Cottage vacation rentals in Savonlinna

We - parents and three big children - searched for three days and found them in the house, collected berries, reach swimming in 5 minutes, fishing, rowing, jogging, using the sauna daily and enjoying absolutely quiet nights. In front of the house there is a large terrace with a great barbecue, which also has a hot plate - so we cooked and ate almost exclusively outside - only in the evening we are in the house and were able to use the cozy atmosphere. Summer kitchen offers everything you need. Drinking water was sufficiently provided to us, two good organic toilet outside. Everything is fine - we highly recommend Tuula and her house.

We had a magical stay. Everything is beautiful, the setting, the accommodation, the beach, the sound... even better than the photos suggest. Uta is a very considerate host, and kind and ready to give good advice on things to do in the area. I would highly recommend it. If we have the opportunity we will happily come back.

The surrounding environment was very nice and calm. Water clean, transparent. Local water is specific and challenging for fishing. The beach in front of the cottage with shallow water even with a stone pier, offered a nice view of the surrounding water. The host also made available to us two boats. There is a wood heated sauna in front of the beach. It was a bit older but functional. Another smaller sauna is located inside the cabin along with a shower. We lacked a better light in the cabin. In the evenings, it was too big for our taste. Otherwise, we are happy with the amenities of the cottage and enjoyed the trip.

The cottage is very spacious and has all the necessary amenities, and even more! Beautiful environment! Boat, canoe, buoys, darts, board games: everything to keep you busy on site! Peaceful place that we recommend 100%!!!

We spent a lovely cottage weekend enjoying the outdoors, swimming, and sauna. The stay was a short drive from services like a grocery store. There was a storm over the weekend and we were at the cottage for almost a day without electricity, but Markus handled it in the best way and without asking.

Otto's hut is simply spectacular! We spent a wonderful week here! The peace and quiet, the lake, the hot tub, the sauna, the rowing boat, the spacious terrace, the barbecue, the fishing rod and the cosy cabin all helped us to relax wonderfully. Otto is super quick to communicate and very uncomplicated. It was very easy to get drinking water at the main house, for the rest you use the clean lake water. We will be back soon!

Perfect for a little break from everyday life. Beautiful and atmospheric cottage in a great location, right by the lake. The cottage was well kept, cozy and clean. The host was very friendly and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. I'd love to come back again.

Excellent environment, very nice, pretty, well-equipped houses (with a pluriel). It would be a good idea to specify that the toilet is 100m (outside) from the main house. If you are a couple sleeping in the same bed you can stay in the cabin near the beach and be near the sauna/shower and toilet (+bed, TV, kitchen, etc.). On the other hand, with friends, you'll stay in the main house which is 100m from the cabin's toilet (the only toilet). This is still a detail that you have to get used to:D Apart from this detail, everything was perfect, the aperitif on the terrace of the cabin during a thunderstorm overlooking the dock and the lake was magical! The bedding is very good quality too and the kitchen is very well equipped. Kaisa, the host, is very responsive, available, kind and helpful. If you are looking for a very peaceful private place with private lake access, all very well equipped, do not hesitate:)

We had a good time in the Mökki, even got along with a baby in the tiny cottage;) The house is not directly on the lake, so for bathing and sauna you have to walk a bit. The lake and especially the jetty are great. The sauna too, but you have to coordinate because of use because it is shared with the landlords. I can recommend everything except the sagging foam mattresses in bed for a relaxing time in the forest! Arja speaks perfect German and we were allowed to wash two washes for free in the main house.

I very much enjoyed my stay in the cottage. It was very peaceful, tucked away in the forest and I loved swimming in the private lake. It was fun to go off grid for a few nights. The cottage was very cozy and we had enough gas, drinking water and energy for our stay. Otto was a helpful host. I would recommend staying here!
