The cabin has beds for four, and a futon in the living room for afternoon naps. The fishing village of Stonington is about 3 miles away where you can enjoy lobster just fresh from the sea. Peaceful.

Gathering Moss Cottage is located 2 blocks from the Isle Au Haut ferry dock and the Colwell ramp and a fabulous local restaurant Fin and Fern. Stop by 44 North Coffee just around the corner and catch the local gossip. The cottage is so close to amenities but is tucked away in the woods at the top of the hill. Deer and fox wander into the yard and eagles and osprey fly overhead. There are many artists' studios to visit or take a trip to Acadia National Park just a little over an hour away.

Just walk within minutes to downtown Stonington where all the restaurants are located, or just across the road to the Stonington Lobster Co-Op where you can buy your lobsters straight off the lobster boat. Historic schoolhouse of Brooklin converted into the perfect one bedroom getaway. Located across the street from the Brooklin Rockbound Capel with a quick 20-minute drive to Blue Hill. Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor or Bangor are all with in an hour away. The original post and beam construction, with a sleeping loft, give the interior a rustic vibe offset by the playful color palette and butterfly wallpaper make it more botanical and lighthearted.
