Around the lake you can experience untouched nature. The Elster Cycle Trail connects Saxony and Thuringia along the reservoir dam. The town of Elsterberg with all shopping can be reached in 3 minutes driving.

Due to the convenient location to the A9 and A72, excursion destinations are easily accessible. Ideal starting point for destinations in Northeast Bavaria, Southeast Thuringia and impressions on the former German/German border. We are also happy about guests in transit, hikers and cyclists.
