Catch the ferry from Lyttelton harbour just a short 20 minute drive away to Diamond Harbour - great walks, cafe and scenery. Amazing donuts at Glamour Cake in the Lyttelton shops too or check out the Lyttelton coffee Co for some fine beans and cuisine.

It's a wonderful 8 min short ferry ride to Lyttelton where you can occasionally see dolphins and the odd whale. Lyttelton is a small village offering cafes, restaurants, supermarket and much more.

Diamond Harbour is one of my favourite places to go, via the ferry boat from Lyttelton. A short 10 minute ride takes you to the little village of Diamond Harbour. Here you can enjoy ice cream, a lovely cafe and a beautiful, scenic walk around the coastline.

Drive the gorgeous coastal road all the way down to Diamond Harbour at the end of the peninsula and then take the ferry back across to Lyttelton. A beautiful spot!
