Hike to the shore, take a snack and relax at a covered picnic table while watching ocean-going vessels crises-cross Galveston Bay's Houston Ship Channel. Indians that lived of the land and sea left mounds of oyster shells in this area, still visible at the shore. HINT: walk-ins are free. Otherwise, request a FREE Pass from your host/hotelier to avoid the rather pricey park entry fee.

Hop on the trail system directly from the property for walk or bike ride ( bring your own). Approx 4 miles from Casita to Pine Gully park.
