A 2-mile hike, pretty much uphill. A less traveled, but beautiful place for an epic view. No shade. Rattlesnake country.

Busy in the summer, but several less-used trails if you want to avoid the crowd. It has a paved loop trail for strollers. It can technically accommodate wheelchairs, but has some steep inclines. A favorite place to visit in the off-season.

A gorgeous little visitor center that talks about the mining history as well as the high-tech physics experiments that are now being conducted almost a mile underground. Great for kids and nerdy adults like me!
