You can enjoy good views over the ruins from a variety of vantage points, including from the nearby St. Mildred's Church.

While only a small section remains and is closed for repair until sometime in 2021 you can enjoy good views over the ruins from a variety of points and stroll along the walls and into Dane John's Park.

Canterbury is the closest city to the Lodge and it has all your city favourites such as good places to eat and some retail therapy. What makes Canterbury special is that it is full of historical architecture. Spend the day soaking in the history and enjoying good food :)
