Perfectly idyllic beach and not well known except amongst locals. Miles of endless sand dunes without the crowds and we would like to keep it that way, so Shhsssh! :)

Miles and miles of sand! Benar beach can be accessed from the annexe two ways: 1. Walk straight down Station Road over the railway crossing, in approximately 20 minutes you will reach the soft sand dunes (fit walkers) or take the firmer, winding path towards the boardwalk. 2. Drive or cycle up to the main road (A496 through Dyffryn Ardudwy) then turn right. At Llanddwywye Church you will see a brown sign pointing right and you will reach a carpark at the boardwalk onto the beach. Seats are at the end of the boardwalk for reduced mobility users. The beach allows dogs but in summer months there is a restriction on dogs being allowed at the south end. They are allowed at the north end year-round. The areas are clearly signposted. Be aware that there is a nudist area slightly further north, also signposted.

This is our local beach, it is a 20 min walk or five min drive from us. It is huge and sandy with a mountain backdrop and goes on for miles.

This is by far the best beach ever! Largely undiscovered, it is accessed via a narrow lane, then a beautiful boardwalk which sweeps across the dunes to the beach. With views across Cardigan Bay to the south and the Llen peninsula to the west, it is idyllic. And there's not a donkey or kiss-me-quick hat in sight.
