) this place is great for a cosy winter getaway, with fabulous walks all around, but I can imagine amazing in the summer especially. Thanks to Venetia’s dad, Martin, for being on hand during our stay and for local tips.

  • Do this - you will not regret it & you will come away having had fun, rested and relaxed having stayed in one of the best places . It’s beautiful , has great facilities and is in a stunning location within easy reach of places to visit on adventures . We had everything we and our dog needed. It’s quirky but so lovely. Warm shower , comfy bed and a lovely fire pit fire under the stars - we cooked jacket spuds in the pit & it was the best .

Set in Pilton, Somerset (the home of Glastonbury festival). There is a pub, shop (opens summer 2020), a village club & for children a skate park, playground & many open spaces within a short walk of the house. We are only 2 miles from Shepton Mallet & the Bath & West show ground & 5 miles from Glastonbury & the beautiful city of Wells. The long house is a lovely old house but is on 3 floors with steep chairs & some uneven floors. Please bear this in mind if mobility is an issue for you.
The long house is set in the heart of Pilton, Somerset. Pilton is a very quiet rural village (except when the festival is on). It has a friendly welcoming and very safe atmosphere.
  • A large 7 bedroom house with plenty of bathrooms, good size kitchen / dining room, and a comfy lounge with a great log burner.

    Colin2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • I recommend this accommodation if you have a large group, we were a group of 15 and the accommodation was easily big enough

    Kevin2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent house for a big get together. It has everything you could possibly need. Gordon is so friendly and helpful. We loved our weekend away here. There were 7 of us and it didn’t feel overcrowded at all.

    Nadia2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Gordon's house. There was 9 of us plus two babies and we felt we had plenty of space. It's an old creaky house but it was warm, full of character and we enjoyed using the Aga and the wood burner. Would recommend.

    Joseph2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely family home with lots of space. Great location and perfect for Glastonbury. Gordon met us when we arrived and showed us round. Kindly left basic provisions and a box of chocolates. We would certainly consider staying again.

    Simon2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • The Long House was perfectly charming for a weekend break with family. The living space was the right size and really sociable. Gordon was a fab host, meeting us there and showing us round and sending tips and hints of things to do whilst in Pilton. We visited Glastonbury Frost Fest which was just brilliant in everyway. We’d certainly stay again.

    Eve2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Gordon's place was great. Although he was unable to be there when we arrived he made excellent arrangements with a local to let us in. The place is full of character and and while homely didn't feel like you were invading someone else's home! Excellent supply of interesting books and games to enjoy! There were lots of thoughtful touches like flowers in the rooms and some chocs. Thank You.

    Helen2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place was an amazing find. We were looking for somewhere to stay so we could watch the Glastonbury Carnival, location was brilliant. Our party of 10, equal mix of adults and children loved this property, it had a homely and relaxed feel. On arrival the host met us and took us on a tour and explained everything we needed to know. The house is well equipped with everything you need. Extra touches like cheese and fresh milk in the fridge were an added bonus. The house had beautiful flowers dotted around and there is an abundance of things to look at and use. (Huge chest full of board games, musical instruments and other curiosities) The kitchen has everything you need, the aga was a new experience but don’t let this sway you, there is also an electric hob and an all singing all dancing microwave. The house is over 3 floors and as it states the stairs are steep so not suitable for everyone but these didn’t cause our party a problem, the youngest guest was 6yrs old. I would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful, big, six bedroom house in the middle of Pilton with a large garden and dining terrace. Perfect for a family getaway and lots of lovely places to visit close by. We have a big field, swings, large trampoline, football goals, table football and table tennis. There's a children's play park and skate park a short stroll away as well as a tennis court and great walks.
Nearby places to visit include the beautiful, historic town of Wells. We are also very near to Glastonbury and Wooky Hole, Longleat, Stourhead and there are at least three other National Trust properties nearby. Bath and Bristol are both a forty minute drive away. We are an hour from the Dorset coast where you can visit places like Lyme Regis and Burton Bradstock. There are good outdoor and indoor pools in nearby Shepton Mallet, Street and Wells.
  • An absolutely amazing place to stay, the pictures dont do it justice! A group of 12 of use stayed for the weekend for caving and a night of BBQing. Everyone had a great time and the house was an excellent place to have as a base. I would honest recommend this place to anyone looking to visit the Mendips or surrounding area.

  • Harriet’s Place was perfect. It is such a lovely house with lots of space and a gorgeous garden. It was clean and tidy with amazing interiors. Thank you so much for letting us use your dream home for our groomsmen and wedding guests. Harriet’s communication was amazing, I would definitely recommend.

  • Harriet, you have an AMAZING home! We attended for the weekend for my mums surprise 70th birthday and my sister had her 31st birthday to celebrate also. There was no concern with an earlier check in, directions were clear and the maps harriet sent were very helpful. Harriet have a number of ideas where we could go for food/ activities during the weekend. The house is very big and very beautiful. They have a children’s play room with a vast array of toys for ages aprox 2-12. The kitchen is huge the gardens are well looked after. We did have some trouble using the aga, followed instructions but it just seemed to take a long time to heat- never the less this didn’t stop us as we got the BBQ out in the rain. Everyone enjoyed themselves and my first AirBnB was a success. Thank you for all your help ensuring things went smoothly! Hannah

  • What a lovely stay we had. The house is indeed big and beautiful, with plenty of space for family time or solitude. Everything was wonderfully clean and there was plenty of bedding and ‘basics’. Particularly great if you have good weather when you visit as the gardens are gorgeous and plentiful. Everyone had fun with the stilts and foozeball table! Good for kids and adults alike.

A delightful 15thC Grade II listed character cottage, set in mature gardens, in the middle of THE pretty Glastonbury Festival village. Bringing a wealth of history, with exposed beams, oak flooring & an oak staircase, stone mullion windows. The Cottage itself sleeps up to 8 people. We also have a Traditional Bow Top Wagon to rent separately, with a double & a single bed. Please see our other listing for more information. Please note: it is not a 'Play space'. No unsupervised children .
Welcome to our home. It's a spacious, quaint, cosy old building with 2ft thick walls, and you may have to duck in a couple of doorways. The ceiling heights are fine though. There is an electric hob cooker with oven, a microwave, a fridge, a washing machine and a slimline dishwasher. The Cottage has 3 double beds, and therefore the number of people it sleeps assumes two people are sharing each bed. Please book according to how many Bedrooms you will need, and if needed contact us in advance to ask. We ask you to confirm who's coming to our home. The 3rd bed is on a beautiful oak mezzanine floor in the eaves, which is curtained across. It has it's own toilet & wash basin. The 4th bedroom is the dining room, which has an occasional single day bed and a further pull out single bed. Both beds have proper single mattresses, so they are as comfortable as a std bed. However, if these are booked then use of the dining room will be restricted or not available. There is a Travel cot available, but own bedding must be supplied. Please book in advance if needed. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, and all hot water and heating is on a combi boiler. There is a very efficient log burner. There are plenty of books and dvd's, to relax to. The cellar is strictly off limits as it is not safe, wet and slimy. For those alternatives amongst you, the St Michael ley line meanders through the garden. Sit and enjoy the peace listening to the babbling water in the pond.
Pilton has a history dating back to Roman times, and has a rich collection of listed buildings. It is often described as a 'chocolate-box' village with beautiful walks and scenery. Glastonbury is 6 miles away with it's Tor, famous Abbey and waters, and Wells is 5 miles - an historic city with magnificent Cathedral and Bishops Palace. The Somerset Levels are an amazing place for nature walks, cycling and bird watching famous for it murmurations of starlings. Bath, Bristol, Stone Henge, Wookey Hole & Cheddar Gorge are all short drive away. There is a pub in the village, The Crown, a few minutes walk away.

  • Easy to find , plenty of parking. Real character cottage, loads of room. Was very clean and had everything you need also tea coffee butter etc provided. It was like sharing a home for the stay as opposed to simply stating in a house. Would highly recommend.

  • Such a wonderful home, so thankful for Andy to welcome us all into his home. Had everything we needed, in such a beautiful setting. Couldn’t recommend staying here enough. And a short walk to the Glastonbury site for a New Year’s Day wall!

  • Thank you for having us. The cottage was cozy and most importantly for me it was super clean 😃 I wish we’d had longer to explore so we’d love to stay again. Thank you for stopping by before we left to check that we’d had a good stay and your generous offer of a later check out. Best wishes for Christmas from all of us x

  • Couldn’t of asked for a better host in Andy. Extremely welcoming and warming and even went the extra mile when we needed help. The house itself was very clean with a nice homely feel to it.
