Fancy living like a hobbit in Hobbiton on a hobbity hill? Or perhaps you’d like to feel like Gulliver in Lilliput for the time of a weekend? The Little House on Gumstool Hill is as cosy as it gets. Sitting on the popular Gumstool Hill in the heart of the Cotswolds, The Folly (the cottage) is only a stone’s throw away from the centre of Tetbury. There are lovely walks just outside the cottage along the small river, and all the services are extremely close.
***COVID-19: We give the place a thorough clean after every stay, as well as leaving a couple of empty days in between bookings. Our cleaner uses bleach, hot water, and anti-bac on all surfaces*** The cottage features lovely Cotswold stone and roof tiles. It is very small, but comfortable. A paddle space saving staircase leads to the upstairs bedroom. It comprises of a king size bed, a high pile rug (snug for your toes) and two bedside tables (nothing else will fit!). You can have your breakfast, second breakfast, elevenses, luncheon, afternoon tea, dinner and supper in the kitchenette. Or alternatively you can nip into the local bakery and iconic pubs only a tiny stroll away. The kitchenette has two portable electric hobs, a microwave oven, a kettle, a toaster, a small fridge and all the necessary kitchenware and cutlery. We supply tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil and salt and pepper.
Tetbury has won numerous awards, earning the accolade "Heart of England in Bloom" and "Best Small Town." It was founded as an ancient hill fort, and on the same site was later built a Saxon monastery in 681, most likely by Ine of Wessex. Today, Tetbury is known as a small hidden gem of an English town, praised for its charming cottages and ivy-clad buildings and cottages, abundance of flowers and greenery, history, wool, antique shops, and historic buildings. Being in the Cotswolds, a number of lovely and popular walks are available to you, as well as the myriad of cute and iconic villages.
  • This dear little home provided two week sanctuary for us. It is somewhat like living in a ship, with paddle stairs up to a little room in the eves and bed. My daughter loved this and dubbed it the dolls house. All else was well provided for, a little kitchen with job and microwave, a bijoux bathroom and a folding table. We really enjoyed the proximity to the park and long stream side walks from our doorstep.

  • Took a 2 night stay here by myself to get out of London for a bit. I cycled from Kemble station to Gumstool Hill and it is just as cute as described/photographed. Perfect location in Tetbury and lots of lovely places to explore. Small but perfectly contained and everything I needed. Yoann responded to messages so quickly and was very helpful. Would definitely go back!

A beautifully appointed, two-bedroom, two-bathroom, dog-friendly*, Georgian townhouse, with an air of French elegance, tucked in the heart of one of the Cotswolds’ most famous market towns, renowned for its royal connections and antique shops. New Church Cottage has a private, enclosed patio and secure, off-street parking for one car.
(*Dogs: 1 well-behaved dog is welcome at the cottage at an additional cost of £30. Please let us know if you will be bringing a dog and we will then revise your booking confirmation.) You’d be forgiven for missing New Church Cottage as you wander the bustling streets of Tetbury; arguably the most stylish market town in the Cotswolds, thanks to its boutique shops, designer delis and distinctly royal connections. Nestled in a terrace of classic honey-coloured Georgian townhouses just a stone’s throw from the town’s centre, New Church Cottage is distinguished by its quintessential duck-egg blue front door and pretty bay trees framing its front sash window; an elegant touch, setting the theme for the property as soon as you step inside. Walking straight into the cosy living space of the cottage, you’ll get a sense of its rich heritage, dating back to the 18th Century. An antique-surround open fire acts as the centrepiece of the room, with tasteful historic artwork, Sanderson fabrics and antique furnishings giving the room a timeless, elegant feel. Through the living room sits a small but well-formed kitchen, hand-painted and stocked with all that you’ll need during your stay, with a handy dining space tucked at the rear for comfortable dining. Up the winding staircase, lined with eye-catching Lewis & Wood wallpaper, you’ll find two bedrooms for up to four guests, each individually-designed with a twist of antique French sophistication. Bedroom two boasts a beautiful antique French double bed, complete with billowing fabric draping, plus pretty, painted antique furniture and views out onto the street beneath. Up another winding staircase (cleverly concealed behind a frosted glass door) sits the master bedroom, with show-stopping features emanating a real feeling of historic luxury. In here, guests will find a vaulted ceiling with chunky painted beams, a sparkling crystal chandelier, a sink-in French “Empire” style king-size bed and plenty of antique touches. There’s even a small but incredibly handy en-suite shower room; a great addition to the cottage’s main bathroom located just off the staircase on the first floor. With the sights and sounds of Tetbury quite literally on your doorstep at New Church Cottage, you’ll have plenty on hand to keep you entertained with a host of fantastic cafés, restaurants, shops and pubs to discover. After a busy day exploring, the cottage’s perfectly petite courtyard garden offers a welcome respite from the hubbub of the town, where guests can unwind with a sundowner or fire up the BBQ for charcoal-cooked feast. Facilities  WiFi  Bed linen, towels and tea towels  Log burner/ open fire  Charcoal BBQ  Outdoor dining area  Garden furniture  2 bedrooms  2 bathrooms (1 en-suite)  Washer/ Dryer  Fridge  Electric hob and oven  Microwave  Integrated dishwasher  TV with Freeview  iPod Dock  DVD player  Highchair x1  Travel cot  Iron and ironing board  Dog-Friendly  Shops within walking distance  Pubs/Restaurants within walking distance Local Amenities Amenities are very much on the doorstep here at New Church Cottage. Within walking distance in Tetbury town centre, you’ll find a Co-Operative Food, well-equipped for the basic grocery amenities that you’ll need during your stay. For something a little special, Highgrove Shop is also on the high street of the town, selling a selection of luxury organic foods and homeware inspired by Prince Charles’ nearby Highgrove Estate. A Tesco Superstore is also just a 10-minute stroll (or 2-minute car journey) from the cottage on London Road, with nearby Cirencester (20-minute drive) boasting a Waitrose and large Tesco Extra superstore. If you fancy taking the hassle out of your stay completely, we recommend planning ahead with a grocery delivery; Ocado, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Morrisons all deliver to New Church Cottage. Full Description Downstairs Entrance New Church Cottage is tucked in the middle of a classic Georgian terrace, just off the High Street in the historic market town of Tetbury. Entering through a classic duck-egg green front door, you’ll step straight into the cottage’s living space. Living Room A true slice of Georgian elegance with just the right balance of mod-cons, New Church Cottage’s living room manages to expertly blend classic, elegant interiors with plenty of cosy touches to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Decorated in an attractive, classic palette of Cotswold creams, in here you’ll find sisal flooring, Georgian-era artwork, antique trinkets and sink-in sofas; one of which can be converted into a sofa-bed for two should you need some extra sleeping space. The true centrepiece of the lounge is its spectacular open fire with antique surround, flanked by bookcases stocked to the brim, and the perfect way to warm up in the cooler months after a busy day in the great Cotswold outdoors. Timeless, elegant and charming in equal measure, the living space offers a real home away from home feel for guests in search of comfortable luxury. Kitchen Through the living room to the rear of the cottage sits its kitchen and dining area, a galley-style space with seating for up to four. In here, the refined feel of the rest of the property continues thanks to plenty of traditional touches, including hand-painted units, Iroko wood worktops and a deep Belfast-style sink. We love the thoughtful nods back to yester-year, with old-fashioned cookbooks, mismatched seating and clever uses of cupboard space (hidden behind hand-made fabric doors) giving the kitchen an authentic, homely vibe. Jam-packed with all of the equipment you should need to self-cater well during your stay, there’s a seating area for four, plus additional outdoor dining courtesy of a bistro-style set in the cottage’s courtyard garden. First Floor From the cottage’s living space, head up a winding staircase, lined with beautiful floral Lewis & Wood wallpaper, to discover the upper floors of this classic Georgian townhouse. Bedroom 2 Sitting on the cottage’s first floor is Bedroom 2, an homage to antique French elegance, sure to make any guest feel as though they’ve stumbled into a luxurious yet understated boudoir. Farrow & Ball-hued walls in classic grey tones give the room a feeling of relaxation, contrasted with the pinks and greys of the billowing fabric drapes which frame the large sash window’s views of the Tetbury street beneath. A painted antique French double bed sits centrally to the room, boasting a plush canopy with Manuel Canovas fabric drapes, with a wardrobe, dressing table and small dresser offering a good amount of storage. There’s even a handy television with Freeview hidden discreetly behind the bedroom’s doorway for those who like to watch a good film before getting some shut-eye. Family Bathroom Half-way up the staircase to the first floor sits the main bathroom of the cottage, complete with bath and overhead shower, bespoke marble vanity cabinet, pretty green wood panelling and attractive limestone tiles. Flooded with light thanks to a bright overhead skylight, guests will have plenty to keep them entertained during a long soak courtesy of a jam-packed bookcase; an expert use of space, sure to keep book worms happy. Second Floor Bedroom 1 (master, en-suite) Head through a frosted glass doorway on the first floor and you’ll discover New Church Cottage’s ‘hidden’ master bedroom; a spacious bedroom tucked in the eaves of the house, found atop a winding staircase. A real hidden gem, the space up here will certainly surprise you, with the owners having made the most of what would have been the attic’s impressive vaulted ceilings and beautiful exposed beams. Perfect for couples, a beautiful French “Empire” style king-size beds acts as the bedroom’s centrepiece, complete with an elegant chandelier hanging above, to give the room a luxurious feel. Guests will find a large dresser and television with Freeview in here, plus all of the refined décor touches of the rest of the home and a bright window overlooking the street beneath. Best of all, the bedroom boasts its own en-suite shower room with walk-in shower, toilet, limestone flooring and pretty LED lighting. Very handy for avoiding potentially treacherous night-time journeys down the winding stairs when nature calls! Outside A real bonus to the cottage is its compact outdoor courtyard, found through the kitchen to the rear of the property. South-east facing, it gets a good amount of sunlight, completely private thanks to the pretty Cotswold stone walls that frame it. Here, a bistro dining set for four offers plenty of opportunities for al fresco dining, made easier thanks to the charcoal BBQ at your disposal. Entirely enclosed, little ones and dogs are safe to roam here.

There are a lot of stairs all over the apartment (can't call it a flat ;) but that was advertised. Right in the middle of Tetbury, spoiled for food choices and a Co-Op very close. Would highly recommend to able bodied customers

  • A little gem of an apartment in a perfect spot in Tetbury, ideal for all the cafes, pubs and shops etc. Our stay was extremely quiet, no noise whatsoever from neighbours, including the shop below. The bed was extremely comfortable and linen super clean. It was wonderful to hear church bells peeling from the kitchen window on Sunday morning and this was a good, comfortable and warm base away from the rain and wind in February. Lucinda is a friendly and adaptable host with good communication and thoughtful touches. All in all, a useful place to stay in this lovely town.

  • Sarah's apartment has a warm atmosphere, everything is very tasteful. We immediately felt at home there, it was wonderful (better than in the photos, which were very representative of the place) being there, living there is all the difference. We had a very very good stay and I highly recommend it. The village of Tetbury also has a lot of charm. Stay in the Cotswold simply extra. Thank you again Sarah for your hospitality in the very English universe that you shared with us.

    Renee2020-02-23T00:00:00Z

  • We had a great stay in Sarah’s place for a wedding at the Great Tyree Barn, great location and Tetbury is lovely. Beautifully decorated and homely touches. We can’t wait to come back!

    Megan2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • What a fabulous apartment. It's cosy, spacious and beautifully furnished. It feels like a home - full of individual touches with none of the anodyne 'rental space' minimalism. It is warm, with a well-equipped kitchen, very comfy bed and fluffy towels, plenty of wardrobe space, books to read and no fussy rules or do's and don'ts. It is very handy for all of Tetbury's cafe, restaurants, pubs and shops - and only a 4 minute walk to Parkrun if that's your inclination. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or to visit again.

    Janet2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah's place is beautifully decorated and furnished, and very comfortable - especially the bed. Tetbury is a lovely town to explore and the flat is very central, but still quiet. Sarah is easy to communicate with and always responded quickly.

  • We had a fabulous two night stay in this beautiful apartment. Everything about the place was a joy! From the cleanliness, tasteful decor, spacious rooms, very comfortable bed, crisp white bedding & towels to the fantastic location & parking facilities. Tetbury itself is a very pretty town with some great independent shops & cafes - It’s A lovely place in its own right, but also a good location to explore the Cotswolds/ Bath from. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here!

  • Can’t say enough good about our stay. It was a 5 star experience all around. Booking was simple, arrival instructions were complete and easy to follow. Our host contact, Monika, was very responsive to my texts and helpful in our stay. The arrival gift basket was wonderful. The cottage was very clean and well provisioned with anything we needed, even for firewood (very nice on the cool and damp winter evenings). The instruction booklets helped us understand all of the heating and appliances operations. Location was quiet and yet only a few steps to the centre of Tetbury, which was a lovely, well located and vibrant community.

  • Lovely secluded cottage with all mod cons. Very comfortable. Gardens are absolutely stunning. Country walks from just outside the garden gate and easy access into the centre of Tebtury with it's many shops and restaurants

    Emma2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Catalpa Cottage was wonderful. We recently spent eight days there and found it to be the perfect home base to explore the English countryside. Easy drive in from Heathrow and several amazing destinations a short drive away (Stonehenge, Bath, Oxford, etc). The gardens were a perfect space to enjoy a leisurely breakfast before striking out on our adventures and a fantastic place to unwind after we returned. It’s very convenient to the City Centre of Tetbury a charming town with great restaurants and shopping. I do agree with other reviewers that you definitely want to have a compact car as it’s an extremely tight fit with a sharp turn to get back to the parking area. Not sure a full-size or SUV could make it. All in all would highly recommend the Catalpa Cottage - five stars!

  • A wonderful stay. Fantastic location. And very thoughtful details.

    Alicia2019-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay over Christmas at Catalpa Cottage. We travelled from Australia with our son, daughter in law and 10 month baby girl to spend Christmas with our daughter, her husband and new born. We had a great time together in Catalpa Cottage which had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The added touch of a Nicely decorated Christmas tree and a sumptuous welcome pack of wine, cheese selection, biscuits and chocolates was very thoughtful. The cottage is located in the centre of Tetbury with easy walking to shops, pubs and cafes. It is one of the best Airbnb homes we have stayed in. Thanks to Monika for preparing the cottage for us.

Our little cozy space in the Cotswolds provides you with a comfortable stay that is only a stroll away from Gatcombe Park, two village pubs and access to beautiful country walks. Our annex is located in our garden with with its own private entrance. Close by are the market towns of Nailsworth, Tetbury and Minchinhampton and just a little further are Stroud and Cirencester.
The accommodation is private and separate from our main family house, set back a little across a courtyard. The entrance takes you into a sitting room with sofa, coffee table and dresser. This in turn leads off to a small downstairs shower room with toilet. The downstairs kitchenette has basic self-catering facilities (a double induction hob, microwave with convection oven and grill, undercounter fridge with small freezer compartment, coffee machine, toaster, electric kettle, sink and washing up facilities) and a table with two chairs. From the kitchenette the stairs lead up to a bedroom with a double bed, chest of drawers, armchair and full length mirror. Upstairs also contains a bathroom with sink and toilet. The accommodation has its own central heating.
Avening is a Cotswolds village with an 11th century church and two pubs, the Queen Matilda and The Bell that both serve food. Avening borders the estate of Gatcombe Park, the home of Princess Anne. Gatcombe Park hosts the horse trials of Festival of British Eventing in August and two smaller ones in Spring and Autumn, and craft fairs in May and October. There are many country walks to enjoy from and beyond Avening. The surrounding towns have many pups, cafes, restaurants and markets. Our home is located next to the village playing field.
  • I stayed at Johan’s place for work so I didn’t get to see the village or surrounding area (which look lovely by the way), but the place itself is exactly as described and shown in the photos and was perfect. It has everything you need and was extremely comfortable and peaceful. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it 100%.

  • Beautiful little village, great accommodation with exceptional hosts. Lovely family environment but still got peace and quiet on our mini staycation. Everything you need is there and the bed is super comfortable. The bath was an added relaxation bonus (plus the bubble bath and shampoo provided, which both smelled amazing) after a 3 hour drive after work on arrival. Definitely recommend staying with Johan and Arianne. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

It's only a 15 minute walk into the centre of Tetbury which is just what we wanted and there is a Tesco less than a 5 minute walk away too. The cottage is ideal for families and we really appreciated the travel cot, highchair and basket of toys. It's SPARKLING clean, with little touches like fresh tulips, milk in fridge and cereals, tea/coffee etc. Katie was super fast with communication and messaged to make sure we got there okay as we were arrived late at night. Large, powerful shower, comfy bed with cotton sheets, fast Wi-Fi & beautiful vintage decor. Easy access via private entrance & parking. We provide everything for continental/ cereal breakfast with fresh coffee & OJ in the cool 1940’s cabinet with kettle, microwave & toaster. Great for exploring the area by foot, cycle or car. Our hillside house is set in a 3/4 acre walled garden and is a busy, vibrant family home. We are surrounded by nature and still have easy access to local towns. The lovely, generous guest room forms the lower ground floor of our house and has its own private entrance. Perfect base for walkers, runners, cyclists, golfers, event goers, foodies, naturalists, culture or just exploring! We are very mindful of our guests privacy and peace - and we are kept busy with pets, kids and various comings and goings, so will stay out of your hair unless you need us!
We live in a lovely timber clad house set in a 3/4 acre walled garden in a beautiful rolling valley running between Nailsworth and Stroud- both great towns to explore with an award winning Farmers market, local brewery (with pizza oven), great arts, pubs, music scene and lots of independant shops and cafe’s. We have direct access to footpaths through a nature reserve behind the house (endangered bush crickets!) up to Amberley village and beautiful Minchinhampton Common with its free ranging cows and ponies, ice cream factory, visiting circus, pubs, golf course, great views and kite flying. Or use the footpath down to the Nailsworth/Stroud cycle path, which in turn leads into the lovely canal tow paths. Great for mountain biking pretty much anywhere; golfing at Minchinhampton; walking & trees at Westonbirt; birds & nature at Slimbridge, horses at Gatcombe & Badminton; culture & shopping at Bath, Cheltenham and Cirencester. Or go large in Bristol! Last, but not least we are within walking distance of the mysterious Woodchester Park; or even up to spooky Hetty Pegler’s Tump....

  • Had a lovely stay here in this cosy, comfortable space. The location is stunning also. The bed was really comfy and we loved the gorgeous chesterfield sofa! I will say that it is worth taking a shower cap if you have long hair and won’t be washing it every time you shower. The shower is an exceptionally powerful monsoon type and it was tough to keep my hair dry! We were out for most of our stay so never met the hosts, but Tom was always on hand via text - I asked to borrow the iron and it was in the room by the time we’d returned from our walk. The breakfast touches were delicious and having a mini fridge was very useful. We had a very pleasant stay and hope to return! Thank you.

  • Not a single negative point to make from our 3 night stay. The accommodation is larger than it looks in the pictures, but remains a cosy hideaway for chilly evenings. It's full of interesting bits n bobs whilst the bathroom is more than adequate inclusive of a powerful shower. Comfy bed, comfy sofa, comfy table and chairs at which to eat your provided breakfast whilst watching the birds at the feeder opposite. The hosts provided tips about the area which we utilised, however there is so much within walking, hiking, or short driving distance we were spoilt for choice. Loved it.

The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.
  • Check-in was a breeze – Kevin met us promptly and was very helpful and friendly in showing us round. The cottage is close enough to supermarkets to buy supplies (10-15min from many major brands) yet equally set in the countryside to escape from everything. It was perfectly clean and had everything you could possibly need. Internet was great too for film nights and booking your tickets...but you’d hardly need it beyond that because of the beautiful scenery. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone!

  • We loved our weekend in Pear Tree Cottage; a delightful retreat. It was warm and very comfortable, and suited the four of us beautifully. We enjoyed cooking in the very well equipped kitchen, and eating in the pretty dining room. Two miles or so from Minchinhampton with pubs (we ate a very good meal at The Crown) and shops, Cherington itself is a lovely Cotswolds village with walks from the door - the countryside around magical with hoar frosts on the 2 days we were there.

  • Pear Tree Cottage gives you everything you need for a perfect Cotswolds stay. For our winter stay it was cosy & utterly charming. A really delightful place.

  • A fantastic cottage in a lovely little village. We were welcomed at the cottage by Kevin who showed us around and let us know he was available should we need any help at all. There is a lovely log burning fire with enough wood supplied to use for one night, we bought more wood from a supermarket ten minutes drive away.

  • What a wonderful little cottage in the cotswolds. Perfect location for exploring the rest of the area. Lovely clean and cosy cottage with a wonderful fire for the evenings. Would highly recommend

  • A fantastic home away from home in a quiet village just outside Tetbury. Comfortable, spacious and well equipped - we couldn’t have asked for any more. We will definitely return for more cosy nights in front of the fire!

Tucked away on the edge of the town it is only a short stroll through our private wild flower meadow to open countryside or food shops. There are complimentary electric bikes for exploring magical country lanes and finding remote cosy pubs with roaring fires. Your own utility room containing butler sink, washing machine and separate tumble dryer. We arrange for groceries to be delivered to your porch, so you can stay in blissful isolation!
A warm and comfortable base with a touch of luxury. It provides you with fantastic walks and cycle rides. We have an honesty bar so you can toast the sunset with champagne on the balcony, complimentary coffee to kick start your morning and two electric bikes with a selection of handpicked routes ready for you to enjoy cycling around the country lanes. If you do end up getting muddy, don't worry you have your own boot room with a washer and dryer for you to get clean again! In addition to our regular robust cleaning procedures we have rolled up our sleeves and implemented enhanced levels of hygiene standards appropriate to the latest guidance. All linen is boiled washed and high temperature ironed.
We are in a quiet and friendly place with a number of artisan shops on the high street, an Arts venue and several antique shops. A selection of cafes, restaurants and pubs also provide a variety of food to suit all tastes. The Wacky Races and Woolsack races draw a number of people into the area over the May bank holidays and are great fun to watch. Badminton Horse trials, Princess Anne's Gatcombe, The Beaufort Point to Point and Royal Polo are also exciting and popular horse events and well worth seeing. Westonbirt Arboretum and Prince Charles' Highgrove are fantastic outdoor attractions all year round and a short drive or a steady bike ride away. The Corinium museum in Cirencester or Chedworth Villa are well worth a visit to view roman mosaics.
  • We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the lodge and would recommend to anyone! The location is perfect and the surrounding area is beautiful. The hot tub experience is a must! Caron was so welcoming and helpful. Would definitely return :)

  • We stayed in the luxury lodge with our 2 crazy cocker spaniels for my partners Birthday. The lodge was perfect, exceptionally clean and had everything you could want. We had access to some lovely walks though the back gate and a wonderful pub 5 minute stroll though the woods. Caron and James were excellent hosts, super helpful and instantly made us feel welcome. The hot tub experience was brilliant and a lovely treat for us. The friendly atmosphere and welcoming environment of this place made the weekend all that more relaxing and comfortable for us. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!!

    Laura2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Had a fantastic stay for our 10th anniversary. The lodge was great, nice and clean and had everything that we needed, Hot tub experience was also really good. Surprisingly private, the hosts were great and just left us to it after showing us the ropes with gates and hot tub etc. Tetbury town is only a couple of miles away, plenty of decent pubs and we found a nice Italian restaurant. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

    Alex2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The lodge is great plac for couples to stay. Its an amzazing use of space. Didn't feel cramped despite being a small building, and had plenty of mod cons that made you feel at home. It is decorated really nicely too. It was all very clean and neat. And there were some nice little touches from the hosts too. it is in a good location, just a short walk to the centre of Tetbury. The only negative thing I can think of is that it isn't as excluded as we would have liked. It's close to the other houses in the street, but once you're inside it feels ok.

    Gavin2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic couple of nights stay. Beautiful accommodation and hosts could not have done more. Hot tub not to be missed!!

  • Lovely hidden gem! Stayed for a weekend and wasn’t bored for a single moment. With bikes we rented, amazing hot tub under the stars and endless board games it was so nice to have the choice to just hide away or explore the beautiful town. We shall be back!

  • Beautiful hideaway, perfect for escaping for a few days. With a trail on the doorstep our dog loved it too. The hosts, Caron and James, were so welcoming and really made us feel at home from the off. We would highly recommend the hot tub and plan to return.

  • Jenny and Gregor were great hosts, really accomodating and friendly. The Rec was as described and perfect for our two day break from London. Incredibly clean, the space also featured lots of nice touches including lots of info about the local area, walks and attractions as well as fresh organic milk. If you have a dog the space is amazing - so many fields for miles where you can walk/ run. Highly recommend a stay at The Rec.

    Jack2020-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend a stay at Jenny's place. It's a perfectly located staging post for access into the Cotswolds and all the beauty it has to offer. I enjoyed some lovely walks nearby as this was my first visit but, with the intention of returning again soon, I will be exploring further afield and still intend to stay at Jenny's. Crudwell itself is a lovely village and the local pub, The Potting Shed, is not only a great place to have a drink but also to eat. I didn't make it to the Rectory Hotel but, upon recommendation, I will be heading there for breakfast on my next visit. Thanks to Jenny and Gregor for their hospitality and for allowing me to stay at their lovely place. I hope you guys book a visit to this lovely part of the world soon.

Charming and characterful double bedroom with private bathroom in Victorian Cotswold-stone cottage. Breakfast included. Only 5-minutes’ walk from the centre of historic Tetbury. A warm and welcoming base from which to explore the Cotswolds.
There is off-street parking and a secluded cheerful garden. A continental-style breakfast to suit all dietary requirements is provided and I can recommend places to eat in walking distance or a short car journey away. Tetbury has many antique shops, pubs, restaurants, fashion boutiques and gift shops, including The Highgrove Shop. Local attractions are: Westonbirt Arboretum, Malmesbury Abbey, Badminton House, Chavenage House (Poldark). Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust, Berkeley Castle, Newark Park and the towns of Cirencester, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Bath and Bristol are all within easy reach by car. Special events held in the area include Badminton Horse Trials, Cheltenham Races, Gatcombe Craft Fair and Gatcombe Horse Trials. A popular area for cyclists and walkers.
  • Valerie is a wonderful host - very friendly and helpful! The place is cosy, warm and clean and has a lot of charm! Super close to Tetbury high street and also easy access for the different wedding venues near by. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would definitely recommend! Sara & Leo

  • What a lovely stay in Tetbury. Val looked after us so well, the continental breakfast ever morning was a five star event, with breads, juice, fruit, and endless tea & coffee. The bedroom with its 5ft wide bed was very comfortable with a firm but supporting mattress ( perfect for my wife who had hurt her back prior to the trip) The tea making facilities in the room was an added bonus. The private bathroom was clean and very modern in style, in all a very nice quality clean comfortable air BnB. It’s a five minute walk to all the antique shops, pubs and Restaurants so we just left our car in the free off road parking that comes with the room. Great value for money, Val is a super host, and very interesting lady to sit and have a chat with. Thanks for looking after us, we will be back to stay, next time we are in Tetbury. Martin & Kathy McBain

  • Valerie is the perfect host. Exactly what an AirBnb experience should be. We loved spending time chatting away with Val around the breakfast table, but you also have total privacy in the lovely bedroom and sparkling clean bathroom (with amazingly powerful shower!) The cottage is in a great location in a lovely part of the country, and we would definitely return if we're ever in the area again :-)

This apartment is brand new. It has its own entrance and the front door opens into a large open plan living room and kitchen with a large breakfast bar. There is a 55 inch smart tv and WiFi. Two double bedrooms are upstairs to sleep 4 people. The bathroom has a shower cubicle and separate bath. There is dedicated parking just outside the front door.
Tetbury is the home of HRH Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales. You will see the HighGrove shop located in the High Street which is full of items associated with the Highgrove estate. Tetbury was an important market town in the Cotswolds for wool and yarn in the Middle Ages but today it is better associated with boutique shops, antique shops and lovely coffee shops and pubs. The town is known as an ‘architectural gem’ because many of the wool merchants’ houses still look as they did years ago. St. Mary’s church has an impressive Spire that can be seen from all directions as you enter the town. The centre of Tetbury is a conservation area and many of the buildings have graded listing including the flat you will be staying in. Look up as you walk the streets and see the architecture and natural stone for which the Cotswolds are famous. There are many places of interest to visit nearby including Cirencester which is a large market town and also Cheltenham which is home to the Cheltenham race and jazz festivals. Slightly closer to Tetbury is the Westonbirt Arboretum and also Malmesbury home of the WOMAD festival. There are numerous lovely country pubs dotted around the area and also two fabulous spa venues such as Whatley Manor and Calcott Spa.

  • John’s place is better than I could have expected. Right in the centre of town with a very short walk to several supermarket options. The beds and sofas were very comfortable and having sky tv was a great extra touch. We cooked in the kitchen most nights which was fully stocked with utensils. Overall a wonderful stay and would recommend to all.

The accommodation is situated in a beautiful garden, very quiet and peaceful, ideal for a getaway from the city. Near the accommodation you will find a small garden for your own use with a table and chairs under the apple tree, where you can sit and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. There is also a beauty spa open all week called Lifestyle Health and Beauty which has all the latest treatments. We would like to encourage people who are working in the area to take our accommodation as it's near Cheltenham, Swindon, Bath and not far from Bristol.

Nearby Malmesbury is an historic town with a wonderful Abbey that you might wish to visit. You may also like to see the gardens tended by the celebrated naked gardeners next door! A little further, Tetbury has some wonderful antique shops and delicatessens to browse and the famous Highgrove Shop, which is well worth a visit. Within ten miles is the market town of Cirencester, which is at the heart of the Cotswolds and there are many shops and an interesting Roman museum. For water sports, one can enjoy an abundance of activities such as sailing, jet ski, kite surfing and fishing around the many lakes of the Cotswold Water Parks, a few miles away.
  • Great host and great place! Rowena is very friendly and welcoming. Her place and the surrounding area is very beautiful and worth visiting.

    Dominik2020-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Sweet little cottage in the countryside. Rowena is a great hostess -- quick to reply to any messages and full of advice and suggestions for things to do. There are good pubs within walking distance. Having a car is definitely a plus if you want to do much exploring in the area beyond the immediate fields, though, we managed without one. While most of our walks were cut short by flooded fields, it was nice to explore the area and great to come back to the cottage to warm up with tea, brownies, and a good foot soak.

Hut on the hill is located in a small hamlet on the outskirts of Horsley. It is very peaceful and quiet. A beautiful base for walking, sightseeing or just generally relaxing in the Cotswolds! Our Shepherds Hut sits on top of the hill with outstanding views overlooking the Nailsworth Valley and beyond.
The Shepherds hut sits in the corner of the field over looking our chickens, where you're welcome to collect you're own eggs for breakfast (as long as they have laid some!). From the hut your open to lovely walks of the surrounding areas and only a 15 minute walk to the nearest pub and local shop which sell the famous Horsley Sausages - again great to have with your breakfast. The hut comes with a double electric hob, kettle, toaster and microwave. There is no oven in the hut. We also have an eco fridge which is a cool pot outside the hut big enough to keep the essentials cold for your breakfast. Parking is available for one car within a 10 metre walk from the hut. The hut is fully secured and has an electric heater if the Great British weather doesn't come up trumps for your stay.
The Hut on the Hill on situated near the Cotswold town of Nailsworth, a few miles drive from Stroud (with its famous farmers market) and a short commute to the Cotswold way and other attractions such as Badminton/Gatcombe horse trials, Cirencester and Westonbirt Arboretum. Nailsworth has an abundance of independent coffee shops and quirky treasure troves to pass your time. We have several chickens situated near the Shepherds hut. These are cordoned off by an electric fence (don't worry we don't have a cockerel so you won't be woken by them).
  • We booked our stay as we had a friends wedding at The Kingscote Barn and from the moment we sent our first question Ian and Lizzy were quick to respond and so helpful offering advice and even a lift to the wedding venue. The personal touches of the hut itself were fantastic and would make the perfect place to escape the world and take in the beautiful countryside views. The shepherds hut was clean, cosy and had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. I cannot recommend enough and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

  • Beautiful, relaxing little hut in a cute location with super easy check in.

    Emma2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a gorgeous little hut, tastefully decorated. It has all the amenities you need and the hosts leave it stocked with tea and coffee and little treats. The views are lovely. It was winter when we visited and an electric heater kept it warm and cosy. If you are there in the summer there is space to sit outside. All in all a lovely relaxing break.

  • We had a lovely night away at Ian and Lizzys place, we wish we could have stayed longer! Lovely little retreat :)

    Hannah2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute little shepherd hut, the views from the window & door were amazing. We stayed over new year & it was a little misty first thing in the morning, but still wow. The chickens welcomed you as soon as you opened the huts door by running up to the fence opposite & looking at you I would definitely stay here again. The bed was super comfortable as good as a 5* hotels, we had 2 brilliant nights sleep. The little electric fire that looks like a log burner was very effective & kept us nice & toasty, we turned it off before we got into bed & we were very warm, through out the night maybe a little too warm, but we just took the beautiful blanket off us. I loved the little touches like the kilner bottle with the milk in, the tea & coffee which were provided as well as the little boxes of cereals & chocolates. We had a lovely couple of nights away & would recommend it to anyone who wanted a few nights away in something different. I’m sure the countryside walks would be spectacular on a nice crisp day or a lazy summer afternoon. Ian & Lizzy were on hand if we needed them & Ian came to say good bye before we left. Thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful hut on the hill.

The grade 2 listed cottage is 300-350 years old with bags of character and authentic charm. It is very comfortable in the snug with its own wood burner and other original features. Go to sleep hearing the owls and wake up to the birds singing. Make breakfast and drink a cup of tea in the garden. There are beautiful walks right on the doorstep including a lake very close by. We quite often see deer from our house.
Popular towns such as Bath, Bristol and Cheltenham are all within 40 minutes drive whist more picturesque villages like Tetbury, Nailsworth and Stroud can be visited within a 10 minutes drive. We are very close to Gatcombe Park. The cottage is also ideally positioned for you to walk to our local pubs which are just a 15 minute walk. We can promise both great food and plenty of real ale. The property also boasts a large garden with a summerhouse and BBQ. Feel at home to use them both. It is worth noting that the stairs to the bedroom/bathroom are steep but there is a handrail to get up them.

Markets are held in the town centre every Wednesday and Saturday from 9am – 3pm. Once one of the most prosperous wool towns in the country, Tetbury still remains a lively and popular hub of Cotswold commerce and appreciation. The central feature of the town is the Market House, built in 1655 when Tetbury was at the height of its wool trade, and designed for the sale of wool and yarn. To honour its past, every year on the last Bank Holiday Monday of May, Tetbury Woolsack Races are held, an age-old tradition that dates back to the 17th Century. The idea of wool sack racing was born from drovers who would run up a steep hill with a very heavy sack of wool in a bid to impress the local ladies! Men’s sacks weigh 60lb while women’s way 35lb, and they must carry their sack above their head as they run the 240-yard course up and down Gumstool Hill, past the old weaver’s cottages, as part of a relay. Although it’s free admission, with plenty of stalls, amusements and a fabulous street fayre, this event has raised a lot of money for charity in the past and is always hosted by a guest celebrity – watch this space! Tetbury is also home to Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall’s country home and primary residence, Highgrove Estate. Although not open to the public, garden tours can be booked in advance online as well as numerous other events that take place at the stunning royal residence throughout the year. Tetbury has a fantastic food scene, from gourmet dining at The Close Restaurant and pub cuisine at The Royal Oak and Snooty Fox, to delicatessen cafes galore such as Café 53 and The Blue Zucchini.

  • A charming house in charming town. Be sure to stop by The Snooty Fox for afternoon tea or a pint (I recommend the Scrumpy cider). The beds were comfy, the kitchen fully stocked, and there were lots of nearby places to stroll. Day trips by car to Bristol, Oxford, and Bath took an hour-ish each way.

  • Little Pippins is a lovely hideaway in a picturesque village in the Cotswolds. Really cosy; the wood burner was perfect for our winter trip but can imagine the patio would be fantastic in summer. All with warm hospitality from Richard and Kelly. We had a lovely trip exploring the local area and the local pubs (check out The Bell for a great curry). Superb stay, thank you!

  • This is a lovely home, perfect for a weekend away. Jodie and Glenn gave clear instructions on how to check in and were quick to give us as much information as we needed about the area. The house was clean and cosy- perfect for a night in if that's what you're after! It's also right in Tetbury so perfectly situated for heading out into the area. The mini cupcakes were a lovely touch too :) highly recommend!

  • We’ve just spent a really fabulous weekend in this gorgeous cottage. The pictures don’t do it justice, it’s just a wonderful place to stay. It’s cosy and very comfortable - great sitting room, good sized TV, well equipped kitchen and some lovely touches like tea, coffee, milk and a delicious cake. Fresh flowers in the sitting room and bedrooms felt really welcoming. The beds are super-comfy with lovely cotton bedding. The beautiful antique furniture is so well chosen for this truly charming cottage, very conveniently located for the centre of Tetbury and a few minutes’ walk from the Tithe Barn where we were attending a family party. Highly recommended and we hope to return. Thank you for your hospitality and welcome, Jodie and Glenn.

    Debbie2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • A clean, cozy and comfortable cottage. Well equipped. In the town with parking on the street right in front of the house. Great communication with Jodie regarding Wi-Fi problems. Beautiful town at your door stop with excellent pubs and restaurants. A great place for short walks around the village and further. Highly recommend this cottage. It will not disappoint.

    Jean2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Everything we needed, they were there to solve it. They also provided us some suggestions about the place and the cottage is as cosy as in the photos.

    Miriam2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Jodie and Glenn’s cottage. We were looking for a relaxing break away from city life but still with enough to do and close enough to local amenities. The property is beautiful and has so much character, with little touches like fresh flowers, tea, coffee and milk in the fridge and extra towels should we need them, really made us feel as if we were in our home away from home. Although there were so many wonderful restaurants in town, we opted to stay in and cook every night as there was everything we needed for it followed by relaxing in front of the electric fire watching a dvd, which are supplied, and enjoying a glass of wine or two! Jodie provide us with more great information for dog walks, not that we needed it with all the beautiful books and literature that was on offer in the cottage anyway. Needless to say our German shepherd had a wonderful holiday and could be found snoring in front of the fire every night. The cottage location is excellent, within minutes walk you are in Tetbury town with its abundance of yummy restaurants and personal shops. Jump in the car if you need to and the rest of the Cotswolds is within easy reach. We are already planning our next visit to Jodie and Glenn’s and can’t wait to come back!

Minchinhampton is a very attractive, thriving hilltop town, situated on a tongue of high land between the Golden Valley and the Nailsworth Valley, 1.5 miles north east of Nailsworth. The town also sits on the eastern fringes of Minchinhampton Common, high above the valleys that were once prosperous with the production of cloth. The centre of Minchinhampton is a picture-postcard image of what people expect of a small Cotswold town, with a selection of nice shops and places to eat. The town is centred on its High Street and old Market Square, the main feature of which is the late 17th century Market House, supported on stone columns. The interesting Holy Trinity Church dates from the 12th century and has a truncated spire looking over the Market Square. The church was given to Caen's Abbaye aux Dames by William the Conqueror and then in 1415 passed to Syon Abbey, in whose hands it remained until the Dissolution. Minchinhampton Common is a large area of open grassland with spectacular views over the Stroud and Nailsworth valleys. The area is owned by National Trust and is an important archaeological landscape, with prehistoric field systems, burial mounds and the remains of a defensive earthwork, known as The Bulwarks. In the summer the Commons are grazed by local commoners' cattle. The area covers 635 acres and is renowned for its colourful array of wild flowers and butterflies. Food & Drink For a small market town, Minchinhampton is fortunate to be blessed with a number of good places to eat and drink: The Crown Inn (https://www.thecrown-minchinhampton.com/): Roaring fires, a restaurant serving up locally inspired flavours, and a cellar stocked full of craft ales, fine wines, and fizz - when it comes to Cotswold country pubs, The Crown Inn is the perfect place to meet, eat, and make great memories. The Ragged Cot (www.theraggedcot.co.uk): Perched high on the Cotswolds outside the ancient market town of Minchinhampton sits the Ragged Cot, a country inn getaway created for serious pleasure seekers. Born of a 17th century coaching house inn set beside six hundred acres of National Trust common land the Ragged Cot is a pretty special place with an intriguing history of highwaymen and pilferage. The proprietors of the Ragged Cot take pride in their professional approach to food and service, with the seasonal menu offering great British food sourced from local farmers and even their own vegetable garden. With dishes such as seared ox tongue with pickled red cabbage, pheasant with braised leeks and artichoke puree or just simply ham, eggs with triple cooked chips you will always find a dish to fit; The Kitchen (www.thekitchenminchinhampton.co.uk): Choose a seat by the beautiful bay window and watch for riders trotting by on horseback or perhaps the occasional herd of cows strolling down from the Common. Serving delicious breakfasts, morning and afternoon teas, and lunches, all the locally sourced food is prepared fresh daily; The Old Lodge, Minchinhampton Common (www.food-club.com/old-lodge.htm): The Old Lodge is beautifully located in the centre of Minchinhampton Common. With unrivalled views of the Cotswolds, this 400 year old hunting lodge is the perfect place to escape the rush. Enjoy quality, locally sourced food served in the restaurant, the bar area, one of the smaller dining rooms or al fresco in the spacious garden. The stunning restaurant accommodates parties of up to 85 people seated and has floor to ceiling windows that look directly onto Minchinhampton Common. Minchinhampton also has an excellent butcher's shop and an organic cheese shop: L Taylor & Sons (www.taylorsminchinhampton.com): For nearly a century L Taylor and Sons has been supplying the highest quality meat to discerning customers. The quality of the shop has been recognised with a Cotswold Life Butcher of the year award; Woefuldane Organic Dairy (www.woefuldanedairy.co.uk): All the products are made by hand in the farm dairy in time honoured ways. The unpasteurised cheeses change throughout the seasons as the milk varies depending on what the cows are eating.
  • We would really recommend a stay at Little Culvert - the house is lovely, good size, nice outdoor space and really well equipped. We also loved the local area - fantastic butchers and dairy within 2-3 mins walking distance as well as lots of great places to run, walk and cycle (such as Minchinhampton Common just a five minute walk up the road). We're looking forward to going back to the area in the future.

    Sarah2020-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Little Culver for a long weekend, and the cottage is perfect for a weekend get away. Lots of stunning, long walks around the common, and a nice log fire to come back and enjoy in the evenings. The garden is lovely for enjoying a cup of tea in the sunshine and we will hopefully be back again soon!

Thoughtful touches like chocolates and biscuits on arrival were appreciated and the key safe made our arrival stress-free as travelling from London. Would definitely stay again if travelling to the Cotswolds.

The cottage is a recently refurfished Cotswold stone cottage, located in the historic town of Tetbury. A beautiful space to relax with family or friends, the cottage is a short walk from the centre of town, with pubs and restuarants in walking distance. The location is also perfect if you're attending a wedding nearby, being on the road which leads out towards Kingscote Barn and Matara Centre, with the Great Tythe barn being the other side of town.
We love having children to stay and have books, games and Netflix inside for relaxing. There are two bedrooms, the larger of the two has a big comfortable King size bed and the smaller bedroom is a cosy double which is comfortable for two. There is a log burner in the lounge which you are very welcome to use (logs not provided, though please let me know if you would like these in the cottage for your arrival and I will do my best have them ready for your stay, there will be an additional charge for these). The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and relaxing and has a dining table for 4. The bathroom features a large roll top bath (with shower over) and is perfect for a relaxing soak. There is a small lawn area to the front of the house and a large patio area to the side with a table for 4. It’s a real sun trap on a sunny day! Please contact me if you have any questions about accessibility and I will happily describe the space.
  • The Cozy Stone Cottage is just that. My sister and I Loved that we were able to stay in an authentic Cotswold dwelling. Georgie also really wonderful and very responsive. Should I return to the Cotswolds I would absolutely stay there again.

  • This is a lovely, beautifully renovated cottage in Tetbury - it has a rural feel but is just a few minutes' walk away from many independent shops, including antiques specialists, good cafes and the great Yellow-Lighted Bookshop. Westonbirt Arboretum is very close by, too. The cottage itself was spotless and extremely well-appointed, with a sleek kitchen and a beautiful bathtub. Instructions for check-in and parking were clear and very helpful. Highly recommended!

  • The house was lovely and had lots of thoughtful touches. It was also in a really good location for wondering around Tetbury! We had a lovely stay!

  • Great cottage in an excellent Cotswolds town. Very cosy and with a good log burner in the lounge. The kitchen and bathroom have been refurbished very nicely and there was everything that we needed to make our short stay really enjoyable.

  • Everything was perfect! The cottage is beautiful and has everything you need. Lots of lovely shops and restaurants just a short walk away. We had a lovely stay, a perfect escape for a weekend - thanks Georgie! Hope to be back soon!

  • Lovely cottage. Very cosy and perfect for a little get away in the Cotswolds. Only a 10 minute walk to the main high street in Tetbury. Log burner was great. Kitchen has everything you need for a break away i.e. Cleaning products, utensils etc. Georgie was very responsive when we had a few questions. Overall, a solid 9/10. Definitely worth a visit.

  • Georgie’s cottage is a perfect Cotswold retreat, beautifully decorated with lots of interesting features which makes for a really memorable stay. We loved the luxurious roll top bath in the immaculate bathroom, and the pristine kitchen was a joy to cook in! We had a wonderfully cozy, and extremely comfortable stay over the Christmas period, and would certainly recommend the cottage to couples or families.

    James2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Both Doris and her husband were welcoming, helpful and genuinely lovely people, with two equally lovely dogs! The double bedroom was perfect with a bathroom right next door, the bed was comfy and Doris kindly left us some bottled water in the room too. Continental breakfast gave a fantastic choice and using their kitchen was very simple. Would definitely stay again! Thanks!

  • Doris and Paul are the nicest people to host. Friendly from day one with a lovely warm family home and great dogs. They went the extra mile to settle Fred into the area and we really appreciated the fact that he stayed with them for one whole month. Well worth the money and peace of mind.

    Jane2019-09-30T00:00:00Z

  • A spot-on stay in a lovely property with a fascinating couple, Doris and Paul. As a result, the house has an engaging energy about it and is also superbly located, just a short amble into Tetbury. I’m pretty sure this why Airbnb was set up. Thank you so much.

Shared spacious house ideal for business and working guests visiting the area. The house is unique and rambling (the newest part was built in 1780). Quirky house and inhabitants including three large dogs - two of which are genuine wolfdogs. (Wolfdog experience on request - please make arrangements with the handler on arrival.)
Double bed with ensuite shower room. Fitted wardrobe. TV.
Inchbrook is a small hamlet between Nailsworth and Woodchester. A short walk from the house along a streamside lane the up through a field you arrive at the foot of Woodchester Park with its peaceful walks and splendid lakes. We are less than a mile from the vibrant town of Nailsworth with its pubs restaurants and shops, and 3 miles from Stroud.
  • Brilliant place! Best hosts I’ve had so far, I will definitely be going back soon!

    Matthew2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Love the chance to meet the wolf dogs! Lesley and daughter Emily were lovely hosts.

    Mary2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Perfectly placed for country walks, access to both Stroud and Nailsworth. Everything I could have needed for my short business trip and probably more.

    John2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely host and good clean room with everything you need. Didn't need a hairdryer so didn't look for one but everything else was there.

    Dawn2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • When I first arrived to this beautiful House, I was amazed immediately; I received a warm welcome, a house full with memories and love, I felt like I am in a different world, like Alice in Wonderland. My room was spotless and beautiful with its blue and white color and the additional bathroom just made it priceless. The description was more than accurate: lovely house with lovely garden, nice hosts and two welcoming, really playful wolf-dogs. I could do everything in the house: relax, work, study, socialize, it in or out, enjoy the sunshine or the rain in the garden, visit the surrounding natural beauty..... I really felt at home. Lesley and Emily were really helpful, throughout my stay. I could write a longer story how good my stay was, but the best is if you try it our yourself :) ! Thank you Lesley & Emily

    Gabriella2019-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place to stay at - I'd definitely come again! You can tell the Lesley has many years of experience with running a B&B. Everything was as described and she and daughter were so helpful with giving me tips and ideas how to use my time in the Cotswolds best. Perfect place as a basis to explore the area! Thanks again :)

    Tabea2019-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lesley, her daughter and their three dogs are great hosts and good company. The house itself is well placed for quick access to the main road and an easy walk up into Woodchester park, where you'll find lakes, walking paths and a mansion. We had a lovely stay here and would be happy to return again. My partner and I can thoroughly recommend the hospitality and comfort of their home.

  • Beautiful little cottage. Outstanding hospitality. Unforgettable location.

    Jason2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the Gatewillow garden room whilst attending a wedding down in Kingscote. The room was absolutely gorgeous, spotlessly clean and the little extra touches were really appreciated, like waking up to find bread and butter/jam for toast. The views outside the room are stunning. Would definitely recommend this room to anyone staying in the area.

    Jill2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a lovely place, Chris is such a great host! Rural and charming, cute dogs and miniature ponies running around. Such a beautiful base to see the Cotswolds from if you’re renting a car, and it was such a cozy place to stay with lovely amenities.
