Places to stay in Savannah

Located within easy walking distance of awesome restaurants, bars, coffee shops, art galleries, and boutiques, we're also only half a mile from Savannah's famous Forsyth Park. "This is one of those places that, as you are leaving, you begin planning your next visit back. Everything about my stay was stunning. From the artistic decor to all the thoughtful amenities, I felt completely at home. I would absolutely recommend this as a place to stay. I can’t wait to come back!" -- Jackie, December 2019 "I couldn't have asked for a better location, atmosphere, and host. The home is situated in a unique neighborhood with a variety of restaurants, boutique shops, and less than two miles from the historic area with plenty of parking. Prior to my visit I was given all the information needed to let myself in and get situated. I enjoyed the freedom and flow of the property. During breakfast there was usually someone to meet and converse with and evenings were always quiet. The fridge was stocked with all the beverages you could possibly want. Anna certainly considered the details. I was truly happy with the communication before and during my stay. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a step back in time with the amenities of today. Great time away." -- Tarsheka, May 2017
The house is conveniently located just half a mile from Forsyth Park in the emerging arts district known as Starland, named for the iconic Starland Dairy building at its center. There are a plethora of coffee shops, restaurants, art galleries and local watering holes within walking distance, and historic downtown Savannah is only a 20-25 minute walk or a short Uber ride, drive, or bike ride away!
  • I'm a travel nurse and this was my 2and week at Anna's place. It is a great location, always sparkling clean with great amenities. I have enjoyed my stays!

  • Great location and outstanding hospitality! I would highly recommend this very stylish Airbnb and cozy, comfortable room.

    Michelle2020-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • Extremely wonderful Airbnb. Might be one of my favorites just in terms of the space itself. So many nice touches, just a really cool vibe. The room itself is meant for a solo traveler, so it’s on the smaller side. But definitely enough for me and I would imagine most solo travelers. It was a very comfy single bed in my room. Can’t really speak for the other rooms ! But if I had to bet they were equally as comfy. Also excellent host, super responsive through the AirBNB app!! Do not hesitate to book this place. For real.

    Miguel2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place to stay with eclectic decor and nice touches. Being able to use the bicycles made for a great way to explore the town. Communication was quick and clear. Check out the special way to access the private veranda outside the bedroom. Thanks !

  • Great location and fantastic host.

  • I HIGHLY recommend this place, great technology accessing your room, fast and reliable response, stylish place yet very welcoming and comfortable. Private rooms with a perfect touch of vintage settings. Over all the best experience ever

  • Great value. Very walkable to Forsyth and an inexpensive uber to the historic district. I had a great stay, Anna was very responsive, and I would absolutely recommend/stay here again.

Kick back on the green velvet couch around the statement fireplace with exposed brickwork in this bright condo. It’s perched on the third story of a Victorian house dating from 1891. During the day, the condo is flooded with light from high ceilings and bay windows. The blackout curtains and plush king bed will help you sleep-in in the morning!
A bright, spacious, 3rd floor condo less than a block from Forsyth Park
The condo is less than half a block from Forsyth Park, where there's always something fun going on. There are festivals, a Saturday Farmers’ Market, and tree-lined streets. It’s a scenic 15-minute walk to downtown Savannah and its 22 squares. SVR-00716
  • This a very clean, and thoughtfully designed place in the coolest part of town. Steps away from a monumental park. Close to great restaurants, and the downtown area. The hosts are great communicators, and just simply the nicest people on the planet. I guarantee even the pickiest of guests will enjoy this lovely space.

  • The stay here was amazing!!!! The place was just as beautiful as it was in the pictures. Not to mention the king size bed we did NOT want to get out of! If I could give this place more than 5 ⭐️’s I would! Would definitely be back!

    Shai2020-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, tastefully decorated, and right by iconic park. Enjoyed stay immensely!

    Katie Rose2020-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying here! The host went above and beyond to meet our needs on our stay. Would definitely stay here again! It was close driving distance to shops and food downtown and some options were close enough to walk. Be prepared this unit is on the third floor so does have quite a bit of stairs to get to the top, but all the natural light inside is worth it!

Small but elegant room with a twin bed for a single traveler to retreat in one of Savannah's historic homes. A great way to experience Savannah in an over the top Victorian home with 14' ceilings and claw foot tubs! I also have a selection of bicycles available in several sizes to fit almost any rider and include a complimentary, self serve breakfast.
This house is one of those most iconic in this part of Savannah with beautiful marble floors and stained glass windows. I've gotten really creative with the colors and the decor and would love to host colorful, interesting people who appreciate it! The room is small and ideal for guests of shorter stature but perfect for any single traveler on a budget. "This is house has the magical ability of making you truly feel home away from home. The rooms are close enough to meet your neighbors and exchange stories but the space at large is big enough to feel like you have the whole place to yourself! This house is stunning and straight out of all your dreams of old southern charm. The travelers retreat was PERFECT and just the right size for one. This place is something special to uncover in Savannah, STAY HERE!" -- Jessica, December 2017 Please Note: This room is located on the second floor and there is no elevator or handicapped access.
We're in a part of town most locals call the "Victorian District" which is full of beautiful 1880's - 1920's houses. We're not near River St but from here you can enjoy Savannah like a true local and feel free to explore the town on our complimentary bicycles.
  • Great place to stay! Beautiful old home and the room was as advertised--just for one person, but very comfortable and cozy!

    Michelle2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Man, I felt like I was living in a hip mansion, filled with everything I need! The room was the size of a big walk-in closet, but that was all the room I needed since I packed very light and am super tiny. There's a bus stop a short walk away that will take you to where it's hoppin' near the river too. The porch and free bike usage were the best amenities in my opinion. Loved the house, location, and the hosts! Perfect stay to explore Savannah!

    Mai-Thi2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great space in a beautiful city!

    Ashley2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Wanna try out one of those big, old Savanna houses while keeping to a budget? This is a great place to start. Bicycle distance from everything and bicycle provided!

    Tc2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Rabo’s place is beautiful! The house is huge, with lots of other visitors staying in it. Everyone staying there was so nice and welcoming, and even though I didn’t meet Rabo, I was told everything I needed to know about the house and all of my questions were answered super quick! The house is close to downtown, I used one of the bikes to ride into town both days and it only took me like 10 minutes! The bikes were so convenient! The house has so much information about Savannah and things to do/places to eat. Also, the room was very cozy and cute. A little small and no TV, but I was only there to sleep so I didn’t mind! It’s an amazing place and definitely recommend, especially because of the bikes :)

  • Clean and near to everyhing!

    Karen2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is an absolutely beautiful home to stay in. You'll feel like you stepped out of a wardrobe into another world. I really enjoyed hanging out on the spacious first floor and meeting the other guests. I highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful Ardsley Park neighborhood. Beautiful historic homes, gardens and parks. Close to Sand Gnat stadium, tennis courts and tree-lined streets. Perfectly located 2 miles from the Historic District, 1 mile to Whole Foods Market, and convenient to Tybee Island.
  • A wonderful, cozy, private carriage house that is smartly laid out and supplied for a long (or short) stay that’s located a block from the cool, trendy Starland neighborhood. I had my pup with me, and the place was great for him with many windows and a queen bed that he could perch himself on with the perfect vantage point keeping watch out a window. Next time I’m in Savannah, I hope this place is available. The hosts were wonderful and attentive. Cheers!

  • Jill & her husband Ben were great! They were very easy to communicate with and if there were an issues regarding the unit they were on top of it immediately to get it resolved. The place was really cute and just perfect for me and my 10 week stay. The location was really great as well because it was in walking distance of many great parks, sights, restaurants, downtown, and stores. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting to enjoy the true Savannah life during their stay.

    Maren2018-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in the cottage house for 3 months while working in Savannah. Jill is amazing and very responsive and helpful with any questions I had. Would definitely stay here again in the future :)

    Qais2018-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • I loved staying at Jill's place! I stayed here for 4 months while I was in Savannah for work. The carriage house was adorable, the back patio area was great for relaxing and having a drink after work. Jill and her family were so welcoming and responsive when I had questions - Savannah is definitely the hostess city. I recommend this place to anyone who will be in Savannah for a bit and would definitely stay again.

    Aria2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I stayed at Jill's AirBNB for a weekend trip to Savannah. It was the perfect space for us - very comfortable, and has a charming, southern feel to it! It's in a beautiful neighborhood, and is conveniently located to downtown. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Beautifully restored motel rooms a short 5 minute drive from center of Savannah. I really loved the colors of the motel doors and the color scheme of my room. They have preserved tile from the 60's in the bathrooms and tubs are nice and deep. Bed was super comfortable. Loved this place and Savannah.Definitely want to come back. They are dog friendly with a good amount of land to walk your dogs on with a dog station included so you can scoop and thow away. Super value for the $ spent.

Solo Travelers Only! It’s me, my two brothers, and my dog. We live in a historical home built in 1911 within walking distance of Forsyth Park and a 5 minute drive to the riverfront/downtown area. We are located in a quiet suburban area with many great restaurants and coffee shops also within walking distance. SHARED spaces with other guests are a Big Kitchen, 1 Full Bath, 1 Half Bath, and a Balcony. Roku Smart TV and Free WIFI. Free street parking. Coffee provided!
The room is in the back of the house right next to the shared full bathroom and near the kitchen. One double bed, a desk, two side tables, closet, dresser, mini fridge, reading chair, roku smart tv, and free WiFi!
It is a transition neighborhood so some areas are not ideal walking places. Exit to the left and it’s 5 minutes to many fun trendy eateries. Exit to the right and you’ll find rundown buildings and gas stations. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic know that businesses are still closed or have limited hours and services. Please google and call ahead to check with each of my recommendations before visiting.
  • I really can’t say enough great things! Jennifer’s place was so awesome. I came to stay after working a long shift and too tired to drive over an hour home. It’s in the heart of Savannah. Finding it was very easy. It’s very close to everything. The house is super cool. It reminds me of somewhere I used to live before so it was very nostalgic. Check-in was super easy as well. Everything is so neat and clean. The bed was comfortable and the roku was just what I needed to unwind and relax after working. The shower was hot and she provides some toiletries in case you forgot your own. Little things like that make the stay everything! Jennifer is a wonderful host, has an awesome place, and I will definitely be back!!

    Chelsey2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • The place was very clean and well organized. I recommend staying with them.

  • Jennifer is a great host! Super cool house- wish I could’ve stayed longer!

    Jonathan2020-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer’s place was right in the heart of Savannah. She greated us at the door and gave us a tour of the house. Very sweet! The location was a short walk to downtown. It was such a neat experience to stay in one of the many historic homes of Savannah, GA. Definitely would recommend. 😊

    Maddy2020-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer has great recommendations and a cute balcony to drink morning coffee.

    Rachel2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer's is the best deal in Savannah! She is a thoughtful hostess, the room is comfy, the house has a great balcony, and the location is convenient. Loved it.

If booked please see my other listing Cabin Apartment 2 under profile link. Your own private retreat in the city. An urban cabin designed as an open modern apartment. Practical elements share the space with a few timeless pieces. A galley kitchen provides all the necessities, and the extra long claw foot tub makes it complete. Floor to ceiling windows look out onto an expansive and peaceful garden with beautiful natural light all day. It is situated separately behind a 1914 colonial revival house, and both share a large wooded lot with mature water oaks. Nightly rate includes occupancy tax.
This is a bright and open 'loft' space as your own apartment in a private garden setting, all centrally located in Savannah's Victorian district, within the Thomas Square neighborhood. The best description is an urban cabin. I strive to keep it as open as possible for less clutter and still provide you with a comfortable stay. There are practical, modern elements mixed with vintage pieces that hold their own in the space. There is a galley kitchen with a fridge and stovetop oven. The windows provide for great natural light all day, and for any afternoon thunderstorms it's the best view on the property. The garden is expansive and very peaceful. It's situated behind a large colonial revival house (1914), and both sit on a 1/4 acre lot. There are 70 ft tall water oaks that shade the property. And open as it is, it feels very much like a private retreat. If the space is available I will give a discount to visiting writers for longer stays of a week or more. If you are looking to book for a month or longer, I can also provide a discounted rate. Please inquire further when you are looking to book. This is as central as you can get south of the historic squares, less the congestion. There is a city bus line (#14) that stops on the corner of Abercorn and 35th, but otherwise it is 5 minutes by car from here to River Street, 15 minutes by bike (with a dedicated bike lane on opposite corner), and about half hour if your hoofing it (unless you stop for a beer to escape the midday sun). There will be a small variety of breakfast items provided, usually including organic or locally sourced coffee, milk, juice, eggs, cereal, and some beverages. (Note: there are shades and curtains on every window for privacy. I intentionally edit out any televisions, but wifi is provided in case you want to stream movies or music on your own wireless device.) If there is no availability on the calendar, you may try the upstairs unit (which does have a small TV and cable): https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1133081 THANK YOU to past guests, Mike and Olivia from Chicago, for providing me with beautiful new listing photographs. The main photos in the series were taken by Mike Killion from Chicago.
This is in the Thomas Square neighborhood, situated between Forsyth Park to the north and the Starland District to the south. Originally one of Savannah's streetcar districts, it developed in the early 1900s as the city expanded southward. Within walking distance to many great restaurants, including Cotton & Rye, Local 1110, Elizabeth's, Blowing Smoke, Back in the Day, Starland Cafe, Bull St. Taco, Atlantic, and Sandfly BBQ. Also near Bull Street galleries and a few of SCAD's major buildings.
  • We had a lovely stay in the Cabin. It is well kept and so cute. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and soaking in the beauty and peacefulness of their garden and backyard. Also, very thankful for the cruiser bikes that were provided- had so much fun riding around in town. Would highly recommend!

    Chelsea2020-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend Richard’s place! He let us use his bikes to get around the city, as well as his beach umbrellas, cooler, and beach towels! We had everything we needed for our stay. Thanks so much Richard!

    Hannah2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Richard was a fantastic host. He was available to meet us and show us around the place and how everything worked. When we asked him he had great suggestions on places to eat and things to do. He also has binders with menus and books to make choices easier for his guests. The room is artfully decorated with a chic rustic charm. I have back problems so I am usually anxious about the beds in air b&b’s, but I slept like a baby on this one. Comfortable with higher end linens and multiple pillow density options to suit his guests’ preferences. Richard also had a French press coffee maker with coffee and all the add-ins needed including nondairy and organic options, as well as other snack options. This was really appreciated after our long drive. We used the bikes that were available to us and rode all around the city. Use the bikes! So fun and the best way to see everything. The tub was amazing! He had everything you would need to stay in for the entire trip if you wanted to. Best place to stay for love birds or people needing a fun place to launch from for all the great eats in Savannah.

    Talia2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Richards place is very charming and the view of the gardens is worth the stay alone. Great location to many restaurants. I’d recommend in a heart beat!

    Rebecca2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The Carriage House was the perfect home base during our trip to Savannah. Richard was far and away one of the best Airbnb hosts we've stayed with. He went above and beyond in every facet of the trip in order to be accommodating and thoughtful. From providing in-unit amenities, activity and restaurant tips, parking support, bicycles for spinning around, and many other small gestures, Richard made our four-day visit a delight. Geographically, the house is in the heart of Savannah, with food, drink, and sightseeing accessible in every direction (walking!). We'd return to this property time and again and fully recommend to other travelers.

    Lauren2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Richard’s place is very cool—open and modern with great lighting. The highlight of the space is the beautiful, functional, and well-appointed claw foot tub. Perfect spot for a romantic get away. (Might be a smidge challenging if traveling with a platonic friend, given the lay out of the space.) The carriage house is centrally located to lots of things, and we were able to walk all over the city. Would absolutely stay here again!

    Anastasia2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place! The layout was very nice and the decor was awesome (my wife and I took pictures to bring back ideas for our own house). Richard was great and left everything you would need for a nice vacation. He was very responsive. My wife left her pillow and he mailed it back just hours after we contacted him. I would note that, if you are wanting to spend much time on Broughton (something you will probably want to check out) you’ll have a good 30min walk. The walk is very nice and I actually enjoyed it, but, if you don’t want it, you can Uber inexpensively.

    Jaxon2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Richard’s cabin apartment was everything we were looking for and so much more! We could’ve spent the entire trip in the apartment it was so beautifully decorated and felt like home. The clawfoot tub was an amazing touch, I could literally lay in it for hours. The kitchen was stocked with little things like orange juice, yogurt, granola, teas and even had almond milk, which was so nice! On top of it all, the outdoor space was so romantic. Richard was such a sweet host and so communicative! And the location made it so easy to get downtown, in a 15-20min walk or in Uber’s as little as $5. There were so many cute coffee shops nearby too. I’m already recommending this place to so many friends and hoping to visit again soon!

This is the carriage house of a federal style row-house that's walking distance to everything Downtown Savannah has to offer. The mattress is Tuft & Needle memory foam with cool percale sheets. There is free street parking (rare in downtown) on Liberty and surrounding streets. The house is equipped with a Roku Smart TV that has a Chromecast and cable so you can watch any content you'd like and a Google Home setup so you can ask questions, set alarms, and listen to music by voice command.
A bohemian get-away, the space has a full Calphalon cookware and bakeware set. The Bodum Automatic replicates a beautiful classic pour-over. There's also Chicago Cutlery for all the slicing and dicing. The TV is a smart TV with live Xfinity, access to all your apps and has a Chromecast Ultra for 4k streaming. We offer Brooklinen super-plus towels and robes for cozy lounging and a full suite of personal care products by Public Goods that are free of every harmful chemical under the sun and scented with just essential oils. We offer Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, Lotion, Sunscreen, Facial Cleanser, Witch Hazel, Toothpaste, Tooth Brushes, and Razors for your convenience.
Quiet part of town that is safe and at the eastern middle of Downtown Savannah. There are a few great neighborhood eateries on the block and everything else is walking distance.

    Severi2020-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Super thankful the place was available! The location was perfect - within walking distance of both the river and Forsyth park. I stayed while doing some work and had to make several conference calls. The internet was great and the kitchen had everything I needed for making small meals in during social distancing. Everything was sparklingly clean and felt homey and cozy.

  • Super clean place that feels homey and comfortable in Savannah!! Loved our stay here.

  • We had a great stay at Steven’s place. Easy check-in, ample parking. Clean, super comfy bed, and nice touches like coffee and washer/dryer! We spent lots of time inside due to COVID-19, but it couldn’t have been a cozier stay! Thanks for having us!

    Lauren2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Steven’s space is stylish and in a great location! I had no issues finding street parking or following his instructions.

Distance here! Propose here! Inspire here! Love it here. A Premium magical space with six skylights with views of stars and whimsical oaks and priority access to open-air treehouse. Nestled in a historic fishing village just minutes from the hustle and bustle tourism of Savannah. Enjoy a clawfoot tub en suite. Use the kitchen. Listen to records. Pet the cats. If booked, please check out the on-site equally extravagant Parlor Room https://airbnb.com/h/diamond-oaks-treehouse-parlor-room
This property is nestled in a unique area of Savannah often overlooked on famous Bonaventure Road, half a mile from Bonaventure Cemetery. The locals cruise up and down the road on the weekends. Much more space and quiet than the central historic district. This area was the local fishing village and you can still get shrimp for 5 dollars a pound and cook them on the grill. The suite is an attic conversion with 6 skylights looking out at sky and magical oak branches drenched with Spanish moss. (if it is booked, please check out the Parlor Room) There is a porch on one side and an entire triangle of picture windows on the other. Brand new pillow-top Queen size bed for a single or couple and a 32 in. Smart TV. Wifi, parking, 4 porches, a tree house (yes, an open-air treehouse that you can elect to sleep in), and more in what many say is their "favorite house in Savannah" With your permission, other guests may want to play in the treehouse too, but it is clear that Skylight Suite guests have priority. Even though there are windows and skylights everywhere, there are curtains and shutters you can use if you wish, but honestly no one can see in because you are up in the trees. I encourage letting the light pour in! You can use my kayaks and bicycles, have a fire in the backyard, or maybe even grill something. I am flexible! The suite has its own door upstairs that separates the bathroom, reading nook, and bedroom from the rest of the house. I suggest always keeping the door closed to keep out the wonderful managers, our cats. Tink and Poof are the kids and Wei is the old man. Downstairs kitchen is shared. We now have a Whole Foods a mile away so most food and drink is natural and organic. But above all, the best way to learn about this home is to read the reviews on both rooms. To date, it has been featured in Savannah Magazine, South Magazine, Glamour, and This Old House. I did most of the work on the house. I am a poet and artist so the vision is very inspired by that. There are mementos from my world travels in every space. Imagine having to dust such a space! And be shrouded by magnificent oaks and magical moss makes upkeep all the more challenging. But you, the guest are worth it. So we go the extra mile. We are also animal lovers and have cats. Presently there is old man Wei, and two new little girl kittens, Tink and Poof.
My neighborhood is often overlooked by tourists so you get the benefit of a wonderfully intimate experience with the "real" South, complete with shrimp boats, shacks, and mansions. Ask us about Savannah Secrets. We love our community here in Thunderbolt and we love our unique businesses. Savannah is wonderful as well, but we encourage you to explore our community. You have landed in a unique place that many people unfortunately miss. Here is a little blurb from our local museum which you should visit. It is only two blocks away on the corner of Mechanics and Victory: The Town of Thunderbolt, a small town who owes its name to a legend of a lightning strike that created a freshwater spring on the Wilmington bluff. Native Americans were found to be among the first inhabitants. Thunderbolt was a settlement which evolved into a shipping point for local plantation needs which also serviced the river traffic. In 1856, the Town of Thunderbolt was incorporated as Warsaw and then began its history as a processing port for the fishing community. In 1890, Georgia State College was founded for the education of African Americans. This college continues to be a historically black institution and is known today as Savannah State University. In 1921, Warsaw's name was restored to Thunderbolt and the seafood processing continued to play a large part in this community's development. In 1939, yacht racing became popular and saw the construction of a yacht basin. Annually, the "Blessing of the Fleet" was celebrated until recent years and shrimping evolved into the primary seafood product. Today, the Town of Thunderbolt remains a unique community with a distinct personality all of its own. Families dwell in this town for many generations which becomes a part of our town's rich history. We do have our own businesses and I am actually a professor at the above mentioned Savannah State University. Here is a list of local businesses that you can support! FOOD (everything is in walking distance): Tubby’s Tank House on River Drive. Seafood with lots or porches and a party atmosphere. Take a left out the door and go a half mile. Tortuga on River Drive. Quieter and more quaint and finer dining. Just before Tubby’s on the left. Walk across the street to our local park and have a look at the Intracoastal Waterway. Coach’s Corner on Victory. Need some pub food to check out the game? The best sports bar in town is right around the corner. Take a right out the door, a left on to Whatley, and a right on Victory and there you will see it! Thai Restaurant on Victory. Across the street from Coach’s Corner. Upscale authentic Thai! Desposito’s at the boat landing across the river. Fresh seafood in old school humble setting. You might want to drive here simply because you have to go over the bridge. But it is a two minute drive. Really. Take a left out the house, a left on Victory over the bridge, and then your first left and wind back to the boat landing. You will see it there. Convenience: There is a Parker’s and Chu’s Convenience store/gas stations on the corner of Whatley and Victory. Fresh Veggies? Shrimp? Vintage Shops? Tattoos? On the corner of Mechanics you will see an old gas station and to the right is a YES, a boutique with vintage stuff. It is our little bohemian corridor. On the weekends on the corner of Mechanics and Victory you will find a fresh produce stand. And further down from Tubby’s on the left you can buy shrimp right off the boat! If these are not available, of course there is a Whole Foods. Head west on Victory and take a left under the Truman Parkway Overpass. Along the way you will see some mini-malls, pharmacies, a Starbucks, and many other commercial areas all within two miles. And if you want to really remember your visit, get a tattoo at Riverside Ink. OF COURSE: And of course, you must check out the historic Bonaventure Cemetery, but don’t forget to watch the sunset at Honey Park right around the corner at the end of Mechanics! Enjoy your stay in Historic THUNDERBOLT! For other events and general history, be sure to check out WWW.THUNDERBOLTGA.NET

  • Such an adorable place! We stayed in the skylight suite and enjoyed every minute of it. From the cute little touches like the record player to the awesome treehouse with the hammock and bed, everything was so well thought out. We will definitely be back!

    Shay2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Honestly it’s a fantasy being here. Savannah itself is amazing and beautiful but I could have never left the house and been just as satisfied. It’s an adventure in itself. It’s worth it I promise. Living there would be a dream for me.

    Baylor2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Book an extra day just to stay at the house and look at all the details in the decorations.

    Ryan2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We’ve stayed at a nice B&B in Savannah before but this Airbnb was on a completely other level. More of an experience than anything. First thing I did was go up in the treehouse and take a nap under the oak trees and Spanish moss blowing in the wind.. that alone was worth staying here. We’re not a huge fan of cats but they were very friendly and no issue at all, we quite liked them. We’ll be staying here again if we ever get the chance.

    Leif2020-03-07T00:00:00Z

The Starlander resides within a 1920s townhouse that's part home (mine), part guest house, part experimental art project, and a little bit library (I have a few books). I've travelled to over 70 countries, and my favorite stays were not in hotels, but in small guest houses and hostels with private rooms available. I liked the home-grown character of these places, and the chance to interact with the hosts and other guests. I hope to give others a similar opportunity in Savannah at the Starlander.
I call this one "The Coffee Suite" because it's downstairs along with the full kitchen and front sitting room (and front porch), and therefore the most convenient suite for getting up and enjoying your first cup of coffee in the morning! To be clear - YES - the suite includes its own private bathroom accessed only by those staying in the Coffee Suite.
The walkable Starland District is home to creative professionals, art students, restaurants, and galleries (and soon a food truck court and a couple of micro-breweries). It lies within the Thomas Square Historic District, the first "streetcar suburb" of Savannah, just south of downtown proper. Together, they are the coolest upcoming area of Savannah - new stuff is popping up all the time.
  • We had a super great time with Jason! His house is absolutely beautiful in an amazing location that made us never want to leave. There was even plenty of activities to do in the house like chess which we played nonstop haha. Definitely will be coming back! Thanks again!

    Nicolle2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was great. The unit itself is very well kept, clean and open. The entry process was extremely easy and as soon as I contacted the owner to let them know I had not received any information about check-in they were quick to get me what I needed. My only complaint is the 10:00 AM check out. I totally understand that the unit needs to be flipped, but 10:00 AM is early. Overall it was a good experience.

    Christopher2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer's loft is right in the thick of the action in Savannah. Within walking distance to everything you need and close to public transportation and tour bus stops. The loft was exactly as advertised - modern, clean and with all the amenities you need. Only two words of warning: 1. because you are right downtown, parking will be an issue if you are driving. Be prepared to "be creative" or pay a fair daily amount (street parking free from 8 pm to 8 am) 2. never did figure out the TV set-up and the signal was very choppy. Normally would not be a concern, but we had a very soggy Savannah stay, so we would have liked to have that option on occasion. A great place to stay when visiting Savannah! Thx, Jennifer.

Perfect for the perfect Savannah experience. Outstanding Location. You can walk to all attractions. Renovated 800 sq. ft. Safely park your car out front and no need to drive anywhere. Granite, Brass, Old Pine, Roku streaming, QUEEN mattress, new appliances, W/D. Deck. Full Kitchen. Safe. Charming. Romantic. Private deck. SVR-00479
It's romantic and practical, feeling like vacation, yet has all you need to feel at home. The deck is a wonderful place to have your morning coffee, dining or just being outside. The mural of Paris is actually wallpaper. It's private, yet there's another apartment above you, so partying here through the night won't work. Let all the great bars and restaurants serve you as you have an amazing time. Usually the only time you hear your neighbors is between 7-10pm. But it's an old house without modern insulation between the floors, so being tolerant and mindful of this will help your experience. The bed is outstanding and there are many styles of pillows to choose from. The kitchen is fully functional for cooking with pots/pans/knives/utensils/etc. There's a bath/shower and I provide 2 and 1 pert shampoo and conditioner also body wash for your convenience. There is also a pack and play in bedroom closet. Due to fire code, sadly I had to plug the flue to the fireplaces. Thousands of guests have enjoyed this space as expressed in the reviews.
The apartment is in a quiet pocket of the historic district. It’s a short stroll to and from River Street. Many locals live here and are happy to speak with visitors offering recommendations and friendliness.
  • Wonderful stay, everything was as expected to her description, in the heart of Savannah in a nice area

  • This is a great option for anyone visiting Savannah. The location is great, parking is easy, and the space is clean. The host is very attentive and quick to respond to any needs Getting in and out of the spot was also very simple. Kudos

    Joel2020-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the place, good location a block from a nice square, the back patio and screen door were great things to have. Amazing coffee provided by the host. Highly recommend.

    Erik2020-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, large space. If you set the a/c fan to “on,” it helps mask the downtown nighttime noise. We found free parking a block away.

    Margaret2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I spent 9 days at Diedrich’s place and really enjoyed the location. You’re in the midst of the beautiful architecture of the historic district yet the main street is only a few blocks away. We walked everywhere! The apartment is attractive and large enough that 2 people have lots of space. The parking app really helps because you will be ticketed if you don’t pay for parking. Availability of parking right outside the unit wasn’t a problem. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Cha Bella, one of the higher end restaurants we discovered on our food tour. We also hiked on Skidaway Island and visited the art galleries at Bluffton. We fell in love with Savannah and will definitely stay at Dietrich’s place again. Highly recommend it! Catherine, Canada

  • Please use what I just wrote on the previous page.

    Jacqueline2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this place. It was as pictured. Great location, easy to walk everywhere from the river to Forsyth Park. We parked and never used the car. As others have stated, you can download the app for parking in front of the house. But we parked for free about 3 blocks away. Comfy bed, decent shower, and Roku! You are on the middle floor so you can hear footsteps overhead when people are walking around. It wasn't annoying but it was noticeable.

Impeccable renovation with perfect modern amenities while still maintaining many of the historic details of this 1860 home. Right downtown, so walking to all the best restaurants, sights, and more are right outside the door! SVR-00958
From the exposed beam ceilings that have been meticulously preserved to the comfy beds and clawfoot bathtub, this beautiful downtown home makes for the perfect Savannah experience. The location can't be beat, walkable to everything!
This charming home is smack in the middle of some of Savannah's most historic downtown properties. With that being said, guests can expect the normal hustle and bustle of a thriving downtown area right outside their door. If you are a guest that is looking for a more quiet, rural location, we don't think this home is the right one for you, as noise may be a problem...but, if you are looking to be right in the middle of everything downtown Savannah has to offer, we would be so excited to host you!!
  • Sarah is an amazing host who will make sure you are having a great time. The house is beautiful, well decorated, thoughtfully stocked and located conveniently in the historic district.

The Rivolta, which translates to "uprising" in Italian, is your own unique tower room featuring a swinging bed, a vaulted round open ceiling and a view from the top of the trees. Cute, cozy, and most of all romantic, the room is perched in the canopy of oaks, atop the corner of our grand historic home. For fun, this room's queen size bed is suspended from the ceiling and offers lots of movement - so if you are looking for a truly unique experience, welcome to The Isetta Inn!
This room is located on the third floor of what we call the Isetta Inn, a grand three-story 1908 Savannah home (originally called the Tyson House) which has operated as a boarding house for most of its life. Lovingly restored over the course of 18 months by long time Airbnb hosts and opened in Fall 2019, the Isetta Inn offers its guests a truly unique experience. Named for the classic BMW Isetta bubble car of the 1950s which operates as our mascot and logo, the house is full of eclectic touches of all sorts from vintage tandem bicycles to suspended beds. Lovers of fun decor and an old-school sense of Airbnb community will be amazed by The Alfa Romeo room and the entire experience offered by the Isetta Inn and our team.
We are located right in the heart of Savannah's Starland Arts District within short walking distance of many great bars, restaurants, galleries, and vintage shops. Only two blocks away from Savannah's new food truck court Starland Yard, we’re close by shops like Gypsy World and Starlandia, upscale restaurants like The Vault, The Atlantic, and Elizabeth on 37th, galleries like Sulfur Studios and Forest and Fin, cafes like Back in the Day Bakery, local spots like The Wormhole and Big Bon Bodega - the list goes on and on!
  • Savannah's best-kept secret, and our new home away from home when we need it. Great space, and a room that left my fears hanging by a thread, wink wink, there is a hanging bed. The house was xactly what we needed, and so much more.

    Nick2020-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • The decor is breathtaking and the fine detail to every part of the home is truly something next level. Only the mind of a genius could create what is the Isetta Inn.

    Jake2020-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house with awesome amenities! Check in was easy and everything we needed was there. The suspended bed was an awesome experience. Thanks for the stay!

  • HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The Isetta Inn is an elegant gem in the heart of Savannah. Great place for a romantic getaway or a thoughtful retreat. We stayed in the room with the swinging bed which is cozy but stunning- you’ll never see anything like it! There are two sparkling clean shared bathrooms on the same level with the room with thoughtful toiletries like make up remover wipes and contact solution. The free bikes were the perfect way to get around the city and explore all the beautiful parks and gardens. Great dining options in walking distance -we had dinner at The Vault and then wandered over to Foxy Loxy Cafe for some coffee and live music in the garden. This place is perfect! We’ll be back but perhaps we’ll spring for one of the larger rooms.

  • ADORABLE stay. Beautiful home in a beautiful location. Most things are within walking distance. Downtown is a little far. My friend and I walked it one day it is a BEAUTIFUL walk. But after the first day we would Uber downtown. The room was decorated so cute. Small touches like ear plugs and post cards were just too cute. Amenities were great. The bathroom was clean and they had soap, shampoo, conditioner, face wash, tampons etc. very thoughtful touches. Highly recommend staying here. Would love to stay again (:

Alton met me at his yacht and provided a quick "how to" and tour and was available for questions my entire stay. The yacht was extremely clean and incredibly comfortable. • Very cool experience for our first time staying on a boat! We loved the lounging areas inside and out. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook, it was very quiet at night and we loved having coffee and afternoon drinks in the captain’s seat :)

    Luis2020-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • A hidden gem in the Airbnb world. Very nice place to stay to relax and unwind. Alton was very welcoming from the first moment he contacted us. True southern hospitality that made us feel like we were friends of the family coming for a visit! Added bonus was the welcome gift from his wife!!!

    Melissa2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was very accurately described in the Airbnb post/ad therefore there were no surprises. Alton met us and explained how everything worked on his boat. This was our 1st Airbnb stay but will definitely use it in the future.

    Beth2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing experience unlike any other. We had a great time. Thanks, Alton!

  • This place is a great value for the price and in an excellent location! We walked almost everywhere. The patio and jacuzzi were super nice and the perfect way to unwind at the end of the day. The room was really clean and had all the basic amenities we needed. Really couldn’t have asked for more for a quick weekend getaway. It was wonderful!

    Elise2020-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot!

    John2020-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! We could walk to everything-enjoyed simply sitting in Forsyth Park in the late afternoon. Communication was fast and check in was easy. Suite was roomy and comfortable. We loved the hot tub in the courtyard! Reserving several rooms with friends or family would be fun since the courtyard has a grill and long dinner table to use. Parking directly in front of the house was easy using the Savannah Park app. Would definitely stay again when in Savannah.

    David2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • The location was truly incredible! Walked basically everywhere and made it easy to stop by the house when we needed to. Parking was easy to find. We got lucky and the first night it seemed like no one was staying above us! The second night we had a louder group and as others have mentioned that can be a lot. But totally manageable and worth it for that amazing location. Would recommend, we had the best time in Savannah!

    Brenna2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Very close to it all, private and peaceful!

Combine history with comfort! Come stay with us and experience all that this beautiful city has to offer! This room is suitable for 2 (queen bed) there is also a long chaise lounge in the room. It is adorned with vintage prints and local art.
If you are seeking the hustle and bustle of River Street, this may not be your bag. BUT if you are looking for a true Savannah experience surrounded by local businesses and families....this ones for you! This area was first developed for middle class street car commuters-and is one of the most exciting neighborhoods in Savannah right now (per the New York Times).
This house is located in a diverse neighborhood in an up and coming part of Savannah with one of the lowest crime rates in the city. However, it is an inner city environment and not a gated community.
  • 5 Stars is not enough to give for this space. The perfect place to stay during my visit to Savannah. Would have loved to stay longer.

  • Jordan's place is gorgeous. You can tell the restoration process was a labor of love, and everything she has done both honors old Savannah charm, while bringing an element of eclecticism through her choice of art and decor. As a former Savannahian and SCAD student, I felt right at home here. It's in a convenient location on a lovely street in the downtown area. Jordan was kind and attentive during these unprecedented times, and I am so grateful.

    Jen2020-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Jordan’s place is very authentic. Would stay again sometime !

    Zachary2020-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • The place- clean, spacious, quiet, inviting. The location- close enough to drive to everything. The host- flexible and accommodating. I enjoyed the room quite a bit being upstairs and away yet having everything at my fingertips.

    Erin2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Just like everyone else said, Jordan was such a wonderful host. She gave us a lot of tips for places to eat, which was so helpful! I always love going where locals recommend. She was so friendly and gave me and my mom a tour through her awesome historical home. The location was really close to the heart of downtown too! Jordan made our Savannah experience better :).

  • If you love all the features and flaws of historic homes like we do, this house is great. Big rooms, tall ceilings, great stairs, architectural details, art, and super clean. Centralized neighborhood undergoing revitalization including renovations here with a friendly and thoughtful host. Great value of a safe home base to launch into historic downtown, plus nearby walk-able hang outs. Also a nice room to spend a night in if you need to recharge!

King Penthouse VIP Suite✦Clawfoot Tub✦Downtown Boutique Hotel✦ The Present Hotel Group just launched this luxury boutique hotel collection in Savannah. The mix of historic and edgy design comes from HGTV Designer Elizabeth Demos in collaboration with the Baby Grand Agency. From your front window you''ll overlook Crawford Square with Horse-Drawn carriages passing twice an hour. Enjoy the custom, boutique art collection. Take comfort in the plush beds & linens. Have a drink in the private courtyard before taking a short walk to Downtown Dining & Nightlife. This estate is truly a piece of Savannah history and has maintained so many original details. Despite these beautiful nods to the past, there are also so many modern updates including a brand new luxurious en suite bathroom, brand new designer furnishings, and individually climate controlled rooms - important in Savannah!  Your Penthouse (4th Floor) suite is private with it's own private entrance from a common interior hallway. This beyond spacious suite features a luxurious King bed, Queen sleeper sofa, and work desk area w/ treetop views out to beautiful Crawford Square. An en-suite connected Instaworthy bathroom is the size of most hotel rooms and houses a gorgeous clawfoot tub & separate tiled shower. Original open beam ceilings, stained glass window, marble fireplace, and unique inetrior design finishes add to this suite's popularity.  Relax and have a cocktail or glass of wine in the courtyard. If you''re feeling social, sit down for a cigar with the locals in the gazebo across in Crawford Square.
Beneath a canopy of Civil War-era Live Oak trees draped in Spanish Moss lies Crawford Square. One of Savannah’s storied 22 historic squares, it’s home to remnants of the old cistern system as well as the city's oldest basketball court. It’s also home to The Present, just steps across the quiet street. On any given afternoon, you’ll find neighbors enjoying cigars under the gazebo with a glass of wine while kids play in the square. Feeling social? Pull up to the benches with a glass of wine — the locals will love to have you. Restaurants, bars, fitness centers, and parks are all walkable from The Present, as so is downtown Savannah and the Savannah River. For the ultimate day-trip, the beautiful beaches of Tybee Island are just a 25-minute drive away. Happy exploring.
  • Great place to stay, within walking distance to downtown.

    Taylor2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect for our getaway. A quiet neighborhood despite being so close to Savannah nightlife. SO CLEAN and comfortable. Didn’t want to leave. Will definitely stay again if I’m in Savannah.

  • Space was great! The bed and pillows were like a cloud. I think the bathroom area was my favorite part. Not having a bathroom door was no problem for me. Be prepared to be exhausted from walking up all the stares to the 4th floor. Fast communication with host. They were very friendly!

Stella Blue is located in the hip & bustling Starland Art District. She was built in 1915 & recently lovingly restored keeping all of her historic Savannah charm in tact. She is walking distance to trendy shops, cafes, restaurants & bars & biking distance to anywhere in downtown or midtown Savannah: 3/4 mile from Forsyth Park, less than 2 miles from River Street, 5 minutes from I-16, 19 miles to Tybee Island & 12 miles to the airport. - SVR-00647 - PLEASE READ ENTIRE AD BEFORE BOOKING
Stella Blue has an open floor plan with an exposed ceiling giving the cozy cottage a spacious feel. Century old original heart pine floors, wainscoting, and exposed beams provide that old Savannah charm & warmth. The living area has an Amish fireplace, a comfortable full sleeper sofa, a small TV with cable & a dvd player. The living space flows right into the sleeping space with a queen size bed, antique dresser & armoire. There is a surprisingly spacious & bright bathroom with a new tile shower & plenty of towels. The kitchen features an antique kitchenette with a small stove, mini fridge (no ice maker/tiny freezer) & enamel sink. All of your basic cooking & eating needs are provided. A space saving murphy table folds neatly away & provides a place to enjoy a fresh cooked meal, extra food prep space or a laptop workspace. The back porch offers 2 adirondack chairs that are perfect for sipping your morning coffee or evening cocktails. The large open backyard provides ample parking. The space is ideal for solo travelers, couples, couples with no more than two children, or 4 close adults (family/close friends).
This is an up and coming neighborhood dubbed the Starland Arts District. I live in the neighborhood & I love walking & biking to all of the restaurants & shops nearby! Please note that there are bars close by that can be active & noisy. There is so much close by that it's hard to know where to start but I'll list some of my favorites. As far as restaurants go I have to start with Starland Cafe. It is directly across the street & they have some of the best sandwiches & salads in town. Back in the Day Bakery is just a stones throw away with some delicious baked goods & coffee. The Atlantic just opened up less than a block away. It offers fine dining without the fine dining prices & stuffy atmosphere. Plus it has a really great fire pit outside. The Vault is an Asian fusion restaurant right down the street with some seriously delicious eats & even more delicious decor. The best burger in town is just a few blocks away at The Green Truck Pub. They offer local grass fed beef burgers & a pretty awesome beer list as well. The Florence owned by celebrity chef Hugh Acheson is right down the road & they have hit the nail on the head with their Southern inspired Italian menu. Elizabeth's on 37th offers fine dining in a historic Savannah Mansion. And if that sounds a little too fancy for you, don't fret... The Wormhole is just a couple of blocks away & it will scratch your dive bar, live music itch. I could go on & on but you get the point... There's plenty of delicious eats & drinks within walking distance & countless others if you decide to hop on your bike. As far as shops go, there are several vintage and consignment shops in very close proximity. The Vicar's Wife is right around the corner. She has the cutest collection of antiques & handmade jewelry at great prices. A vintage clothing boutique, Gypsy World, is only about a block away. Another great vintage clothing store that I absolutely love, House of Strut, is just down the street. If you've got an event you are going to, go see Erica & she will style you and hook you up with some seriously awesome vintage duds. Picker Joe's Antique Mall is a few blocks down. Two Women & a Warehouse consignment and antique store is just a little further up the road. If you're into vinyl, Graveface Records is only a block away. And if you need any art supplies, Starlandia Art Supply is right next door. Again I could go on but you should just come check it all out for yourself!
  • Nothing too fancy, but that’s the beauty of it. You feel like you’re right at home. It’s comfortable, and has a certain nostalgia to it. Plus Emily is amazing! I’d give my experience at this location 5 stars, no doubt.

    Caleb2020-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Emily’s place was beautifully renovated while still having that warm inviting old town savannah feeling that I was looking for. All the comforts of home were available as described. I didn’t have to bring much aside from my clothing and food for a 3 night stay. Emily was very sweet and accommodating. I will definitely add this place to one of my favorites!

    Nikita2020-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks Emily. My friend & I were in love with the place. All the antique furniture & appliances reminded me of summers at my great grandma’s house. Walking in was like coming home; I have absolutely no complaints. I also loved that there were so many cleaning chemicals of different brands because everybody has their own preferred cleaner that they grew up with. All the suggestions for places to go were completely spot on. Loved my experience. Will most definitely book again before the year is out! Such a wonderful vybe.

    Edward2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot in a great neighborhood with lots of stuff within walking distance.

    James2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Emily’s Stella Blue has so much charm with the exposed beam ceiling, antique furnishings & wooden floors! We were so cozy there for our 1 night stay and chose to dine in using the enamel stove/refrigerator/sink combination. The bed was comfy & had the softest sheets ever! The place was immaculately clean and decorated so cute! It’s in an area surrounded by local entertainment, great restaurants and late night activity!

    Mary2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I just loved our stay here and we highly recommend Emily’s bungalow. Here are just a couple things to consider not meant to discourage only to inform. The neighborhood is made up of young people and so there is a lot going on, even into the night. You will hear some music and voices outside. Also, the kitchen is really only set up for minimal cooking... which for us was fine because we like to experience the local cuisine when we travel... there is a small vintage fridge, which was fine for our needs. Everything was very clean and Emily has gone out of her way to make her guests feel both welcome and comfortable. She has made a binder full of suggestions for your visit to Savannah. All in all a great place to stay.

    Laura2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Emily’s home was great! And all her recommendations she leaves at the house are spot on! Perfect weekend gateway !

  • Wonderful hosts! Very welcoming and easy going. Their pups are so cute as well! I always make sure to be extra conscientious when using someone else’s kitchen (amongst other amenities) and do all my dishes immediately after use but in the morning when I was finishing cleaning up, the host said to leave them and she had to do hers anyways. They were friendly and made us feel at home. 10/10. Very clean, welcome snacks, tv, super comfortable bed, 5 stars for everything.

***Hi, the check in time is to provide me a grace period for cleaning after work. You are welcome to "check in" earlier (after confirming with me) but the apartment may not be ready until 7 pm.*** Perched on the second floor, the apartment is as warm and welcoming as the neighborhood. Located a few blocks from Forsyth Park, it is just a mile from the downtown historic district.
If you are driving in, there is free street parking. The apartment is on the second floor and is it not ADA-fit so unfortunately, it would not be ideal if you have mobility concerns. Please keep in mind that the apartment is tiny, so if you would prefer a space that is private, away from the host, this is not it. In fact, this Airbnb is best for a younger guest just looking for a place to sleep. There is a full kitchen as well as a living area but no dining area. All kitchen and home appliances (including laundry!) are available to you. All the cleaning products are either natural or free of dyes and perfumes. There is only one bathroom which you'll be sharing with your host. The room is fitted with a full-sized bed. The closet is accessible and there are hanging hooks on the door if you would like to unpack your items but no dresser or chest of drawers.
Since the apartment is not in the heart of downtown, our neighborhood lacks bumper-to-bumper traffic, excessive pedestrian traffic, and tourists. Instead, you will have to settle for truly local bars, coffee shops, and restaurants.
  • Janine’s communication was easy and always fast. She had great local suggestions for things to do, restaurants, bars etc and had little notes around her place for easy directions on where things were to make us the most comfortable. She decorated her historic apartment to be really eclectic and fun!

    Lily2020-03-22T00:00:00Z

  • I am so grateful for having had the opportunity to stay at Sonder Savannah. This exceeded my expectations entirely. I felt at home in this space. The Sonder team is excellent- quick responses and extremely accommodating! Magnificent location! Truly wonderful!

    Nicole2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had so much fun in Savannah the place location is perfect! And it’s very cosy, also it was very easy to get there.

    Cristina2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as described. Right in the middle of everything in the historic district. It is right next to what seems to be a night club so just expect it to be loud at night, as mentioned above.

    Stephanie2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed during the week so we didn't notice any noise from the first floor night club. However, as small town folks, my husband and I did notice a fair bit of street noise, which I would say is worth the trade off for such a prime location. The host did provide us ear plugs and a noise machine to combat this! The apartment was easy to access, clean, safe and close to all the downtown shopping and restaurants!

Free WIFI. Free street parking. Coffee provided!
The room is quaint and minimalist. It has a double bed, bedside table, small dresser, hanging rack, and extra chair. It’s at the very front of the house next to the main living room and balcony.
  • The place smells great and is bright and clean. The room is very cozy as well. The price is also very affordable.

  • This house is amazing! She is definitely the best host! The room was so clean and cute! The location was amazing! We are definitely gonna stay there again!

  • Really nice room and overall vibes. Loved the balcony and great area if you wanna get away from the touristy vibes.

  • We were looking for a cheap place to crash for a few days in Savannah. Jennifer was very responsive, and her place was an easy walk to Forsyth Park and downtown.

    Alex2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very responsible host, answered very fast. Room is simple and nice if you need just a place to sleep in 30 minutes walking distance from the downtown. Be prepared to arrive before 10pm, or host may take a small fee for the late check-in. There are certain elementary rules of living that you need to follow, such as wash your dishes, keep personal things in your room, and take off the sheets from your bed when check-out. Overall experience staying at this place was good. We liked the most the location and a nice balcony, where you can drink a good coffee offered by the host.

    Nikita2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for the price!

    Tod2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer is a great hostess, very informative and open to questions . The room and building were very clean. One also felt very safe because of all the locks. Coffee machine and fridge available

    Wolfgang2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer and Erik did a superb job of communicating prior to and during the visit. Eric met us, welcomed us and gave us an informative tour. The electronic guide book was helpful with lots of recommendations. The room was no frills as described but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It’s a great place if your looking for a clean comfortable bed after exploring Savannah!

OPEN! Beautiful bedroom in a historic and iconic Savannah home from 1888! Features a Queen bed and sweeping bay windows. Right down the hallway are two huge bathrooms shared with only two other rooms. A great way to experience Savannah in an old Victorian!
This house is one of those most iconic in this part of Savannah with beautiful marble floors and stained glass windows. I've gotten really creative with the colors and the decor and would love to host colorful, interesting people who appreciate it! Please Note: This room is located on the second floor and there is no elevator or handicapped access.
We're in a part of town most locals call the "Victorian District" which is full of beautiful 1880's - 1920's houses. We're not near River St but from here you can enjoy Savannah like a true local and feel free to explore the town on our complimentary bicycles.
  • It’s very quirky and I enjoyed the little touches. Close to some great local food spots. It was quiet and we really enjoyed it. The host was nice and timely in responding to us.

  • Such a pretty home! We were super happy with how easy this stay was. We only stayed the one night but definitely recommend it.

  • The stay at this beautiful old home made our trip to Savannah even more special. The home is also so close to downtown and very clean! Thanks Rabo for sharing your space allowing us to experience a true gem.

  • Beautiful home in a convenient location! We had a comfortable visit and would return there again.

    Dori2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place was almost like a slip back in time. It had the Savannah charm and was convenient to the historic district and many great restaurants, the Riverwalk, and nightlife. We appreciated the quick breakfast options (cereal varieties, bagels, oatmeal, juice, milk, coffee, etc.) which were healthier than other quick options so we could focus on touring and spending lunch or dinner at some of the recommendations that Rabo had listed in a binder in our room. We loved the restaurants that were recommended and the ease of coming and going. There were even bikes to ride but we were there on an unusually cold weekend. The shared bathrooms were not a problem and were well-stocked with shampoo, conditioner, facial and body washes, Qtips, makeup remover, and many other items. The location was very convenient. We would definitely stay again.

    Christa2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We met Rabo briefly when checking in. He was super friendly and helpful during the brief encounter. The house was soooo beautiful & clean. It had such a cool stylish vibe to it- it felt homey. You could tell it was decorated with love. It was also great to see guide books with ideas of things to do/ places to eat at in the area.

My home is close to Forsyth Park, the historic district, art, culture, great views, restaurants, dining and family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the location, the people, and the close sites. This home is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and groups. To highlight the amazing art community of Savannah and our beautiful home, we wanted to share a few shots recent film that was shot in our home. We are honored to be a part of this!
Brand new never hot water heater! The space is based on an open concept and it's absolutely beautiful. There is ample space for dining, cooking, entertaining and just relaxing. This home is on the third floor so just something to note if you have any trouble with stairs. Additionally the home has brand-new beds, plenty of furniture and any dishes you might need for cooking. I pride myself on the cleanliness of my rental and know you will be happy with every aspect of this home.
This neighborhood has plenty of good restaurants, shopping and most importantly Forsyth Park. It is truly a three minute walk and is the best place to have a good breakfast or just spend the day relaxing. Additionally being in the historic district we are very close to all that the city has to offer!

King Suite + Twin ✦Downtown Luxury Boutique Hotel✦ The Present Hotel Group just launched this luxury boutique hotel collection in Savannah. Your 2nd floor suite is private with it's own private entrance from a common interior hallway. Open concept layout with Luxurious King bed, Twin sleeper sofa, and sitting area. An equipped kitchenette and unique instaworthy design add to this suite's popularity.
  • Highly recommend! The Present is a beautiful, thoughtfully and tastefully decorated boutique hotel that is centrally located in a beautiful city square. Our room was beautiful, with modern decor mixed with heritage touches from the original building. Very comfortable bed, large shower, and kitchenette with everything you need for a short stay (silverware, glasses, microwave and fridge). Everything is automated - you have your own code to get into the room and the common areas, and you don’t need to interact with anyone if that is what you wish. The outdoor courtyard is a lovely, well-decorated space that is perfect for multiple groups from the different rooms to congregate without feeling crowded. We will definitely be back for a longer stay in the future!

    Amber2020-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Angelina place is adorable, very classy and modern. It was so nice of her to allow us to change our reservations once I realized I mixed the dates. The neighborhood is extremely gorgeous with houses worth over 1 million dollars. Close to many restaurants and also the historic downtown. We went during the quarantine and had a chance to drive around the neighborhood just to appreciate the beauty of the houses. Check in and out was also easy and I loved how when we booked, we could pick a 2 hours window all the way from morning to evening.

Right outside of historic Savannah in a fishing village on the Intracoastal Waterway rests Diamond Oaks Treehouse, a 1903 Cottage Style Premium Residence unlike no other. The property features two rented rooms, a vintage trailer, open-air treehouse, and resident cats that run the place. Bikes and kayaks available. You have chosen the Parlor Room: Bohemian Charm with claw foot tub and fireplace. Bathroom is 95% private! If we are over maintaining we may use your toilet, but treat it as your own.
Right outside of historic Savannah in a fishing village on the Intracoastal Waterway rests Diamond Oaks, a 1903 Cottage Style home. Located on famous Bonaventure Road, half a mile from Bonaventure Cemetery. Wifi, smart TV's, parking, 4 porches, a treehouse, a vintage camper, and more in what many say is their "favorite house in Savannah" You can use my kayaks and bicycles, have a fire in the backyard, or maybe even grill something. Pick up some shrimp off the boats for 5 bucks a pound, or use the casting net and catch your own. I am flexible! We now have a Whole Foods a mile away so the breakfast includes mostly organic food and drink. The Parlor Room features a brand new pillow top queen-size bed, period antiques, 32" flat-screen TV and lot of charm. The bathroom is yours to use as your very own. It has a clawfoot tub and waterfall sink. You are free to treat it like your private bathroom. Usually only your toilet would be shared by me or visitors. Since the treehouse is open to the elements, it is not rented on its own, rather all guests have free access to it. Guests in the Skylight Suite have priority simply because their privacy is compromised briefly by the ladder due to the skylights. That said, Parlor Room guests simply have to check with guests upstairs (if there are any) and everyone has always worked it out so all can enjoy and experience the treehouse. And if you are really bold and the weather is right, you can sleep in it! Presently there are two adult cats that hang out mostly outside, and two new little girl kittens, Tink and Poof.
Old school charm with a good mix of real people. Much more space than downtown, and much more unique, while not sacrificing the historic southern charm. Likely you are closer to the intracoastal waterway here than you would be downtown. And there are a handful of some of the best places in town. The best sports bar (Coach's Corner), the best brunch place (Tortuga), the best Thai restaurant (Chiriya's), and the best riverside eatery (Tubby's Tank House) are all walking distance.
  • Highly recommend this place to anyone considering staying here. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood near the Bonaventure Cemetery (a must-see while visiting!) and downtown Savannah is a quick jaunt away- I got there by a 20 minute bike ride. The house itself is really artistic and unique. I loved the knick knacks along the shelves, the fun designs, and the sweet cats. Chad and Kyle are also great hosts. I hope to return to this place in the future.

    Savannah2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of our best stays so far. The house, the room, the cats; all of it made our stay as beautiful as it was.

    Valerie2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • The cats were a great touch to atmosphere. We loved their good morning cuddles and playful nature. Kyle was an excellent co-host, and Chad is also simply amazing. The house is so beautiful and charming. Every time we would look around we would find something new and interesting. Greatly enjoyed our stay and plan on coming back to Savannah, bringing friends, and will continue to recommend this space to all of our traveling friends. Until next time!

    Samantha2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • The space was eclectic and unique, definitely felt like a home away from home! Would absolutely stay here again.

    Elle2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Chad's place is incredibly special. We loved all of the unique decor... It felt like we could get lost taking in all there is to see. The treehouse, the record collection and the sweet cats were icing on the cake to such a lovely home. We went for a getaway for Valentine's Day and almost didn't leave to go to our reservation downtown we were enjoying the neighborhood and home so much. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Savannah.

    Cathryn2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • What a unique stay! It was in a great location, in a nice, safe neighborhood. The house was very clean. There were some cute cats as well, and they were a great part of the stay! Chad was welcoming, but allowed us to do our thing. Can’t go wrong with this one!

    Tim2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The siren song of Diamond Oaks called me, and I will be forever glad that I answered that call. This place will change you, enchant you, humor you...most of all, it inspired me. So, nothing more to say besides an emphatic and gleeful GO!

    Sharon Kimberly2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Chads place is absolutely amazing, whimsical, quirky, filled with love and cozy, my girl and I never wanted to leave. Chad lives on premise but you won't even know. We ran into him getting ready to go out Sunday night and talked motorcycles. Oh and the cats. The cats are so awesome! They will come and cuddle with you if you want. Overall great stay, great hosts, and great cats. 10. Out of 10

This property is located in the Live Oak neighborhood, just east of the Historic Downtown District. Unlike the downtown area, this is a less affluent and much more quiet and peaceful environment. Modest, single family homes comprising mostly of cottage, craftsman and bungalow styles overlook quiet streets that receive little traffic. The neighborhood is mostly retired couples and younger families with children.
  • The pictures shown are exactly what the home looks like. It's a stylish home with lots of room to spread out. The location is great - about a 10 minute drive to the heart of the city. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Savannah!

Located on the first floor of The Deux Chevaux (a.k.a. The 2CV), a lovingly restored 1890s Victorian home in the heart of the Starland Arts District, the Bette Davis Room features abundant natural light and tall bay windows overlooking a brick lined street. Located within easy walking distance of awesome restaurants, bars, coffee shops, art galleries, and boutiques, we're also only half a mile from Savannah's famous Forsyth Park. Find us on Instagram @2cvsavannah and #2cvSavannah !
This is one of four private guest rooms in the 2CV, which share access to the kitchen, shared bathrooms, work area, lounge, front porch, and back yard. From our guests: "My husband and I absolutely loved spending our getaway weekend here! You won’t find things like this in a hotel anywhere; this was definitely money well spent! Our favorite thing that we got to do while staying in this unique Airbnb was utilizing the bikes for about six hours midway through our trip. We toured all over Savannah as far as our legs could take us stopping at shops and dining. Our favorite spots to eat were Huey’s for brunch after our bike ride and our dinner at the Elizabeth on 37th was exquisite (and a short walk). If you manage to find the password like we did you might be able to enjoy a secret speakeasy called Mata Hari for quality drinks and a good show on the weekends! Over all, our stay here was the cherry on top to our first Savannah experience!" --John and Kayla, December 2019 "Probably my favorite Airbnb yet! Had the feel of an upscale backpacker’s hostel - food, bikes, common areas to connect with other travelers, all within a beautiful historic home with a 1920s feel. There was even a bottle of wine in the room upon arrival! The host was lovely and easy to communicate with, and she had friends taking care of matters at the house in her absence. Great location too- away from the tourist hustle and bustle but a short Lyft or bike ride away! Will absolutely stay here again if I make it back to Savannah." -- Sriya, March 2017
  • Anna and Daniel are wonderful hosts- friendly and quick to respond. The room is clean and spacious. One thing to note about the beautiful large windows- they don’t open. Also the mattress is quite soft. The bathrooms are well appointed with toiletries and the kitchen is stocked with each cupboard labeled for ease. There are even bikes for guests to use! The location is great, a brief walk to Forsyth Park and the organic market. A special delightful space. I highly recommend this stay!

  • I can't say enough good things about this lovely home! Beautifully decorated, spacious, very nice breakfast choices, CLEAN! Very convenient for exploring Savannah - close enough to walk to many places. Be sure to check out the dining suggestions - very helpful. We also enjoyed the silent movies ... what a unique touch! Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a GREAT experience!!

  • Amazing space with tons of lovely touches and amenities.

  • Super place to stay- great neighborhood, and easy street parking. Many thoughtful touches throughout. Loved the provided essentials in the kitchen and bathroom. One thing to note- the first floor bedroom is a bit less private than the upstairs but it was not a problem for us. The room was big, nicely decorated and had blackout curtains.

  • The room at this Airbnb was very sweet and comfy!! We loved staying in a Victorian era home. It was about a mile to get to old Savannah which is very doable with the bikes they have for guests to use. A stay here is memorable indeed!!

  • Amazing decor that takes you back in time! Really fun to see pics of all the people who have passed through over the years. The location is about a 10 min. bike ride to Forsyth Park. Luckily we were able to use a couple of the bikes and explore (one of our favorite parts). If you are a light sleeper, keep in mind there are creaks and road noise.

This beautifully renovated modern condo on the 2nd floor of our gorgeous Victorian home was completed in September 2016! The kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, appliances, and furniture are all brand new! The original heart pine floors have been refinished and are a perfect reflection of the history of this Savannah estate. Enjoy the Southern weather on a private balcony, or take a walk to the famous Forsyth Park less than half of a block away! SVR-00563
Natural light flows in from the large, original windows that wrap around the condo. High ceilings and restored floors capture the history of the 130 year old home, and our updates add some modern comforts! We think it's just the right blend of old and new!
The condo is less than half a block from Forsyth Park, where there is always something fun going on! From festivals to the Saturday Farmer's market, to just walking the perimeter and enjoying the tree lined streets, we feel that we are situated in the perfect area for exploration and fun! We are also a scenic fifteen minute walk (or two minute Uber ride, if that's more your speed) to the downtown area, including Broughton Street, City Market, River Street, and all 22 of Savannah's charmingly historic squares.
  • Can’t say enough about this place! The condo was perfect and the local tips were super helpful. I didn’t want to leave! Sarah was awesome for letting me extend a few extra days :)

  • This place was very comfortable. It had a nice rustic, yet modern feel to it. The bed was comfortable and the shower was large comfortable as well. This is a definite stay for me again. Thanks

  • Don’t hesitate - book this space. I’m someone who researches stays before booking and I’m so glad I landed here. The location is right next to the park, ease of parking was great, and the walk wasn’t too far from shops and restaurants. You do have to climb a floor of stairs to get to the space so may not be great for those with mobility issues. I would definitely stay again.

    Devin2020-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a special place and the hosts are amazing. The bottle of wine, wifi, the board games and books, and all the amenities are awesome! The location is great and I will be staying here again!

  • Great location and amenities. The condo was very spacious and stylish with old Savannah charm. The complimentary bottle of wine and coffee k-cups were greatly appreciated. The house notes were very helpful. Thank you Sarah and Michael for making our first visit to Savannah wonderful.
