Our favorite farm shop in the area for locally sourced produce. It's a 25 minute drive from the cottage and a good stopping point if you're driving up from Chicago. They grow mushrooms onsite and sell an insanely good basil and almond hummus called Skordalia. Banana bread is also excellent.

This little store is a local treasure. Locally grown and sorced goods and tasting specialties are why you go to River Valley. Shhhhh. It is one of our favorite secret fun places to go.

Mushrooms grown here + so much more. Store is tiny, but always has samples out. Prepared food to go, or shop for local goodies.

Amazing mushroom farm with gourmet food. Fresh mushroom sausages, lots of local produce. On the way to Lake Geneva and worth a stop if you are mushroom inclined.
