Taigh Iomhair - Shoreside CottageTaigh Iomhair was originally a stone built thatched 'blackhouse'. It first appears on local historical records in 1814, but it is likely it was built in the latter half of the 18th century. The main structure of the house has not changed in over 200 years, but the property was internally refurbished in 2019, including new bathroom, kitchen, flooring and furnishings. The thatched roof was replaced many years ago, but the house still retains a character from a bygone crofting era.

It’s has a small kitchen hob, shower & toilet . Double bed , 2 chairs , fold down table with 2 chairs , microwave & fridge . The centre of the roof is Perspex , letting light in and enabling star spotting at night . Pets welcome . Your immediate neighbours are chicken & sheep .A bus to town can be stopped outside the house . Amazingly the yurt was built by hand without any plan
