Our guest house, affectionately known as the “shanty” is in a very private setting on our property in Sugar Hill. The are 11 buildings on the property that have all been built by the current owner who is one of the areas finest builders. We are near Cannon Mt. Ski area & about 1/2 hour away from Loon Mountain and BrettonWoods. We are about 7 minutes away from the Pioneer Wedding Barn venue in Sugar Hill and about 5 min. away from the Toad Hill Farm Wedding site that abuts our property.

The cabin is perfectly located for people looking to stay around the white mountain trails and is also super cozy for just relax after the hikes, cook something and watch movies. They have a great selection of DVDs and also Netflix. We were welcomed with delicious brownies that we took with us on our hike. I would definitely recommend their place for anyone.”

Our room was spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable evening, including a very comfortable bed. Parking was convenient and right outside the door. It’s a beautiful location, and just up the road is Polly’s Pancakes — A VERY popular local restaurant. If you want to get in, they weren’t even answering the phone to take your name for reservations (but we were there on a peak fall color weekend so that might’ve been the reason), so you would likely have to drive there to put your name on the list, but it’s only two minutes away. And another place not to be missed, is Plain Kates, just about five minutes away into town the other direction. We had the absolute best pizza of our life there, and that’s no exaggeration!! The Arugula and Wild Mushroom pizza is off the chart fabulous!!! Highly recommend staying with Dan and Kathy.... Thanks for everything!!”

What guests are saying:“We highly recommend Holly's place. We had such a wonderful stay and felt like we were in an Austrian chalet. Holly's place is very clean (spotless!), cozy, comfy and charming. After a long day of skiing, it was so nice to walk in and relax. The fireplace, stocked kitchen and special touches (chocolates and fruit), along with the comfy furniture and beds, made for a storybook setting stay. Not to mention the log frame, beams and stone work exterior. The shower was hot and strong for taking away the muscle aches from skiing. Holly was so responsive and helpful, and lovely. She also has added nice touches like, the history of the house, suggestions of things to see and do, cards and games, and reading materials. The dining table infront of the fireplace was great for family meals. We look forward to coming back. Thanks Holly!”
