Peaceful Cabin in the Heart of North Country

Our beautiful cabin sits in Clarksville on 6 private acres, close to major ATV and snowmobile trails, as well as the Hurlburt Nature Conservancy Area. We are minutes from Lake Francis and the Connecticut Lakes in NH's northernmost town, Pittsburg. While by no means primitive, our cabin is simple and rustic, and...in the woods. You may be visited by rabbits and coyote, or even a moose or deer grazing early in the morning. You may have the occasional cobweb, fly, swollen door, or sticky evening.

Red Door Chalet

This vibrant chalet is the quintessential country retreat, with 55 private, wooded acres. Located 6 miles (15 minutes) from Jay Peak Resort, this 3 bedroom, 2 bath home sleeps 8 comfortably. 2 king beds, 1 queen bed, 4 single beds. Full kitchen. Deck for barbecuing. The Red Door Chalet is the perfect getaway to disconnect from the technological grind. This is an older cabin with old furniture and some creaky floors. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is recommended for winter.

(ATT cell phone users usually have great reception) , or internet in a very beautiful but easily accessible old style family cabin on Big Averill lake. Running water and showers if spring water is available. The water is shut off mid October for the winter but local water pump source .7 mile away all year. Charming mini house in magical decor. Mini-fridge, wood stove, outdoor kitchen with dishes and BBQ. Surrounded by the farm's garden, there are animals and a barnyard including a rooster. We offer a welcome that includes a guided tour of the place. Located 7 km from the Mont-Ham Regional Park. Walk from the mini house to the bathing river " except in case of drought (10-minute walk). **Bedding is NOT INCLUDED but pillows are provided.
