The golden sandy beach of Agioi Saranta, located slightly north of Agios Ioannis is another famous beach in the region, and one that attracts a large number of visitors from all over the Pelion peninsula.
Agioi Saranta is a small village by the coast 3km away by a narrow, steep tarmac road from Makrirahi.Has a large beautiful beach resort with its golden sand and crystal blue waters. It is here where the green of nature combines in harmony with deep blue seawaters. At the right-hand side of the beach you will see "The Monk", which is a large rock. If you look closely you will be able to picture the shape of a monk who is bending. The small tavernas on the beach offer traditional food and tsipouro. The village Agioi Saranta is the perfect place for those who love peace, quiet and calm surroundings. Also there are alternative ways of fun and entertainment with coffee places and bars. You are also able to rent sea-bikes, canoes and boats. A few minutes drive from Agioi Saranta takes you to Agios Ioannis.
