City advice

What to pack

Come prepared!

You are traveling to a farm, so a sensible pair of shoes is a great idea, also a torch. Bring towels as they are not supplied in the hut. The Huts are off grid so therefore if you have a car an in car phone charger is a good idea. There are charging lockers and wifi at The Hub our on site cafe. I you have a kayak or Paddle board you can launch that from the site so a good thing to bring. National trust membership card as there are loads of great properties nearby. There are not fridges in the thus , but we do supply you with a cool box and Ice packs.
Getting around

Getting to us by rail

Our nearest stations are Robertsbridge or Battle. If you are walking or cycling to us then I would recommend getting off at Robertsbridge as it its easier and closer. If you need a cab, then go to Battle. There is not a rank in Robertsbridge so it can be both time consuming and expensive to get a cab from there. I you are organised you can pre order a cab from Robertsbridge from AK Rother
Book before you go

Epic Life

Water sports and Archery centre on the farm can get booked up
Travelling with kids

Download a movie before you get here

The Huts are off grid so there is no wifi and the phone signal can be hit and miss particularly on Vodaphone. If you want to watch a movie or TV programme before bed it is worth having this downloaded before you get to us or you can do it at the Hub. Let us know I you need bed guards or travel cots as we can supply these
Book before you go

Taxis

Taxis in rural communities are like hens teeth! If you think you might need one it is worth booking before arrival. There are a few local firms, AK Rother, Yogi's Private hire, Battle cabs, or 247 on Hastings are the ones we work with
