Villa vacation rentals in Saimaa

As described, the house sits alone on a peninsula in the lake. The last 3 km lead via a forest path (easily accessible by car). The property offers ample space for activities of all kinds. Game and sports equipment is available but partly already heavily used. The house and other buildings are very nice and well appointed. Description and illustrated instructions for all devices are present. Everything works and there were no problems at all. Wi-Fi Internet is available and sufficient but not particularly fast. If several people want to stream, it's not enough. Outside Wi-Fi is available according to the description but did not work during our visit. A private jetty leads to the beautiful, clear lake. The boat is large enough for 4 people Only the provided (paid) motor is somewhat undersized. Rowing is sometimes faster😁. Overall a wonderful stay in the Finnish forest.

Large villa in a beautiful location by the lake. On the property, the lakeside sauna, the grill canopy, the yard swing, the rowing boat, a lot. The villa is new and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is functional and spacious. In the bedroom, blackout roller blinds and comfy beds. It was easy to find.

Stayed there for Easter and was a great choice! Very spacious, great scenery and very good view from the sauna by the lake.

Very nice place in a fantastic location, absolutely quiet right on the lake! Easy and very friendly check-in (despite late arrival at 9 PM) with personal reception by the host's father. There was everything necessary for a cozy and relaxing vacation by the lake (rowboat and SUP, outdoor kitchen, terrace, sauna, hot pot, etc.). The Wi-Fi also works perfectly. We spent 12 wonderful vacation days and can fully recommend the accommodation and the host.

My wife and I had a fantastic, restful stay at Sammpa’s AirBnB. The surroundings are lovely, from the trees down to the lake, and the house itself is beautifully designed. I feel very fortunate to have spent such a peaceful week here in Finland! I would agree with other reviewers that the photos don’t do the property justice. Sammpa and his wife were both very helpful and responsive

I went here with 10 friends for midsommar! it was really peaceful and beautiful.

This is a fabulous lakeside cottage. It has everything you could wish for: A peaceful, secluded location deep in the forest right on the lake.. We enjoyed fishing off the jetty, rowing the boat, kayaking and swimming in the beautiful clear water. The covered BBQ was great as you can also eat outside. The sauna cabin was perfect for midnight sauna and swims.

We stayed with three friendly families for a week over the turn of the year at Villa Viita. A beautiful spot on a large lake surrounded by birch and coniferous forests. A luxurious sauna house with lake view, a heated hot tub and the large window front were our highlights. We felt very comfortable. There was enough dry firewood available for the sauna and the house fireplace. For ice bathing, there was a large ice hole right on the jetty. The children had fun on the small sledding hill and going sledding together. There are not many restaurants, but the surrounding supermarkets are very well stocked, so we cooked a lot together. The only thing you need to know: for the last 4 km through the forest, studs are indispensable at this time of year and a confident driving style is an advantage... We can warmly recommend Villa Viita to all nature lovers looking for peace and quiet.

We had an amazing stay at this house! The sauna was a highlight—we used it every day and found it incredibly relaxing. While the ceiling in the sauna was a bit low, we quickly got used to it. The backyard was fantastic, with a whirlpool and a serene view of the lake, providing the perfect spot to unwind. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the beds were super comfortable. Overall, it was a wonderful, chill experience, and we would absolutely stay here again!

That was one the best Airbnb experience among my around 30 bookings. The house was great, very comfortable and located in really quiet and peaceful place. It was an awesome jump into the new year! We had 5 beautiful days in an wonderful cottage, surrounded by 100% Nature and 0% stress.

Look no further! If you are looking for a true Finnish cabin experience, Arttu and Paula's place is it. The location is stunning. The cabin is on a quiet lake with beautiful sunsets. The cabin itself is beautifully decorated, and it feels like home. The cabin has three bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower. All the latest amenities are available and nothing is missing. Huge bonus for us -- super sharp kitchen knives which made cooking a breeze. We picked blueberries (Yum!), took the rowboat out on the lake, swam for hours and enjoyed the sauna. The views and quietness were amazing! This place proves why people in Finland are the happiest! You need to go and experience it as well. Arttu and Paula were wonderful hosts. We had thoughtful treats waiting for us with clear instructions. Communication with them was smooth, easy and friendly. We hope we will get to visit Arttu and Paula's place again. We did not want to leave. Beautiful! Stunning! The best week yet this summer!

The cottage is in a gorgeous location. You'll get what you see in the photos. It is also ideal for travelers with a dog as there is plenty of space and little to no traffic. During our stay, there were regularly three cranes in the "backyard". In short, it is highly recommended for people who love peace, space and nature.

Wonderful stay! The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the silence, starry skies, and beautiful views. Great location and the host was super friendly and responsive. Would definitely stay again!
