Devils Point Tidal Pool – good for younger children (where the locals go) at the end of Durnford Street PL1 (just before the Royal William Yard), keep walking down Durnford street until you get to the sea (just past The Artillary Tower) and you will have reached the natural tidal pool.

Wild swimming when the tide is right. Grab a plate of chips and a coffee after to warm you up. Charles Darwin left from here.

You can walk around the headland from Royal William yard to a wildflower meadow up on the headland. There are a number of swimming spots, even a small tidal lido, if you don't mind cold water! Around devil's point there are lots of steps down to the water for swimming off the rocks and platforms.
