To be clear, the space in the listing is Kevin's housemate's, and she took the time to show us the space and the amenities before she left for the weekend. Kevin and his boyfriend were fantastic hosts, and recommended some fantastic places to eat and things to do during our weekend in Hartford. The space was comfortable, quiet, and we had more breakfast options, towels, and other essentials than we knew what to do with. Our stay was great!

Terrance was great, replied to my messages quickly, I was greeted at the door and showed to my room, which was very large, clean, with a TV and mini fridge. Awesome off-street parking. I was very comfortable here and would stay again if in the area.

The place is exactly as described, and Terrance is a very accessible and accommodating host. There are several buses a block away that takes you downtown, and another bus about 3 blocks away. If you are on a tight budget, this is the ideal place for you.

A really simple and clean room for the price, with a clean, shared bathroom. An older building in a residential neighborhood that felt safe. Cable tv and small fridge in the room. The host, Terrance, is friendly and easy to communicate with.

Nancy was the perfect hostess. She went way beyond my expectations. I had the best night's sleep in a very warm and quiet bedroom.

Nancy is an excellent host, and it definitely felt like a home away from home! She is very welcoming, and cooks amazing meals for her guests! I had a great time chatting with Nancy over dinner, and she also offered to cook breakfast for me even though she had work early the next morning! I got a great nights sleep, and would highly recommend to everyone!

Nancy's place was cozy & comfortable. The location is very convenient to downtown Glastonbury and Routes 2 & 3. Although we only interacted for a short while, she was very welcoming and had even cooked me dinner. She also pointed out the supplies to make breakfast the next morning. The bedroom was well furnished and the bed was very comfortable. I liked that the hot water was very hot, so I could have a nice shower.

Carmen's place was a perfect getaway for Hartford. I loved how quiet the neighborhood was and how comfortable the bed was. I got in at about 9 pm after almost 9 hours of driving and Carmen was very VERY patient with me and even came out to make sure I knew where to park. I was able get to the wedding I was attending, and back with no problems. I HIGHLY recommend her place. The neighborhood is perfectly safe and friendly so I am not sure what other reviewers meant by neighborhood is rough. Everything in the place is clean and it is very spacious. Location is great and it takes no more than 20 min to get into downtown Hartford by walking.

I had a pleasant stay, and Carmen did everything she could to make it comfortable. She even brought extra blankets for my guest. She was in touch and within reach if needed. The location is a little "hood", but I felt comfortable and secure and my car and belongings in the apartment were safe n secure. I will definitely stay here again when I return for future conventions.......

Caroline's home is beautifully decorated and feels like it came out of a magazine. She is a wonderful host, very accommodating and the location is great. Communication was excellent and parking was easy. I definitely recommend staying here, it's a very warm and inviting atmosphere. Thanks again for being so wonderful!

Caroline's house is located in a nice residential area south of Hartford, close to the busline. You have your own space downstairs with comfortable bed although bathroom is upstairs. I found Caroline an attentive and friendly host, and was able to rest well and accomplish much during my visit.

Caroline was friendly and very accommodating. Everything was ready for our arrival. As we were on a road trip, being right off the highway was very convenient. The room was airy, the bed and pillows were comfortable and we will return if our next road trip takes us in that direction.

The unit met the requirements we had traveling as a group. Jose was very helpful with questions.

Our group of 8+ people booked one night in Jose's apartment and we did enjoy our stay a lot. The apartment was way bigger than it looked in these photos. Jose welcomed us in late afternoon, showed us different rooms, sofa beds and all. He also left extra towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel for us since he knew we were a big group of people. The apartment was on the top floor so you can have all the privacy you want. It was very clean and warm (heater was on the whole time). There was only one bathroom however it was not a problem for us. There were tons of parking spots behind the house and outside the road too so parking was not a problem. We didn't get chance to meet up with Jose before we left so we left a small gift for him in the house. The house was very worth it. Definitely recommend to book his apartment if you are planning a trip to Connecticut.

Just returned from a great weekend in Hartford! Jose was preparing the place when we arrived and everything was as promised. Clean, comfortable, and convenient. The neighborhood was what you would expect for a city like Hartford but we never felt unsafe and Jose's other tenants were very quite and respectful. I was a little concerned about the attic space being too hot but each room had a fan and the biggest bedroom had an AC. However I never felt the need to turn it on and was comfortable at night. Thanks again for a great stay.

Jose's "Cherry on the Top" worked perfectly for our family's short trip to Hartford. It was exactly as described except probably cleaner and bigger. When we alerted Jose that we thought we had left a backpack outside on the porch, he immediately checked to see if he could find it. (End of story: we had it after all but it was buried in a car trunk.) The other reviews were spot on. We highly recommend the Cherry and would stay there again.

I had a great two weeks at Jeffrey's place. The room and bed were large, clean and exactly as described. He was extremely helpful and approachable during my time there. The common areas including the bathroom/living room/kitchen were extremely clean and tidy. I had no issues and would not hesitate to stay there again should I find myself at Hartford again. Highly recommended!

Jeff and Uriel are great! They know how to treat a guest and make them feel comfortable. The bed was immaculate clean, with fresh bathing towels, new soap and extra amenities. The house overall is fantastic and quiet. They are both friendly, respectful and with an excellent sense of humor. I would not hesitate in staying there again, this is an excellent dwelling.

I had a great experience staying with them for the month - the house was clean, easily accessible and a stones throw away from Hartford Hospital. The hosts were considerate at all times and were pleasant and easy to work with. Although I wasn't crazy with the city of Hartford itself, if I had to stay in the city again for some reason I would have no issue staying here again.

A walkable distance to downtown.

Eric's place was in a great location for anyone visiting downtown Hartford - very walkable, and there was plenty of free street parking available to leave the car parked and travel on foot. Eric was friendly and flexible, and the apartment is in a cool historic building and had lots of nice natural light. Would definitely stay again.

My stay at Melanie's home in Glastonbury was delightful. She was very easy to contact and arrange my arrival time. She gave me a tour of the lodgings. There was filtered water, a snack, a refrigerator. I felt very much at home in the lovely space, so tastefully decorated.

My boyfriend and I stayed a weekend, and needless to say the stay was wonderful! Melanie was very responsive when u got in contact about when I was arriving. She welcomed us and let us know to contact her if we needed anything. The room was better than described, very spacious and the bedroom was bright. The bed was incredibly comfortable and though we did not bring swim suits, Melanie was kind enough to open her pool to us! Great location, very close to the Main Street. Overall very pleased with our weekend at Melanie's!

This was a wonderful experience! The neighborhood and the house were lovely; lots of land with beautiful flowers and plants. The 2-room suite was comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. I had an opportunity to sleep on a memory foam mattress for the first time! Melanie was as pleasant and accommodating as could be! I would stay there anytime I need to be in that area.

I stayed here while at a show in the Convention Center in Hartford. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly but with easy access to the highway and only a minute from downtown Glastonbury services like grocery, restaurants and pharmacy. I enjoyed a morning walk around the neighborhood with all it's lovely spring blossoms. The apartment is steps from parking, spacious and fully furnished in a mix of antiques and modern. The beds were very comfortable and the silence at night was blissful. The host is very helpful and accommodating and I would definitely stay here again.

The B&B was lovely. Patricia and her husband were welcoming and provided advice on where to get dinner (lots of restaurants within a 5 minute walk). The room was extremely comfortable and very nicely outfitted (fireplace, fantastic shower, amazing bed). Overall a lovely stay. I would definitely recommend this place.
