great hospitality and a lovely welcome from Karen. We didn’t see much of each other because I was out most of the time but the room was very comfortable and clean complete with kettle and fridge, TV and hair dryer. And I have to say the bed was the most comfortable one I’ve ever slept in!😊🙏 Really quiet area and Karen is very friendly and warm. Wholeheartedly recommended👍

A lovely room a sort walk to the railway station. An easy laid back host who grated me on arrival and showed me round. No issues with staying out late; I rolled in gone 1am!

Brandon’s place was perfect, down to every touch. So clean so tidy, Netflix account was a great touch as well. Literally was like staying in a place I would live for the rest of my life.

We need to take a flight out from Southend Airport. The great thing is to get a taxi from 01712334455. Just around £12 including midnight charges. A great deal of activity also can be done around the pier area nearby.

We had a great time at Brandon’s. He left bread and milk in the kitchen so that we could make tea and have something to nibble on in the morning. The location was brilliant, right near the centre of town and also the sea front. The little touches were brilliant, from the Netflix account to the shampoo and hairdryer. All much appreciated and would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a place to stay in Southend

If you are looking for a clean, stylish, well located place to stay in Southend, this is the one to go for. It’s a great flat, parking on the premises, 5-10 minute walk to the town centre and train stations (Southend Victoria and Central). Inside, the kitchen is very well equipped to so can cook to your hearts content. Very comfy bed. Brandon was a brilliant host! Super quick to reply. Always available and helpful. Safi has the most wonderful place I have ever had the pleasure of staying. Although I only stayed for one night in order to catch an early morning flight, Safi’s place met my expectations and more so. What she has is a cosy haven, which feels like a home from home and her outstanding hospitality, warmth and friendliness gives it a truly special atmosphere. It was outstandingly clean, well equipped and was perfect for what I needed. I stayed in the single bedroom, however it was a good size and even had a desk where I could finish work. Safi has a gorgeous personality, and her open heart helped make my journey a little less lonely - she told me everything I needed to know and made me feel welcome and more than just a passing guest. I will most definitely be recommending her place to family and friends and cannot wait to return - I’m just looking for an excuse! This review doesn’t even cover half of my thoughts about this air bnb but I would recommend wholeheartedly!!!

Second visit for me and just as clean and comfortable as before. The cosy hut has everything I need for my stay, and I really appreciate the privacy and the friendly welcome. Recommended!

A few small touches including basics are there for you inc tea coffee etc. Close to some amazing take aways, co-op and a delightful curry restaurant 2 mins walk up the rd. 2 min drive to the beach. Friendly people in the area. Vet is just around corner. Super clean accommodation, again with a lot of thought gone into catering for everyone's needs. Cats were lovely too, not a problem even with my dogs high drive for cats. They know to stay clear. Host extremely welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend this place.

Everything as it is in the post, nice, cosy, warm.

From the moment we arrived, Andree was so welcoming. The Hut was cosy and had everything we needed and more! Andree's attention to detail is impeccable. Each time we opened a cupboard our reaction was "wow!" Enough tea bags to last a year, breakfast rolls, real butter, porridge oats,peanut butter, milk, marmalade.. the list goes on. She even has a comfy lazy boy chair and stool! WiFi, sky and a beach around the corner. You won't need to worry about food as the shops are around the corner including takeaways. Although there isn't an oven in The hut, Andree kindly offered her own oven if we needed it. She is such a lovely lady. A TRUE SUPER HOST.

You will be pleasantly surprised when you arrive at The Hut, it is very quirky and has all the amenities that you will need for a short, or in my case a longer stay. Andree is very welcoming and attentive but not intrusive. "The Hut" is an ideal place to base yourself for visiting the area.

Scott is a lovely, welcoming, friendly and approachable host, who also respected my privacy. And it’s a really nice room in a lovely house, in a leafy suburb. The place to go if you want peace and quiet! My room had a picture window overlooking a superbly-kept garden, with pool, and trees behind. A beautiful view. (The pool is available to use at suitable times of year). I could see trees when lying on my bed. The house and my room all beautifully fitted with built in furniture. My room freshly decorated in perfect taste and with a comfy bed. Shower room with shower, toilet and basin, for my exclusive use, was 2 steps across the corridor. I had use of the large kitchen, including dishwasher, and dining area. Breakfast cereals and bread etc for making toast are provided, plus tea and coffee beside the kettle (further tea & coffee supplies with another kettle in my room). Milk was provided. Thank you Scott for an enjoyable and interesting stay!

Really lovely apartment. Nice bed. Tv comes with an amazon fire stick with netflix and prime which was a nice extra touch! Chris left bread, milk, eggs, tea and coffee, condiments, ice etc and other basic stuff so you can easily make yourself home quickly. Check in with lockbox was easy. Would def stay again.

Good accommodation, you can put Netflix on TV! Although the bathroom is located outside the room is private. The bed great and very comfortable. We do not miss anything. I recommend taking a car since it is a bit out of the way in a residential area but there is a garage. All very clean and without problems! I would go back without hesitation!

The check in/out process was smooth and faultless. The room was clean and had a number of small touches such as kitchen roll which was greatly appreciated. Overall, would be happy to stay here again!

Lynda’s place is cute and cosy. Also, it’s conveniently located as it’s close to a bus stand to get buses to & from town centre. We got to enjoy Peter’s blackberry jam as well! I would recommend staying a night or two here! :)

Great spot. I stayed for 2 weeks in lock down and the view outside kept me sane. I was also grateful of all the amenities in the apartment such as dishwashing liquid etc so that I didn’t have to go out. Would definitely stay again. It’s very homely.

Position and view from the apartment excellent but absolutely not suitable for small children and toddlers as stairs very steep and banisters in a poor state of repair, also there is no bathroom just a small shower room. Communication with the host Perry very good and his fast response to any problems.

Incredible value for money. Very clean place, with more amenities than expected - comfortable furniture, cosy setup. Excellent location 4min walk from High Street and Central Station. Joe replied to all my messages instantly before and during my stay. The apartment really has anything you could possibly need, and more. A nice unexpected surprise was that there is a 4K tv in there - which I came to appreciate, as usually hosts don’t bother too much on the media aspect of their place. Strong, solid wifi connection. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely apartment, in a lovely area, co op and fish shop literally opposite and the apartment had different types of coffee machines, tea bags all dif kinds, a playstation, dvds, books there was literally everything you could ask for already there! And the host(s) were super kind

You can expect a perfect cosy home from home when you stay at The Belfry. Everything is there that you could possibly need with a local shop just over the road. I've woken up to bird song and church bells this weekend, perfect.

The accommodation was very clean and comfortable, a perfect base for a business trip. The host was friendly and helpful. A great find! Will use again :)

Such a beautiful and secluded apartment in what feels like something out of The Secret Garden. The Belfry provided a lovely place to stay while we were in the area for a wedding. The weather was freezing cold while we were there but the apartment was warm and cosy (and very warm and cosy when we lit the wood-burner). It had everything we needed and more and was spotlessly clean. Thank you so much for leaving out food and drink for us too, even with a shop just across the street it was so nice and handy to be able to make a fresh cup of tea on arrival. Tracey was very friendly, I'm so sorry we didn't really have time to chat to her more (or play with her gorgeous new puppy, what a sweetheart). Highly recommended :)

Tracey and Dave were great! lovely hosts and super helpful. They provided recommendations for local restaurants, which they were spot on with. The flat was in great nick and looked great. They even left us an apple crumble for sunday night dessert. Will be back again for sure!

A reasonable walk from the airport, this place was perfect for our one night stay before heading to London. The bed was very comfortable and made up nicely. I would certainly stay here for a stop over again.

It is far from the airport than I thought It was late time shift, so I walked because it was ambiguous to catch a taxi, but it was quite long and the road was uneven. Carriers are advised to travel by taxi in the daytime. It was also 2.5 floors high, so it was hard to climb up the carrier ... inside the facility is clean and fine. I did not get the code number by mail, so I called the host at a late hour and he answered me very kindly.

I came here for my 1st wedding anniversary and I am so glad I stumbled onto this place!! Was such a wonderful time enjoying the seaside and coming back to this apartment, had such a homely feel and it was better than i expected, especially for the price! Greg is a fantastic host, was so polite understanding and patient and I am very appreciative that I could spend quality time with my husband here with amazing memories! Anwar is a very pleasant host, his apartment is very roomy, with lovely comfortable bed and bedding. Although on a busy main road and opposite Southend airport, we didn’t hear any noise during the night and slept well. There are plenty of places to shop and eat, very close by. We will definitely be staying again.

Well presented flat. Well placed for the sea front and Westcliffe high street. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and walked to and from Leigh on Sea for Lunch. We also walked to Shoeburyness and got the train back. Ate out on the high street and also at Padrino's nearby. Flat was warm, light and spacious.

The accommodation was very spacious , modern and very clean . With fantastic sea views . We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and the location was fantastic for restaurants and walking along the seafront.

Wow what a place, very spacious, very nicely decorated, all mod cons. A few mins walk to the seafront and town centre makes this a must book apartment when in Southend

Amand’s place was beautiful, just like the photos. Spotlessly clean and incredibly comfy beds and sofa. We had a great stay and Amanda was very helpful in giving us suggestions for our meals. Location is ideal, we had a beautiful walk on the seafront and the Pier. We parked right outside the flat, it was ‘pay and display’ and Amanda very kindly paid for our parking. We would love to visit again!

A beautifully stylish space without clutter. Lovely bedrooms and the beds are super comfy. Great location for Southend, you pay for it with the parking, that’s inevitable but it was easy to park right outside. Situated in the conservation area which is v pretty. The place was amazing ! Right on the seafront with lovely sliding doors and a big balcony which was lovely to watch the boats and the sunshine. Really well set out place. I even asked for cleaning things as I was staying so long and they dropped it all round for me (the cleaner couldn’t come for obvious reasons) so that was lovey. Highly recommend ! X
