Ponderosa Market is the closest grocery store, outside of driving the 13 miles to Payson. But, it is amazing. It carries great meats, a pretty good alcohol selection, firewood, and nearly every item you may suddenly realize you forgot to pack. They also have a small deli/bakery inside that makes really good fried chicken and pies.

Ponderosa Market: Friendly neighborhood market that has all of the basics and many specialty items. You will pay slightly more on certain items, but it beats driving 13 miles into Payson. They have a fantastic bakery that produces different breads daily, our favorites including banana bread and pumpernickel. Great fried chicken counter and look out for the locally made varieties of salsa.

For a little store, it has a lot of what you are looking for. Including: fresh baked bread, fresh pastries, pies, cookies and fried chicken. It also has an excellent meat selection as well as wine, beer and liquor.
