What to pack
Going out into Nature
The nature around here is truly stunning and very much worth exploring! The following tips will help keep you safe and protected while you’re out hiking:
- Wear your socks above your pants to prevent ticks
- Use bug spray (located in 1/2 bath cabinet) to prevent mosquitos and gnats
- Don't forget to bring water bottle
- Nov 19-Dec 11 is hunting season so wear bright colors when walking on non-trails in woods
- At the end of the day (or after a hike) wipe down your clothes and then check yourself for ticks. (You can’t get lyme disease from ticks crawling on you, they need to be embedded.)
