Pretty beach, on the island. You can hike here by doing the Dragon's Back trail.
Not to be confused with Big Wave Bay in New Territories, this popular beach spot on the south-eastern shore of Hong Kong Island is a definite hit with expats who come here for the clean sand, convenient restaurants and relaxed vibe. Literally translated as ‘Rocky Bay’, Shek O Beach is a popular windsurfing and hiking spot so you can be as active (or inactive) as you like. Shek-O village still retains the vibe of a quaint fisherman’s village, although fancy summer homes dot the hillsides above the coastline these days.
