Family-friendly vacation rentals in Soldiers Point

The cottage at the Wanderers retreat was great. Exactly what we were looking for to unwind and the hot tub certainly helped with that. The host was very responsive and met us to orientate us with the place. One Mile Beach is an easy walk and a spectacular spot.

Great cabin located inside the Eaglereach Wilderness retreat. This particular cabin was nice and private, tucked away from the other houses. It had everything we needed for a comfy stay, and enough games to keep our kids entertained on a VERY rainy day! The facilities in the complex are great too: pool, outdoor gym, playground, small dam (for paddling), tennis court and rec room with pool table and ping pong table. A great holiday spot, all within east reach of Sunday. Sensational views too!

Our stay at Bella Vista was pure heaven. It’s been 10 days since we left and every day we have reminisced, scrolled through photos and contemplated when we can visit again! My son said today ‘I don’t want to go to school, why can’t we just live at Bella Vista!!’ This place was perfect for a family getaway. It was spacious, luxurious, peaceful and had everything we needed. The view is incredible. We can’t wait to go back.

We thoroughly loved our time at “The View”…and oh, what a view! Just spectacular from the front balcony. The property was spotlessly clean, and the King sized bed, super comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with cooking equipment. The Sunbeam coffee maker was an added bonus. “ The View” is centrally located in Shoal Bay, right across from the jetty, and just a short drive (or walk, depending on your choice of bush walk), to a whole host of fabulous places to walk and explore. Do yourself a favour, and drive over to Sunset Beach at Soldiers Point on sunset. Breathtaking!!! Mark and Lea are generous hosts with outstanding communication. We’d love to come back again to further explore this region and to further enjoy Mark and Lea’s hospitality.

Beautiful place. My folks loved it. The House is Lovely and cozy. Backyard is Huge full of Plants and Tress. Calm and peaceful vibe at the stay. Absolutely recommend for a stay.

Bundera Lodge was great for a short holiday getaway. Wonderful views across the valley, peaceful surroundings, and most importantly a great coffee machine :) Tim was really helpful and gave clear instructions. Everything in the lodge was in the right place and was working. The kitchen was well-stocked and had a variety of pots, pans, and appliances for cooking up a feast. Thanks so much!

Joe's place was exactly as described - tranquile farm stay with all kinds of wildlife visits! It even had everything for breakfast - bread, eggs, cereals, coffee and fruits! even an avocado!!! we also needed some extra milk and he was able to help with that! thank you Joe - we'll come again!

private and peaceful space, only five mins from John Hunter. comfortable bed and place. had all that my partner and I required while visiting the John Hunter hospital. no regrets on booking and appreciate the hospitality provided to us. Stewart came across as caring,thoughtful and respectful during a difficult time.

We loved our stay at Lauren’s place! Beautiful, modern interior, walking distance to Shoal Bay for restaurants, pub, bike hire or to watch the dolphins at sunset. Or for the more intrepid, lots of hiking options right out the back door. The house was so well-equipped we also spent some days enjoying the pool, pizza oven and outdoor entertaining area. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our stay and spending time with family at the beautiful, well appointed Caves Beach House. We enjoyed having breakfast at the deck, looking towards the beach. We also enjoyed walking to Caves restaurant and to Caves Beach from the house. Thank you for hosting us, Sue!

The location is super close to beach and restaurants, the suburb is quiet we all like it. My furry friend also loves the beautiful yard. We will definitely book this wonderful spot again if we back to Shoal Bay!

We enjoyed our stay at Travis’s place. It was well situated and tidy.

What a beautiful stay. The views, the pool, the whole house was just wonderful. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need including condiments and spreads. The house is so welcoming and feels like a luxurious home away from home. Our family enjoyed it thoroughly and there was plenty of room. We would recommend this house to anybody.

We had a wonderful stay for my mothers 80th with our kids and grandkids. Huge home that slept us all very Comfortably. Fully fenced yard with our grandson was amazing , as it allowed him to run around outside with us knowing he couldn’t get out. Plenty of pots and pans to use as well as suiting to eat together , either inside or outside. Downstairs was great for my parents to stay as they didn’t have to use stairs and is flat for my mum on a walking stick. Use of resort facilities was great. Kids played tennis and close walk to resort pool to take grandkids for a swim. We were all thrilled with our accommodation and would definitely stay there again. Great communication.

I felt right at home from the start. The clear instructions for bedding and check-in made everything easy, and when I mentioned that one of the fridge seals was damaged, they quickly replaced the fridge the very next day. Amazing service!

Carol's site is very peaceful in the middle of nature. The DayDreamer - our accomodation - was the perfect set up for 2 families with many kids and 2 dogs! A lot of space outside to play as the campsites were not occupied during our stay ;) Very relaxing! Also plenty to do short drives away from 10 to 30 min (beach, horse ridding, treetops, even go karting near Newcastle!!) ; plenty to keep everyone busy. If your thing is eating / coffeeing out, there may be other better suited options but it was perfect for us! Thanks.

We selected Ruth’s BnB based on availability and proximity to John Hunter Hosp. So very glad we did as we got an extremely flexible Hosp, air BnB that had a home feel and all the little nick nacks that you need in daily life that many BnBs don’t cover.

Beautiful place Katty and her husband very friendly people, the pool was clean and it had the pool toys, breakfast food free. Is a pretty place for the holidays. Definitely 👍🏻 💯

Simon’s place is simply amazing. Not only is a great house, in an amazing spot but It was equipped with everything anyone could ever possibly need. Simon was always available and responsive to any queries, and went the extra mile to find out more about our plans and interests so he could recommend activities or offer additions l help. I have stayed in plenty of Airbnb’s and I must say I think this tops them all, and no doubt I will be back.

We loved staying at Connie's property. It was perfect for a quiet, relaxing weekend away, with lots or amenities to keep you busy (if you wanted). There was lots of special extras included like home-made marmalade, musli and sourdough and other foods provided. Property is within reasonable driving distance to wineries and town centre of Pokolbin. Thanks for having us Connie.
