Very comfortable hut, complete with everything and beautifully furnished! Very comfortable double bed! Great location, but maybe a little far away! Experience I recommend to those who really want to live an Icelandic experience!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin after spending a long day traveling and exploring geysir and gulfoss waterfall, nice that it was not far from there. We liked sitting in the hot tub looking at the mountains and horses, so serene and quiet. Next day traveled to secret lagoon based on the host recommendation, that did not disappoint!

Georg was very quick to respond to questions. He gave very clear, helpful directions as it isn’t easy to find. House was clean, view from the large living room window was lovely.

The home was comfortable and had lots of space. The kitchen had everything we needed to do our own cooking. The view from the house and from the decks overlooked farmland and mountains in the distance. Gudfinna was friendly and welcoming. She surprised us on our last morning with homemade waffles and jam. A great place to stay. Also the hot tub was perfect after a day of hiking.

We had an excellent stay at The Mountain Villa in early February. Hafþór and Björn were gracious hosts, responding to queries quickly and providing clear instructions to find and access the place. The villa itself was as charming and idillic as we had expected, everything was perfectly clean and tidy on arrival and the facilities were fantastic; we particularly enjoyed the sauna and cold plunge after long days exploring. Flúðir was a quiet little village but perfect for what we wanted, with enough options to eat and drink for the short time we were there, and easily walkable from the villa. The hospitality at Restaurant Minilik was particularly excellent, and the Secret Lagoon is definitely worth a visit too! The Mountain Villa was a perfect hub to explore the region, with lots of sights and walks within a 30 minute drive, and a good place to travel further into the South from. Overall, a perfect stay and we hope to visit again in the future! Thank you Hafþór and Björn!

Absolutely beautiful setting and a very quiet and peaceful stay. Exactly what we wanted. 😊 Located near several spots on our to-do list which was a big bonus! Would definitely stay again!

We spent two nights here with two kids and felt so comfortable. View and hot tub amazing. Loved the local links eg the church and how close it is to some of the landmarks. Thanks very much.

Our stay was wonderful! Property was very clean, very well stocked, and instructions were detailed and easy to follow. Hosts were responsive and easy to contact. Location was absolutely beautiful and the hot tub worked fantastic! Highly recommend this home!!!
