Kid-friendly vacation rentals in San Juan County

Very nice place tucked in the red rocks. Very quiet and peaceful and a beautiful view of the night sky. Very dark and full of stars, the place is aptly named. The lodging is spacious and comfortable with everything you need to settle in an enjoy the quiet and beauty of nature. About ten minutes from town and easy to get there, though a bit bumpy as the road from the house to town is not paved. Only another 10 minutes from town to Capitol Reef national park and the whole surrounding area is beautiful.

The Bears Den was clean and cozy. We really appreciated having individual AC/Heat units in each room because my mother-in-law likes her room very warm but we sleep cool. One of the main reasons we chose Bears Den was because of its location and it is handicap accessible, including the shower in the master bedroom. The house was a great hub for us while exploring Monument Valley, Petrified Forest, and Valley of the Gods.

Great place to relax! Hosts were awesome, and the basement is great for watching a game and having fun.

Jim's place was perfect. It was clean and felt like coming home. He was a responsive, kind and very thoughtful host who communicated effectively. The house's layout was open, spacious and had all that we would need to be beyond comfortable. The yard was spectacular and created a serene and expansive experience, making you feel alone and able to take in nature. Having the jacuzzi to unwind in or wake up with a coffee at sunrise was magical. We visit Moab every month or so and will make this the priority space we stay in if Jim's availability allows. The only issue we had was not wanting to leave!!

Susan’s place was perfect for our weekend trip! An ideal location by national parks, and her space is stocked with everything you could possibly need. Super responsive and helpful with everything. Thank you for an amazing stay!

The Hidden Gem was perfect for our quick stay in Monticello! It was immaculate, cozy, and in a great location. Check-in and check-out were super easy and seamless. After traveling all day, it was nice to have a comfortable place to stay and the reassurance that Becky would be quick to respond if we had any issues (which we didn’t). Great place!!

Would have been perfect if more windows in the house. Outside of that rest all is good. Its very clean and Tyler is very responsive. and the location is great.

The apartment was everything we could want. The night skies gave my husband a chance to take beautiful photographs of the stars. Comfortable bed and a good kitchen to cook in. Loved the view out the windows. Our host was flexible and let us check in early. She was quick to respond to our questions.

Every now and then you wish you could leave 6 stars and this is one of those times. Location, communication, stock, cleanliness - they have it all. Highly recommend anyone to pop in if you’re in the area.

This was a lovely stay...very quiet with lots of space. Kristen gave us lots of helpful ideas of what to see in the area. This was just what we were looking for.

Basecamp is one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed at on or off Airbnb. Tom, along with Theresa and Thomas, are gracious hosts. They make sure each guest feels welcomed throughout the stay and are happy to offer suggestions of hikes, drives or just general exploration. I got the feeling that the road's condition varies throughout the year. As of a few weeks ago it was slow going if you are not an experienced off-road driver. (I am not.) It took me 90 minutes heading in (once during the day and once after dark) and 60 minutes leaving (both daylight). But my stock RAV4 with all season tires made it with no real issues. I kept it in 2nd gear and the AWD never kicked on. That said, I would happily return to stay at Tom's place again. It is 100% worth a frayed nerve or two for me. Next time I'll just drive in once and stay there the whole time. I could wander around the property and the adjoining BLM land for days and never get bored of looking at the views.

Perfect stay at the “Cottages” in Bluff. Kelly and Andi were wonderful hosts that provided for every accommodation we could think of. We highly recommend them to all guests looking for a quality rest while traveling southern Utah.

Our stay at Jed’s was grand. We felt at home. It was comfortable and cozy. Jed and Candace were friendly and helpful with recommendations. Definitely would stay with Jed and Candace at the Kokopelli Place if traveling to Utah again.

Really wonderful condo for 4 of us for a couple nights. It is out of town, so plan on the extra 15min from Moab and bring supplies from elsewhere as there’s nothing within those 15min. But the balcony view from the hot tub was grand and it has everything you need. The second bedroom doesn’t have a window, so it’s like sleeping in a cave. Fine for us, but good to note for those who need morning light to get up. Master bedroom is beautiful!

The place was modern and we loved the hot tub and beautiful views from the patio. Hosts were super responsive and friendly. We will definitely stay again when in the area.

The place is in great shape and well stocked. The kitchen has pretty much everything you will need for cooking, and there are plenty of spare towels and pillows. The hot tub was great to have as was the grill. There is plenty of parking. The location is a bit industrial, but the views are good, and we could get to downtown Moab in about 10 minutes.

Exactly Ike the pictures. Just south of Moab center but close enough to town and everywhere we needed to be. It had everything we needed to make our stay great. Very easy to find this rental as Tyler’s instructions were perfect. The only negative is the noise from other renters in the building. Otherwise it was the perfect place to stay.

Very responsive to all my questions. Beautiful view out the front. Quiet and clean. Nice hot tub and big gas grill. Loved our stay here.
