The oldest steakhouse of Amsterdam, 100 meters walking, at the end of the street. Amazing steak and homemade fries.
Real locals know: Best steaks in town. It really is a secret. So do not expect English speaking services.
Wood furniture & panelling decorate this traditional Dutch pub known for its steaks & fried sole.
One of Amsterdam's first cafes (1949), still with all the characteristics of a pub. The reputation in the culinary field initially applied for the steak with bread, but now the kitchen is famous for its excellent meals prepared with care. A good example is the fried sole in butter of +/- 550 grams. Also here you can find the real Amsterdam humor without any thunder. An authentic interior: wooden furniture, floorboards, shining beer pump, gin jars on the paneling, oil ceiling with glass and wrought iron lamps, a few paintings and many photographs of clients who have had a very cozy here.
