This was my first Airbnb experience and although I live right in the next town over, I still felt like I was far away from home...and their place was just like that. It was quaint, cozy, inviting, warm & clean. I had mentioned prior to arriving that my birthday was the following day and Linda took it upon herself to add a special touch with a happy birthday banner hung on the wall above the bed. Both Jeff & Linda were very welcoming and they made it very easy for me to settle right in & relax. The accommodations were worth the price paid and I would definitely recommend them & suggest anyone interested in visiting Puyallup consider staying at their place. Becky

Jen and her family were very welcoming! The studio was exactly as described. Big TV with netflix/hulu, great shower (facing the bed, suited for couples) and Mr. Big (super friendly cat) were the highlights. It's clean and comfortable.

Every need was taken care of beforehand. Very quiet neighborhood which we appreciated. Our pribavy was well respected.

Nice Loco off beaten path

Jen was great to work with, she confirmed my reservation request almost instantly and made the check-in process very easy. Neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, studio was neat and tidy. Coffee was provided in the studio. Good experience.

Jen rescued me when I got lost my first trip to her place. I knew I was only a few minutes from her place, but my outdated GPS wasn't helping me. I called her and she came to where I was and had me follow her. That was above and beyond the call of duty. :) Her place is amazing in that she provided everything I could've needed...from toiletries, to snacks, water, gatoraide and yogurt. The neighborhood was perfect for my liking....quiet and easy to get to (once I got on the right track).

Jen was great! The area was quiet and a nice little private driveway. The air mattress and bed were both comfortable. Jen provided drinks and snacks for us. It was a great place to stay overnight in Puyallup. We would definitely stay there again!

Jen's studio was even better than described. The space was warm, cozy, and inviting. Tucked away on a quiet residential street, the separate studio offers a lovely, quiet retreat from the world. Jen left us coffee and snacks to enjoy during our stay, which were much appreciated! The bed was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed being able to walk into downtown Puyallup easily, and this studio served as a good base for exploring the city.

Steve was quick to respond to my reservation request and easy to communicate with. The accommodations are excellent, located in a quiet residential neighborhood yet conveniently close to the area's attractions.

My wife and I had our first experience with Airbnb at Steve's house and Steve set the bar impossibly high for other places. He is very generous with his home. Full access to a full kitchen, washer and dryer, private, unattached bathroom but very close by and much more. You are getting an incredible deal if you stay at Steve's place. But what makes Steve stand out most is his character. He is genuine, sincere and friendly, and so is Tubs (his always-hungry but super sweet dog!). If you can't get along with Steve then you should check out of the human race and spare us all. My wife and I spent a lot of hours in conversation together and separately with Steve and we both found him very engaging ( but... PoKeMon Go dense...) We really look forward to visiting with Steve and Tubs again!

Steve's place is perhaps the best dollar-value I have seen. The quality of his home and accommodations is top notch. My only regret will be having to make reservations much farther in advance, now that people are catching on to this gem in the airbnb community.

Our stay with Steve and his sidekick, Tubbs, was fabulous. Quiet neighborhood, great house, and enough room for both me and my boyfriend. Steve was very accommodating, laid back, and a great board-game partner :-) His dog, Tubbs, is the most adorable Beagle and made the stay extra special. We will definitely stay with Steve again if we are ever in the area.

Mo was the most hospitable host I have had yet. Her house is kept very clean and the bed, though small, was comfortable.

I had a great time. I felt very safe, welcomed and pampered. She had direct TV and write out channels for me. She made yummy muffins and had the nicest bath towel I've ever used. When I have a house, I would like her to decorate my bathroom. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Marie is a wonderful host. She welcomed me upon arrival, introduced me to the dogs and the rental. The place was exactly as described - roomy, comfortable, and a little bit quirky. When I arrived later with my kids, we felt at home immediately. Marie's place provides everything you could possibly want or need - fluffy towels, comfy beds, relaxing places to hang out. But more than that, it had little things like a basket of toiletries in case you forgot something, assorted kitchen snacks/spices/drinks - we needed soy sauce and it was there. In our brief exchange at check in, Marie learned that we are a gluten free family. She surprised us on our second morning with gluten free crepes topped with berries and whipped cream in addition to the delicious breakfast. We were thrilled. We will definitely be back next year when we are in Puyallup for a yearly conference. Marie, your place is magical. It is hands down our favorite rental ever.

We were there for a wedding so it suited our needs perfectly. Two bedrooms and 2 sleeping lofts fit the bill for our extended family. It was more spacious than expected. We had a mini fridge and microwave with all the necessities. Steps to downstairs off the balcony so you can come and go as you please...they are a little slick in the rain though. Would definitely recommend.

The hostess was totally available but not intrusive. The flat was very clean, decorated nicely and comfortable. There was plenty of room. We liked the fact that she had interesting books out for us to read and a pad of paper and pens to take notes on.

Marie was friendly and flexible - a wonderful host! This flat is supper spacious and includes a large den, and office type alcove, nice bathroom and several sleeping locations. There is a private entrance. It was clean and quite nice. I definitely recommend staying in this interesting and lovely home.

Our accommodations were delightful and exactly as described. Although we only stayed one night and had to leave early the next morning we were treated as family. We even got a to-go package of scones, fruit and OJ for us to take on the road. I would highly recommend.

We arrived a little early, but Brad was there to welcome us in anyway. He dropped the project he was working on in the yard, led us up to the room (even offered to carry our suitcases for us), and gave us a quick tour. We met Barbara just minutes later, and she greeted us like we were old friends. The room was nearly perfect. It's in a loft, and we visited in the middle of summer, so it was hot, but they had an air conditioner running to cool things down, and we were able to open the big windows at night. My wife says "the bed was divine," and I can't argue with that. We slept soundly both nights. We found a basket of fruit, granola bars, and microwavable popcorn waiting for us, along with a bottle of Martinelli's cider with which to celebrate our 10th anniversary. The room had a microwave and mini-fridge, plenty of hooks in the bathroom, and an amusing little hidey-hole called "Mole End" inside a tree that looks like it's growing through the room. There were plenty of books and cozy lighting, including individual reading lamps on both sides of the bed. The shower stall was small but not problematically so. The address we were given was enough to get us to the place without any trouble using a GPS in the car, though just a map of Puyallup may have been sufficient. Being in a detached building in the hosts' yard, we felt secluded, and we were not bothered by any noise from the downstairs guests, the hosts, or the neighborhood. We really felt like we were way out in the countryside rather than just a few miles from Tacoma. We also enjoyed a stroll through some well-maintained gardens on the property. We gave the hosts two or three suggestions for improvement when we checked out, but we had absolutely nothing to complain about. And we had a surprise: Barbara provided breakfast for us both mornings we were there. It included juice, yogurt, and homemade pastries (muffins one morning and scones the next) that were fresh from the oven and simply delicious.

It was truly an amazing treat to stay at Barb and Brad's B&B. The unit was especially unique, super clean, inspiring one's imagination with the little tree house nook and wonderfully cozy and comfortable. We loved the pressed and starched luxurious sheets on the bed so much that my husband has since ironed our pillow cases and sheets to duplicate the treat at home! The breakfast was out of this world! Everything was perfect and we highly, highly recommend this wonderful B&B!

Barbara exudes genuine warmth and has an exceptional gift of hospitality. from 2 minutes in we knew we were in good hands, and the charm of the place was only surpassed by the beauty of the grounds and gardens. The room is as pictured and so comfortable that we stayed an extra night. the patio is a great place to have coffee in the morning and the fire ring out back is great for those who need some "night-life". We can not wait to come back for some more of the atmosphere of the English Cottage and the city of Puyallup.

It is more the train horns that were loud to me. Nice yard to allow my dog to run around and the internet was fast.I appreciated the Hulu and Netflix access. Would stay again!

Great little house with a large backyard. My daughter and I were there for four days to attend the state fair. The house suited our needs well. There was enough space to park our large truck. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was large, and having a washer and dryer was nice. Brittany was easy to communicate with. Thank you for the bottle of wine! As described the train is loud and runs day and night.

Adorably decorated, felt like staying in a boutique

We stayed at this home for one night, after flying into SeaTac to meet family before driving to Portland for a conference. This was our first experience with AirBnB, so this review will reflect some things that we learned for use in the future. First, things that we liked... Decor is nice. My husband liked the maps on the walls. Access to Puyallup is good, including restaurants, shopping, and other amenities. WiFi is good quality, high-speed. Hot water in bathroom is excellent. The fixtures were initially a bit daunting (classic style), but the shower itself is excellent. As an older house in this area, overall upkeep seems to be excellent (no obvious signs of shifting or other defects). Access to laundry units is wonderful! The back yard is a good size, especially if you are travelling with pets (we were not on this trip). Second, things that we didn't like AND things we learned... Initially, there was some miscommunication regarding the check-in time. Thankfully, our plans were flexible, so we killed some time at the South Hill Mall and ate lunch with family before checking in that afternoon. Additionally, the instructions for operating the key box are faded and difficult to read. THE TRAIN ~ Yes, I had read the reviews that mentioned the train, but somehow did not realize that the track was RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET, and there is an intersection about half-a-block away. The issue that I had is that the trains run day and night, moving fast enough to vibrate the house, and the each one sounds its horn. Ear plugs are supplied, but it is still difficult. Additionally, the road on which this home is located is very busy as well, which also contributes to the generally loud ambient noise in the home. Also, remember, there is no A/C, so if you need to cool the house (which we did not, thankfully), you have to open the windows, which will increase to train/traffic noise. The furniture in the living room seems short, and for my husband and I at six-feet tall, it was not a comfortable room for us to use. The size of the bed is not clearly documented in description of the house. It is comfortable, but not quite big enough for two six-foot people to sleep comfortably. That said, WE did not clarify this issue, so no blame to host, just notification for future guests. :) Additionally, the extra sleeping that is available in the house, is literally on the couches, not open futons or hide-a-beds, but couch-surfing; which is not what we were expecting. Personally, I was very disappointed in the sleeping arrangements, but again this was due to me not clarifying this question prior to requesting the reservation. Lesson learned. :) Overall, this house is very cute, and functional for an individual or smaller couple. Unfortunately, due to our height and the issues with the sleeping arrangements, we will not be returning to this home. The host, Brittany was EXCELLENT...

This is such a cute and charming little house. It's not huge, but it's definitely enough for one or two people. It's a little hard to tell from the pictures, but it's obvious a lot of effort was put into decorating. It's obviously an older house, as stated in the description, and that adds a lot to the character. Everything was very clean when we got there, and the scent was pleasant. The bed, while not the size of a small country, was very comfortable, as was the rest of the furniture in the house. Overall the amenities were very enjoyable to use, from the shower to the bedroom. The kitchen especially was very nice. The appliances were all very high quality, and all the utensils we needed were available. We cooked 3/4 of our meals while we stayed here, which I loved being able to do. The area has a very small-town feel, while not being very far from a lot of different things to do. Within half an hour you can be exploring Seattle and Tacoma, or going for a walk on one of the parks along the coast of the sound. There's 2 grocery stores and several restaurants within 5 minutes of the house. It was a very nice area to be staying in for a weekend getaway. There's a few things to be aware of with this house. The driveway is a little cramped and it's on a street with a 35 mph speed limit. While I had no issues getting in and out, it might get dicey if there's ever heavy traffic. It is literally across the street from train tracks, which go by several times a day. I'm not a light sleeper, but if you are there's a good chance they'll wake you up. There's also a good collection of Roald Dahl books, in case you feel like getting nostalgic.

The house is quite cute and is as described. If you're sleeping in the bedroom with the door and windows shut, the noise of the train and trucks shouldn't bother you too much. However, if you're sleeping in the living room or den on one of the couches, it's probably going to interrupt your sleep. The trains and trucks get especially busy in the early morning. But it's the price you pay for getting an inexpensive place to stay in the Seattle vicinity. But the house is spacious and has all the necessities. And Brittany's description warns people about the noise, so no hidden drawbacks.

Brittany was always very responsive when we texted her. The trains didn't bother us and it was wonderful to have a place that would take our dog. The idiosyncrasies of an older home were not a big issue for us.

For me, I had trouble understanding how to work the appliances such as the laundry machine, stove and water filter from the fridge because it was high tech, but I thought the home was well organized. The house even provides a lot of old school games and spices for cooking. Lots of beds and sleeping space.

This house was wonderful. The bed was large and comfortable, the bedroom and bathroom were well stocked with extra sheets and towels. It was rainy the whole time I stayed, but if the weather had been nicer I would have definitely enjoyed hanging out on the patio. The location is great, just a few minutes from food, groceries, and the Washington state fair grounds. Puyallup, in addition, is in an ideal location to be relatively close to a variety of things to do, both in the Seattle and Tacoma area, as well as a variety of outdoor activities to the East. The kitchen, though, is the highlight of this house. My girlfriend and I like to cook our own meals when we go places, and some other listings don't have a particularly well stocked kitchen. Paul's place had pretty much every dish, pot, pan, or utensil we could possibly need, and a decent collection of spices on top of that. Additionally, Paul was very quick to respond to any issues we had, and was very good about following up afterwards to make sure they were resolved. I definitely had a very good experience here, and would definitely enjoy staying again.

My boyfriend and I stayed in Tom's home for our second time. We fell in love with the place even more this time. It really feels like home there. As in my last review, I can't stress how impressively clean and well-stocked the home is. The bed will provide you with the best night's sleep you've had in years. I forgot to mention the patio/yard in my last review. It's a real selling point. There are two tables and complete privacy. It's a great, large space. As for Tom, he is a top-notch host. Although I didn't meet him, we messaged, and I always felt that he was available. He seems genuinely interested in providing the best experience for his guests. I hope so stay at Tom's again someday when I return to the Pacific Northwest.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The cottage was neat as a pin with a completely stocked kitchen and a very comfortable bed. It was a very peaceful and relaxing place to go to after working the long days of the Washington Sportsmen's Show at the fairgrounds. We look forward to staying here again for next year's show.

This vacation rental was by far the best I have ever stayed at. It far surpassed any hotel. Besides having a home like atmosphere it was beyond clean. There was not a speck of dirt or dust anywhere. The king sized sleep number bed was more comfortable than my own. My husband and I stayed for a week while visiting family. The place was so comfortable I would not have minded staying longer. The kitchen was well appointed with a full size refrigerator, stove, and microwave. There was a laundry area with a full size washer and dryer. The neighborhood was extremely quiet. We were never awakened by any noise, as what routinely happens with hotel stays. I can truly say you won't be sorry if you book this quaint cottage.

Paul was amazing from the beginning. This was my 1st Airbnb experience and he was more than helpful. My husband and I loved this cute cottage from the start. As a avid food lover I was very impressed with the well equipped kitchen and selection of spices. I wish we were able to stay longer. But we will be back for the Puyallup fair. Great location. It's a very cute and clean cottage, perfect for our temporary needs as we are between homes. I highly recommend this and only wish it was a tiny bit closer to Tacoma. The house was perfect for our needs and it was exactly as represented. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood and offers easy access to dining and entertainment. We even found a couple nice restaurants within walking distance. The layout was ideal and everything was very clean and in perfect working order. Lisa was very responsive, friendly and professional, she even provided some treats and a nice selection of coffee/tea. If you’re a cyclist, there’s easy access to the Riverwalk trail which offers scenic pathways along the river. All-in-all a very nice place and we plan to stay there again for our reunion next year.

Barbara was there to welcome us when we arrived. We talked for a while about her place and she suggested places to visit. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The breakfasts that she brought every morning were delish. The only negative was the plumbing problems we experienced.

The room was clean and cozy; the kitchen outfitted with the basic necessities, including freshly ground coffee, microwave popcorn and fresh fruit. The view from the front door was bucolic, including finely manicured gardens and bunny rabbits. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. We were greeted each morning with freshly home-baked goodies and juice.

I spent 30 days as her guest and she cooked a beautiful delicious breakfast delivered hot to my door daily....quiche, fruit, home made bread and preserves and fresh ground coffee. .... Peach was my fav, but plum not far behind:) Amazing. She let me pick yummy veggies from her garden. Kitchen was well stocked...great cutlery. Bedding and pillows are superb. Quiet. Clean. She was so helpful and kind. And her husband Brad a very nice guy.

We had a fantastic time at the Tayberry Cottage! We rented the cottage for our family Christmas, and we had plenty of space in this charming and cozy cottage. The rooms were well appointed, the kitchen was perfect for our needs, and Vicki and Terry were super to work with.
