The closest place (1.8 miles away) to grab a local beer, dinner, or groceries. There's a library, shopping, 2 ice cream shops, concert venues, yoga studio, and art galleries.

This neighborhood used to be a city of its own until it annexed to the city of Seattle in 1906. It has some great stores and restaurants as well as a movie theater that used to house a fraternal organization. Columbia City Theater and the Royal Room are both places to hear live music.
