A DREAM COME TRUE! We were welcomed by Lynne and friendly staff on a long gravel road to begin our stay. We loved the picturesque field of grass, cedar and pine trees that lay foreground as we opened the windows of the treehouse in the morning. Great weather allowed us to spend an entire day lounging poolside, enjoy meals outdoors and manage a walk around the vast property. There's so much attention to detail in both residences, from repurposing old ladders to using twigs and branches as hooks and curtain rods. Overall this place is a gem that needs to be seen to be appreciated!

This Treehouse and Cabin is absolutely stunning! I did my due diligence and read up on the listing - some friends would say that I stalked the place prior to booking (those people would be right lol). Yet, none of that prepared me for this gem. Unreal property! This is such a unique find and was perfect for us girls to get away for a few nights and unwind. I’ve had so many friends and family reach out who also want to book this now. We had a party of 6 and felt well taken care of. The host was quick to address any questions or concerns. Lynne left us gals gift bags which was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. The space was perfect for us girls - there was lots of room to have our own space. The cabin doesn’t get as much attention but the upstairs room in there was gorgeous. Every details was well thought out and we spent major overtime in the pool. Go ahead and just book it - you’ll join the long line of fans. We will be back!

This little slice of heaven is by far the most amazing place that we have ever stayed! Nothing even come close to comparing to this. From the moment we pulled in the laneway and met Lynn, until the time we left, we felt like family. Lynn’s attention to detail goes beyond any of our expectations. The treehouse, cabin, pool, bathrooms, and everything in between were absolutely stunning. Small touches such as fresh flowers in vases throughout, some beverages to enjoy, and a small gift were extremely thoughtful and so kind. Our getaway there was timeless. It is an amazing place to be able to reconnect without the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Lynn’s husband Mike was around a bit and was also super welcoming and extremely nice. Neither of them were intrusive and were extremely considerate of our space and time alone on their property, yet only a text away if we needed anything. We are forever grateful for our experience at the Treehouse. We are now going to make it an annual trip. We made memories to last a lifetime and our hearts were full when we left!! Stop thinking about it and just book your time there. Dates fill up fast and there is no question as to why. You will not regret it!! One last note... make sure you take a second to go down the slide!! We all have a kid left in us and this is a great way to reconnect with that :D

Nothing truly matches up to this hidden gem. The attention to detail is everywhere. For three days I kept noticing more and more little design features and amenities all over the property. It is very obvious that there is a lot of love, care and time going into this property to make sure guests are blown away when they arrive and it continues as you wake up each morning. The customer care is so personal. I truly felt like our happiness mattered and the staff and family would do anything to help (and they did when we reached out). I loved the fact that we were living in the great outdoors but still experiencing all of the luxuries a luxury hotel. Simply a beautiful place to unwind and relax.

Lynne and Michael have created and shared a space that one could only dream of visiting. Everything is pristine, Lynne has thoughtful touches everywhere and you truly feel like you are in a far away place. The vibe is positive and the atmosphere is so relaxed, my girlfriends and I had such a wonderful time and I am so grateful to have had the experience. Thank you for sharing your piece of heaven with us!!! This magical place is one to not be missed!!!

Where do I begin? I honestly don't know if I can summarize the experience I had here in a few short paragraphs ... but I will try. Let's start with before we got there. From the moment I booked, Lynne was sending me info and answering all of my ridiculous and frantic questions. I booked for a bachelorette weekend and she made sure that all the ladies and I were taken care of. It can be difficult to coordinate so many people and their varying personalities, but she was completely supportive and relaxed about everything. Lynne is positive, cheerful and exudes a calm, welcoming energy. She is clearly passionate about what she does and extremely professional. We couldn't have asked for a better host! When we got there, the space blew me away. Pictures DO NOT DO THIS PLACE JUSTICE! It was a total escape from the stresses of city life. The treehouse, cabin and outdoor spaces were all sooo beautifully designed! As a lover of design, I was in HEAVEN! It's worth it just to experience the shower there. Also, I have never been so excited to use an outhouse. (There is a running toilet, but trust me...you will want to use the outhouse. It is PIMPED OUT!) It's obvious how much love and care Lynne has put into all the details. It was like living in a dream for 2 days...and I didn't want to wake up! The price seemed high to some people at first, but in reality it's really not. When we got there we quickly realized what goes into making the spaces so spectacular. The price is more than fair and 100% worth it! I am SOOO grateful I got to experience this place. I would go back in a heart beat! THANK YOU SO MUCH, LYNNE!!!! <3

Stop reading reviews and book the Treehouse now. Seriously. Stop wasting time. Book it or someone else will. The Retreat is unbelievably relaxing, instant responses from Lynne and her team with any questions and concerns you may have, it’s clean, it’s quiet, it’s designed and decorated beautifully, etc etc etc. I don’t have a single complaint about our experience. A very cozy cabin with a stunning view of the countryside. A clean modern interior with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay.

Great little cabin stay! Cozy and comfortable with a fire pit at the front and lots of firewood & fire starter. Hosts are very kind and quick to respond. Note the water here is high in iron concentration so bring extra bottled water just in case. Hosts will provide a 4L spring water as well.

Just a wonderful time. The space is great and modern but nicely secluded within nature. They have some very friendly horses so it was an nice escape away from city life. Catherine and Thomas couldn’t’ be more welcoming and caring on our arrival. Checking in on us and ensuring our stay was up to standard - which it was. Defiantly a top AirBNB experience and hosts.

Catherine’s place is a perfect quiet getaway. It is big and bright with very comfortable beds and lots of nice touches for the guests! I highly recommend!

Catherine and Thomas’ place was wonderful! The suite is quite spacious and very clean with tons of natural light. The large property is absolutely stunning and perfect for a get away from the city hustle and bustle. The hot tub was a great place to relax & unwind! The horses and pony were very friendly and love to see us come visit them with carrots in hand! Overall the experience was great & I would definitely recommend Catherine & Thomas’ place!

I can’t leave a review for the very place as unfortunately I had to cancel my stay due to weather conditions, but I can witness Catherine has demonstrated a fantastic customer support by warning me in advance and being helpful in the cancelation. I trust she is an excellent host, caring for the best of her visitors.

Myself, my girlfriend, our daughter and a couple of classmates booked a 3 day 2 night stay but unfortunately due to weather were only able to stay the one night,but that one night we were there went above and beyond expectations! Catharine and Thomas were in the unit below which was nice if we needed anything. The place was beautiful, there were notes posted all around the place with directions for what to do and not to do,very clear. They had breakfast in the fridge for the mornings along with milk and cream for the coffee and tea, and also carrots to feed the horses! They also had some pamphlets for some restaurants around the area, a computer to use and of course wifi. The hot tub was just the cherry in top. Over all for the time we were there it was a great experience. Thank you catharine and Thomas for your great hospitality!

This place was beyond what we expected. The host was super helpful and was very easy to communicate. The horses and the hot tub was def a cherry on top. We had an awesome stay and would recommend my friends and family for sure. Cat so sorry about the mess we made and fully taking responsibility of that! I should of been more careful. Thank you

We had a great winter getaway here! The place was very clean, check in was easy and there were lots of instructions so we were not left wondering about anything. There were nice little touches like eggs in the fridge, and robes and slides to put on to go to the hot tub. This is within driving distance to many small quaint towns, as well as Owen Sound and Collingwood. We had a great stay!

We stayed at Catherine's place for a few days during the week in February as a small getaway, and it was very clean and comfortable overall. The horses and the hot tub are really nice bonuses, and the place is very spacious. There's some additional rules to note with the hot tub if you're staying during the week; we were able to talk to the host about some options which was very kind of them! It's less secluded, especially with the downstairs unit occupied, but it was a nice break from the city. Thank you Thomas and Catherine for having us! 4.5/5 overall :)

Dianne's place is a perfect getaway spot. My boyfriend and I have now visited twice, both in winter, because the scenery is so beautiful and the area is so peaceful. It has become our favourite spot. We so enjoyed being tucked away from the world, relaxing with Netflix, books, and warm meals. The apartment was spotless, and Dianne really puts thought into everything, from amenities to local tips. She and her family are friendly and chatted with us for a while, and they have very cute dogs! Everything about this space is perfect for two, and I have absolutely no criticism that I can report! We would highly recommend this spot, and would love to return again (maybe to check out a different season)!

I've stayed at Dianne's many times this ski season. It's a lovely, cozy place that served our little family very well, and we're looking forward to being back next season. It's been lovely coming home from a day of skiing to relax in front of the fire. The kitchen is great. My only advice is to pack slippers or thick socks because the floor in the bathroom is chilly on cold days.

Dianne’s AirBNB was a beautiful, cozy, quiet getaway loft! The amenities that Dianne packed the house with made our weekend easygoing and smooth. The kitchen had everything you could think of, and you could tell there was much thought put into everything provided. There are lots of games, books, and PS3 games to keep a family entertained for a whole week. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was nice and roomy, and everything was very clean! We would 100% return to this lovely gem in Markdale.

My husband and I came here for a weekend getaway and we were blown Away. Just over 2 hours from London this was a diamond in the woods. When we arrived we were greeted by the hosts and their lovely dogs. We drove up to our cabin up the lane way and arrived at our truly private getaway. The cabin was very clean. The views Into the woods were spectacular. The wrap around deck including the hot tub was such a nice touch! After hiking during the day (Hoggs falls and Eugenia falls- totally worth the 10 min drive) it was amazing to relax in the hot tub with a cold drink. The living room was so great. Huge windows facing the woods and cable tv if u want to unwind to that. Spectacular place to listen to music and watch the stars. We’re already planning the next trip back. Thanks milena and Johnny!

For the second year in a row, we chose the ReLive Retreat for an annual winter weekend getaway. What we love most is the mild aroma of the wood fired stove (lots of wood and kindling available, with instructions on how to operate the stove provided), the light from all the large windows, and the time connecting in person. The kitchen, bathroom (shower and full size washer/dryer included), and BBQ all work great. The outdoor hot tub is right off the deck outside the door, so you can quickly get in and out before you have time to get cold. The hot tub fits four comfortably, is very clean, warm, and does not have a heavy chemical smell. There are some games and movies for relaxing indoors, and tons of space to go for walks. We enjoy going into Flesherton (<15 min drive) to The Bicycle Café for a meal (highly recommended). There are also bakeries, cheese and meat shops in town for some high quality cottage provisions. It is a classic Canadian cottage experience. Bring some puzzles, games, a book or two, and put on some classic Canadian tunes for a weekend to remember. Beautiful views and relaxing environment. Loved our stay!

Milena and Johnny have created an amazing space to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Their cabin is beautifully situated with hiking trails that are easy to access and a hot tub with a beautiful view. Our vacation was made even more enjoyable because our dogs were welcome.

I booked a getaway as a gift for my husband and didn’t know what to expect. Milena and Johnny are wonderful hosts and along with their two dogs, Happy and Boca, make you feel very welcome. Their place was outstanding in every way (and only a couple of hours from Toronto). The cabin was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed, including a bbq. There is a hot tub just off the deck that we enjoyed after a hike around the property (snowshoes were provided). The property itself was absolutely beautiful. We spent hours hiking the peaceful trails around the forests and meadows and watched the sun go down through the large cabin windows. Milena and Johnny have just built two Mongolian Yurts on the property and my husband and I are looking forward to returning to ReLive Retreat to experience what the other seasons may bring.

We just stayed at the cabin for a couple of nights for our anniversary and this place was absolutely magical! All the trees are covered in ice and snow, which makes them glow in the sunlight giving it a very surreal experience. The cabin was very cozy with a wood stove and having a roaring fire while its snowing outside was very relaxing. We braved the hot tub in -10, getting in and out was a bit rough because of the cold, but once you are in the hot tub you get to enjoy the beautiful view and the steam coming off the water makes it feel like a hot spring, which was totally cool! The trails around their property are so snowy and it feels like a fairy tale walking through them. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!

ReLive cabin is a lovely retreat. It's very private and quiet and the hot tub was wonderful after a day of skiing at Blue. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you'd need to make meals. We loved having a BBQ available. The full wall of windows offers a gorgeous view of the property beyond. We loved waking up in the morning, stoking the fire in the gorgeous wood-burning stove and sitting back with a hot tea/coffee and enjoying the view. On our last day we hiked around Hogg's Falls, which is very close by. We highly recommend a visit to Milena and Johnny's place.

This was hands down one of our favourite air BNB stays of all time. Markdale serves as a beautiful base to explore Owen sound and Grey County with all its waterfalls and nature hikes but we spent most of our time soaking in the country love that Andrea and John have created here. They are sweet and kind hosts who went the extra mile to show us around the farm and introduce us to all their lovely animals who were gentle, friendly and played well with our dog. The apartment is clean, well lit and stocked with every kind of kitchen gadget allowing for gourmet meals to be made while looking out at picturesque countryside, complete with donkeys and birds playing in the paddock. We will definitely be back!!

Perfection is an understatement for this stay . The hosts Andrea and John were beyond friendly and accommodating. The little touches were great and filled ours and our children’s hearts . Thank you for letting us meet all your amazing animals and sharing your amazing home.

This was an absolutely wonderful stay! Andrea and John and amazing hosts - kind, friendly, willing to tour you around the farm and offer suggestions and advice on what to do around the area. They were super responsive and close by if we needed them. The airbnb is perfect for a little getaway. It's spacious, has lots of cooking space, and plenty of little amenities. The property itself is beautiful and has lots of places to snowshoe/ski. It's about 40-50 minutes to Blue Mountain/Collingwood but if you're just planning on doing a day trip, it makes for a pretty drive out and isn't an issue. Otherwise you can occupy yourself around the property, and meet Andrea and John's extended family of furry/fluffy friends. Really great AirBnb and we're excited to visit again :)

Heavens. Acres is exactly that!! We arrived and were greeted and welcomed by our extraordinary hosts Rick and Laura, who went above and beyond for us from the moment we arrived. The 'boys' Cooper and Clifford (2 beautiful, well trained., and well behaved dogs) were were next to greet us! The property is a nature lovers dream come true and the guest loft is absolutely amazing. All the comforts of home plus some added extras we didn't expect...(hot choc, tea, coffee, real cream, fruit, breads, honey...) We hope to return again...and again..... Looking forward to a night around the Fire pit with Laura and Rick and the boys. These are the type of people you meet and hope to have in your life always and forever!!

Rick and Laura are amazing hosts! Communication with them was easy and flowless. Their place is sparkling clean and very cozy with lots of small details. We just returned from a weekend at Heavens Acres. We had a wonderful stay in the country. Our room was clean and comfortable. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and some breakfast items were left in our room for us to enjoy which was an added bonus. Also, we  were treated to home made cookies during our stay which were delicious! We travel with our 2 dogs and were happy to find an accommodation that was pet friendly. Lots of room on the property for the dogs to explore. We also enjoyed a campfire on our last night. Thanks again!

Elizabeth’s BnB is amazing! Great trails and forest to explore and we loved coming back to a warm fire. There were lots of amenities in the house. Comfortable beds, two full bathrooms, three bedrooms and lots of dry firewood for the fire.place. Elizabeth was generous and helpful! We had a fantastic long weekend and a great winter get away!

Elizabeth's place was wonderful! The place was clean and inviting, with a beautiful forest surrounding the home with many trails to explore. The kitchen has lots of handy utensils as well as some basic food/condiment items if needed. Sitting around the roaring fireplace was my favorite part. Very cozy!

We LOVED our stay at Michael and Elisa’s farm! The yurt was very cute and comfortable, and also heated up really nice. There are many animals on the farm, and Michael also let us watch him milk the cows! Rosie the dog is the sweetest, and will follow you around very politely if you let her. The breakfast was also amazing. Overall, we were very impressed and happy with our stay on the farm, and will definitely be returning. Thank you Michael and Elisa!

Loved this stay. The styling was amazing. The breakfast was literally out of this world. So fresh! Hosts were super inviting and friendly. I'm not a huge fan of dogs but omg their dog followed us around the barn and would melt anyone's heart. Seriously a sweetheart. The yurt itself was warm and cozy. Our laptop died and there was no plug but it was a good opportunity to unplug and relax. Would like the recipe for the UNREAL croissants.

The yurts were clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and warm. Elisa and Michael are wonderful hosts and very accommodating. We were blown away by the property. I recommend the additional breakfast And sleigh ride.

What an absolutly magical place. We got WAY more than we bargained for. We thought we were just getting a relaxing night away when really their is so much on the property to explore. The yurt was so clean and had everything we needed. Great hospitality and guest services (absolutly love their pooch Rosie making sure we were safe and happy). The area is stunning to explore but I had the most fun on the farm. To the magical lights at night lighting up the entire farm walkway, to the barn with hay bails and swing ropes to play on really brings out the kid in you, the barn full of animals to explore and kittens to cuddle. We will definitely be back to this delightful property. Could not have had a better trip 😍🤗

My children had an enjoyable experience. They loved the idea of staying in a Yurt within the outdoors closer to nature. The place was nice and warm, bedding was nicely prepared. The big lovable dog of the owners was a big bonus.

Good place for one night

The room is like hotel room with private bathroom and it is very comfortable. It is indeed in a retirement home but that didn’t make any difference to me. Both the personnel and the residents are ver nice and friendly. The buzzer is not a big deal at all either. I would absolutely recommend it and would definitely come back when I’m in the area. Great place to stay at a very convenient price!

Abbeyfield is a great place to stay. Location is easily accessible, plenty of parking. The room is a generous size as is the bathroom. The accommodations are very clean. Having breakfast with the residents and the best part. Everyone is super friendly. Have been recommending to friends since our first visit.

Wow! Just wow! Great weekend away from the city. So peaceful- even slept for 10 hours, which never happens! Valentine was so accommodating- even lent some snow boots because my boyfriend forgot his. Such a unique place to stay! I was surprised how warm the barn got and the pictures doesn't do justice! This place is beautiful! Very “instagramable” We will be back in a warmer month to enjoy more activities! Thanks again!

This is the perfect place for a weekend getaway, so many things to do. There were a few feet of snow when we arrived, but still we went snowshoeing and had a fire outside and enjoyed looking at the stars. Inside we warmed up and played games and basketball. There was so much to do and the hosts truly thought of every little detail.

The Freija Loft was a perfect place to relax with our dogs for a weekend. We explored the property and adjacent nature preserve + took a drive to Inglis Falls which was very close by. The stay was very comfortable, clean, and super unique. We'd love to come back in the summer to take advantage of the pond & fire pit!

This spot is lovely. We stayed for a short period but it felt like a special getaway because of the uniqueness of the barn loft and the forest that surrounds it. The home has everything you need to enjoy time away from the city. Really recommend this place. We had a lot of fun .

We had lovely weekend getaway at Dragonfly Hollow. The space was more than accommodating for our family of 4. It was clean, warm and quiet. There is wifi, and free parking on the premises. It is located in the countryside but a 15-20 minute drive to restaurants and shops if needed. There are plenty of outdoor activities in the surrounding areas. Susan was a great hostess and added some fantastic personal touches. She also made sure we had more than enough snacks and breakfast food. We will definitely be back in the summer.

I visited Dragonfly Hollow two weeks a ago for one cozy night with friends and it was perfect! Suzan is an amazing host who took care of everything we needed! The place was amazing, so clean and peaceful! There were some snacks, board games, and stuff you would maybe forgot to bring like showergel and shampoo. We felt really welcome and I would highly recommend this spot if you like to be in nature!

We spent the New Year’s Eve in this amazing place. Susan let us know that it’s the granny suite that we’re staying to avoid confusion, and asked our name to put a personal touch to it. Her place has all the snacks and fruits, and the yummy jams. Everything is clean - it’s an old fashioned place gives you a feel of home. The next day we went to a hike and Susan showed us amazing view . It’s just amazing. We hope to come back again in summer or autumn.

Catherine's place is a gem in the countryside! Check-in was easy, Catherine greeted us, introduced the entire farm to us, showed us around the place, helped us with more fire woods. She made sure we have enough fire woods to burn at night, enough blankets for sleeping, and she even prepared bath ropes for us to enjoy the hottubs and many towels! Thanks Catherine, you are very attention to detail! The RV is very new, Catherine mentioned she didn't even get much chances to use it yet. The space is sparkling clean, and spacious for three people. The kitchen has everything you would need to. And the fridge has all kinds of sauces and breakfast that Catherine prepared for us. The farm is beautiful!! There are bulls, cats, horses on the farm. There is a little private trail that leads us the beautiful field with round hay bales. The field is so beautiful during sunset, you have to see it in person. Forgot to mention the century old barn, the RV is right beside it which made our stay felt very unique. At night we set the fire and watched stars. We had so much fun during our stay! Overall the experience is way way better than I had imagined. Beautiful people, beautiful farm. If you are looking for a unique and comfortable countryside experience, this is the place to stay at! You will love it!

Catherine and Thomas are kind, very hospitable and engaging. I had a wonderful time at the farm. It was a dream to listen to the birds everyday, spend time with the horses and be in nature. I highly recommend booking here. I can't wait to return. If I could give 10 stars I would!!!

One of the best Airbnb experience we've ever had. Catherine and Thomas are really nice and responsive to all our questions and requests. The amenities are also much better than we expected from an RV. Basically it got everything we need for a small family. They even provided breakfast and variety of sources in the fridge. The best part is the surprisingly pleasant "farm" life there. We watched the cows roaming around, fed the horses they kept, walked the private trail with our little dog and saw the endless wheat field. In the evening we also enjoyed the fire pit where everything is well prepared. Should definitely try their fancy hot tub next time.

Catherine was such a good host and went above and beyond for us and our stay. We were greeted with a fire and a tour of the property. They supplied us with a stocked fridge full of breakfast food for the morning, and the RV was spotless and looked brand new. The hot tub is amazing and in the morning we got to pay a visit to three of her horses which were gorgeous! I couldn’t be happier with our stay, and I highly reccomend it to anyone considering.

We had an amazing vacation in Catherine's RV. Her and her boyfriend were very welcoming and one of the most thoughtful and wonderful hosts I've ever met! They gave us not only privacy, but also everything we need. It was our first time staying in an RV and we wanted to relax and spend time in a quiet place, so it was perfect! We had a BBQ, made a fire in the fire pit while watching the stars and fireflies at night(there was soo many stars). We fed the horses, had beautiful nature walks, and enjoyed a very relaxing luxurious hot tub. I would love to come back as soon as I can! Definitely recommended.

Best host Amazing experience

This place is breathtaking. From the moment you enter the lane way throughout the property. The cabin is cozy but just enough room for one or a few people, this old style is for sure something to try and truly appreciate what we do have day to day. Prefect place to reset and get some fresh air! The breakfast included was also spectacular as I wasn’t even expecting it, from coffee & tea to some fruit and a breakfast sandwich that kept me full into the late afternoon, quiet delicious.

It’s a tiny cabin in the woods, so expect that and you’ll be very happy. Especially considering the amenities when compared to your typical cabin in the woods. We enjoyed the sauna just a short stroll from the cabin (situated within a small teepee village), had fun exploring and playing with our pup in the snow, and the breakfast that was brought to the front door in the morning was fantastic. Highly recommend!

We had a nice stay overall, but it could be much better if we brought our own firewood. Those logs we bought on site were all damp and huge for such a small stove. Even the kindling we found in the cabin was all wet and didn’t help to set a good standing fire. So we spent the whole evening trying to make the stove go and letting the smoke out of the cabin. Also bring a good camp lantern because the ones provided are very dim. Other than that the cabin is very nice, exactly as described. A little overpriced though for what it is.

Cozy little cabin in the woods heated by a wood furnace and surrounded by beautiful nature. Nana and her staff were terrific and accommodating hosts. My girlfriend and I stayed overnight and had a great time. We were also able to enjoy the on-site hot tub (located about 100 feet away in the little teepee village) and were treated to a tasty breakfast/coffee delivered to us in the morning. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a secluded getaway and “pioneer-style” accommodations.

If you like roughing it at the cottage then this place is the best. Very cozy little cabin lots of sleeping space tasty little breakfast and the surrounding nature is breathtaking. Nana runs a fine establishment and she cares about the little things and she is great at resolving any issue that may arise. We highly recommend this place for a unique and relaxing outdoor experience.

This is an awesome and unique experience - the Yurt is amazing! The hosts were accommodating of our questions and needs with quick responses. The Yurt is set up well with a nice table for games, and a comfy bed!

An amazing winter experience, quiet and peaceful and toasty warm in the yurt on a very cold and snowy weekend. Highly recommended if you want a quiet, country stay. Michael was a super host, extremely welcoming and prepares a very delicious breakfast.

Everything is amazing about this place. We stayed on a cold winter night and were warm and toasty in the blue yurt. It was cool to hear about all the details in an authentic Mongolian yurt (yak fur felt!). Bakery was tasty and breakfast as phenomenal. They really care about the guests experience and their impacts on the environment. Will definitely stay again!

What an absolutely wonderful experience. The yurt was cozy and clean. It was so lovely to be in the outdoors. Elisa has a beautiful walking trail behind the yurts. Wood and fire starters are provided for the wood burning stove. It gets nice and warm. There is also a kettle so make sure to bring yourself some tea or hot cocoa. Bring a couple flashlights as it got dark around 6:00pm. You sleep so wonderfully with all the fresh air. Would definitely return!

Fantastic. 10/10 recommend. I am speechless and cannot praise this place and the hospitality enough. A great experience for anyone looking to unwind in the quiet. Great local restaurant (vegan based, and I am not a vegan) nearby - the Thai curry was delicious to eat by the cozy stove in the yurt, cuddled up with a book and beer. I hope to come back someday.

If you are coming to experience a yurt, you’ve found the right place! Beautiful and warm in the proper Mongolian style(need to be comfortable using a wood stove) this place is a hidden gem! A wonderful farm run by Elisa and Michael who are warm and friendly and care about making your stay as enjoyable as possible. The farm is very easy to find and fun to explore with many small towns to explore, breweries close by, and just a relaxing getaway from your daily routine. I would recommend this spot, just be prepared with a lot if snacks! Also, you can order a fresh Made hot breakfast with local produce for an added bonus which is nice on a cold morning! Friendly and accommodating host and their family. My family and I had first great experience staying in a Mongolian yurt for 3 days and 2 nights. Would go back again!

A brilliant place to escape and enjoy nature. Waterfront with kayaks and dry paddleboat, fire pit with wood offered and comfortable outdoor seating is where you will spend most of your time. Water is clear and beachfront runs deeper where swimming would be ideal. Beautiful views of open space across the water and very private and quiet. House is well appointed with lots of space to dine indoors or relax. Explore the woods across from the house, waterfalls and spot the caves near the rocks. Kids would love it too. Take out fish and chips and Chinese in town were good! Why eat there when paradise views are waiting back by the river. Dan is a great host and thoughtful!

Dan and Carrie’s place is so cozy and the location is amazing. The private beach is perfect and the river is so clean. Dan is super nice and the house is awesome: very comfortable, amazing views, it has everything you need. We really enjoyed the sunsets from the dock and the paddle boat. It was also very conveniently located for us, about midway between Toronto and Bruce peninsula national park. We'd definitely love to come back next summer!

Perfect place to enjoy the amenities of home while having an “up-north cottage” feel. Carrie and Dan are the perfect hosts. So kind, thoughtful and always quick to respond. Love having a king-size bed and cozy duvet. Best sleep for being away from home. Dan & Carrie provide every amenity that you can think of. The outdoor property is amazing and they have loads of activities for both on and off the water suitable for all family members. We also love that we can bring our dog and they even left us a bottle of wine and dog treats along with a leash/tie out rope. Fire pit is an added bonus. We will continue to book here each summer even if only for a few days.

Irene's place was a wonderful spot to getaway from the city and relax. Hanover hideaway has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking equipment to keep any chef going. Essential spices and cooking supplies were provided. The master bedroom has a wonderful king size bed with cozy linens. Lots of extra blankets, towels and pillows make for comfortable surroundings. WiFi was fast and consistent. Outside of the cottage, there is plenty to enjoy on the lake -- we made use of the BBQ, canoe, kayak and paddle boats and enjoyed lost of time on the water. The outdoor swing lounger is an amazing comfy place to kick-back. From booking through to check-out, Irene was very prompt with communication, and flexible. She even provided us with a very nice welcome basket to enhance our stay at her place. The surrounding community is friendly and welcoming -- we even enjoyed end of summer live music and fireworks from the fire-pit as the community celebrated labour day on the lake. Would certainly recommend and stay again!

Irene’s place is so warm and cozy. It’s the perfect beach house with an amazing kitchen. There was everything we could possibly need and she left us little thoughtful gifts for my son. The water was great and the neighbours were so exceptionally nice and even took us on a boat ride. The bed was super cozy as well. Great fishing for my little guy and it was so nice to have a bonfire every night. It was hard to leave and definitely left a piece of my heart there in Hanover.

We did not want to leave! Irene has thoughtfully provided everything you could need or want at her cottage. She had a wonderful goodie basket waiting for us when we arrived. Lake Rosalind has so many activities on it and the community on the lake were thoughtful, caring and respectful. All the beds and furniture (inside and out) were comfy. Loved sitting on the deck with a good book and soaking in the breeze. It was exactly what our family needed!

This is our second time staying at this stunning location in the fall!! We absolutely loved the site the first time we stayed and had to come back. The campsite has everything you need with a lot of thoughtful touches. We asked Valentine to rent additional camping gear and they set up the tent for us in advance. The site itself is beautifully secluded with access to well marked forest trails and lakes. Ghazal and Valentine responded so quickly before and throughout our stay making check-in and asking questions super easy. They were both so hospitable and made our stay enjoyable! The local recommendations were great! Williamsford Pie company was delicious!

We had a wonderful stay. The campsite is incredibly private and the property itself is beautiful. Having wood and drinking water provided (as well as the small kitchen space) was a nice touch. The composting toilet was clean and comfortable. The only thing I would note is that while we were able to drive directly to the campsite (because our car could handle the journey), it would have been a bit of steep/bumpy walk with all our gear. Regardless I highly recommend this spot for a camping experience that feels more adventurous than a standard park but without any of the actual inconveniences!

If you want secluded camping, this is the best. Nice land for pitching tents with the nearby ponds for swimming. The included amenities make for nice touches that make camping more pleasant. I would highly recommend this as a camp site. It’s well worth the money.

Great place, I came up with two friends to celebrate my friends birthday. We did a beautiful hike in lionshead earlier in the day, which is just an hour away from the campsite. Make sure you take advantage of the beautiful ponds and the canoe! They provide many things that you may need for camping- bug spray, toilet paper, pots for cooking, water, etc. They answer messages really quickly, so i felt like if I ever needed anything it would be addressed really quickly. We also had a great campfire the night we were there. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic stay with warm and welcoming hosts! This is a rare authentic Mongolian yurt made of traditional natural materials. The yurt is very spacious, cozy, and well insulated. The location is amazing, right at a biodynamic farm. Outstanding farm meals can be ordered directly from Elisa for a reasonable price. If you are looking for a rustic place to unwind and recharge, this yurt is perfect. This was a truly unique countryside experience on many levels. We will be back soon for sure.

Heather's place is fantastic. It is refreshingly unique, in an era when so many Airbnbs have come to look exactly the same. Heather and Doug were very nice and welcoming and we chatted for quite a while when we arrived. I feel like this is the sort of experience Airbnb originally intended and has become less and less common.

What a unique space! We got the quiet and cozy getaway we needed. Plus, unexpected treats (farm fresh eggs and garden veggies) and excellent tips for nearby hiking trails. We were well taken care of.

A very clean, well equipped somewhat rustic hideaway

We had a lovely time at Cole's cottage. It is was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a great time here and would stay again. The only thing we were a little disappointed by was the lack of comfortable outdoor seating/outdoor table options. There are two white plastic chairs around the firepit (one of which was broken) and several outdoor chairs on the front deck that did not have any cushions. Luckily, we had some camping chairs with us so it wasn't a huge issue, but something that people should keep in mind if hoping to spend time outside. Also important to mention that the kitchen is FULLY stocked. You really do not have to worry about bringing anything to cook with and having a coffee bar set up was incredible. Overall the interactions with Cole were very pleasant and he replied very quickly to a question we had during our stay.

We had such a fantastic weekend. The cottage was clean, fully loaded with board games, cards, movies and a great sound system. Cole was a great host who was very easy to get into contact with and we look forward to going back!

Awesome place to stay and Cole was very easy to work with. We didn't have great weather while we were there, but we still enjoyed ourselves. The sound of the birds and the frogs at night were awesome. Hanover is very close by. There's a microbrewery that has very good beer and good conversation. If you're looking to unplug and get away from work, internet ect... and reset, you'll find the peace and quiet here very welcoming. The cottage itself is very nice and very clean. It has pretty much everything you'd need for your stay. We really appreciated all the dishes and cookware there. I'm sure that we'll stay there again at some point

Family oriented cottage. Clean, well maintained, nice and caring. It had everything we needed, just bring our food. We were able to travel to the Blue Mountain ski resort. We would recommend it to other.

The ‘Wildflower’ is beautiful, the descriptions were completely accurate. The cabin is situated In a private area.. The cabin has all the amenities needed to allow for a very comfortable stay. The fireplace offered not only heat but a place to read by or just sit and relax. Martin was an exceptional host, responding to all inquiries quickly. We will not hesitate to stay again.

Wildflower is a gorgeous log cabin, beautifully restored and maintained, every room a delight. We felt welcome and at home, with all the amenities we needed. Lovely country setting, peaceful and serene. We hope to go back again and highly recommend it!

We knew we'd be off the grid with this place (wifi), but that didn't affect our stay at all. Data signal was great if needed but the living room/dining/kitchen was a fantastic space to make a great dinner, play some games and light a fire. We nevwr even used the sceond living space with the TV as the rest of the house was so comfortable. The firepit outside was fabulous. Always got the fire to light! The whole place was an incredible find! Will be back if ever in the area.

Jo is an excellent host- the apartment was extremely clean and beautifully decorated- everything looked like new. She has thought of everything- the place is fully stocked with cleaning supplies, pots, pans, cutlery, dishes, even oil, salt, pepper, herbs. Also includes coffee maker and kettle. Lots of space in the closet which also includes drawers. It is a central down town location 3 minute drive from grocery stores. Jo also let me know of fun community events that were happening and she was very friendly!

Heather and Marike are incredible hosts! Communication was always quick and easy. The pictures do not do it justice, a beautiful farmhouse set in grand rolling woodland with plenty of trails to explore. We're already planning our next visit!

Terrific!! Just what the Doctor ordered during a long winter in the rat race to make one love winter again. We had activities in that area and booked this property because of the great price point and charming photos. It was even better!! There’s a lovely, calming, cheerful and nostalgic vibe about everything at this property! You feel at home immediately and know that Heather wants you to love it as much as she does. We did. Those tranquil, country views from the living room and the raven that lives in the barn just kept us gazing and wanting to learn more. Wonderful. We loved being here in the winter and hope to be back! We were 2 couples who made a beautiful feast in the fully equipped kitchen and had plenty of room for our own little areas to enjoy quiet time over the weekend too. I wanted to stay for a full week and take more long walks, a long bath and read one of the books off the shelf. 2 nights wasn’t enough time to enjoy the property, the house, the charming, nearby towns but was worth the short drive from the city because the calming impact was remarkably instantaneous as you pull up to the house. Heather had thoughtful details everywhere from blankets, a fire ready to start, board games, high quality linens and towels, proper shades for a good sleep in and even greeted by a little Buddha. We just loved it and it was so easy. We didn’t need to bring anything but groceries and our toiletries. The driveway was plowed, Heather was amazing with communication, lights and heat were on to welcome us. Everything in that house and property has a cool story but she really made it feel like it was ours to make our own story. My advice...GO! Sincere thanks. Xo

My family spent Family Day Weekend at The Ridge. It was exactly what we needed! The space was inviting and created a cozy calm vibe that we all picked up on. My 6 and twin 3 year olds were outside every day sledding, snow shoeing and playing in the snow. It was a winter wonderland! We would definitely return!

This is a perfect getaway if you are looking for peace and quiet. The property is amazing. The house is a lovely country home.

Heather’s place was lovely and, for me, exactly the kind of setting and “vibe” I was looking for during a two-week, self-directed writing retreat. The place is quiet, off the beaten path, with barely one car an hour passing on the road, which can’t even be seen, given the trees between the road and the house. I know that Heather advertises her place as dog friendly, and I’m sure it is, but I may have had an advantage being without a dog, twice seeing wild turkeys walk right across the lawn. During a cool first week, I had the furnace going *and* a fire in the wood-burning stove (more for atmosphere than out of necessity) and it was nice and cozy inside. And if I wanted to sit outside, the south side of the house, nestled in a little garden and looking over the fields, was nicely sheltered from the prevailing winds. Of course, the house was clean, the upstairs bedrooms with the dormer windows were charming and the kitchen had everything by way of pots and pans and dishes and cutlery that I needed. The entire house has updated and decorated tastefully and with respect for the original farm house. Thank you, Heather.

Kim and Steve are the best people to stay with. Absolutely amazing time with them and their beautiful pet animals. Would love to visit them again.

A lovely warm little cabin! Everything was perfect, the comfy bed and big duvet in the cutest little cabin. Kim and Steve are lovely, as is their farm. Make sure to meet Wilber the pig and give him a belly rub!

We had a comfortable stay in this quiet farm setting. Kim and Steve are great hosts and Provide a wonderful breakfast. The pastries provided in the room were a nice touch and we used them for a late night snack.

Kim was very thoughtful and flexible! She was willing to let us check in early so we could make it to a wedding, and then messaged us to make sure we made it when she noticed our car was still there. The room was cozy and we slept very well. Thanks for a great stay!

We had an excellent experience at Wilcress farm...the cabin was very cute, quiet and clean everything my husband and I needed to start our vacation off right. What a great sleep!!! Kim and Sheldon were pleasant, easy to communicate with and very helpful they helped us plan out our tour to some of the local waterfalls in the area. Very beautiful!!!! Wilcress farm is home to many animals, dogs, horses, donkeys and pigs. Kim was there the whole time filling us in on all the animals. Kim had also told my husband and I about The Grotto. In Tobermory and insisted is was the place to visit. And WOW...was she right, it was beautiful, the turquoise water was incredible!!! We will definitely be back to Wilcress farm. This space has everything you need to enjoy the beauty of Irish Lake. Everything is clean and well-appointed. Great value.

We had a fantastic time at Peter's place. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Things we particularly enjoyed included the kids toys, amount of fridge space, laundry facilities, and seating areas. The lake was very quiet and nearly insect-free (meaning hardly any mosquito bites), which is very unusual - a huge plus for us. We would definitely stay there again!

Lovely stay once again. This is our 4th time and enjoyed the solitude and tranquility the lake offers.

With seven of us shacked up for 4 days I was worried that maybe we wouldn’t have enough space. Boy was I wrong! Clean space with wonderful walk out into the water. A paddle boat, canoe, waterboard all for our use for a day of fun in the sun. A fire pit for s’mores, was such a great experience. I’d 10/10 come back in the future! Thank you Peter!

This place is a Must stay when in the area

Great host, we stayed here for over a month Monday- Friday and Peter had the place cleaned every weekend for us. Nice view of the lake as well
