Waseda Shochiku is one of Japan’s now few so-called “famous cinema houses.” Based on the motto “great movies at a low price,” it shows double features every day that include mixes of carefully-selected new and old movies, ranging from recent movies that are no longer being shown in theaters to black-and-white works. A visit here is highly recommended. Wasedashochiku is located at 1-5-16, Takadanobaba, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. Tel: 03-3200-8968 The theater is accessible by: ★Takadanobaba Sta.
