Enjoy a picnic by the sea off the cliffs at Smugglers Cove. Visit the old Rum Running cove where they hid the alcohol during the prohibition.

Walkways in Smugglers Cove Provincial Park lead to great bluff-top views of the coast and down tree-lined steps to the shoreline. The coastal cliffs are notched with caves said to be used by prohibition rum runners. An ideal place to stop for a picnic lunch.

About 6 minutes North you will find Smuggler's cove where bootleggers used to make their exchange and leave their cache in the cave. At high tide you can kayak inside.

Only open during the winter months (and the last weekend in July for our Acadien Summer Spiel) A great place to watch some curling with a refreshment, meet people and occasionally enjoy a dance with entertainment.

Get ready for beautiful views and a long walk down to the beach! Try and get there at low tide to see the rumrunners hiding spot.
