Farmstay vacation rentals in Southern Maryland

This was our second visit. We enjoyed the first one so much we had to come back again! We plan to continue to visit. This home and location is perfect for a peaceful getaway on the river!

Eric is an amazing host and person! Super friendly when it came to using the amenities and made us feel at home. Has great recommendations for food and local attractions. Beautiful property to walk around or just sit outside! Overall a 10/10 experience while staying at Eric’s home, couldn’t have asked for a better host for our weekend!

The location was beautiful and the home was very cozy. Sitting on the screened porch, reading and enjoying the view of the yard and water was good for the soul. It was very quiet and we had all the amenities we needed.

I think the Northern Neck as a winter destination is severely under rated! Cozy cozy cozy! I love the knotty pine room that looks out over Prentice Creek and across as the the conserved Ditchley Ciderworks' woods. There's another bald eagle!

The house was phenomenal! Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for a big family or friends. The house had everything we needed which made us feel right at home. Lots of crabs and fish off the pier. The hosts are very helpful and responsive. I will definately be a repeat customer 😎.

Overall, I enjoyed the place. The barn was minimalistic and nice for photos. The best part was the waterfront view. The house was very clean and pretty kid friendly (a few high chairs included). The kitchen had the bare minimum to cook and grill with but I wouldn’t say it was fully stocked. I would say in general that we enjoyed our stay. The kayaks were wonderful.

Spacious house, beautiful land, great pool, convenient location, great amenities, and great host. The house was large enough for 12-15 people without issue. AC was nice and cool and no issues (important for summer months). The kitchen had everything we needed and we found ourselves in the kitchen all the time. Coffee area was used frequently by us. Espresso machine is a plus. Ability to grab eggs from the coup was great for breakfast. Beds were comfortable. A LOT of beautiful land available, so if you have kids, bring soccer balls, activities, etc. We didn’t, but thanks to the pool it didn’t matter. Pool was a nice size. Not too big where you worry about the kids, but not too small so you can spread out. No umbrellas out there, so if you need shade bring some umbrellas. Luckily we had one in the car. Location is convenient. 711 five minutes away and full on shopping centers are about ten minutes away. We’re looking forward for the next time we can visit here!

Stayed with my husband, 17 year old l, and 12 year old. The beds were perfect in the spare room and I always travel with an extension cord which helped with electronics and charging in the spare room( not needed there were outlets, but was helpful). Perfect place to unwind after long days of walking and visiting the zoo and DC area. Amy was available when I reached out for local recommendations and expressed that she had extra info in the master bedroom. This location met all my expectations for cooking, relaxing, and safety. Most Airbnb’s look comfortable but don’t accommodate our family for relaxation so I was looking specifically for a sectional to watch movies or tv together and this space provided this and much more; really was comforting and felt home like. We cuddled up, I made some tea, and the view was amazing. Thank you both! We will definitely return next time we visit DC.

We had a small team outing here for a couple of days - place was tremendous and everyone had a ton of fun from fishing the pond to playing chess, enjoying the movie room, shuffle board table, darts, etc. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a wondferful time with extended family at this beautiful spot where you're surrounded by nature and expansive views from inside and outside the house. The views of the water and sunsets are breathtaking. The house has everything needed to cook family meals and share a comfortable and revitalizing time.

We had an amazing stay at this charming farmhouse w our young kids and elderly parents! The property was perfect for a relaxing getaway that we all needed. The chickens were a delight, and collecting fresh eggs was a unique experience. I cant tell you how much my kids love it. The pond added a serene touch, and the outdoor movie setup was a fantastic way to end our days. The host Hannah were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. She is so pleasant to work with and very responsive. She sent us the local recommended restaurant list and we love them all. We did a day trip to Washington DC easily from this location. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful retreat! Such an amazing airbnb stay and we will come back.

The place was incredibly peaceful and relaxing. I especially loved the Jacuzzi located in the yard, soaking under the sun with the beautiful lights above—it made the experience even more special. Everything about this stay was calming and refreshing. I definitely want to come back here again soon.

I arrived right after a big storm, where multiple trees blocked the roads on my way in. Carolyn and Randy were helpful and proactive and did everything they could to help me! Once I arrived they were hospitable and accommodating. The bed is so comfortable and the shower feels amazing- that is pretty much all I need for a great stay. It felt great coming home to such a peaceful place each evening. The pups are great too if you get to meet them. 10/10 recommendation! I hope to walk around the property to enjoy all the nature next time I visit.

This was our second time here at Abington Manor. Our stay was so peaceful and relaxing. We recommend as much porch sitting as possible. We will stay here every chance we get!

This historic property in Maryland is an amazing find. The property is a lovely two plus acres with many cozy retreats to stop and take in the wonderful trees. If you want a more rigorous outdoor experience, there is a lovely park 5 minutes away and a larger area with an arboretum about 15 minutes away. It is an easy walk into downtown which has several restaurants. The hosts have thought of everything, and I do mean everything. The character of the house is exceptional, but it is comfortable not stuffy. Lots of amazing artwork and books throughout. The kitchen is fully stocked and comfortable to eat or cook in. The rain shower in the bathroom was delightful and the beds are comfortable. It was a perfect place to have a mini family reunion for a few days. We will be visiting the house again

I had a wonderful stay at the Manor. Alex was an exceptional host—very responsive and accommodating throughout my visit. The manor is beautiful, featuring a charming vintage appeal perfectly complemented by modern amenities. It felt both timeless and comfortable. Conveniently, grocery stores and restaurants are just a short drive away, which made my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would love to stay again.

Scott and Melinda's place was perfect for a peaceful getaway for our family of 5. The water was so nice to wake up to and fall asleep hearing the water move by! The thought of all the basic needs and had everything easily accessible from fresh eggs from their chickens, a great variety of coffee pods and creamer, and all the other small needs that come up while staying in an airbnb. This was great since it is off the beaten path. If you are looking for some peaceful family time or a secluded retreat with friends, this is a perfect place!

We needed a quiet and private space to relax. Jordan’s space was all of this. We stayed here for a month and hardly ever heard Jordan and her family. Jordan was quick to respond if we had any questions. The bed was very comfortable and the views of the water were nice.
