The apartment is in a large house covered with American vines in the center of the town of Borgo San Lorenzo. The house consists of a double bedroom, a kitchen and a bathroom with shower. Outside there is a grey stone courtyard and an organic vegetable garden full of lovingly grown vegetables and ancient flowers from other times. The accommodation is for two people, single or in pairs, but there is also the option to add a cot if a child is present. The Mugello valley has small treasures of rare beauty: the medieval village of Scarperia, the Romanesque churches of Borgo S. Lorenzo, Sant'Agata and the small town of San Giovanni, the house of the painter Giotto a Vicchio. The green walks in the forest trails in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, the succulent Mugellan tortello stuffed with potatoes, Lake Bilancino near Barberino del Mugello. History, nature and, if you are passionate about motorcycles, there is also the international Mugello racetrack. There are trains and buses to and from Florence From 1 May 2019 on arrival you will be required, in cash, to pay the tourist tax due to the Municipality of Borgo San Lorenzo, equal to €1.50 per day per person, up to a maximum of 6 consecutive days. From the first day of May the hosts have to pay a tourist tax (for the municipality of Borgo San Lorenzo) when they arrive (with cash money). The tourist tax is 1,50 euro per day each person until the sixth day (from the seventh day is for free).

Panzano is halfway between Florence and Siena, easily reached with car. By bus there is a good service from and to Florence, not from and to Siena. A very quiet spot!
