Guesthouse vacation rentals in Salento

The place is very cozy, you can hear the river from the cabin, and the scenery is very nice. The cabin comes with everything you need for an excellent stay, cookware, hot water, and a small fireplace on the balcony. It is located near the Santa Rita Natural Reserve, which we were able to walk to easily and do bird watching. The hosts were very nice and had very good communication, provided excellent recommendations, offered to take us to the village when they had a chance and even favored us to keep our bags after check-out. We had a pleasant stay and the place is ideal to disconnect.

The place is spectacular, very cozy and with beautiful views. Sandra and Manuel are great hosts, friendly and very helpful at all times. We felt right at home and will definitely be back with them. Super recommended place 10/10

My partner and I had an absolutely amazing time in Beatriz’ cabin. It is such a lovely getaway with amazing facilities and views. I would recommend it to everyone! It’s not in Salento but taxis and jeeps are so easy to call and it’s only a quick ride into town. Beatriz is the best air b&b host we have ever had - she goes above and beyond to help you with anything you could need and gives great suggestions for your time there

Our one-month stay at Boquia House was fantastic. The property is located 15 minutes by bus (2200 COP on an Alcala or CooTracir bus) or a nice 35-minute hike up the Camino nacional, from Salento, in a peaceful, lush setting overlooking the little village of Boquia, 10 minutes down the road via a shortcut across the road in front of the place. From the property, it is also easy to wave down a bus to Armenia or Pereira (5,200 COP), from where you can visit other smaller villages like Filandia, Cordoba, Pijao, etc. The property itself is pretty, surrounded by greenery, super clean, very quiet, and very comfortable especially for a long stay. Amparo was lovely and made us feel at home and while they live on the property, we had complete privacy. The outdoor and indoor kitchens have all the quality tools you need to prepare all your meals, and the apartment we had was very nice, large, with a lot of storage for our belongings, comfortable beds and good quality pillows and sheets.

The room is comfortable, has a private bathroom and is on the road to the cocora valley, very good location if a vehicle is available.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The accommodation looked exactly like the photos—clean, cozy, and with a stunning, peaceful view. It’s tucked away in a serene, private location just a 10–15 minute walk from the nearest village and a short 10-minute drive from Salento. You can also catch a super cheap and convenient colectivo from the main road nearby to get to Salento easily. The true highlight of our stay was Paula, the host. She is by far the best Airbnb host we’ve ever had—warm, incredibly helpful, and very responsive. She even allowed us to check in early in the morning, well before our scheduled time, which we really appreciated. Paula made us feel so welcome, and her hospitality truly elevated the entire experience. Highly recommended!
