It is said that Lord Buddha has visited this place during one of his visits to Sri Lanka. It is a very important place of worship for Buddhists who pay homage to the relics of Lord Buddha which are placed within the pagoda. Recommend visiting this place as it is a famous temple in Sri Lanka.
