A small group of us rented out The Trophy Room for the long New Years Eve weekend that just passed. Our primary goals when we started looking for a place to stay were to be close to Elk Mountain and to stay in a place that offered up an authentic mountain experience with some more modern amenities where they really matter (read: bathrooms and kitchen). The Trophy Room was perfect for both. Jake was extremely helpful and very quick to respond to any and all questions I had during the entire process from start to finish. The house had a great balance of rustic, authentic mountain hunting cabin feel with more modern and upgraded bathrooms and kitchen. The living room, dining room, and kitchen area all flowed nicely together which was perfect for our group and the views of the waterfall and creeks off of the back deck were amazing. Elk Mountain was just a short drive away and there was plenty of nature to explore just outside the back door. They now have Wi-Fi, which was a nice surprise. The TV is way more modern than what is shown in the photos, and the turntable and excellent selection of classic vinyl was a nice touch. Everyone in the group loved this place, myself included, and the weekend flew by. We hope to make it back again sometime in the near future!

Jake's house was perfectly located for a ski weekend at Elk. The bathrooms were new and updated, the house was spacious and comfortable and the wifi was a nice addition. This is a great place for a weekend ski get away and the view of the waterfall and creeks from the back porch were perfect!

This is a wonderful house if you're looking for a quite getaway with an amazing view. The house has a charming cabin feel and was very cozy. It was so nice to be off the map with little cell phone service while listening to the record player with a glass of wine. This place is a real gem and Jake is quick to respond to any of your questions or needs. I highly recommend this house as our group have discussed hoping to come back annually.

Great place! The pictures don't capture all the great space this house has. The deck, yard, waterfall and fire pit were a big plus. We loved our stay and Jake responded extremely quickly to any questions we had. I highly recommend staying here, you will not be disappointed!

A very special place!My husband, 10 year old daughter and I had a perfect ski ski weekend here. The house is beautiful, immaculate and has spectacular views in every direction. It feels like a classic mountain lodge, with the fireplace and wood beams. The guest room is a quiet and comfortable oasis overlooking the pond and Elk Mountain. Debra and Barry were so gracious and welcoming, and served a delicious breakfast both mornings. It was a delightful stay!

This cabin was a great little gem for a weekend ski trip! It's conveniently located off of the main road to Elk Mountain, and is within a 5 minute drive. The cabin was spacious enough to sleep 6 without any problems, and had a nice rustic feel. Michelle and Rhiannon were very responsive to help us out with any of our needs, and made check in and check out as easy as possible. I'd love to stay here again!

I almost don't want to write a review because I want to keep this gem of cabin a secret. We LOVED our stay. There were 4 of us and it was plenty of room. It can easily and comfortably fit 6 people. The pictures do not do it justice. It is a perfect cabin; homey, cozy, charming - feels just like a home away from home. It's also as close to Elk mountain as you could possibly get. The drive is 5 minutes. The wood stove was an added bonus. We snuggled up by the fire each night, enjoying music, food and plenty of board games! If you need a place that is close to Elk but want to feel secluded, this is the place for you!

Took my family of 5 skiing for the weekend and had a wonderful stay at Michelle' cabin. The location is minutes from Elk Mountain. The amenities are what you would expect for a cabin. It sleeps 6 comfortably. The views and the location are what make this place special. My kids explored the property for hours in the snow. We had family game night at the kitchen table and the wifi was nice to have when needed. The property manager is always a text away if you need anything or have questions.

Very peaceful, cozy cabin. It was a pleasant suprise to find the property has a creek running along side of it. Me and my wife enjoyed sitting on the back deck just listening to it. Great location about five minutes from Elk mountain and enjoyed dinner at Chet's and Candlelight Inn restaurant.

The Cabin was amazing! There was great communication and Michelle even left us firewood and chocolates! The cabin was beautiful and was only a 10 minute drive to the Elk Mountain slopes.

My family and I despised last minute to go away skiing at elk mountain last minute. We looked up this house and it was as described on the advertisement as well as the reviews. It was very clean and close to elk mountain(5 minutes away). Michelle and Rhiannon were very accommodating and quick in responding to any questions we had. We hope to return to elk mountain again next year and we would definitely stay here again.

The house is well-equipped and easy to rent. It is very close to Elk Mountain which made skiing there very easy.

It was the perfect location for an Elk Mountain getaway and very clean (!). The house décor was welcoming and cozy; we especially enjoyed the evening fires after a cold day of skiing. Our family of six had plenty of comfortable, private sleeping space. The linens were just like you would have at your own home. We brought some board games to keep us entertained in the evening as internet connections in that area are generally spotty. Leslie was very responsive to our inquiries and easily accessible. We definitely look forward to a return trip to Elk with this home in mind.

We had another fabulous stay at the Field house for some relaxation & weekend skiing. Just LOVE this place! So relaxing, comfortable & well maintained. And a big thx to the hosts for their prompt communication, flexible check out/in times (when possible) & letting us add on an extra night at the last minute.

The place was fantastic! Good location, spacious, as described. The hosts went out of their way to help us, not only with recommendations for the surrounding area, but answering a ton of our questions and helping us with loads of info! We'd definitely stay there again!

Paul and Bill were great communicators throughout the booking and stay. The house is stunning and it felt like a real treat to stay there. The house is situated beautifully on a hill and it's very cozy to stay inside and watch the weather changing through the walls and walls of windows. The decor is also a big draw, it felt like the pages of a design magazine poured over throughout the house. All the basic amenities in the kitchen were also greatly appreciated since we were primarily eating at home. Highly recommended!

Drop everything and come stay at this stunning home! There are so many wonderful things to say that I don't even know where to begin. The home is spotless, has all the amenities you'll ever need, and is just so warm and inviting. We did not want to leave. It's such a great space to get together with friends and just relax, laugh and be comfy! Paul and Bill were more than accommodating when we ran out of a couple supplies and had no problem turning up the heat for us when it got chilly outside. We will be coming back here for sure!

The Field House is absolutely perfect! It's a stylish and architecturally interesting home that also manages to feel cozy and inviting. There was plenty of space for our family of 6, and the kids were almost more excited for the house than they were the skiing. Not only is this a great weekend ski getaway, it seems like it would be a fantastic destination year round. Paul & Bill were very welcoming and responsive - wonderful hosts. A perfect get-away from urban life. Field House is beautifully decorated and maintained - modern, minimal, comfortable, immaculately clean and well kept - and the setting is spectacular and peaceful. We didn't have the opportunity to meet our hosts but every detail was as they described and the communication was perfect. Lake house was very reasonably priced and house owner held excellent communication with us. The house was clean and presentable. Spacious enough for 3 families. Outdoor space around the house was huge! Cons- Being that it is in a community the neighboring properties were not very friendly. Good lake for water sports, we had a jet ski and a boat. Only problem was that the dock was so steep that only a 4 wheel drive car can handle it. Not a good lake for swimming because the house is located across the street from the lake, doesn't have its own dock and other properties with a dock were private. There was no public beach anywhere on the lake.

David was very friendly and even helped me get my dress (RTR) delivered safely to the Airbnb. The place was so close to Fiddle Lake Farm, where the wedding was, and I wish we had more people stay with us in this big house--it was just me, my husband and our 11 month-old son. There wasn't much in the way of grocery stores or restaurants in the area, so the book of information he provided helped us find what we needed within a reasonable distance. My Verizon phone got service close to the Fiddle Lake House, but virtually nothing at the house. My husband's ATT phone got absolutely no service. For this reason, I wish that the Airbnb would have had internet. All in all, it was a great experience.

This place was perfect for our family's stay. We had our brother's wedding to attend at Fiddle Lake Farm and were able to entertain our 14 year old boys with fishing on the lake access area as well as a huge yard for games and a fire pit for smores (while easily going back and forth to the venue-walking distance for those who do not mind the scenic views-- an easy 10 minute walk). David was a fantastic host and worked with us throughout our stay. This turned a weekend wedding into a family vacation. We would recommend to anyone who would like a peaceful weekend with family at a rustic and cozy place who does not expect or amenities at a high end hotel with internet service and the business of transit and stores or shops---- a great getaway to escape the hustle and bustle of life. We did not have internet service and cell phone service was spotty so expect this over the general two to three mile distance surrounding Fiddle Lake, in general. The lake was across the dirt pathway and was easy to access and quiet. There is a general store (Arlo's) which is also a cafe style place by day with necessary groceries also available to purchase and a fun and relaxed pub like atmosphere at night. Sometimes bands play and admission is always free (the wedding after-party was here as well as brunch the next day). We are thankful we stumbled upon David's place and would not change a thing about our booking and time we spent at Fiddle Lake.

A wonderful place to stay on Fiddle Lake. Extremely clean and cozy cottage with a nice view of the lake. The cottage was also real close to Fiddle Lake Farms where we attended a wedding.

Crystal Lake area is the best! Sam's home is wonderful. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Great kitchen to make meals after a long day of skiing. 10-12 minute ride to Elk Mountain! We will be back often!!

This house is in a beautiful location and perfect for a group or family stay. We played lawn games in the yard and enjoyed a lot of time swimming in the lake and hanging out in the boat house (couple minute walk from the house). Host was very accommodating. Would stay again!

Great, cozy house, very clean!. Location is great, very secluded, lots of trees around and great view from porch. Bedrooms are also very cozy, clean fresh sheets and comfortable beds, clean shower, kitchen has all the utensils. We loved the furniture and lots and lots of room as it wasn't cluttered with anything. Very tasty decorations everywhere.

AH! What a cool place! We came for a weekend memorial getaway and the house was incredibly spacious, in a peaceful neighborhood. We spent our time in Clifford exploring the area (Claws & Paws, Lackawanna Coal Mine Tour, Jessup Carnival, local restaurants), hanging out on the lake in the boat house (it was like having two houses! really, a cool cool spot), walking around the lake, and cooking in / eating outside on the porch. It was better than we could have asked for (even for a rainy weekend)! Sam was quick to respond to any questions and an amazing host (even stocking the fridge w/ breakfast food)!! Would love to come back again :)

This house is ideal for a large extended family as the bedrooms are spacious and private as well as charming! The beds and sheets are very comfortable, and added to the country fresh air, you will sleep like a baby. The large front porch is excellent for relaxing and conversing while viewing peeks of the lake. The side yard is well manicured, level and was perfect for whiffle ball. Next time, we will bring our volleyball and net. The walk down to the lake, once you know the way, is easy. The boat house is a little run down and the swimming area is a little mucky; however, there is a dock and kayaks that allow water enjoyment. The house sits right next to a golf course so my son loved walking just a few steps to hit a bucket of balls! Truly, the longer our stay, the more we loved this unique home of yesteryear charm.

We had a great time staying at this home! The lake was really enjoyable for us, I'm glad we choose this place to spend our weekend. Only issue for us was finding food, Arlos was the close by but usually had a long wait time. So if I could give any advice, remember to keep the food aspect of your trip in mind!

Ralph's family's home is a true gem. The pictures don't do it justice. It's right on a picturesque lake, complete with hammock, BBQ, firepit, and canoes. It's everything you could want in a weekend getaway.

We arrived very late on Friday night and found that Liz had left us a little goody basket and also everything we needed to make breakfast the first morning. Liz's Cozy Elk ski cottage was just that very cozy. Everything about the property was warm and inviting, including Liz herself. Liz was readily available for any questions and was very accommodating. She provided me with advice on where to rent my ski gear and eat out with my guests. The cottage itself was comfortable and spacious. The neighborhood was upscale, safe and quite. The cottage was very conveniently located to Elk Mountain only about 15 min away. If and when I go back to Elk Mountain area I intend to rent this property again and would suggest it to all my friend.

Liz is an awesome host. The house was left perfect and she makes sure you have all you need. This is my second time at this cottage and will keep coming back. One of the most relaxing retreats of my life.

Liz had great communication and very easy to work with. Had welcome basket for our arrival and breakfast "fixins" in the refrigerator. The house, as she mentions in her listing, is lived in and quite eclectic. My teenage kids thought it was cool. We enjoyed the wood burning stove and her record player! 15 minute ride to Elk Mountain. Good value for 4-5 people for ski weekend.

I could not have had a better experience. The location of the house is really great, and the lake (which is basically right out the front door) was clean and the atmosphere was so relaxing. Liz was a wonderful host, and she was very accommodating. I can't wait to come back to this place.

What a lovely lakehouse! Incredibly peaceful and comfortable, with easy lake access and plenty of outdoor space for tons of activity - frisbee, yoga on the deck, canoeing, reading, BBQ'ing, and more. Additionally, the area is great for a morning walk/run, and with a large grocery store about 15 minutes away. Getting together friends from DC and NYC, it was the perfect distance that felt like worlds away from either city. We've never had a more relaxing weekend! On top of all this, Liz is a wonderful host - so incredibly responsive and truly made sure we had everything we needed! Could not have appreciated that level of care more! Will definitely be bookmarking this for future weekends!

This property has a beautiful view of the lake but thats it. We had quite a few issues with our stay ranging from cleanliness to a mouse in the kitchen to a hole in the ceiling and no curtains in the master bedroom. The photos don't accurately represent this property so beware.
