Vacation rentals with beach access in Saint James

We loved our stay at Andrew’s place! We were coming from a bad Airbnb experience halfway through our trip, and Andrew’s place was beautiful, had every amenity and more, felt safe, and was easy to settle in to. Close to all kinds of west coast spots, but you can see the sea through the trees on the gorgeous patio. Sitting on the couch with the patio doors open was a hilight. AC, fridge, washer/dryer, and all were working well. We fully recommend!

Fantastic modern apartment close to everything you need for a wonderful stay in Holetown. The apartment is a stones throw from the beach and within easy walking distance to many local bars and restaurants. The bus stop is nearby which makes travelling up and down the island a breeze. Check in/out was easy and the host was on hand for every question we had including arranging a taxi back to the airport. Delighted that we found Lynda’s apartment and already looking at rebooking for a return trip.

Our experience at Lantana was excellent. The immediate surroundings were immaculate and well maintained and the on-site personnel were efficient and friendly. The apartment was tidy and clean when we arrived, and it was cleaned and new bedding and towels were furnished weekly over the duration of our four week stay. Our host Jacqueline was extremely helpful, providing us with information about local sites, events and dinning. Overall we had a magnificent experience and are very happy to recommend this apartment and host to everyone.

Our favourite out of 5 accomodations around the island. Immaculate and high standard furnishings. Pool superb. Helpful neighbours who live there for 6 months of the year.

Denise was a delightful and discreet host. Friendly and courteous. We were given a thorough explanation of how everything works, from TV, WIFI to Air Con etc. Everything worked well. The overall impression of the residence was one of great space, light and colour. The interior is white including the tiled floor and the high ceiling (which shows the timber structure superbly). If you like a feeling of space this is made for you. Denise has a great sense of colour with certain walls brightly painted. There is also a bank of cupboards with plenty of hanging space and drawers. There is a kitchen and table with chairs on the lower level, again not in the least bit claustrophobic. Be aware that it is not close to shops etc. These however can be accessed easily by car or by foot if you feel inclined! The view of the coast is breathtaking so you can sit back with a cool rum cocktail and take it easy.

Our stay over Christmas and New Year 2025 has been both relaxing and comfortable in Brian’s apartment at 212 Glitter Bay Susan our housekeeper has been as charming and the resort is a wonderful community with a friendly feel to the bar, beach and communal areas Ideal for a small Family or a couple coming down to Barbados with friends Apartment 212 is a great base and Brian has been a wonderful host. We loved sitting on the wonderful balcony, having coffee and watching the monkeys play in the morning. We will be back soon.

Erin was waiting at the apartment for us when we arrived. Everything was as described in the listing and exceptional value for money. It was quiet, peaceful and safe. Every time we needed help or had a question Erin or Robin answered straight away. They were great hosts. If you are looking for a well equipped, good value condo in Holetown you can’t beat this. Close to beach, inclusive pool, local shops, supermarket, restaurants and bars then this is it. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this property and would return. A beautiful apartment in a great, private & secure setting, with the amenities of Royal Westmorelands. The apartment is just as described and Brigitte is a wonderful host. Very happy with our stay there and would definitely recommend to others. Thank you very much for a lovely holiday!

Had a fabulous stay. Everything was so comfortable and clean. We appreciated the provisions in the kitchen. Your back garden was a paradise, which we enjoyed every day. Stephanie was an excellent manager and responded to a complaint very quickly and the issue was solved. She was friendly and immediately available. Ann, the cleaner, was very friendly and personable and left us spotless. Holetown was a perfect place to stay as so much could be accessed in a 5-10 minute walk. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay.

Very good position across from a beautiful beach. Sun loungers provided to take with us and beach towels. Donna is lovely and communication was easy. The garage nearby was reasonably priced for essentials. I would recommend CCs on a Monday night, lovely food and good entertainment, we danced on the beach! A trip to Speightstown is also a must do ..try Kaboose for a fish cutter lunch.

The place was beautiful and walkable to the grocery store and beaches. Every amenity was in the house and we were more than satisfied. One of our party did note that being right on the main road the traffic noise was an issue and limited our enjoyment of using the balconies and the patio area. We spent most of our time seeing Barbados so did not notice it as much.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Vicky’s villa was absolutely perfect for my 30th birthday trip! She went above and beyond; connecting me with a baker and chef, allowing an early check-in so I could set up decorations, and providing great local recommendations. The villa itself was stunning, and the entire experience was seamless. This was by far the best stay I’ve ever had, and I’ll definitely be returning when I visit Barbados again!

Vida Mejor was a great villa for our family on our first trip to Barbados. Carlton met us at check-in and was very helpful getting us situated. We had plenty of space inside, but we spent most of our time there on the back patio and pool which were very pleasant. Even had some animal visitors (monkeys) from time to time which was very fun. Location is great, very quiet, but easy walk to Holetown Beach, restaurants, and grocery store. Holetown is also pretty convenient for driving to the activities we visiting, like the wildlife reserve, animal flower cave, Harrison caves, etc. Overall very satisfied with the accommodations and would definitely recommend!

Kimberley's house is exactly as it appears in the photographs and description, it is well appointed and is spotlessly clean. You will have all the kitchen equipment and appliances that you will need for self catering. Kimberley provided clear instructions of directions from the airport and also put is in touch with a local taxi service, which was excellent. The House Manual is very comprehensive, but should you have any questions Kimberley is very responsive and helpful. For those wishing to take exercise, there is a lovely walk to the beach via Lancaster Great House and Royal Westmoreland Golf Club. We felt very comfortable and safe living with local people/surroundings. We have been travelling to Barbados for over 30 years now, and would have no hesitation in recommending the property for a relaxing vacation.

Sunnyside villa is beautiful, spacious, immaculate and comfortable! The location is ideal as it is a quick walk to several beaches where you can snorkel off the beach, dine in restaurants on the beach or stroll to the grocery store to pick up food to make is the well stocked kitchen. We especially loved the private pool and outdoor covered patio as well. Mid week cleaning for the home and pool were also most appreciated. I carefully selected this property for our family group to vacation together and we all were most impressed with the property and its location. Our hosts and support staff were a pleasure to interact with. We will definitely book here again when we can schedule it. This is a special, well cared for place!!

The condo was beautiful, clean, and in a great location close to the beach. The private pool was a nice bonus, making it easy to relax between exploring. The host was responsive and made sure everything went smoothly—would definitely stay again.

Hugh's place was great! Walkable. Local shops, restaurants and beaches within 5 min walk or less. Spotless home, working A/C, everything you could possibly need in a kitchen, comfortable beds. It's got a very caribbean homey feel to it. Which is what I liked since it reminded me of my childhood. It may not be for everyone who might prefer the modern architecture, design and upgrades of a first world country, but you will miss the charm and character in an island home when you travel to escape the everyday sameness of where you came from.

We stayed at Steven’s apartment for 10 days and had an amazing holiday (2 couples). The apartment was wonderful and just as described and there were lots of additional touches that were really thoughtful such as the Cool box and ice blocks and a couple of snorkels. The Sugar Hill complex was beautiful and peaceful. The pools were a lovely temperature (lit at night and open until 9pm) and grounds very well kept. We had a couple of lovely lunches at The Deck (Shrimp Pad Thai excellent!) and the rum punch during happy hour very good. We utilised the Fairmont beach club membership particularly to go and watch the sunsets but also travelled around the Island - which always felt friendly and safe. Kavell was super responsive when we had any questions. I had to do some work whilst out here so had to use the table on the balcony (only minor point was that there wasn’t an electric socket close by). It is an approx 20 min walk down the hill (via Store house Road) to the beach club.

What a perfect little place, just off the most amazing beach. All you will need. As others have said, it is a little tired in places, but just ads to the charm. Bed was comfortable, AC worked well and the shower was good. Location was perfect for beach, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. How much more do you want? Also the live entertainment from next door can be a little noisy in the evening, but want an issue for us. If you like quiet at night take ear plugs for an early night, It finishes at 10 anyway. We will be booking it again next year. We have never returned to a place before, so can’t say more than that.

Our stay at Villa 403 was absolutely wonderful. From the communication before we arrived with Sandy, the warm welcome and early check-in with Dawn we were made to feel very welcome. VotB is ideally located, beaches are stunning and quiet during our stay. The pool and gardens are beautiful and well maintained. We loved the local restaurants; check out Zacchio's next door, and the 'Life is Sweet' Dessert bar across the road. Activities available to book from Holetown beach if you want them; we enjoyed a boat trip with snorkelling stops where we swam with turtles & stingray. The vendors are not pushy and we felt very safe and welcomed by them. Of course, the highlight of our sty was Coral! the listing does not make it clear that Villa 403 has the most marvellous housekeeper, Coral, who will make your stay magical! nothing was too much trouble for her- she washed our laundry (which smelled amazing!),shopped & cooked amazing Bajan food. We loved our stay and would rebook without question

Very enjoyable stay at this lovely apartment. The accommodation was clean and well presented and the washing machine was a bonus. It had a well stocked linen cupboard with clean bedding,bathroom towels and beach towels. The only problem we had was accessing the property as the padlock was quite tricky until you get used it. The lack of lighting if you arrive after dark is also a problem as there is hardly any lighting around the property until you can access the property and switch the lights on. Michelle was extremely responsive in this instance and we managed to access the property. Great location for the beach, restaurants and supermarkets. Would stay again.

Tim’s place was excellent! Hard to beat direct access to the beach. The property manager Tricia was very responsive and available to help us with any reservations when needed. The apartment was clean and was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay!

It was a great stay. The place looks much better than in the pictures, it is perfectly equipped and Terese sent very precise instructions on how to use the apartment. The contact was fast and very nice. The property is very spacious and clean, has an amazing view. I highly recommend using this property.
