When you long for a complete break from everyday life, you can do it here, and everyday things take on a new meaning. A cabin without electricity gives you the opportunity to be present in the here and now. A separate summer kitchen on a cliff with breathtaking views. Gas stove and grill available. Carried water. There is a single bed in the shed. The sauna room has a bunk bed and a pull-out sofa bed. You also have a rowboat and a paddleboard at your disposal. The hot tub can be heated for a separate fee. There is a campfire area on the beach. This property has a lot of stairs and is not suitable for families with children.

Cottage by the lake

If you're looking for a little break from the hustle and bustle of the city to the peace of nature, this is just for you. Rent an inexpensive, modest, electrified, basic summer cottage (approx. 65 square meters) from Kangaslampi, Varkaus (the cottage is located on the south shore). Everything in the cottage is not exactly on top and in the best condition, but a basic clean cottage with everything you need. The cottage has a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, stove, gas grill. Basic dishes, television, radio, smoke detectors.

Cozy, traditional summer cottage

Enjoy your stay in the bosom of nature on the shores of the lake. Heat the sauna, relax in the sauna while watching the lake scenery and occasionally jump in to swim in the clean lake water. Repovesi National Park is located a couple of kilometers away. So combining cottage living with hiking is a great success. In addition to the cottage, there is a barbecue hut where you can also stay overnight. A dock and a rowboat can also be found on the beach. The place is unique: a quiet private peninsula and traditional Finnish handicrafts in the cottage.

Want cottages in the countryside and yet close to services? Come as a guest to our traditional round log cabin by the lake! The cottage has modern amenities and a toilet. There is a wood-burning sauna on the beach, where the water is carried from the lake or cottage. Note: You must know how to heat a wood-fired sauna and wash in the sauna. The cottage does not have a shower. Only 20-25 min to Kouvola, Tykkimäki and Mielaka hillside center and less than 2 hours drive from the metropolitan area. Not for party groups.

Traditions and linen

Eco-friendly cottage living on a large property (4 hectares) with no nearby neighbours. The building is clean, fresh and well decorated with materials. You'll get a made bed with linen sheets, a cold refrigerator, and your own south-facing sandy beach. A few kilometers away is Puumala Golf, Sulkava Castle Mountain, and more to see. You can row, sauna, and grill. The building has solar power where you can charge your phone and get light in the evening. Berries and mushrooms can be collected from your own forest.

Welcome to enjoy and relax in our cottage in a peaceful setting on the shore of Lake Saimaa. Our Anttola cottage is just a 25-minute drive from Mikkeli's services. The closest grocery store is just a 5-minute drive away in the center of Anttola. If you're looking for a place to stay in the tranquility of nature by the lake, or your interests are camping/hiking, I recommend our cozy cabin for your stay. There is a good road all the way here. Weekly rentals from June to August 2027, Mon–Sun. ☀️

Putkola Cottage Finland

Find your peace in a classic Finnish cottage with a sauna in the immediate vicinity of Lake Kivenkänä in South Karelia. The cottage is electrified, service water must be carried from the lake, guests must bring their own drinking water. Dry toilet. Not far from the cottage is the Kyläkuppila Käpälämäki bar, where in addition to the classic offer of drinks and meals, you can also buy basic groceries, various consumer goods, and fishing permits. Various cultural evenings are often held here.

Between fishes – our house on the lake in Finland

Our piece of land is located on Kaita Järvi– an about 8 km long and a few hundred meter wide lake – it is a small peninsula that looks to the south. That means: sun from morning to evening (if it shines). There right on the shore you find our log cabin, with sauna, bathroom, living room with open kitchen and two small bedrooms. A few meters next to it is a studio like guesthouse, the "Aita". It is also very cosy and comfortable, but provides no own bathroom. Village Savonranta is 5 km away.

Villa Ruoholampi Charming 65 m² cottage located in Ruoholampi, Lappeenranta, close to the LUT campus. The cottage features a small private yard and beach. For an authentic Finnish sauna experience, enjoy the traditional lakeside wood-fired sauna with its gentle heat. The beach is shallow and child-friendly. The cabin accommodates up to 4 people. (In 2026, the lake water level is exceptionally low, as is the case elsewhere in Eastern Finland. So swimming may be difficult in shallow areas.)

Summer cottage by a lake at Mäntyharju

Nice rebuilt log cottage by lake Siikanen. Cottage is electrified and equiped with cold drinking water and warm shower water system. Peaceful beach opening to direction south. Available a small boat and two SUP-boards. At the yard there is a gas grill and an equipment cottage for firewood and eco wc. Our own summer house is near by (at 150 meter distance) thus help and additional services are often easily found. English and German are spoken by the hosts Timo and Tuula.

In a modern cottage on the shores of Lake Saimaa, you can spend your holiday in a great setting. The large windows of the cottage overlook Lake Saimaa. The wood-heated sauna has soft steam and a large landscape window. The sauna has a large terrace area for lounging and cooking (barbecue and smoker). Good opportunities for fishing, berry picking, cycling, golf, skiing, etc. The year-round outdoor hot tub, rowboat, 2 SUP boards and 2 kayaks are freely available to tenants.
