“So this is going to be a long review but read it all! FIVE FREAKING STARS! Karim is hands down the absolute BEST air b n b host I have ever had. We were 4 20-something girls traveling from the states all over Morocco. Karim has great communication right off the bat. He sent and organized a driver to pick us up from Chefchaouen to take us directly to his Riad in Fes. (Transportation can be the most stressful part of a trip so having this taken care of right off the bat was amazing). Upon arrival we were met by Khalid and Ahmed (his assistants) who helped us with all of our bags directly to his Riad. The Riad is absolutely BEAUTIFUL OLD AND AMAZING. literally one of the coolest stays I’ve ever experienced. Everything was sparkling clean and gorgeous. The absolute ONLY small things I’ll mention (as I have to Karim as well) was that we were quite cold as there is no central heating / air. The Riad is 800 something years old so this was expected but we were definitely bundled up and cuddling at night! There were a few small heaters but considering the size and height of the Riad they really didn’t do much. The other thing to mention is that the showers are quite tiny...some of us couldn’t even stand up straight in one of them. Again...800 year old place, we all made it work and it was still one of the most amazing stays we’ve all ever had but I just felt I should mention it so anyone reading this knows. Aside from those two things I really cannot say enough amazing things about this stay but more importantly about Karim. He wasn’t even in the country for my stay (he was in France) but was still the most attentive and communicative host I have ever had. He was available to us via air b n b messenger 24/7, helped organize a whole days worth of activities for us in the Medina and around Fes with less than a days notice & he has an absolutely amazing team working for him as well. Khalid and his wife made us dinner both nights (which was amazing and a must do!!), Ahmed prepared our breakfasts and helped us with all of our luggage in and out of the crazy Medina, and Babousha (the driver Karim coordinated for us) was so so sweet and took us everywhere we wanted to go...and some places we didn’t even know about! Seriously stay at Karims place....obviously this is like the longest review ever so I care about it a lot! Karim was simply THE BEST.”
The Apartment is a 10-minute walk from Bab Boujloud (blue gate). Historical sites, restaurants and shops. This beautiful house in the heart of the Medina comfortably accommodates up to 7 people. The house is at your disposal during your stay. Free parking in front of the house. A minibus Van (approved by the Ministry of tourism) with driver is at your disposal on the spot for shuttle to the airport, train station and CTM and also to make the excursions
“OMG! This place is fit for a Queen/King. Never judge a book by it's cover. Walking into the place, I thought....what in the world did I get myself into. But once we actually entered the plaza of the palace, it was a sight to behold. We stayed on 1st floor in the big room and it was majestic. The entire place was exquisite and beautiful. The stay was comfortable and very clean. We loved it.”
My accommodation is close to the blue gate BAB BOUJLOUD, parking, public transport, banks and craft shops. It's calm, bright and comfortable. The Ryad team offers quality traditional catering, Moroccan cooking classes, laundry service, massage sessions, organization of transfer from and to the airport, excursions and workshops. Moroccan crafts. My accommodation is perfect for couples or solo travelers.
“Riad Vega was really nice. It is down deep in the Médina but they meet you in the blue gate and show you the way which is nice. Also because it’s further in its very quite. The Riad is very beautiful and the staff are super nice. They go above and beyond to assist you. My friend had purchased a jacket that needed to be altered and they helped us a lot to make sure that we got what we needed. Also we had a night that we stayed in another city (Chefchaouen) and they allowed us to keep our suitcase. We also got in very late one night and it was still flexible, they have a person there all the time. They also packed us a nice breakfast to go one day because we had to leave very early. The day we had breakfast at the riad it was so lovely. Very relaxing place to stay.”
