Our favorite AirBnB experience so far! We couldn't have asked for a more sacred space for a Maine staycation and a little unwinding. It was a perfect fit... we didn't ever want to leave! Not only does the treehouse offer wonderful views, but there are canoes available for fun adventures in the estuaries. In between jobs, we were able to venture out to Reid State with the complimentary State Park pass no problem! :) We can't wait to go back!

Staying here was a huge treat for us. We were looking for a quiet place to relax and reset and this was exactly that. The tree dwelling was very clean and had everything we needed. Marsha's recommendations she had listed were spot on as well. Can't wait to come back!

We had a great stay. The place is super cozy and comfortable. I only have two very minor comments - the king bed is actually two single beds pushed together (it was very comfy though) and sometimes the water tasted/smelled/looked weird.

The Tree Dwelling is, in short, amazing. What a great structure and great idea. Well done, Marsha! For my wife and I this place was kind of a compromise between camping and getting a cabin. And it could not have been more perfect. The design and thought that has gone into this place is spectacular. Simple yet modern. Small yet spacious. Marsha made our arrival and departure super easy and was in touch with all the right information right on time, every time. And our canoe rental couldn't have been more enjoyable and easy, thanks again to Marsha. For those thinking about visiting the Bath area this is an excellent location and makes for easy adventures to Reid and Popham and into Bath and Brunswick as well. We will be back, and couldn't recommend this retreat more.

Very private and quiet with wonderful views even lying in the super comfy king sized bed. The rooms are small but a plus when it is cold outside because they warm up quickly with the heater. Went for a lovely kayak in the warm sun. We had a great time.

Our stay at Phil and Erica's house was wonderful. They are very welcoming hosts. The house is cosy and quiet. The bedroom and the bathroom are clean and fragrant. Phil did everything to make us feel at home. He also helped us navigate Waterville and find good places to eat and shop. Sophie is a charming little doggie who hung out with us for a little while. It was sweet. We absolutely recommend staying in Phil and Erica's house.

Great place, clean, comfy room, kitchen with lots of food. Phil and Erica are amazing hosts and are very sociable and fun to talk with. And their dog, Sophia, is one of the cutest dogs I’ve ever met!

Great hosts and close to restaurants. Unity college 25 minutes away. Made us feel very welcome in their home, even had a campfire with neighbors.

Wow. This was an exceptional stay. The lodgings were excellent and exactly as advertised. This is a clean, comfortable room in a beautiful, welcoming home. Very convenient to both downtown Waterville and Colby campus. But what makes these lodgings truly stand out are the incredible hosts, Phil and Erica. The hospitality I received from this delightful couple was nothing short of extraordinary. It was like visiting family. From the easy conversation to the prompt and helpful text message communications, from the constant offers of food and local suggestions to the evening spent together around the backyard fire pit with family and friends,... This is an fantastic place in great location. Stayed here for 3 nights with my fiance on our first trip to Maine. Excellent layout, privacy, decor and super clean. Everything is as described. Our stay was super comfortable and Simon communicated everything to make sure the entire experience was smooth and convenient. He even recommended a ton of places to check out which was very thoughtful and helpful. Great location in downtown Brunswick close enough to Portland, Freeport, Bath, Harpswell, etc to serve as a base to explore a large portion of Maine. This is a superb value as well and I highly recommend it.

I stayed at Simon and Sam’s Little House on Lincoln St. and I am so glad I did. The location was perfect and the place was even better than the pictures. It’s newly renovated and very clean. I was there for three nights and was able to visit a nice restaurant each night. Great area and so tranquil. I could recommend a better place. Book with confidence! Scott

My mother, grandmother, godmother, dog, and I very much enjoyed our stay at the home. Having the deck with the view of the river was a great way to end our evenings and we were able to visit Boothbay, Freeport, Popham beach, and Kennebunkport very easily. Bath was a quaint town and we would come back. There isn't AC in the home but there was plenty of windows and fresh air and fans. Thanks for letting us use your home.

Great place to stay. Very relaxing. Bath is fun, quirky little town to explore with surprisingly good food! After a small hick-up getting into the place everything was smooth.

We had a great stay at Philip's place! The house is beautiful and comfortable, and the view is unbeatable. The kitchen was stocked with lovely necessities - coffee, olive oil, milk and local beer. And the bath products are all natural (Mrs. Meyers, etc). Philip was staying in the little cottage on the property, and was there to answer questions but not at all intrusive. Adorable downtown Bath with a natural food store and cafes was 5 minutes away, and gorgeous Popham Beach was 20 minutes. It was a perfect spot for 2 families (4 adults, 5 young kids). Highly recommended!

My friends and I very much enjoyed our recent stay here! Communication with Pip both prior to arrival and during our stay was fast and easy, the house was clean, beautiful (especially the kitchen!), and well-stocked, and the views of the river are gorgeous. It was perfect for our long weekend getaway.

The kitchen was stocked with coffee (French press pot), teas, milk, juice, cream, bagels, English muffins, cream cheese, jellies, breakfast cereal, and beer. Martin is an excellent host. Oh, there is an iron and ironing board. The apartment is charmingly decorated. And, it is only 1-1/2 blocks from Maine Street.

This sunny pied-à-terre was just perfect. As our first airbnb experience it exceeded expectations in all ways. The neighborhood, the apartment, and the host were all charming. The apartment was comfortably laid out and well-provisioned. The welcome bottle of wine and snacks were a generous surprise. The host was available to answer questions and orient us to the area. The location, walking distance to town, made this an ideal spot for our visit. We highly recommend!

The house and gardens are charming. Everything was clean, comfortable and roomy. Martin was a very accommodating host - our late arrival was no problem and treats were left out for us which we enjoyed. The house was walking distance to Main Street and there was plenty of parking. I hope to return soon!

Martin was flexible with his time, very friendly and accommodation, suggesting we contact him should we need anything. This turned out to be unnecessary as his preparations for guests are extensive and extremely thoughtful. Brunswick is a nice little town and a great place to get away from the city for a little while. I regret not researching the area more.

A great apartment for our stay with everything we could need in a great location close to shops, restaurants, etc. Quiet, comfortable and private. The kitchen was stocked with high quality, organic goodies for our breakfasts - and the coffee was delicious!! Very Comfy bed, too! Martin and Henry were friendly, gracious and hospitable. It was great getting to know them a little and to wander around their delightful garden. Hope they come to visit us when they're in NYC.

Great apartment. Charming and cozy with lots of thoughtful details. Main street of Brunswick is just around the corner with nice shops and a good choice of restaurants. We had a wonderful time eating at Frontier in Cabot Mill. Communication with Martin was good. Martin was very helpful and had good advice. A big plus was the variety of groceries in the fridge. It's a perfect spot for exploring the wonderful inland and coastline of Maine.

Martin was an excellent and friendly host! He was very flexible with my arrival time and offered to pick me up from the train station (which I didn't need) and at the end of my stay, gave me a lift to said station without my asking as it was pouring buckets. He was helpful in answering my questions about Brunswick and where essential shops were located. The place was very clean and totally private. It's an apartment unit unto itself (with full kitchen!). Fresh clean linens and towels, and brekkie fixings to boot! It's a leisurely 10 minute stroll (or 6 if you're a power walker) to the train/bus station and the business corridor. I hear this place is very popular with college students and their families, and I can see why, as it's a home away from home. The place and area are full of new England charm. Thank you Martin!

Lori was a wonderful host. We arrived after dark and Lori greeted us, showed us around, and made us feel very welcome. We stayed in Kate's Cottage and it was beautiful! We enjoyed wine by the chiminea while listening to the coyotes and wildlife surrounding us. The stars were amazing! The bed was super comfortable, her gardens were beautiful, and chatting with Lori was a real treat. I definitely look forward to going back!

Lori is seriously amazing. We arrived in the afternoon and was greeted by Lori with freshly picked heirloom tomatoes from her land. Lori has over 30 acres of land filled with chickens, horses, gardens and crops. The guest house was so quaint and cozy. My boyfriend and I played card games in a candlelight cabin. I give this place 5 stars!

We stayed in the summer cottage for two nights. It's a *very* nice place - basic (as described) and very peaceful and private. But what made the visit *very* special is Lori herself. Lori is a lovely person with a very open, warm and laid-back attitude. She took wonderful care of us and made us feel welcome. She even gave us some of her home-grown vegetables to we could make a salad. My girlfriend had a massage for her which she reported as wonderful. This is a place to stay to RELAX. Highly recommended. :)

Quaint little cabin. Perfect place to get away from the hussle and bussle of life. Lori is a great host. She is very welcoming. It was just a quick drive to Rockland for the lobster festival. The hot tub is a nice way to decompress after a day of sightseeing! There is a short walk to a full bathroom complete with sauna. There is also an outhouse right outside the cabin. Hysterical and makes you appreciate the modern things we take for granted. I can't wait to go back next year.

This is a very quiet, tranquil, and peaceful setting beautiful gardens, and a lovely little cottage to stay in, and I would highly recommend the breakfast,The coffee was amazing, and was the omelette was spectacular. We do plan on making another visit there at some point.

Lori's cottage was lovely. Lots of light, breezes lifting curtains, birdsong . We walked through the fields, admired the horses. We drove to Rockland for dinner at Miranda's and ate our other meals at the cottage. We went to farmers' mrkts and waded into close by lake. Lori made us a wonderful breakfast, fresh eggs, fruit, great coffee. I would highly recommend staying at Ravens Crossing.

Lori was great! She answered our call for directions late in the night. The cottage was lovely and she gave Lisa a great massage.

Everything about the house, location and host was 100%accurate. I whole heartedly recommend!

Diana seems detail-oriented, organized and thoughtful. From the carton of half-n-half and bottled water in the mini-fridge and a fully-stocked medicine cabinet, to detailed strategically placed instructions for such things as the wifi , media center, and housekey, I felt in better hands than some luxury hotels! Plenty of cushy seating and natural light, with a super comfy bed outfitted in Tommy Bahama linens that I could have crawled and stayed under happily for 24 hours. House was built in 1852 so some of the windows are a bit tricky to open and close. Bathroom is small compared to the rest of the guest space but overall such a pretty, pleasant and tranquil space to be in, you may not want to get out and explore. The only thing lacking is a pair of wine glasses and an ottoman!

Diana is warm and welcoming, her place is spurious comfortable beautiful private. Amazing location one block from downtown and great selection of books and board games if you prefer to stay in

We loved our stay here. We were visiting our son at Bowdoin and this home is within walking distance of the college. It is on a quiet residential street just a block away is the main drag, which has lots of great restaurants. It was the perfect location for us. The room itself is actually 3 rooms: a bedroom, living room, and cute sitting room. The decor is attractive, and although there isn't a kitchen there is a mini-fridge, microwave, and tea kettle, and kuerig coffee maker (which we put to use!). We arrived late at night but Diana gave us clear instructions on how to get in. Our only regret was that we were so busy we didn't have much time to just relax in this lovely, historic home! We definitely plan to stay here again.

Diana is the best host and her home is absolutely wonderful. It has lots of space and is super clean. It is steps away from a very nice German restaurant. Nice experience!

This home is absolutely wonderful. On a tree-lined street lined with gorgeous historic homes, just a few short blocks from Bowdoin's campus, lies this gem. Guest lodgings are spacious and bright, with high quality furnishings, wonderfully decorated,... I was only in town for a day and a night, but what a delightful base. Diana was a friendly and welcoming host. Communications were excellent and thorough. Next time I'm in Brunswick, I'll stay here again.

Great location with an amazing audio visual system

Yvonne's home in Edgecomb is well maintained, beautiful, and bursting with charm. Yvonne is an excellent host, and kept open communication during our stay. The home (located on the second floor) has everything you need for a relaxing evening in, from smart TV system to a full kitchen. There is a keypad entry, a parking lot, and access to cove/river views. I would recommend if you are looking for a nice accommodation driving through the southern coast of Maine, as the home is easily accessible off Route 1.

What a beautiful location just over the bridge from the main street of Wiscasett. The condo itself is sparkling clean, tastefully decorated, well equipped and comfortable. You are right on the water's edge. There are two chairs outside your door that are the perfect spot for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening as you look out over the view. There is a kitchenette that has everything you would need to put together a meal if you wanted to stay in for dinner but there are restaurants and of course Red's Lobster just minutes from your door. Yvonne was a great communicator and we could not be happier with our choice to spend a night in her condo on our way to Acadia National Park. We'll stay there again.

Can't beat the view if you're staying in Wiscasset. We we're able to easily walk to the famous Red's Eats spot across the river for lobster rolls. Perfect sunset from the side porch and room.

This condo was beautiful and exactly what we wanted as a quiet getaway after our wedding. It's also a short walk / drive from Red's Eats. The view and space was beautiful and perfect.

Rebekahs and Matts appartment is really cosy and very well equipped! We were totally surprised to find the fridge full with all kinds of foods and vegetables (probably from your own garden?). The location is perfect for a visit to the wonderful Popham Beach State Park and the great LL Bean Store and Freeport Outlets. Due to the highway behind the house the appartment is a bit noisy but the total atmosphere is really great. Thanks a lot to Rebekah for her kindness and hospitality. Lars

This apartment was an absolute dream! Rebekah is so kind and warm and made our arrival so easy. Brunswick is a charming town with lots to do (we're still dreaming of our dinner at the Frontier Cafe), and the apartment had the greatest character of any AirBNB I've stayed at. Our host met us as we drove up: Rebekah was so welcoming and warm. It was perfect for a place in Brunswick. If it hadn't been raining we would have definitely walked everywhere. The place was perfect for a couple. There was a great big screen TV and so after our activities we could come back and snuggle up in the warm apartment and watch TV.

Rebekah and Matt's place is a cozy private apartment that is attached to their house. It is conveniently located to downtown Brunswick which, while small, has a nice variety of shops and restaurants. The place itself has everything you need and check in was a breeze. Rebekah is very communicative and will make sure all is taken care of.

Rebekah and Matt's place is BEYOND charming! Everything was spotless and well taken care of. The colors of the apartment were a real mood booster (especially since we were in town for a funeral) you can see they've put a lot of care into the place. We were only able to get a glimpse of the gallery due to our schedule but it was lovely. And we loved seeing the artwork in the apartment. Absolutely lovely place, I hope we can stay again!

We loved this cute little farmhouse apartment in Brunswick. The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed for our one night stay in town. If we have the opportunity to come to Brunswick again we will definitely try to stay with Rebekah and Matt.

Grisan goes above and beyond in making her guests feel welcome in her home. It's a beautiful, scenic, peaceful location, and her home is every bit as beautiful as the pictures suggest. Grisan is a super friendly, caring, attentive host. This was our first airbnb experience, and we could not have been happier.

This place is gorgeous and waterfront, has an amazing view and access to the historic fort, and is so quiet and peaceful. Grisan was a wonderful host, offering lots of snacks an drinks, provided a delicious breakfast. I can't recommend it more. I only wish I could have stayed longer!

Everything about our stay was terrific. The room was the largest, airiest and brightest we've had, and the views from the room and the porch are picturesque. Grisan is very pleasant and hospitable. Even though we are frequent visitors to the area, she was able to direct us to places and activities that were unknown to us from prior visits. She genuinely takes an interest in making your stay as comfortable as possible. Due to other commitments, we were not able to take up her offers of breakfast, but I have no doubt that it would be exceptional. Staying with Grisan will definitely be our first choice when we return to the area on our future visits.

Grisan and her place were so nice! The location is beautiful, right next to the water and historic Fort Edgecomb. It was very convenient for anyone looking to explore the Wiscasset/Damariscotta/Pemaquid areas. The bed was very comfortable and Grisan greeted us with freshly baked cookies. Grisan is lovely and always around for advice on what to do locally. Definitely a place we would return to in the future.

What a wonderful place! My room was large and cozy and furnished with loving hands. The big porch overlooking the sheltered harbor was so peaceful. Very near to three lovely villages full of cute shops and great dining. (Boothbay, Damarisotta, Wisscasset) I stayed here on my way out to Monhegan Island and it was the perfect spot to catch any of the ferries. Grisan was so helpful and provided everything I could possibly need. You will not regret a moment of your stay in their lovely home.

Lovely vintage home with character in a river/ocean-side location. We were in town for a wedding about 8 minutes away and this was the perfect location. Grisan was a friendly and caring host. The room was cozy and easy to feel at home in. We had a lovely time staying here.

This house is exactly as described, but I wish they could have told me how wonderful the hosts would be, too! They were incredibly warm, helpful, and invited me to join in their pool party. I couldn't turn down their amazing hospitality. I would totally stay with them again in the future when I am in the area for rafting again.

Nothing bad to say from me. Erik was a very good host. Everything was as advertised, and he is very good at pool. All in all, great place.

Erik's place is a hidden gem and true haven. We arrived late and left early, since we were making a pit stop on the way up to Canada for our honeymoon, but it was restful and comfortable. Highly recommend!

We stayed a full month for work in the area. They owners were not prepared to accommodate long stay guests. We had to ask for room in the fridge. There were no cabinets or drawers in our room so we really didn't have much space to put our clothes and felt really cramped. The bed was also quite stiff and uncomfortable, such that I had a really difficult time sleeping and would wake up with back pain. When we mentioned it, they told us it was the most comfortable bed they have in the house and did nothing to try to make us feel more comfortable. The room was quite far away from the router, so we would often drop our internet connection randomly. The bathroom was not clean, the shower was full of mold upon arrival and the toilet had bacterial growth, both were never cleaned through our entire stay. The owners were pretty passive aggressive with us the whole time, and after apologizing multiple times said it was due to recent stress, which is not a legitimate excuse for people paying to stay at your house in my opinion. The house itself was fine, but there were ants, flies, and spiders in many places around the house. The room we were in was directly facing the main road, so we would frequently hear traffic day and night, and it is quite loud, especially with trucks passing through, enough to wake you up even if you're a deep sleeper. All of that said, we didn't particularly feel comfortable during our stay. Our typical Airbnb experience has been much better. Thus we feel they deserve the 2 star rating we've given them at this time.

Kathleen was a wonderful host. She was busy in the back kitchen making sushi when greeted me at the door. After a few minutes to relax upstairs in the clean third floor bedrooms Kathleen invited me to join her for some evening conversation about travel and recipes.

Kathleen was there to greet us and made us feel right at home! We had a room on the third floor that was spacious and had a lot of light! Beautiful home in a great neighborhood! Kathleen gave us suggestions on restaurants and we walked to downtown Lewiston to eat and visit a local brewery. Baxters Brewing Co was great and the host gave us some of the history of Lewiston. The house is located in a nice residential neighborhood very near the Bates College Campus and also not far from shopping areas. The room was attractively furnished and extremely clean. Great location right on the Sheepscot river. Perfect as an attractive and affordable home base to explore the Maine coast, and also very accessible. Kitchen features are modest so don't come expecting to cook large meals, but all the necessities are there: charcoal grill, microwave, electric burner, small convection oven, coffee maker and mini-fridge! Excellent seafood markets and restaurants in the surrounding area. Nicole was wonderful and responded promptly to our requests. Everything here was really perfect for our needs.

Located right on the river with outdoor seating and fire pit, this cottage has it all with modern amenities and all the comforts of home. Our second to time staying here, we will be back!

Philip was great about checking in with me, especially knowing that I would be arriving after dark. The house was just as described, but was more bright and comfy than pictured, furnished with cozy furniture, great books, and some interesting art and photography. The kitchen was very basic but adequate for my weekend needs. The view could not be beat! The recommended breakfast location (Winnegance General Store/Cafe) was perfect. All in all, the house was great for a weekend of rest, relaxation, and some hiking too.

Philip was the ideal host-communicative with lots of great suggestions. The cottage was perfect for our stay; a great space for a couple, lots of light, a beautiful view of the river. The kitchen is small but totally accommodating with a little bit of creativity. Would definitely stay here or check out the larger house on the property when we head back to Maine.

Philip was very helpful and responsive to my inquires. The cottage is situated in a very beautiful location. The only thing that separates you from the Kennebec River is the marshes. So there is a good deal of privacy. The very comfortable queen bed faces east displaying beautiful sunrises over the river. The house was pleasing decorated, simple and functional. It is an open floor plan which is nicely designed. The location was only a mile or so from Bath center. I would stay there again.

The cottage was perfect; exactly what we expected and needed. Everything in the house was well-organized and very clean. There are beautiful views of the river. It is a nice walk into the center of town. Phillip was very nice, helpful and always responded quickly. He provided a comprehensive list of things to do in the area and restaurants to go to. We are planning on coming back again.

This was very enjoyable. It is a beautiful setting. The single source of heat could be a challenge, but it wasn't a big problem.

Awesome place to go if you plan on bringing your dog with you. The dog park is maybe a mile or so down the road. Very clean, awesome view.

Lovely view overlooking cattails of kennebec wetlands. Convenient ~5 min drive to route 1 and downtown bath. Mattress was too soft for me, back was aching after the second night, but the apartment was spacious and comfortable. I didn't meet Philip, I assume he was out of town, but he was very responsive and accommodating by text.

We cannot say enough great things about this place. We stayed for a week and loved every second of it. The house is spotless, light and inviting. Very cozy and comfortable decor. Well equipped kitchen. Large updated bathroom and comfortable beds. The house is very clean and well taken care off. It is set down a quiet dirt road and right on the water. We lived outdoors the entire time. Breakfast out on the balcony, kayaking, fishing ... we read by the outdoor fire we made. We went for several bike rides, hikes and runs. The surroundings are simply stunning. The terrain is quite hilly so you'll get a good workout. The two closest towns are Bath and Brunswick. Great for shopping and dining. Especially Bath is quite charming. Many good supermarkets close by. You will not regret staying at Rob and Jessie's place. For us this was an unforgettable trip and we would love to return. Communication with the hosts was also great, swift and super friendly, Rob and Jessie were dedicated to making sure we would have the absolute best time. And we did!

This was the perfect home for our family getaway (even with a 2 year old). The most amazing views of the water. Kayaks to enjoy the water from a different perspective. A fire pit for making smores. A grill on the deck (which was a great spot for watching sunsets). A hot tub and screened in porch. Comfy beds, and even a high chair and pack and play for a baby/toddler. Rob and Jessie were so communicative and accommodating. They also provided tons of great suggestions for breakfast in town, hiking trails, etc. Oh and the wildlife cooperated too, with multiple up-close seal and bald eagle viewings (from the deck and the kayak).

We loved our stay here! We spent a weekend here with family and friends and loved our access to the water and th use of the kayaks. Rob and Jess were super easy to get in touch with and very friendly! We spent our time grilling, playing lawn games, loving the fire pit and enjoying some stunning views of the water. Their place was clean and had everything we needed! Would absolutely recommend for a family weekend or a casual weekend with close friends!

We had a very nice stay! The house is lovely, the room is exactly as advertised, their cats are very cute and friendly (we didn't meet their dogs), and the overall value is terrific. Although we didn't meet Brittany & Jake, they were very helpful and communicative throughout.

Britanny was a great host and very accommodating with the check-in schedule. The room was private and clean and the location was close to really great restaurants and attractions.

I would recommend Brittany's place to anyone visiting the coast. It's close to Bath, a wonderful town, as well as Brunswick, and other coastal destinations. The space is really nice, - bedroom, kitchen, bath, and living room upstairs. It was central to my work and easy to get to Rte 1, the main thoroughfare to coastal towns as well as Brunswick and Freeport.

We had a very comfortable stay in Britt and Jake's home. They are good hosts who welcome questions and happy to give any help they can. Their home is sparkling clean. Their animals are friendly and playful. The center of Bath is just minutes away. The house is situated on a quiet street with easy, private parking. One note, the street sign where you turn is Tarbox St. Tarbox curves around and you go straight ahead on Liberty St. No sign for Liberty Street that I saw. A good stay all around.

Kristen and her family were very accomodating, we were running late and she even left the key out for us to enter, the room is excellent and to the description. If we visit Acadia again we would love to stay at her place. Thanks!
