Nawab Wahid Ali Shah Zoological Garden, more popularly known as Lucknow Zoo, is counted among the best places to visit in Lucknow for nature lovers and family holidaymakers. Established in 1921 over 71 acres of land, the place is home to over 440 mammals, 340 bird species, and several species of reptiles and many other wonders of the wild. While here, you can enjoy toy train rides and paddle boating, take a look at the British-era vintage train displayed in the zoo, and visit the butterfly park and nature interpretation center. Your little ones can also have a great time at the children’s park. Timings: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm (February to April and August to October) 8:00 am to 6:00 pm (May to July and November to January) Closed on Mondays and public holidays Entry fee: ₹ 60 for adults; ₹ 30 for children

Large zoo with many animals, such as: tigers, lions, giraffes, monkeys, snakes, fish, birds, hippos, and more. The State Art Museum is also located within the zoo. There is a "toy-train" style train which goes around the zoo, and kids will enjoy.
