Our new renovated 85 square meter cottage is charming and welcoming, surrounded with beautiful Icelandic nature. The cottage is located at the top of the slope with a mountain, lake and woodland view. Direct access for nice hiking or romantic walk to the salmon river and the lake. It is close to many attractive destinations worth to visit. All beds are brand new and comfortable and heat in all floors. You are invited to stay at Birkiholt cottage, a small family owned cosy cabin, only 45 min drive from RVK. A quiet and peaceful getaway with amazing ocean views. Located in the beautiful fjord called “Hvalfjörður”. Only a 45 minute drive from the capital. The interior was completely renovated in 2024. The cottage is luxurious and has an outdoor natural water hot tub from where you can enjoy the Northern Lights or the fantastic sunset. The living area and the balcony have a spectacular view overlooking the fjord and surrounding mountains. The cottage is a great base for day tours in the south or west of Iceland. Come for a stay at a farm in the South-west part of Iceland. Enjoy the nature on a conventional Icelandic farm. During winter you might see the northern lights and experience the constant day during summer. Dairy cows, sheep and horses roam around on the farm in the summer but stay inside during winter.
